When it comes to purchasing a car (new or used) through a dealer, I can't say that I have been completely satisfied until I came to Ted Britt. I may look young but that doesn't mean I should be treated as a child, which is what most dealers do unfortunately. This Ted Britt location is fairly new and located in Chantilly's Auto Park along with many other dealerships fighting for your attention. Ted Britt was courtesy and respectful from the time I called to inquire about a car I was interested in to the time I drove it off the lot. They worked hard for me and went beyond my expectations with my trade in. I am 100% satisfied with my experience and would recommend Ted Britt in Chantilly's Auto Park to any of my friends. Now if you're trying to flex and play "hard" with your negotiating and just plain out be a dick, you may want to go elsewhere. While waiting I did witness a few of these customers and just had to laugh to myself, as the guy played alpha male, raising his voice to the laid back sales guy with his female companion... *salesman walks away* "see that honey, we've got this...". This is a review for the service department. I needed to move away from a certain Ford dealership service dept. in Sterling and Ted Britt was the next closest to me geographically. I am soooo happy that I switched. Aaaaaahhhhh, customer service....YESSSSS!! I called to set up my appointment rather than using the online appointment system since I'm a little old school and prefer to talk to a human being. Setting up the appointment with my issues/concerns was easy-peasy. We made arrangements for me to do an early morning key drop off since I had plans and a ride set up for that day. Later that morning I got a call from Orlando to go over all the items. There was a little negotiation, a little decision making on my part, and then we settled on what would be done and for how much. Orlando wasn't sure if they had all the parts needed, so he would check and call me back. Later, he called to let me know they had to get some parts and my Escape wouldn't be ready that day. Well GET THIS...they offered me a free loaner car!! Holy Happy Dance! I picked up my loaner car that evening and had no interruptions in my normal routine. The folks were so nice and we tracked down my Escape on the lot so I could retrieve my work badge and garage door opener. The next day (Friday), I picked up my Escape and dropped off the loaner. All repairs were made at the price agreed upon. Everything on my invoice was explained when I had a couple of questions on the repair coding. And one of the other service writers and I had a nice relaxing conversation about old Escapes vs. new Escapes vs. Explorers, etc. I believe I have found my new Ford dealership! I continue to have world-class service at this Lincoln facility. They seem to go above and beyond for customer service and make accommodations for complex schedules. I had a several day repair and they gave me a brand new loaner car that was fantastic. When I picked up the car it looked sensational and we were given two complementary Starbucks gift cards and my daughter and I treated ourselves to hot chocolate. Service department is terrible, non responsive to messages left, long delays in scheduling, no status updates, once adviser leaves for day no one knows what is going on with vehicle. Although some people obviously have positive experiences with this dealer's service department I have not. None of the managers will respond to messages, phone or email. I have had only 2 experiences here and both were poor. The first was May 2018 to purchase a used Lincoln MkZ. Before arrival, we called to inquire if the Mk in question was available for show, and at that location. We were told yes and were set to come in. Upon arrival, we were told that the car was out and would be back in 15 min. After inquiring many times over the course of 2 hours, we were told that the car was actually at Fairfax, (30 min away+ rush hour) and that they had sent someone to pick it up, and as we kept inquiring, we were told that it was actually a woman who went to retrieve the car, and because she was a woman, she most likely got lost because woman drivers are stupid and get lost and don't know how to drive. We did not purchase the car. We went to TedBritt Fairfax and purchased a different Lincoln and were treated with absolute respect. The second encounter was to have vehicles serviced at TedBritt Chantilly. Upon arrival, the valet attempted to aggressively shake the driver's door handle as if to jerk the door open and pull my wife out of the car. It was savage animal behavior. Also, we were told that the requested and designated loner was not available and that we were free to take the shuttle that was out at the moment but would return in 15 minutes. 20 minutes pass, no show- We were told that the shuttle was still out, but were previously told that the shuttle only escorts to a 6 mile radius, and that our turn was upon arrival of the shuttle. 40 minutes pass, inquiring again, we were told then that the shuttle was taking other persons and that we would need to wait an additional 15 minutes. Do you see the them here? All time resorts to a 15 minute timeframe that does not represent actual time. After an hour and 45 minutes, we requested a Uber and were picked up within 2 minutes. This dealership's employees and managers have no respect for time of the client and are sexist and women bashers. It is disgusting that a client goes to a dealer, pays a premium rate to be greeted with sub-par service. We will not be using this location again. We have a fleet of 9 vehicles. We know good service when we see it and we know lousy service when we see it. This is terrible service. read more

