I would give no stars if possible. i never write reviews, but the 'customer service' is non-existent and yes, that matters. I only go to them because they sold me a junk Ford and they are the ones who have to replace my transmission and clutch. 4 times in 4 years--bought BRAND NEW. Have dropped the ball on NUMEROUS occasions with my service appointments and loaner cars. Have left out pertinent information regarding the car's issues/defects. NEVER again will I buy from them or recommend them. In fact, I'm making sure as many people as possible know they should avoid this dealership at all costs. Service Department I called and scheduled a basic oil change for 4:30 pm today. When I arrived, the service guy behind the desk looked like he bit into a lemon because they were real busy and he seemed disappointed that I showed up. Another sales associate told me that they were "slammed" and it would take a while for my oil change. However, he could not give me an estimate on wait time. I said "well is it 2 1/2 to 3 hours? " He replied, "could be." He was apologetic but did not ask if I would like to drop the car and get shuttle service. My question is why have appointments if you are likely to be slammed. Afterwards I left and immediately went to VA Tire and Auto which is about $10 cheaper and way less of a wait. In fact, my car is already done but I wanted to finish this review while fresh on my mind. read more

If I could give this dealership no stars I would. I came in to look at a vehicle on Thursday. Liked the vehicle very much went home to figure out the financing but was still in contact with the salesman, Philip Lombardi. Contacted him this morning wanting to purchase it. He said I'd need to leave a deposit until we could get in tonight to sign the papers. Shortly after was told via text, he was unable to take a deposit. We contacted the Sales Manager, Darnell, explained we were headed to an event but would be in this evening to sign the papers. He said he would hold the truck and set it aside until this evening. Not but 2 hours later, I received a text message from Philip that unfortunately the vehicle was just sold and that there was nothing that could be done. I would never trust anyone at that dealership, they are liars and won't stand behind their words. A true testament to the stereotypical used car salesman. Recently I had to have my water pump and a front wheel-bearing replaced. I took my 2013 Explorer (with over 110k miles) to Ted Britt Ford in Chantilly and received the most courteous service from Mike Brech. He walked me through all the aspects of the repairs my vehicle needed and provided me a quote prior to any work being performed. When I went to pickup my vehicle, Mr. Brech again explained each of the items replaced, the expense, and the warranty I would have on the service. I cannot tell you have refreshing it is to have a dealership not try and oversell you on things you don't need, but instead reinforce all the good things about your vehicle and that your purchase with Ford is one they value. They honored their Internet VIP price for '14 Fusion-- far lower than other dealers--they actually bent over backwards to honor that price even though I did not meet requirement for one rebate. Everyone from Henry P (salesman), Hank (internet), Lisa (Cust Svc) and Daniela (Finance) were patient, kind, and helpful. There was no 'bait and switch', there was no lying, there was no overselling or pushiness. I would love to rate this company lower. On april23 this company decided to not come to work today and do their jobs. I brought my truck in for two things an oil change and a issue with my tire pressure sensor fault light was going off. I arrived and left under the assumption that it was fixed as and I quote they stated " your good to go". They also stated that they "reset" the system and shouldn't have any issues. I drove 30 min away continuing on with my day and bam wouldn't you know the same issue popped up. Tire pressure sensor light came back on. I called and told him and drove back to the dealer to get it resolved. After being there for 30 min the service attendant came back over and said so we found out that one of your rear tire sensors isn't working properly and it's going to be an additional 169$ on top of the $250 total bill we charged you before. How is this customer service again? How is it my flat you ran the check supposedly and then didn't find it only to tell me we found an issue with basically what I told them in the beginning? Anyway this customer service is garbage as they weren't willing to work anything out with me and continued to argue with me say and I quote " I can't do that, I can't help you out you have to pay for the part and there is nothing I can do". I don't ask for much and the only thing I ask for is for someone to do what they will say they will do simple and easy it's their job. You say you'll fix it you better fix it. read more

I bought a new 2016 Ford Focus last year. I never got a Thank You or a follow up of any kind. I called up there a few months ago because my bluetooth wasn't connecting to my phone. They basically said, "It is your problem." The only communication I got was a recall notice from Ford. Ted Britt doesn't even want to take care of that. Their Motto at Ted Britt: "You drive it off the lot, It's Your PROBLEM." ---- I bought a new Focus from Ted Britt. It has 4000 miles and I called up there about getting my oil changed. I was told when I bought it, they would provide oil changes for some period. I thought they were a reputable company and I didn't need to ask to get it in writing. Brooke in Service told me if I don't have it in writing and I don't remember the salesman. They would provide nothing. I asked about a Recall Notice. She put me on hold. I waited 10 minutes. She finally came back and said, they would call me back. They never did. Once you buy a new car from Ted and drive it off the lot. They owe you NOTHING. That is what Brooke said. read more

