i have gone here many times. this time I placed my mobile order at 2:22 PM it said it would be ready by 2:42 PM I arrived around 2:30 I waited until 2:42 before going up and asking them about my order. They didn't even start making it. I'm not sure what happened but they had to manually print out the order that they must have forgotten to do. Craving boba, I found myself in this really nice tea shop somewhere San Francisco. I got the Rose Petal Oolong tea with boba that I personally wasn't exactly fond of, but still it was a pretty good choice and it had a very interesting flowery taste. I really liked the fact that there were many kinds of oolong tea (usually I never find that much variety in the other boba places I've been too). I honestly think I'll go back and try all the different kinds of oolong tea. They also have two different kinds of boba (honey: regular boba; crystal: clear "low calories" boba) and the guy at the registered kindly explained me the difference and gave me advices on what kind of tea I should have picked and why. He was very nice. The service in general was really good and pretty fast. My friend and I both loved this place and I would recommend it to everyone I know. I'll definitely come back. read more

By now I've been to at least 4 different Teaspoon locations and this was by far my quickest engagement with the chain. It was a pleasant surprise because I was originally planning to go to the typical stand-out SF boba spot but my friend wanted to try something different so we decided on Teaspoon. The thing is, I usually try to stay away unless I have a good amount of time free because my experience tells me that I should expect to wait 30+ minutes from the time I get in line to the time I get my drink. But not at the SF location! Honestly, I don't remember if I wrote another teaspoon review before, but I highly recommend sticking to the "refreshing" drinks. 80% of the time I get the mango fun time but once in a while I'll get the grasshopper or liquid gold. It's a boba drink store, I'm sure you can make your own choices, but if you're looking for my opinion, you can't really go wrong. read more

I'm glad that Teaspoon decided to open a location in SF! Their employees are very kind and accommodating, as I've experienced in their other locations as well. Sometimes I take a long time to decide what I want to get, and I never feel pressured or anything to make a quick decision. One of the employees also explained how they brew one of their drinks to make a special flavour, which was really interesting and informative! The drinks are pretty similar to the drinks they make at their other locations, but the prices are 50 cents more expensive (probably to account for their correspondingly more expensive rent in SF). I like their creamy jasmine, rose petal creama, and liquid gold. I haven't tried their shaved snow here yet, but I'd venture to say it's probably also quite good as I've tried the shaved snow at their other locations. They have a pretty good BOGO deal for drinks right thru the end of March (I believe) where you like & share one of their posts on Facebook. read more

Ordered the Classic Thai Tea with Boba and the drink was excellent on a warm day! I had no idea this place was right on Polk, but I'll definitely be back to try some of their other drinks. They were also extremely fast at preparing the drink given the corona-times, so definitely a 5/5. read more

Great boba place! They don't have much seating area, but they have a variety of drinks and shaved snow. The people who work here are really nice. Didn't realize that they have Teaspoon in Southbay too. Parking is a bit tough unless you want to pay for the parking lot across the street. They serve boba and snowice! They were having a promotion where if you buy 2 boba you get a snowice sample for free. I thought "sample" would be small but it was huge! Definitely enough for 2-3 people sharing. Got the lychee green tea with cucumber juice(75% sugar). It's different! Pretty good, but I might skip the cucumber juice next time. I cant really taste the lychee. Honey boba is good. Drinks are unique and delicious. Boba is soft and chewy, grass jelly isn't too firm or soft, crystal boba is my favorite and they have it here. Milk teas are creamy and fruit teas actually taste like tea. I highly recommend this if you want to branch out into different style of boba. read more

Fell in love with this boba place when they started in Mountainview. So glad I don't have to make the trek to get my fav boba drink - the grasshopper!! The staff is super friendly and efficient. We ordered a green tea snow with mochi and condensed milk. I wish the snow was creamier, but the flavor was good and tasted like jasmine green tea. The mochi had an interesting flavor. Their toppings are limited but that's okay for us because we just want some quality shaved ice. It's hard to find a good place that can stand up to our fave shaved ice spot -- Blockheads in LA. The service was great. We asked for extra condensed milk and they gladly gave it to us. They even told us to let them know if we needed more afterwards. Today was Teaspoon's grand opening in San Francisco. I arrived about 45 minutes before they opened their doors and the line was already 60+ people deep! Boba fans of all shapes and sizes awaited in the cold rain. By the time the doors opened the line was down the street and around the corner! Lots of hype around this grand opening!! I had been to the Palo Alto location in the past, but have not had a chance to try all their bubble tea flavors and their snow (in between an icee and ice cream). This time around I got the Taro Lover with Taro chunks, egg custard, and crystal boba, although they totally forgot to put crystal boba in it :(. The taro tea was good, but not enough flavor for my taste. I need to come back to try other flavors, before I can make a final decision on the place. I've really enjoyed Teaspoon locations in South Bay and decided to stop by one of their SF locations. As usual, the tea itself was delicious--my personal favorites are the house milk tea and the roasted oolong. The service at this location was a bit slow, as they only seemed to have two people working on a relatively busy Saturday night. The boba also seemed to bit a bit harder at this location than at others I've tried, and 75% sweetness is a bit much on the palette. Overall, though, really good boba! read more

Toffee milk tea + almond jello- eh, I tried to recreate my typical Almond milk tea with egg pudding. Fail, this wasn't that good. I'm a die hard Teaspoon fan from the South Bay and this location doesn't disappoint. Big fan of the milk teas and Teaspoon does it best. The drink quality and flavour is very much on par with our fav locations down south. The service here is slightly slower than we've seen ah the Mountain View and Santa Clara locations but nothing too notable. I've yet to try their snow but friends I've gone with always swear by the shaved ice or snow treats so imagine those are great too! I will say the location is great and central for walkers but if you're driving and looking to stop by it'll be tricky. There's minimal street parking in front (since it's such a busy area) so you'll need to round the corner and park on a small street before making your way out with a short walk to grab your boba. Teaspoon has a great ambience. Their menu is very simple to follow and it doesn't overwhelm you with lots of options. Their jasmine milk tea was very nice and had just the right amount of a floral kick. I can't speak for their boba but I imagine it was just as tasty. A bonus here is that they do shaved ice and one of the flavors is milk tea so if you want dessert and boba, you get the best of both worlds. Caution to people who come, the seating space isn't too big so you might get stuck without a chair depending on the time you go. The cups are also very cute and stylish. read more

Amazing boba on Polk! If you are looking for a place with genuine tea and soft and chewy boba, this is the boba shop for you! They have a huge menu with various teas like the usually jasmine green tea or black tea to special ones like white grape. Not sure what you want? No worries, they have samples of two different flavors out every day! Their pricing is very fair, consider it is SF and they actually make high quality drinks. I recommend the Liquid Gold or anything with the white grape tea. Also, the cream is a MUST (it's basically what makes your drink a milk tea vs. a mixed tea drink). Fivestars check in and rewards is another plus! Parking is limited to street parking in local residential areas or meter parking. I highly recommend Teaspoon on a warmer SF day or after a meal on one of Polk street's many great restaurants and bars. Check them out! read more

Choice is limited but still one of the best boba places in town. They don't do the usual tea/flavoring permutations. Rather, they created a short list of tea drinks that taste good. Pretty neat concept. The best part is they open late (11pm). I've done so many late night boba runs to this place: pre-ordered on Yelp at 10:30pm and went there to pick up at 10:45pm right before they close. The quality of their tapioca boba balls is also pretty consistent. Taste fresh even when I pick up drinks from them right before closing time. A good sign of their quality control. read more