I also purchased a service plan, financed into my loan, for $1800 that was supposed to cover oil changes, brake, rotor repair, windshield wiper replacement etc. for 72 months or 100000 miles. Well it was a RIP off and misleading! I purchased it to avoid having to pay for unexpected but unavoidable services out of pocket. Well, I took my car in for an oil change and wiper replacement but they said sorry your warranty expired February 5, 2019..... as I mentioned I've only owned if for 3 years and between the prior owner and myself there's only 68000 miles on the car.... well come to find out they're trying to say the warranty back dates to when the original owner purchased the car 6 years ago..... So buyers beware they cheat you out of your valuable time and hard earned money along with not proving you with the service plan you thought you were buying. Consumers, I don't know about you but I certainly would NOT have purchased something, financed into my loan, that I KNEW I would NOT get use out of for the money. For the 6 oil changes I received from them that was a waste of money on my part. And all they could say was sorry that's how things are done..... that's the wrong answer when you are in an industry to sell products to the consumer. But they did try to sell me another car to make up for confusion.... So, buyer especially if you're a GIRL, beware of this dealership they know how to cheat you out of money and avoid providing you a service that you were expecting and you don't know it until it's too late. I even tried calling Ford motor customer service in Dearborn Michigan, they apologized but said they had no control over individual dealerships. My family and I have been life long Ford owners but knowing that no one within the company looks out for the consumer means I will rethink buying another Ford. Went to Ted Britt to look at a vehicle I had seen on line. Like the previous reviewer, I had a great experience with Mike Kennedy as my salesman. Mike went out of his way to make sure we got the deal we wanted and even had the car brought down from Sterling so we could check it out, AND just like the previous reviewer, I spent 5 hours completing my purchase, but that didn't even bother me with the deal I got. The reason I did not give this a 5-star rating is specifically because of my experience with the finance department. The woman I dealt with was less than enthusiastic with the fact that I was financing though my credit union. She made me feel like I was trying to scam her and that I was bothering her with my questions. Even when I returned with the check she still had an attitude and made me feel like I was bothering her. It's a shame that what would have otherwise been a fantastic buying experience was diminished by one individual that needs some classes on customer service. read more

So, after speaking with the dealership about my bad experience, they offered to rectify the situation. They apologized, fixed a minor problem I had with my car and did it all quickly and painlessly and it turns out the finance manager I had doesn't work there anymore and apparently was a "problem". I truly appreciate this dealership stepping up and fixing everything so fast. It was way too stressful and they took care of everything. Went to have my Mercury vehicle examined and to see if the warranty was still in effect since Cherner was no longer in operation. Service = -2 stars Nobody contacted me and it was up to me to constantly try to get someone in the service dept. Took 3 days to get my vehicle "looked at". Communication fail. Work performed = 0 stars. Since I was informed that my vehicle was no longer in warranty (it expired based on time, not mileage) then there was no warranty covered work to be performed. Knowledge = -4 stars. The service rep then informs me that my brakes and rotors were all shot and that my running board was all one piece and the part was gong to be $1,800, not including labor. I took my vehicle to a trusted mechanic and he pulled the wheels in front of me. The pads and rotors were in like-new condition and the running board was fixed with a $250 part. Overall experience = It gets worse. Since the vehicle was "looked at" the service dept charged my $110 just to look. I did not agree with this, but was understanding. What made me angry was they had the nerve to charge "shop supplies" and "waste disposal" fees on top of the $110 bringing the total well over $120. Outrageous!! Hear me well Ted Britt....I will NEVER use your dealership again. read more

Nicole Perry was to work with. I will give a little context.  I am providing my highest recommendation/compliments to Nicole Perry and the Ted Britt Chantilly location. (Based on the below, I will let you arrive at your own conclusion regarding the Fairfax location.) I purchased a used Ford Explorer from Ted Britt Ford in Fairfax in April. Within a few weeks I noticed a few things - shuddering/knocking with the steering wheel that matched speed and the airbag light would come on at random times and not turn off until I turned the vehicle off. I made an appointment at the Chantilly location since it is right down the road from my work.  Nicole was the first person I worked with and she was professional, courteous and thorough - even got me a loaner for the few days the Explorer was being serviced, despite my service visit being on an hour's notice. She kept me informed as to what the technicians were doing the whole time.   