Ordered a carne asada and pastor taco. I didn't enjoy either of them. Pastor tasted like they added lemon grass. Maybe I'm tripping, but I'm sensitive to the lemon grass flavor and don't usually like it in dishes, so it was a bummer. Another place I know not to get tacos from, but maybe the tea drinks are good. Disclaimer: would have given 4 stars but our drinks took SO long to be prepared for some reason (we were literally done with our food by the time they came) that I had to take a star away... My husband and I went axe throwing on one of our date nights and I decided to pick a new dinner spot nearby to add on to our itinerary. We had an early dinner at this place because it had decent reviews and had an interesting fusion menu that piqued my interest. When we arrived, I noticed right way that it's a "college town" spot with (likely) college students working the shop. The service was great - everyone was super friendly! I got a jasmine green milk tea with boba while my husband got an oolong milk tea with boba because they were sold out of grass jelly, pudding, AND aloe (all 3 of his top choices for toppings)! LOL... As for food, we shared tacos with steak & chicken & another order of chicken nachos (I just can't help it, nachos are my favorite, hehe). Food and drink are both decent. Visited the Teaqueria for the first time & was not disappointed! I order the chicken taquitos & a mango mojito tea. The flautas were the perfect size order for lunch & had great flavor! Served over a generous amount of rice. The rice wasn't my favorite but it's not bad. Just a little on the dry side for me. The mango mojito tea was good but super sweet. I would ask for less sweet next time. Also, they just dropped waffles on their menu for dessert and they looked yummy! I didn't try them this time but saw some others eating them and they said they were good. The prices were pretty good, and they have a patio area that is nice to enjoy when the weather is good. Also message to owner- it's hard to find your restaurant on Google maps. I was able to find the barber shop but not yours. For years I have worked down the street at the boyscout office and have not heard of your place. I wish I found it sooner! I stumbled across this place while trying to figure out why so many Fire Trucks came from this area. I checked the website, it said 7pm closing, Google Maps said 6pm, Yelp said 6pm and when I got there at 5.30, they were taking the outside seating away. When I checked the hours inside, it said 6pm closing so totally confusing. I ordered the Burrito with Tofu, no cheese, no Sour-Cream (Whole-Food Plant-Based). It arrived and was partially open at both ends, I have no idea why taqueria's cannot wrap a burrito properly. It immediately started dripping and when I took a bite, I saw carrots and mung beans, both of which were not on the burrito menu. The menu says: Rice, Black Beans, Pico De Gallo, Sour Cream, Monterey Jack and pick of protein. It tasted okay, nothing to rave about. They started packing up as my Burrito arrived so I literally had to eat as fast as I could. The place is more like a teen hang-out than a Cafe/Restaurant. Wanted to try a different taqueria in the neighborhood and this fusion boba/burrito joint popped up. Hip and modern interior with dark wood picnic tables and big screen tv's so definitely cater to that neighborhood and the Bellarmine clientele. Kept it simple (no boba) and ordered just the chicken chimichanga since its been years since I have had a chimichanga and for the price ($12) the portion was great as it was nicely filled up with chicken topped with guac and fried to a golden brown. The fried goodness sat on top of black beans, pico de gallo and a quinoa type spanish rice which paired well. I had it as a take out but it was a little soggy when I got home but still ok. Not sure I would return but if I have another chimichanga craving I have this place on my list. Came here on a Friday evening and wasn't sure if I found the right place or not at first. Teaqueria is located right across from Bellarmine on the corner of the street. Parking lot is tiny, about 4 parking spots, so most likely you'll have to go with street parking. They have outdoor seating with a large tent for shade, and indoor dining option as well. The decorations and menu were colorful and fun with simple interior designs. The vibe was very comfortable and chill. They have a good amount of selections on their menu and the staff were young and friendly. Our party of two decided to go for their chimichanga, nachos, and quesadillas with two of their fruity drinks, yum! Portions and price were fair and I enjoyed the food. It was a treat to enjoy their Asian and Mexican fusion. After all, we live in the Bay with a diverse population! Decided to try this place while's school's out so I wouldn't have to deal with the highschool crowd. I ordered a green thai tea with pearls and the fish burrito bowl. The thai tea was surprisingly good, and they were really nice about substituting the milk to non-dairy for me! I was surprised at the serving for the burrito bowl. It could be due to it being off season, but I got four whole fillets of fish! The bowl lasted me almost two entire meals. The fish was pretty dry though, so heads up. Honestly one of the most interesting fusion places I've been to but in an incredibly good way - where else can you get REALLY good boba AND Mexican food in the same spot? The nacho cheese was similar to what you would get at a baseball game, very processed but delicious! Nothing too Mexican about