Mike A. was our server tonight and according to my Mother in law, at least 5 other occasions. Each time Mike has been completely flawless from a service standpoint. We have never had bad service here, but Mike is the man! Our favorite dishes are the grilled spanish octopus, burrata salads, branzino, halibut, and steak. But, I mean you really can't go wrong here. Came here for a bridal shower. It's my first time in a long time. I have never been here since it's been "Teca." We had a nice private room downstairs. It was very bright and held about 50 people or so. It has a door that leads to outside which made it convenient for the gifts to be transported home. It had its own bar and bathroom downstairs as well so we had a completely private party the whole time which was nice. You can choose between self parking or valet. The host at the front door greeted me instantly with a smile and led me to where the shower was. The servers downstairs were attentive and responsive as they handed out appetizers, coffee, cake, etc. The rest of the food was buffet style. It was all good. I would be willing to give this place a try for dinner. I would highly recommend it for a private party. It's quite large and can hold multiple large parties at a time. read more

Went here on a Friday night. There was not much parking so we thought we would have to wait for a table. We decided to go in anyway and was able to get a table right away. The food was not that great for the price, but it's the location. The DJ played music extremely loud; it was hard to hear my partner and we basically had to yell. I recently hosted a surprise retirement party here for my mother. Kurt, the event manager, was very responsive these past 2 months as I planned this event. I truly do appreciate him being in constant communication with me. However, I will say, I feel slightly duped. My father and I went into this event knowing the bill wouldn't be small, however, when you give someone a contract there's a level of expectation that comes surrounding a general price. Our bill ended up being about twice as much as expected. I had mentioned the house white wine was horrible - it tasted like rubber! So tell me why whenever they saw an empty glass they'd come fill it assuming we wanted it? It was simply to keep charging us by the bottle, so naturally our price continued to rise. If someone voices a complaint, rectify it. It was so awkward for my father when it came time to pay, and obviously we didn't want to sit there and argue so we paid and went on our way. I also found myself rushing at 4:00 on the dot to take everything down, as we would've been charged $250 for any additional time past 4:30. Ridiculous. Teca provided a good experience overall, and the staff was very friendly, but it was definitely not worth the high price tag. I can't imagine what a bill would look like for an actual big event, or one at night (apparently the base rate is higher!) I would definitely consider coming back for dinner, but I don't think I'd consider hosting another event here. Overall, don't come here if you want something affordable and extraordinary. read more

Came here yesterday for a baby shower and was so impressed! The place is beautiful! Parking was tight, but no problem thanks to the complimentary valet! As for the food - SO good! My wife and I attended the first weekend after opening...it was busy and clearly they're were many wrinkles to iron out. Servers were polite, but it seemed like our main server had a training server with him, which was awkward because our main server didn't seem to have it perfected yet. The hostess was also polite, but I felt her outfit was a bit to provacative for a younger lady (maybe I'm old school??). The managers were swarming all over the place looking disheveled, and frustrated...which I can understand being a new place, but if you're opening a higher priced restaurant, you should be hiring higher priced managers for fluency. And, I'm into style...so all managers should be wearing the same thing. Not one with a sweater, and the other with a baggy loose fitting suit. Dress the role for success. Scenery looked great. Decor looked great. Setup was great. Food...overall, was good (not great). Tuna Tartar was good. Salmon entree was good. I had the lasagna...not so good. Arrived in a pan, loaded with cream sauce and soggy noodles. Not what I expected. Lastly, I do not like the branding. The name TECA was on every plate and on the wine glasses...really?? Overall, it was pricey for mediocre food and service. I'll go back once more hoping for a better experience that all wrinkles are ironed out. I'll update a new review as well. read more

Had an excellent dinner. An outstanding wine list. Superb service and the food was first rate. Minor complaint that it was very noisy. I had a solid Caesar salad and meatballs with ricotta. Wife had Branzino filleted table side. Friends had filet. All of it was great. I didn't have cell service and I only took one picture. Old world excellence. Alberto was there overseeing it all. Valentine's Day was a success thanks to the amazing staff! Felicia was our server, and her etiquette paired with an amazing personality made the nights as fluid as possible. The managers on shift, Michael and Greg were always available and a delight to be around. Periodically checking in on us, without being intrusive and maintaining a very personal ambience. I attended a private event at Teca and really loved this place. I tend to not like expensive Italian, but being in the Wine Cellar was a great experience. The wines they selected for our group were delicious, and service was impeccable. I had the Chicken Parm for dinner, which was exceptionally tasty. I heard great things about the other meals as well. Had my mother-in-laws memorial here and they did an excellent job!!! We had an open buffet and they kept the food fresh and hot for over a period of four hours. Nice work. The bartender who worked the open bar was also amazing! The only downside was dealing with one of the male managers who was not nice to my grieving wife. He was condescending to her when she called a couple days before to confirm the party. He's one of those restaurant managers who needs to move on with his life and find another job. He's angry and hates questions like: "Is it ok for us to show up early before our guests arrive?". We only called because we had not heard from the nice lady who booked our party. read more