Turns out that the shuddering noise was very worn wheel bearings and the airbag light was a wiring problem. Thankfully both were covered under the warranty I purchased. Most importantly to me though, (and in my opinion this really speaks to the service department there in general), Nicole had the technicians check over the entire vehicle, where they noted some other issues that they went ahead and just fixed (e.g. brake clip installed backwards). That check also uncovered a small leak in the steering system and the team went ahead and fixed that.   Anyway, when it came to warranty issues - Nicole was all over it. I didn't realize that the Fairfax office would be "on the hook" for paying warranty related expenses, but Nicole dealt with it for me even when the Fairfax office had asked me to turn in my loaner, pick up my car, drive it over to Fairfax, and then "talk about the issues."    Bottom line if that I know Nicole and the folks over at Chantilly "do the right thing" and that is why I will be returning to them for future maintenance, planned or unplanned. I finnalllyyyyy decided to say screw it and finance a car. i was so emotional about getting rid of my first truck that i couldn't make a decision. i came back like two days later and finnallly picked one. but he came out to the fairfax location the first time i met with him because they had more focuses for me to look at and drive and compare. the day i went to buy my car at chantilly they made sure to have both cars i had it narrowed down to parked next to each to other for me to compare side by side, and allowed me to test drive both back to back the day before i met with fred in fairfax i went to chantilly to test drive the ford fusion with someone else last min. but they sold it earlier that day so i test drove a different one the guy Michael was super nice!!!!! and explained alot to me but not my boyfriend that wanted to know more about the actual car stuff where i just wanted to know price mileage and the cool bells and whistles. read more

Since my review, our company has purchased a second vehicle from this location. I don't remember the sales person's name, but he did a great job. I think buying a vehicle with cash makes for a smoother transaction. No financing woes. We still deal with Andre Epps for maintenance and repairs. Still have nothing but great things to say about the staff at this location. The day we came to buy the second car, the first vehicle was in need of a routine oil change. Andre got it done in less than an hour while we waited for paperwork on the second car purchase. We were planning just to test drive a 2015 MKZ and Fusion, both hybrids to replace my wife's 2009 Prius. We did that while Naz explained the salient points of the two cars like weight, suspension, handling, fuel economy, etc. Little did we know how well he LISTENED. When we finally sat down to talk it wasn't 15 minutes later he leaves while saying "I think have exactly the car you are looking for." Then he pulls a Fusion SE Hybrid up to the front entrance in exactly our colors minus MyTouch, which we didn't want. He was right. It was perfect. He had to be listening closely to nail it that well. He could have sold us the MKZ, but by listening closely he figured out it wasn't the car for us. Then negotiations began and he explained to us how he could get us the best price, which he clearly did...even on our Prius, which we had planned on selling ourselves! Connie did the same for the protection package; best possible price and it was obvious! On to Matt in finance and all that other stuff they usually try to coerce you to buy. We ended up with the protection and service plan WE wanted and at a VERY fair price. Everyone was very easy to work with and we actually enjoyed the whole process (definitely a first). We couldn't believe we'd bought that Fusion, but we drove away quite happy, and we really love the car. It had been since 1986 that we bought from Ted Britt, a new Ford Tempo. We've bought from and serviced with other Ford dealers since then, but they never treated us the way this dealership does. We're with the right people now. As a side note, we will be servicing the Fusion at the Fairfax location since it is closer for us. On April 26, 2013, I visited the dealership with the idea that I might purchase my dream car, which is the 2013 Mustang Convertible. After I inquired about the car via internet, I was contacted both by phone and email letting me know exactly who would be showing me the car that day. I was immediately greeted when I got there and was very pleasantly surprised with how down to earth everyone was. I am a 31 year girl and was there by myself, so I was concerned that I would not be taken seriously or might be taken advantage of, since my husband was not there. This was not the case at all. Fred Stoner, who showed me the car and took me on the test drive made me feel so comfortable and treated me as if I was his own daughter. I really felt like he was trying to make me the best and most fair deal, once I had decided to purchase the car. I did not feel pressured or badgered like I have in the past when purchasing cars. I also felt like everything was explained to me in a way that I could understand, where as when I bought my last car, I walked out feeling stupid and like I had just been taken for more than just a test drive. I was very stubborn on where I needed my monthly payment to be, and after some negotiating and moving numbers around, Fred and Dario were able to get me where I needed to be. Dario was also not intimidating or impatient as I have experienced in the past. He was very likeable and professional. Once we had agreed on the numbers, it was time for allof the paper work. Let me tell you, the friendliness went on from there, and holy cow, Nina Ross knows her stuff! You could tell she had done this