My mother doesn't always think clearly. She is a 90 year old woman in poor health. She called this dealership earlier this week, the salesman came to her house, got her money, came back with a car, told her she could not move it until she had insurance. When I became aware of what she had done as I live in another state, I called and talked with several Sales Managers and left a message with the General Manager to rescind the sale. They refused. Then the next day, this dealership told my mom that the deal had gone through. My mother's poor health is quite obvious to anyone that sees her and surely this salesman saw that. read more

Bought my car there, ok sales team. I'd go back for sales. Later brought my car back for service a few times. The service advisor was evil. She seemed to have a chip on her shoulder. I was cordial and calm with her. She didn't even thank me for my business. I returned several times with the same issue. Even after showing her the TSB she wouldn't fix the car. I spoke with Gardner Britt and he made some lame excuse and seemed uninterested. This is after buying a $45k car from them! I went to another local Ford dealer and their service dept is awesome! Took my car in for oil change/servicing and it ended up needing new tires (which I figured just from looking at them), brake pads, and new motor for running boards. Ted Britt was able to get parts in on a rush, had no problem giving me a loaner car. Andre was wonderful to work with and kept me informed as to what was happening with my car. After I purchased this vehicle, and then looked at the service reports, I too had to suffer through their lack of professionalism at the Auto Park location. Its very unfortunate when a business has to rely on the integrity of their employees, because it's the family that owns the place that has the integrity and customer satisfaction. Hopefully they use these reviews for training, because there is a horrible morale and a lack of ethic and character.Rather than having 60 unprofessional, unethical and uneducated individuals, including the "clown" that gets hired to be the consumer satisfaction representative; hire 30 responsible and committed professionals. Over the years, I've purchased 5 vehicles from Ted Britt and have always had excellent service and exceptional customer care. When my auto needed service they always provided a loaner. Recently, I brought it in because of some brake noise. I was told that it needed brake service but since it was an on-the-spot requirement and I hadn't made a normal reservation a loaner wasn't immediately available. The service agent, Kourtni Jones offered to take me home and pick me up when the repairs had been completed. I recently purchased a 2009 BMW through Ted Britt of Chantilly. Run or drive the other way...or in my case, ask Road Side Assistance to give you a ride to another dealership! I genuinely like the car and wanted to enjoy my purchase. However, there were problems as soon as I received the car as the adaptive headlights indicated a malfunction upon delivery. The bigger issue was that I needed the battery replaced after a few weeks of ownership. Two weeks after purchase my car would not start and I was forced to call Road Side Assistance 6 times in 2 days. Now Ted Britt extols the virtues of their Battery Replacement Program but its all smoke and mirrors. I was informed by a service tech. that I was not eligible for a battery replacement because the Battery For Life program is only viable after owning the car for 4 years. I was then advised that I should take it to a BMW dealer and get the sales rep to pay. Since the vehicle needed a jump every time I started it and I need the vehicle for work, I took it to the BMW dealer and got the battery replaced. Ted Britt has yet to respond to my request for reimbursement. Perhaps more disappointing was the questionable tactics utilized during my purchase. I repeatedly advised my sales rep that I did not want my credit report run because of the negative effect it has on the credit report and I already obtained financing through my credit union. I was promised that it would not be run. However, when I met with the finance officer I was told it had been mistakenly processed. I do not have a personal issue the sales rep although I am gravely concerned that he would act in such a dishonest and potentially illegal manner. As a matter of fact, I sent him a text wishing him well because he seems like a young man with promise. Naturally, I question his honesty and do not accept the 'yeah, car salesman are shady' as many have indicated when I tell this story. As I told him, I want to build a relationship with your company so I need you to play this straight. To date, I have called and sent emails to various people in the company and have yet to receive a response. While it appears they "got me." which is the inherent risk when purchasing a vehicle from any car dealerships, I have advised family and friends to look elsewhere when purchasing a car. If I can prevent others from dealing with a dealership like this then perhaps my experiences will not be in vain. My advice, find a dealership you can build a relationship with and not one that will take your money and run. read more