Checked back at 8pm and he gave me another line of B.S. Waited until 8:15- 45 minutes!!! after the reservation and still no table. Will NEVER go back there. It's a 3 star overrated pizza joint. Also, one order was wrong-missing a key component. Also, prices are high. Essentially no kids menu. Our 5 year old ordered a cheese pizza - she got a full-sized, very tasty, $16 pizza. Bill for 4 adults, 2 kids under 10, with 2 alcohol drinks and the rest just water came to $249 including tip. If you can afford the price and the wait this is your kind of place. Had some specials read off by the waiter, partly my fault but a salad 19.00 bucks and a New York strip was 45.00 (totally not worth it) and I ordered the house wine and a small glass was 15.00. I was totally ripped off for mediocre food. Really my wife and I went for lunch and it cost 162.00. This is not acceptable in any restaurant. Today I went to a whore establishment that price gouged me. There will be no tomorrow going to this place. I even had my sons bridal party dinner there. This is the second time my group of friends met here to eat will not be coming back. The food is GROSSLY overpriced and MEDIOCRE at best and the portions are small. They are charging 30 plus bucks for almost every entre, including chicken and pasta. In fact, my friend got a margarita and they had the audacity to charge her $16. everyone else basically got pasta because no one could afford the price of anything else in the past. This came in these little tiny dishes. No one was reading about the food, but everyone ate it like I said it was mediocre not terrible. Just not worth the price. I don't have a problem with small portions. I have a problem with small portions and big price tags at a place like Teca. I wouldn't call it fine cuisine but it's priced like a French restaurant Anyway, I had a salad, wedge salad. The blue cheese was so cloyingly strong and the dressing was butter. I also I got a meatball. It was an OK meatball, but it was not the greatest thing I ever ate and it did not earn the price tag. I got one scoop of pistachio gelato and I swear they used a melon Baller for the scoop. I needed a magnifying glass to find it. I mean come on people, it's gelato, not caviar. But the worst part of the experience was the waitress. She was the same waitress that we had last time and she's extremely rude. She constantly interrupts when people are talking, and comes over to the table time after time after time to tell you minutia like what fork she's giving you what knife she's putting down to help you cut your salad, shouts and barks at you over and over and over and it was all very passive aggressive. It's like she would wait until one of the girls was in the middle of a very funny story, and everybody was laughing and talking, and just when the person was ready to deliver the punchline, she would come over and interrupt really loudly and stop everything cold. She easily did it 10 times. Now, everyone likes an attentive waitress however, there's also an art to it. You read the table. If it's a bunch of old friends who obviously haven't seen each other, you know they want to talk to each other. You might think I'm being overly harsh. However, the last time we were there, we had the same waitress, and she literally nearly sat down at the table with us. She would not stop talking to us. I was very annoyed by this and when my friend suggested, we go to Teca, I expressed my misgivings, however, since we all live in various places around the county, the location is convenient to all of us. I can only speak about a party that I attended here. At first when I walked in I thought - 'ok its a nice upscale contemporary mexican spot (TECA? I assumed especially when the T looks like the Mad Mex logo) . I'm thinking we will have a big corner table for a big group . Oh No!! We were escorted to a hidden Old World Italian style brick laid wine celler with high brick archways above and ample extra rooms for kids to play and let the adults party! Enough room for everyone to walk around, extra table for favors and decorations. Very beautiful place for a party! The service is excellent , the bartender and staff were very helpful in making suggestions on drinks. The menu was prefix but the hosts made excellent selections. The salad had shaved parmesan and a delicious light dressing. Chicken marsala was tender flavorful and saucyyy. Loved it! The penne mmmmm i dont know how it was so delicate yet packed with flavor. For dessert - cannolis and cake were served. The resturant staff packed a box for us because I mentioned we were leaving soon - so much attention to detail! My husband and I had a wonderful dinner this evening at Teca. It is nice to stay local and enjoy a nice meal on their patio. Tonight was perfect. Our waiter Tom was professional, knew the menu and the specials and provided attentive service. Teca has an expansive wine menu. We enjoyed Mount Etna dry white wine from Italy (5081). It was perfect for a summer evening. We shared a caprese salad after enjoying the bread and sun dried tomato dipping sauce. For dinner, I was pleased with the halibut over mixed vegetables. The halibut was a regular on the menu so I was excited to enjoy it. Ed had the homemade fusilli with slow roasted pork and Asparagus spears. For the first time in years, he rated his dinner an "A". Amazing! The star of the night was a young waiter assistant. This young, tall, thin, red haired gentlemen was courteous and on top of everything without being overbearing. We never had to ask for anything. At the end of our meal Chef Chris stopped by and we let him know how pleased we were. This may have been the best meal I've had in years! There were five of us; we ordered and tasted a variety of appetizers, entrees and desserts. The restaurant is exquisite, with subdued colors and patterns. There is a huge, smartly appointed bar. Hostesses and waitstaff were very professional and seamlessly worked together. My husband meets a friend at the bar during the week, and says the burger is always perfect. Our dinner icluded a veal chop and boneless rib steak, done perfectly. I had a pasta dish with meatball, could only be the Chef's Mama's recipe. There was enough for two meals. We ordered a pizza as an appetizer. Delicious!