before! During the signing of all the papers she was very personable and able to carry on a nice conversation while still doing her job quite competently. Again, everything was explained very clearly and in a way I understood. Lisa Light, who explained some other things like the recommended Resistal treatments and such was also a delight. She even gave me her cell phone number just in case I had any questions after hours. It was getting close to the time that I had to be back to work, and everyone worked together to get me out of there as soon as possible, but they did not cut any corners by doing that. I really appreciate their respect for my time. Overall, I felt that my experience and the teamwork that I had seen at this dealership was exceptional and far exceeded my expectations. I would definitely not hesitate to encourage others to buy from there. I live about an hour away and will probably still drive there for my services while owning the car, just because I truly felt like part of their family and as if I had known them for years. Fred even called me this morning to make sure I made it home ok and to make sure I had a place to park it in Old Town, since I couldn't make It to city hall in time to get a new parking permit after buying the car. Called 8:15am to follow up on a service I requested and left message. I was told I would get a call soon after. I heard nothing back for an hour and called again. This annoying process was repeated 3 times before I finally heard back from the service rep. When I asked why it took so long, was told because my vehicle work was already done... Umm, not sure that reason makes any sense. Larry who mans the calls is a little unfriendly on the phone as he would always seem to rush me off the phone. Will not be bringing my car back for service. Went to the dealer and pulled the service records on a Expedition EL 2010. Despite no accidents being reported to Carfax (insurance), there is an accident on file with the dealer. It was a complete work order which included sending the vehicle to a body shop for repairs for a full week. I instructed the dealer that it was unethical for them to sell the car telling people it was NOT in an accident. They told me it was my problem and if I didnt like it they would sell it to someone else, they said if it wasnt on the carfax they felt NO obligation to tell the truth!!! WHAT!?!?. I am a three time customer at Ted Britt Ford and was very disappointed to see they have gone this route. I will be forwarding this information to my partners at NHTSB. I wish that was there only infraction. I also showed the sales manager (David Poole) that the tires did not meet VA inspection standards (2/23 of an inch of depth). He literally looked at me and said "Thats your problem, we passed it". I have a few colleagues at the State Trooper office and NHTSB that will be opening an investigation next week on Ted Britt. I even told them I was still willing to buy the car if they adjusted the price to reflect an accident and account for the vehicle's tires being bald. Again, the sales manager (David Poole) looked straight at me and said "Thats YOUR problem, some other buyer wont care if the tires are bald, we passed it!". So far, so good. I bring my fiesta here for service and I haven't had a problem thus far. I've yet to run into a rude person and have always been treated nicely. They do run a bit late, but even in construction mode they have a nice lounge with cable and coffee to keep you occupied. Wow, first time ever buying through a dealer and I am glad I chose Ted Britt. Originally went in looking for a Super Duty, looked at a couple models, and changed my mind a couple days later to a late-model Explorer. First worked with Melissa W. who was very patient with me, not pushy, and happy to help even though she knew I wasn't going to buy that first day. Came back a couple days later to look at Explorers, Melissa was busy, so her sales "partner" Mike Kennedy came out to help me. Great guy, super laid-back, excellent beard. Showed me the 2011 Explorer Limited that I had been looking for. The mileage was a little higher than what I wanted, but I threw out an offer that I never thought they would hit just for the hell of it. They didn't come down quite that low, but they came down several thousand dollars to BELOW trade-in value on the vehicle and roughly $3000 below what KBB and Edmunds were listing as the value. To top it off, they offered to pay off the $3000 remaining lien on my 11 year old Subaru with a dying clutch and check engine light for a reasonable price. Working with Matt in financing was a breeze even though I told him I intended to go through my credit union eventually. They gave me a great rate; so great that I may not even go through my credit union. My only gripe would be the fact that the process took some time. Start-to-finish took 5 hours, only because they were one finance staff member-down that day. By the time we left I felt like everyone in the sales room knew us on a first-name basis, but they never stopped offering us drinks, coffee, or places to sit and hang out until they were ready. Very good buying experience. Our salesman was Whitney Sullivan. We purchased a 2016 Transit 150 in December of 2016 which we found to have a cracked windshield and which they told us would be fixed. About 10 days later they called and told us to bring our van in and they replaced the windshield just like they said they would! This is our 2nd vehicle from Ted Britt and they have the free power train for life warranty as long as you have it serviced there. Had an appointment scheduled this morning at 8:15 am. Dropped my vehicle off at 7:30 am (well ahead