Awful, awful, awful. If I could give this ZERO stars, I would. Everything went smoothly and warm and fuzzy UNTIL I paid for the car. Almost immediately, we were ignored, blown off, and poorly treated from there on out. My husband is military, and we are technically Florida residents, temporarily stationed here. Multiple staff (excluding Lila, who was great) were absolutely worthless in helping us get my new car titled correctly, and fixing the errors THEY made. We dealt with a slew of personnel in every department, tossed around from one person to another because no one wanted to, or would, help get it done right. Even Garner Britt, III got involved, and he too was just as incompetent as the rest of them. I purchased my car in March 2010, and the whole ordeal didn't get straightened out until July 2010. Absolutely absurd. If it weren't for all of OUR hard work and multiple trips out to the dealership, it probably still wouldn't be fixed. I would absolutely NOT recommend purchasing a car here. They will treat you great until you hand over your money. Spend a little extra cash and go to a dealership who actually will spend the time and effort to do what they get paid to do. I have written such few negative reviews on yelp aside from this one, but I felt with only one other reviewer giving this place such praise, my experience with this dealership needed to be shared. read more

Recently bought a new car here. What a disaster. The sales people were great, but the rest of the support staff were completely incompetent. Everything that could possibly go wrong, did. They messed up EVERYTHING: financing, paperwork, registration. I live in DC, and they gave me wrong information at every turn. They told me I needed to get my new car inspected before they could register my car. I didn't. They lost the insurance paperwork I sent them. It was impossible getting a hold of the right people. About three days before my temporary registration expired, I was trying to call them trying to figure out what to do. The receptionist told me to keep calling this one number, I did. It turned out that the person was working at another location. When I asked if anyone else could help, they said no. Only that specific person was in charge of what I needed, and it was no else's job to do that job. These were their words. I complained to the general manager; he never bothered to address my complaints. Service here is absolutely abysmal. Go somewhere else. I absolutely regret going there. Oh and I forgot to mention. I told them I wasn't sure I wanted to go with their financing company. That I got a better rate from my credit union. When I went back there to get the payoff amount (because they kept ignoring my emails and phone calls), they said that they could offer me a lower rate. They wanted me to sign new paperwork. The lady said, that everything was the same as the last paperwork. When I asked to see a copy of the old paperwork that I signed, she said "oh well everything is the same but this fee." She tried to sneak in these fees in the new paperwork they wanted me to sign. So anyways. Yeah these people are incompetent AND dishonest. DO. NOT. GO. HERE. read more

We just purchased a vehicle from a great salesman, Joe Gorospe, at this dealership. Joe was very patient with us as we were still debating between two different vehicles. He was not pushy or tried to force us into a quick buy. He asked us questions about what we were looking for and answered our questions to the best of his knowledge. We made several trips to Ted Britt and each time Joe was very courteous and tried to meet our needs. He helped us by letting us test drive a few vehicles and even had other vehicles delivered for us to test drive so that we can make the decision. We really appreciated his patience and the fact that he did not try to press the sale or talk us into buying the more 'expensive' vehicle. We highly recommend working with Joe if you're in the market for a new vehicle. read more

Worst service ever!!! Would rate 0 stars if it was possible... I took my car to get it fixed, they did the "repairs" in less than 2 hours, Jonathan gave me an initial estimate for 900 just to call right after telling me they would charge me another $200 and the car would be just fine. Which I agree in the hopes that they would do a good job. But I was so wrong they returned my car in worst condition that was originally in :( I spoke to jonathan and he said no worries bring it back and " we will take care of it". Which I did, as soon as I walk in he had a completely different attitude, he was not polite and dismissive to say the least. Call me about an hour later to tell me that I'll need to pay another 1000 for something they ruined in the first place!!!! Asked to speak to a supervisor he transferred me to Ryan who was so rude telling me he would believe the technician before me and that what I was expecting for a 180 diagnostic. At the end I paid 1000 just to have them ruined my car!! extremely disappointed won't recommend to no one!!! read more