it. The chorizo burrito was my favorite thing. Does it sell tacos? Yes. Burritos? You betcha. But... is any of it any good?! If you've read this far, you've earned the answer but you can probably guess it; yes! The tea was FAR superior than had expected it to be. We've all been to those chain Boba restaurants where every flavor tastes like some sort of instant mix powder. This is not it. The flavors are skillfully mixed together and not overly sweet and the topping portions are generous. I would honestly rate the drinks even better than the food. That's not to say that the food isn't good but let's judge it as a Mexican "fusion" type of food fare. The chips and salsa are fairly standard. The burrito is good but not what you'd expect to find at a more "authentic" Mexican restaurant but it still hits the spot. The taquitos... meh... I'd pass on them and opt for tacos or a burrito next time. Not bad but not amazing. To top things off, prices are fair and you get a good value for what you are paying for. Burritos come in at $10 each and the average food menu item price is around there, Plus or minus a couple of bucks. Drinks are all around five dollars and you can opt for a "combo" if you are ordering food and a drink and the combo is an additional five dollars on top of your food order. Compared to the soaring prices in the South Bay, this is one of the few restaurants left that isn't trying to nickel and dime you! I'll definitely be coming back. It wasn't the best fish tacos I've had. When i went to order taquitos, i learn that their oil is not ready so they cannot make fried food. So how did they make my fish? unless it was leftovers from previous day and so they just reheated it (air fry or baked) which makes sense because that would be the reason why it was so dry and so overdone. for an additional $5 you can make your food into a combo meal which includes your choice of drink and either rice & beans or chips & salsa. And now that i've tasted their salsa, you can forgo this combo. just order a drink separate because it's $5 for drinks anyway. I personally didn't like the salsa. I went to Teaqueria on a weekday afternoon and it was packed! (Bellarmine is across the street, so I assume Teaqueria is a popular after school hangout for them?) The indoor and outdoor seats were all taken so I took my food to-go. The owner rung me up and was also really nice. The nachos I ordered were really good! The nachos chips were so crunchy and tasty I could eat it by itself. IThe toppings and meat were also cooked and prepared really well. They also gave a large portion size and definitely didn't skimp out on anything! I'm not a fan of beans, but still really enjoyed it anyway. 10/10 recommend! I saw Teaqueria on Tiktok and was interested in trying it because of the boba flights, which I thought was very unique. Teaqueria is located in a residential area, so you will have to look for street parking which was not hard to find. There was a small lot, wasn't sure if it was for Teaqueria or the deli shop next door. My friends and I ordered two tacos each and two boba flights. Originally, we wanted to order three boba flights, but was told that they could not do that. The interaction with the workers was a little bit awkward. We had to keep asking questions to understand why and all of that. So, I knocked down one star due to customer service. We were new and never tried Teaqueria, but felt uncomfortable speaking to the workers because we just felt like they didn't really have the knowledge to answer our questions and what not. It was also just awkward that with some items we wanted to order, we were told that they didn't have it. Maybe next time, there should be a note of the items that are not in stock that day. The tacos were okay, not bad. I think the habanero sauce was really good and made the taco taste better. The boba drinks and toppings were all pretty good. Everything was perfect- the tortilla was soft and tasted fresh, the chicken was very tender and well flavored, and there was a perfect mix of rice, beans, pico, and cheese. There was a subtle creaminess to the burrito as well. Loved it! Quesadilla was also very good- nice combination of cheeses melted to perfection Taco: I was disappointed shrimp was taken off the protein menu since part of the reason I came in was the yelp pics of the shrimp tacos. I ended up getting fish which was odd.. the fried fish pieces were small, and were drowning in guacamole. They actually accidently brought us meat tacos at first, and I should've kept those instead since they had a more reasonable meat to topping ratio. This is pretty hidden from the main streets in a quiet neighborhood, but don't be fooled, it can get super packed during lunch hour on weekdays since it's literally across the street from a high school. During that hour all the students come and get lunch but afterwards it quiets down. I've always ordered their nachos and it's super tasty. Comes with guacamole, pico, black beans, nacho cheese, and sour cream. All of their items in the menu lets you pick a protein and there are sauces and extra add ons as well. Boba is served here too! The boba was good but the food was such a let down. It definitely wasn't up to my standards. The flavors were bland and they also forgot to add some things that said were to be on the plate. I had to go back and ask if they ran out or they just forgot to put it on. The service was standard. The cashiers were very sweet and caring. It did take some time for our drinks to come out but that was because it was very much