of my scheduled time). Had the printout of the TSB (technical service bulletin) so the mechicianics there would have to do minimal work. Just called to find out what the status of my was? Was told there was one other vehicle in front of mine and then they would be pulling my car in to look at it? WTF? I said I had a scheduled apt. The lady said well if I had stayed with the car then it would've gotten done faster. But because I dropped off the vehicle all the other people that stayed with their cars got serviced first. I had the pleasure of leasing a Lincoln from Ted Britt Ford. I started the process needing to do something about a vehicle reluctantly. I had a 10-year SUV that I loved and needed to decide within a week if I was going to spend the money on repairs or trade it in for something else. I was going through separation anxiety, as I did not believe that there was anything on the market that I could enjoy as much as the vehicle I had. When I start my initial shopping for a car, I am not looking for a sales person to spend a lot of time talking about the features of a car. I can and probably already have looked up the key features before showing up at the dealership, so I want a sales person to answer questions I ask rather than talk my ear off. Lila took my queue and politely stepped away why I went through checking out the car. I left that first day without a test drive and telling her that I would purchase either within a week or in about 6 to 12 months. She gave me her card and left. After waking up the next day, I knew I wanted to go back and test-drive the car. Lila was surprised I was back, but took me out for the drive. When I explained all of the things I wanted to test, Lila took me to various places so I could test out the road conditions I wanted to test. Lila was patient, knowledgeable, and not pushy. Two days after the test drive, I emailed Lila the specs for the car I wanted. She found something with all the features I wanted, if not the color, but that was OK. In the end, I negotiated pricing, etc., via email and phone, so that when it was time to go to the dealership, all of the work was done. I have to say, had the MKX not worked out, I had decided that I was buying a car from Lila, regardless. I had visited other dealerships because of the Costco program, but knew that Lila was the person I wanted to work with. The sales process went perfectly; however, the day after delivery I realized there were a few problems with the vehicle. Lila with the aid of Jenny the manager, worked with me to have everything repaired and taken care of with no issues. I am so glad I decided to go to Ted Britt and look at the Lincoln, as this was one of the best experiences I have had with purchasing a car. We purchased a new Ford Explorer this weekend and I'd like to thank the previous Yelp reviewers for helping us towards Ted Britt Chantilly. David Schoembs was our sales agent, along with Joe Fendrich as the sales manager. Both provided us with a positive buying experience. I observed much of the various staff during my two visits to the dealership and all were courteous and knowledgeable. Towards the closure of the purchase, you will be asked if you want to purchase various extended warranty options, which in large measure are pre-paid maintenance for the manufacturer's recommended service schedule. Such additional cost may be a good investment depending on your personal factors and your vehicle maintenance habits, however I would recommend that Ted Britt facilitate a greater amount of information to the customer earlier in the buying process so they can avoid making rushed decisions. More information could be in the form of a review of the actual scheduled maintenance of the vehicle being purchased, and the relative costs of those maintenance actions. We have not yet visited the Service Department. We are happy with the Explorer, but we do have a couple items for initial warranty service. This is a sales review. This is my first experience leasing a car in the greater DC area. I shopped around about a dozen different dealerships to determine the best choice for me. I had planned to go with a Jeep Grand Cherokee as I have a Chrysler discount through a family member. I test drove one at Fair Oaks Chrysler, and also stopped in to Manassas Chrysler, and neither dealership followed up with me, or e-mailed me pricing information as requested, and promised. This led me to test drive the Ford Explorer, which seemed to drive smoother, and feel much more luxurious than the Grand Cherokee. Fred Stoner was the sales associate who I first communicated with through Ted Britt's website. He's the epitome of what an effective car salesman should be. He was patient, and strove to find me the best deal possible. I stopped in a few times to identify which model Explorer and which features I wanted, and also to negotiate. When I was finally ready to lease my car, they transferred the model and color that I wanted from their Fairfax dealership. After lengthy, but pleasant negotiations, Fred, and Sales Manager Lisa were able to get me $1,000 more in trade-in credit on my car than originally offered. Ultimately, I felt that Fred and Lisa were happy to work with me to get the car that I really wanted. I love this car so much, I'm pretty sure that I'll choose to buy it at the end of the lease. When it's time for my wife to get a car, we'll be going to see Fred first. Overall, great experience, highest possible recommendation. read more

