I've had the classic Thai (pictured) , the Grasshopper (AMAZING) , Mango on Fire (the BEST) , and the Strawberry Sangria (YUM) literally you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. This is my favorite Teaspoon and go to place for boba ever since they opened! I had semi-low expectations bc other Teaspoons I've tried are pretty hit or miss with tasting watered down (and charge $1.20 for additional toppings *cough Teaspoon San Mateo*), but Teaspoon Hayward consistently meets and exceeds my expectations 95% of the time (there's been once or twice the boba has tasted a lil off but it wasn't disgusting). The staff is also ALWAYS amazing. They are friendly and high energy, even when they are swarming in orders and drinks to make!! I typically order through their app, then pick up anywhere between 10-20 minutes later. Most of the time it's ready, but when it's not, I've never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes. The place can definitely get busy with lots of customers so we did have to wait some time before placing our orders which was no problem. Ordered a couple of tea boxes of the bride's favorite drinks for her bridal shower and man I was so shocked how good their teas are! Strong tea flavor, not overly sweet, and great price! Each tea box served 8-10 people. Service was top notch! I called in a day earlier to make sure I can get it in time. They originally quoted me noon, then called me back and said 1130am, but on the day of they got it completed by 1115am! Wow! I wanted it as early as possible so that was so great of them to get it done so fast! When I arrived they had everything ready to go. They were so nice they offered to help me bring to my car and even gave me extra toppings! From ordering to pick up service was excellent!!! They put a pack of ice in the tea box to keep it cool for your event. They provided cups and up to two choices of toppings for each box. 10/10 would recommend for any upcoming events or even just to keep a stock of tea in your fridge for whenever you are craving milk tea! I came here yesterday evening with my friend. I was kinda excited because I had heard good things about these boba shops. If I could rate Customer service they would get 5 Stars , they were so nice and very helpful. They seemed to be very knowledgable about their drinks. I even asked them what their best sellers were, one of which was the Strawberry Sangria, which my friend got. I ended up getting the Caramel Cream which was also a favorite according to them. The Strawberry Sangria was like a seltzer or a carbonated drink and really did nothing for my friend. I ended up trying it and it made my cheeks feel funny from the tartness of it. Like it wasn't sweet, if anything bitter. The Caramel Cream wasn't much better. I know how milk teas can be, if it's black tea based they can usually have a bit of caffeine, but this was like a shot or three of expreso in my drink, it was so bad that I only took a couple of sips before getting a headache. It tasted quite bland and only had green tea flavor. I was contemplating on going back and asking for another drink, because I didn't want to be a bother. Well, I decided to go and ask if I could add more fruit syrup to my drink, but one of the associates(I believe she's the supervisor or manager), insisted on making me another drink. Good spot for blended and fruity drinks! Friendly staff, they'll make sure to get you on the phone # reward system in case you're a returning customer. For the drinks; My favorite is the Ladybug, I feel like it's the fruitiest drink you can get. The flavors work well together, plenty of passion fruit seeds and pulp. The Strawberry Colada is probably I think the most popular item here, I always see people getting it and there's a reason why. The texture is perfect and there's a nice huge amount of that yummy strawberry sauce mixed with the colada mix. I wish there was a pineapple+strawberry version of this. I have to lower my score a bit but it's due to personal taste. I did not enjoy some of the drinks. The Flamingo looked interesting but for me it fell short since the watermelon taste really overpowered the passion fruit, I could barely taste it. The Guava sunset was a bit off for me, like had a fake syrupy taste. Maybe it was an off day I'm not sure. The Caramel Cream was pretty good but I've had better caramel/brown sugar milk drinks. The boba was warm when I ordered this one so that's a plus! Ordering in person is pretty easy but I also recommend ordering via phone, they usually can put together your order pretty quickly if you order in advance. Boy was that delicious and thirst quenching. A concoction of cucumber juice and green tea doesn't sound delectible but it sure changed my mind. The taro milk tea was good but keep in mind there are actual chunks of taro inside. There is no tables or chairs for you to sit and enjoy so to go orders only. I'm so glad they opened a Teaspoon in Hayward! There's always plenty of parking and I'm excited to hit enough points to get a free drink using their rewards program! When my friend told me about it, I started going in almost 3x/week since I was studying for a big exam and needed the caffeine throughout the day. I usually go for milk tea, but I tried the Grasshopper and Lady Bug the other day and I liked them both! I get all my drinks 30% sweet so the Lady Bug is tart, which is good if you like tart more than sweet. Grasshopper is really refreshing and is probably my favorite Signature drink!