I hate buying cars. I always feel a litle sick to my stomach and my heart starts racing when I think about it homestly. I was preparing myself for yet another stressful, high pressure, discouraging, bad experience. Boy, was I wrong!!! Our sales associate, Randy Swan, was great. At first, we didn't know quite what to think, but quickly realized Randy was an honest guy who wanted to make sure we were satisifed. I couldn't believe how easy the whole process was. The worst part of car shopping, in my opinion, is the negotiation. We were pleasantly surprised how easy negotiating with Randy and the team was. We got the price we wanted on our new '14 Fiesta, we got the price we were hoping to get for our trade in and there was no high pressure sales tactics to get us to spend more than what we wanted. The entire team who worked with us just simply stated what packages, options and extras we could purchase, but no pressure at all to add anythng on. Our last stop was finance and we saw Jimmy. Very nice guy who knew his stuff. We are a military family and have lived from coast to coast and Hawaii and we have never had a car buying experience that was so nice as we had at Ted Britt in Chantilly. Highly recommend. I purchased a 2017 F150 from the Koons Ford in Falls Church, Va. I had a good experience with them. I took that truck in for service at the Ted Britt location in Chantilly, Va and Kourtni was my service professional. She had top-shelf customer service skills. She made me feel as if I were a part of the Ford family at Ted Britt. The experience was so amazing that I upgraded because she had such an in depth knowledge of the F150 line of trucks that some luxuries I did not have in the 2017 XL they were available in the 2018 XLT. The experience with Kourtni even made me feel comfortable to rely and trust that their service department is #1 in the region. Koutni if you are reading this, you are a rock star. Dropped my vehicle off on Monday for what was supposed to be same day service. They called later saying they wouldn't be finished until Tuesday and would call when ready for pick up. They refused to return my calls on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Late Thursday I finally got Gardner Britt on the phone and he assured me it would be done by mid day on Friday. On Friday they advised me that it would actually be finished sometime next week. All on what was supposed to be the same day repair of a safety recall item. I recently leased a car at Ted Britt Ford in Vienna, however I am an out of state customer and specifically asked my salesman, Al, if they are experienced with out of state sales - he assured me they do "huge" sales and that it wouldn't be a problem. Well, it has been nothing but problems. They didn't collect important documents (title for my trade, missed a signature on a finance form, lien release) and contacted me in New York to send - which I did. Then I was contacted again because they failed to indicate they needed an original lien release, oh and by the way they need just one more thing...this has been a hassle and I am wholly dissatisfied with the experience. read more

If I could give this review 0 stars I would. Let me start off by saying that my first impression of the dealership was positive. Both my wife and I were treated promptly and with terrific customer service. That was until we signed on the dotted line. We traded in one of our vehicles for a used truck, and at the time were very happy with the terms. The salesman told us the vehicle had a warranty and that all cars go through a thorough 160 point inspection and that if we had any issues to call the manager David Imani directly. Well, let me just say that it took 6 attempts to reach Mr. Imani when we first discovered the issues with our vehicle. Issue 1. All of tires had Tire Rot Issue 2. Brake lights were out. Issue 3. Right rear indicator light was out. Now after calling for over a 2 weeks, I was forced to make a special trip to the dealership after a 2nd state inspector said the tires were not safe on the road. They both said it passes state inspection (barely) but if we were to hit a pot hole or curb, the chances of a blowout were high. Armed with this information, I immediately left work and took the truck back to the dealership. The first person I ran into at the dealership was the manager David Imani. When I asked him why no one was returning my calls, he acted shocked and said "you havnt received a call from service yet" Mmm...no sir I said, its been over 2 weeks and your last message to me was that you would take care of my issue's. David immediately pushed me on to the service lady by the name of Susan. SUSAN is the rudest person I have ever encountered in customer service. She actually put words in my moth while explaining to the techs why we were trying to bring the truck back. She even had the nerve to use Gods name in vein when I told her not to put words in my mouth. Long story short, I was told that the warranty did not cover tire rot and that I had waited too long to bring the problem to their attention. I explained that I had left numerous messages, and they stated that I must have contacted the wrong dealership. I immediately pulled out my phone and scrolled through my phone history. I showed them the 5 available calls on my history. The lady had the nerve again to say, you probably called the Fairfax office. So, I called the number in front of her and stood there watching the phone ring until a tech answered. If you purchase a used car here, please do yourself a favor and get it checked out, we are in the hole by $900 for new tires, alignment and the repair to the brake light and indicator light. Ted Britt's team was extremely unprofessional when dealing with my legitimate issues, and for them to totally ignore me during the attempts to get my problems resolved is pathetic.