Do not bring your car for service to Ted Britt unless you want it back with more problems. I spent $3k to replace my tires and front brakes on my Raptor and got it back with noise and vibration issues along with one side of my truck being lower than the other. They guaranteed me that it's not due to their workmanship and the issues are normal wear and tear. These problems never existed prior to dropping off my truck and the new problems are in the same area they performed work on, so I don't buy the wear and tear rationale. On top of the horrible workmanship, I had a horrible experience with their customer service which based on other reviews here, that's at least something they can GUARANTEE! When I brought the truck back in with the new problems I had to wait over 2 hours for the advisor to come tell me it was nothing they did and then I was provided an estimate to replace my shocks. Prior to this, I wasn't even offered a loaner and when I asked for one the advisor on the phone acted sarcastic and told me I can get one if I waited a week. It took me to force the service director to take my truck for a drive in order to acknowledge the noise and vibration issue. None of their technicians took the truck out to diagnose the noise issue while they had me wait over 2 hrs and I can guarantee they probably did not take my truck out for a test drive after replacing all my tires and front brakes. However they will guarantee that their technicians did everything right. The nightmare did not stop there. After the service director acknowledged the noise and vibration issue, they told me they'll get to the bottom of it and sent me off with a loaner. This was on a Friday morning...did not hear any updates on Fri or Sat. I finally called on Sunday (they are open on Sundays) and left a message but received no call back. Called again on Monday and was put on hold for 25min waiting for my advisor...I finally hung up and called again and was told my advisor was no longer available. I asked to speak to any other advisor and was told none of them were available too and then directed to another voicemail. I left a message again and received no call back. From Friday morning to Tuesday, I received no call to give me just any updates on my truck. After filing a complaint to Ford and on the TedBritt website, I finally got a hold of someone. The service director gave me an excuse that he wanted the master tech to look at it and he was sick the last couple days...basically because this is creating no profit for me it's not important and we did not look at your truck until you filed a complaint...is probably the more honest answer. That would've been better than not receiving any call back. Bottom line, as a Marine I guess I have high expectations as far as values and honor which Ted Britt obviously lacks. When I spoke to the General Sales Manager when I finally decided to just pick up my truck, I told him he not only lost one customer but potential future customers because I will make sure to spread the word to all other Marines and military members who serve in the Northern Capitol Region area. The GM seemed to not care one bit and at that point just seemed bothered...this is how they treat members of the military so if you're in the military STAY AWAY! I've been a loyal Ford customer and chose to drive 45min instead of going to the local service place around where I live. After this experience, I am no longer a Ford customer and will make every effort to ensure at least the military members do not do business with Ted Britt. read more

I brought my 3 year old vehicle in for a coolant leak, which turned out to be a failing water pump. The car was dropped off without an appointment (obviously) Friday at 9am. Sunday evening I happened by the dealer on my way home and saw the vehicle inside, on a lift. The following Monday I called to follow up on my vehicle and was told the new water pump had just arrived that morning, but the technician was off, so the new part would be installed Tuesday and would be ready by close of business. Tuesday evening I didn't receive a call, so I followed up and discovered that now the part had only arrived Tuesday afternoon, and wouldn't be ready. I requested a call back from the service manager, who explained instead that water pumps can take 15-20 hours to replace, and I should be patient. The following morning, Wednesday, I received a call at 10am to let me know that the pump was now installed and my car was ready. When I arrived at the dealership to take possession of my car the service manager pulled me into his office, explained that the error was on his part; he had confused two vehicles, hence the incorrect date. With that and three $5 Starbucks cards (although I would point out that I stressed I do not drink coffee), I headed home with a repaired vehicle. Upon pulling into my driveway I learned that one of the lug nuts removed to service my car had not been installed; instead it was in my cupholder. In their defense, it was a locking lug nut, but they were able to remove it, and if they had called me I would have told them where the key for it was located. Instead they sent the owner home with a wheel not properly mounted and neglected to tell me. But the real issue was the damage caused to my car. For my repair they had to remove the intake from the engine, essentially the top half, and in the process broke a number of plastic electrical connectors that provide electricity to the spark plugs. I found them attached to the broken pieces with zip ties. When I contacted the service manager, he said that the parts were prone to breaking, and that he would have no issue with them being held together by a zip tie on his own vehicle. Which is not the point; the point is to return the vehicle to the owner in the same condition, or better, than it was when it was dropped off... read more
