As others have stated, particularly Ashley C, their drink selection is extremely minimal (like 10 options). The biggest disappointment is that you can't get boba in the fruit drinks (only the plain tea, milk tea, and/or tea lattes). Lame :( And, their milk tea is blah. The mixed fruit drink is ok, but I would prefer it with boba. I also don't think it's worth nearly $6, particularly if you don't eat the fruits after finishing the drink. It wasn't busy the first time I went, yay! They were extremely enthusiastic, to the point of being overbearing and overwhelming. But, I'll take that over rude and unhelpful. I did appreciate that they had pictures to show of their items. Unfortunately, they weren't really able to answer my questions about menu items very well. I asked what a tea latte was and the girl couldn't help me. So, they could work on product knowledge. Second time I went the cashier was much better and things seem more organized that the first time. I appreciated that the girl went and asked/verified her answer to our question about food (if the curry lobster comes with a lobster tail, as shown in the pic on the menu). Btw, the bf said the lobster curry was alright, not bad but nothing he would crave or need to get again. I was planning on never coming back. But...I ordered the hand pulled (biang biang) noodles, which are sorta similar to Dan Dan noodles. I'm a sucker for hand made/pulled/cut noodles, so I had to try them. They're definitely not very appetizing, but damn, I enjoyed them. I was honestly disappointed to have liked them cus I seriously didn't care to come back. But, alas, I've been back once already and I'm sure I'll be back again for more. Overall, I think they need to expand their drink selection, especially in terms of drinks that can have boba in them. I heard this place has the best duck in Sacramento. Not sure if it's the duck or the batch they made, but it was so salty. The meat was tender and the skin was crispy, but the seasoning was just average for my taste. Also, the duck was smaller than other places. It was fatty and had so much oil. Parking sucks... but if you're coming to his part of Freeport, you know what to expect. Restaurant ambience is bright, a bit cramped, and has very limited seating. We were seated pretty quickly as we came in during the tail end of the lunch rush. The appetizers were excellent. Biang Biang noods were soft and silky with a good amount of flavor, the roast pork was crispy, tasty, and not overly fatty, the spicy pork ear had a good texture and on the spicy side as expected. HOWEVER... the black garlic ramen was DISGUSTING. It totally ruined an otherwise good meal... The broth was tasteless, the noodles were a soggy mush, I think there was remnants of half an egg somewhere... the pork was the only decent part of it... But hey, I'm the dumdum that ordered ramen at a Chinese restaurant (some of those Yelp pictures looks so appetizing). There was a Caucasian lady sitting here that was offered water, even though I was here before her. The restaurant staff didn't even think to ask if I wanted water. I guess me being black could have been the reasoning? It took 20 mins to receive by drink after the staff made all other orders that came after me. This is a cute place. Interior is very nice and modern. Pretty small but good for small groups of friends or families. Came here on a Saturday evening and they were not too busy. My friend and I just wanted something to drink. I ordered the black milk tea with black boba 80% sweetness. My friend got black milk tea with grass jelly 20% sweetness. After we placed our orders at the counter, we took a seat waiting for our drinks. The staff that took our order brought the drinks out to us which was nice of her. My drink was bitter. Tea overpowered everything else. Next time will have to stick to regular sweetness. I like my drink sweeter. Boba was good and chewy though. On top of that, I was up all night and couldn't sleep until 5am lol. I guess too much caffeine haha. They don't have a huge selections of drink options like other boba shops. When I went over there after 15 minutes , it was not even ready and my mixed ice drink was not ready neither . They was not busy only one table of customer. This place is amazing! It's a cute little cafe/shop with so many options for snacks, food, and drinks. They have a huge sign outside with their ramen and hotpot specials. For lunch, ramen is buy one get one half off. For dinner, personalized hotpots are buy one get one half off. It's also nice that they have a station where we can help ourselves to water and tea (yes, the hot tea is on the house). There was about 15 of us. We tried the popcorn chicken, calamari, coffee ribs, and tan tan ramen. I got the Red Bean Slushy drink. Everything was really good and the flavors were on point. I've been to this place a few times, the food in general, with the exceptions of the bbq and roast pork, duck, goose etc, it was good but not great! The other dishes on the menu is good but not great!! The main reason that I am writing this review today was, out of all the other visits I have never encountered anything like I encountered today when I decided to go there to pick up a roast duck/roast pork rice plate on my way home after work. I got there just a little after 3:45pm, walked in , a couple of tables of customers were eating and a large table with the owner and staff were also eating. One waiter guy at the counter greeted me and ask me what would I like to order. I told him the order and paid him and he informed me that to please wait 10 something minutes because the chef is having lunch or dinner. In my head I was thinking, what? I'm paying customer and I have to wait for your chef to finish his meal before I get mine? I've been in food service business since I was 18 and now I'm 70 and never heard of that before. I started as a busboy and worked my way up to be Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Director in a hotels and country clubs and had never heard of that before, ever! But I waited anyway because I figure it's only 10 to 15 minutes and there was no other customer. Some time went by and a bunch of walk ins to go orders started to come in and another waitress with the owner's wife greeted them and took the orders. It's beginning to get busy, but those cooks still sitting down talking. To make a long story short, by the time they all got up and I looked at my watch, it was almost 4:15pm. The waiter that took my order finally gave me the order at that time around 4:20pm, apologized and gave me a small ice tea for free. Hey guys, that is not how you do business, especially food service. If you don't want to be disturb while you eat, all you have to do is close the door, lock it, put a sign out there and tell your customers that you don't do business while you eat, one , two hours, whatever you like as long as it's consistent so that people can have an expectation of what they can get from you. That standard business practice, inform your customer! Talking about informing customer, I got another complaint about this business with the way they handle their business at their other store in Elk Grove. I was informed by one of their waitress during one of my prior visits that they have opened another store in Elk Grove near where I resided. So again, to make a long story short, I went there two separate times, but the store was closed, no sign, no explanation, no nothing on the door, just shut! I called them after my 2nd time there and ask them what's going on and all they told me on the phone was that they can't work out a lease with the landlord! For Christ sake, then put a damn sign on the door and let your customer know, don't just shut the door and that's it! You keep it up, by the time you got a lease and finally opens, nobody will come anymore because they're don't know what you were doing, came by expecting a meal and found out the place were closed but with no explanations. That's a joke, not to mention it's bad business practice, keep that up your business won't last long because people talk and word of mouth can either make or break your business, but that's all up to you and you alone! read more

I placed a phone order and ordered the BBQ pork platter that cost $35 dollars and a side of Crispy Pork for $12 dollars. I looked at some pictures on Yelp and saw that the BBQ pork platter looked yummy. The platter comes with Duck, BBQ pork, Crispy pork, and Empress Chicken. I was told over the phone they ran out of Duck so I replaced the duck with the Empress Chicken. I also ordered a side of BBQ pork but When I got there they showed me the platter and told me they have duck and they ran out of BBQ pork. So I was not able to get the side of BBQ pork and they happened to have more duck. I felt like the communication was all over the place.