in the middle of kids getting out of schools. Which drives to my next point, this establishment is RIGHT next to a school. So there are gonna be a lot of kids hanging out getting drinks. I think you can get it w/o meat but I asked for chicken. I almost ordered the chilaquiles (it's on the menu) but they make it w/ red sauce so I ordered chicken taquitos instead (spicy). For Gavin I ordered their bacon fried rice burrito. When we first got there, the service seemed distant but I knew it was because they were busy. After our meal was served, the same gentleman that took our order checked in on us. The food was so good that I was already planning what to order next time. The burrito had the Asian hint to it. Came w/ chili oil in a condiment side cup. It was delicious and the serving was quite generous. The taquitos were my favorite; fried perfectly and topped w/ fresh and crisp lettuce, avocado aioli, cheese, and pico. It was heavenly and did pack a bit of heat. I already spoke about the nachos. We took what we didn't finish home. Gavin finished the burrito the next day and I finished the nachos that night. No regrets. 7/5/21 Teaqueria is a spot that has mexican cuisine and boba...It's a very odd combination, but let me tell you about the food and the experience.... I was helping my boyfriend move and we were both relatively new to the area. Teaqueria popped up on my yelp app as a recommended spot so we walked there from his apartment. It was about a 10 minute walk, but we were both so hungry from the move, so by the time we got there we were famished. When we got there, we were greeted by the staff, and they helped us with our order. After we ordered, we were told we can sit inside or outside and they would bring the food to us. Here's what we got: 1. Chorizo burrito (his) 2. Chicken rice bowl (mine) 3. Brown sugar milk tea with boba and mango popping boba (you get 2 toppings for a boba drink) We sat outside and the food came in less than 10 minutes. Both the bowl and the burrito smelled delicious! My bowl had two eggs in it with runny yolks and wow, it all tasted so good! The chicken and the rice, mixed with the runny egg and salsa on top was an explosion of flavors! I liked that they cut the burrito in half since burritos are messy and are difficult to share when it's a whole burrito. The burrito was good too, but it was a bit spicy for me. I enjoyed the cold, sweet taste of the black tea flavor, but the boba itself was okay; it could have been softer. The boba was average, but the food was delicious and the service was efficient. When we ordered we had our hearts set in the rolled tacos (taquitos) but we're told the oil wasn't ready we didn't go right when they opened, but hey, if you're means we know they clean their oil regularly, I'm so for it! Mexican food and boba?! Definitely a unique combo that I recommend you check out. We ordered a hodgepodge of food including nachos, tacos, a quesadilla, a burrito, and of course one of their boba tea flights. Each savory item allows you to choose any protein between steak, chicken, chorizo, and tofu. We pretty much got steak on everything except for the tacos (chicken and chorizo). It also comes with a sauce so we got their orange sauce (very good and not spicy). The best items we got were definitely the nachos and the tea flight. The nachos were aesthetically on point and the flavor was absolutely there. A lot of good things going on with nacho cheese, guacamole, pico de gallo, steak, and black beans. We got the small order ($8) and for what you get I think it's well worth it to share. We got the international Tea flight which comes with your choice of 4 toppings. Thai tea, taro milk, milk tea, and horchata plus our toppings were brown sugar boba, rainbow jelly, regular boba, and egg pudding. For $12 this was a great way to have a sampler of toppings and drinks which is really unique that I haven't seen anywhere else. Their regular milk tea was my favorite of the bunch and the tea flavor is strong here (in a good way) where you really get to taste it rather than masked by milk and excessive sugar. The tacos, burrito, and quesadilla personally for me all fall into the "ok" category. That being said we got to talk to the (owner I assume) and he was really friendly and even gave us some cut fruit to end our meal :) In our conversation he mentioned that they do have and will be pumping out new menu items in the future which is exciting to hear. I think we are spoiled with amazing Mexican food all around California and as such I think Teaqueria can carve out a name for itself by trying to do more unique dishes and flavors that maybe other more traditional Mexican places don't do. read more

Decent food and drinks. Pricing is higher than normal. In a cute neighborhood so ambience was decent. More than many times this place closes half hour earlier than posted times. read more

We got the nachos (with steak), a quesadilla (with chicken), and a tea flight (international -- Thai tea, taro milk, milk tea, horchata / toppings: honey boba, agar crystal boba, mango popping boba, lychee jelly stars). This place is exactly what it sounds like! The menu has milk/fruit teas and Mexican food, and everything we ordered surpassed our expectations. The highlight of coming here was definitely the milk tea flights. It was nice to get a taste of a bunch of different flavors and the Thai tea was my favorite! This place deserves more buzz, I highly recommend checking it out. The staff was also friendly and genuinely seemed to care about their customers. read more
