I was thinking it's pretty brave to open another new boba teahouse place like 3 doors down a pretty established boba place. But after trying Tealicious, I see now that it's different things. I would say tealicious is more of a restaurant that serves tea drinks. (And their competition is a teahouse that also serves food). Tealicious's drink menu is pretty small, I think. And I had the pineapple fruit tea. I tried to adjust the ice level but was informed the drink was like a slush so it's hard to adjust the ice. So it's not a straight fruit tea. If it's a slush, name it accordingly please. That's a little confusing. I was able to adjust the sweetness level so that was ok. It came standard with milk foam too. I did like the milk foam - salty and sweet. The drink was half slush as in the bottom third was already melted. And then the ice was blended with some pineapple fruit. And there was a hint of tea flavor in the drink. I also added boba. They have something called black sugar boba. There were chunks of like a black gelatin mixed in with the boba. I don't think I've had black sugar boba before so not sure if this was part of it or it was just like boba that fell apart. Also the boba was very inconsistent in size and how it was cooked. Some were smaller or odd shaped. Some were too soft and some were hard. It was weird. From my one drink, can't say I'm a fan. May try something else next time. My bf and I also had lunch there. I got the black garlic tonkotsu ramen and my bf had the beef stew over rice. And we got the pan fried pot stickers to start. There were two options for the pot stickers - crispy or pan fried. We had asked or the pan fried but these seemed like they were the crispy ones as it was fried all around. Not sure as I will need to order both and compare. Nonetheless it was tasty. There were 5 in an order and came with a gyoza/soy sauce for dipping. I liked my ramen, for the most part. The noodles were so-so. They didn't seem like your typical ramen noodles and they were a little too soft and mushy for my taste. I liked the broth - it was flavorful. It smelled of garlic but didn't taste overpoweringly garlicy. It was also topped with half and egg, a few pieces of tender pork, wood mushrooms, cabbage and some pickled beets (maybe). All tasty. They also have a deal going on right now, where you can get a second bowl of ramen for $1 after you get a first bowl after 5 pm daily. They also have spicy and white original tonkotsu ramen options. I only tried a bite of the beef stew. It was interesting and different than other beef stews I had. My bf thought this was a little more tomato based stew. It also seemed a little bit too oily for me. But my bf gobbled it up. The RJM sandwiches looked good. And they have hand pulled noodles, I believe. Very impressed with their BBQ items. We had roast pork and roast duck rice place. It's the best I ever had in CA. The pork skin was super crispy and the duck was juicy and tasty. The sauce they poured over the steamed rice was so tasty that I almost finished the entire rice (I seldom ate so much rice). Beef noodle soup was also tasty with plenty boneless beef short ribs and napa cabbage. My husband and I felt so contented walking out the restaurant. The decor and interior of this place is cutesy and study friendly. I really wanted to like this place but... DRANK: I had the black milk tea with grass jelly and was disappointed. The milk tea tasted water down, I can tell by how the drink had a separation as if the ice melted faster before I drank it. Also, the color was A LOT lighter than a typical milk tea. Maybe the drink wasn't mixed well? The grass jelly had a rough texture, almost bumpy...odd... I love grass jelly and its usually smooth no matter how they are cut. Today, my friend and I decided to try some place new for a change. I've seen ads for this business scattered al around different social media pages. One of the main reasons this place stuck out to me was their promotion for a buy one get one ramen for $1. I've never seen a restaurant advertise anything like that around here yet! Anyways, we walked in and I was in awe with their beautiful decor. It makes you feel welcomed. The cashier greeted us the moment we walked in. Their menu is fairly limited which is understandable since they're still new. With what was there, it looked very appetizing. I love pork belly so I had definitely had to try their pork belly sandwich with a small Thai tea. We sat down on these super comfy chairs. I could've sat in them all day. I thought their tables were very different and creative. It was made out of wood. I guess you can say it gave the atmosphere an "earthy" feel.. haha.. Before our food was brought over, we could smell the aroma of the deliciousness that was about to bless our palates.. drools.. The pork belly sandwich had a distinct taste that I've never had before. There was so much flavor in each bite. I highly recommend this item from their menu in case you're feeling indecisive. We were prepping to leave and one of the employees came over to offer us a free plate of mousse cake! What a surprise! Who am I to turn down cake? Free cake?! A new boba place is in South Sac and it's epic. LOVE all the fruit in the tea and the natural sweetness. You order everything at the register and it comes out to you. I decided to order the lobster curry, which I believe was $14 and I got a whole lobster tail. The curry dish was large and filling and well worth the money spent. My girlfriend and I frequent this place. We usually take a few visits till we review places. Now is the time for Tealicious. Tealicious sits at a weird plaza, as in it looks old outside and kind of ghetto even but once you get inside, it's a totally different place. It's like visiting California from Montana. Nevertheless it doesn't disappoint every time we come to visit. In fact, it gets better every time. Their pasta is a must in here; my girlfriend is crazy for pasta and she loves this place so I'll take her word for it. Their ramen is pretty good, but then again I'm loyal to Shoki's healthy ramen, but I understand that my taste is somewhat of a rarity (not to say that I'm bragging, at least I hope it doesn't come out that way), thus their ramen I believe would cater everyone's taste otherwise. Whenever we come here, we always get their pineapple fried rice which is amazing. That's not even the best part, because their price is just, hello!? Aren't ya'll losing business? It's that low. Even their drinks are cheaper than the iTea a few blocks away. Really like this little place. I met a friend for lunch and she ordered a matcha latte while I had a Thai iced tea. We also were treated to a free order of pot stickers and both ordered the tonkatsu ramen. My companion's latte had a fishy taste, which can result from such things as stale matcha powder, using too hot of water to brew the matcha, etc. She told the waitress she didn't like her tea and it was replaced with another selection without any fuss. Although the pot stickers were a bit overdone they had a good flavor and we both thought the ramen was really good. Your usual popcorn chicken, soups and rice plates I see. I have yet to try any food items from there but let me tell you it all looks good! From the pictures on Yelp to seeing it come piping hot out of the kitchen for customers! So, I ended up getting the Black Sugar Boba Latte and it was very good! It's basically fresh milk with brown sugar and yummy boba. And I am a huge dairy consumer so that drink fits my needs perfectly! And the customer service there is always very nice, I have been there a handful of times now and everytime I have been in, there has been a new face. But the customer service is ALWAYS very pleasant! First time trying both the tea and ramen from this location. I ordered a small Thai tea with boba and it was delicious. Creamy and just the right amount of sweet. I also ordered the white ramen. Because this was ordered during COVID-19, we were unable to eat in the restaurant but they had clearly marked signs for ordering, mask requirements and hand sanitizer. My ramen order was nicely packaged for takeout. The mix-ins and noodles were separated from the ramen broth. It was very good just a little bit too salty for my liking. I came here about 3pm on a weekday, and there was a decent amount of people. I think word is slowly getting out that there's yet another boba shop in town. It was about the size of two of phones. They also have desserts at the counter that aren't on the menu, so I was confused. The staff never informed me too. I'm assuming they switch the desserts out periodically... I also had the chicken curry and was sadden. I had like three strips of chicken and a few potato pieces and mostly rice.
