I would give this dealership no stars if that was a choice. Made an appointment for an oil change, tire rotation and state inspection a week in advance. Get there they don't have the parts for the oil change. They had to go get the parts from the another Ted Britt. They should've checked to make sure the parts were there before we arrived. Appointment was at 10 took them till 3 o'clock to do an oil change, tire rotation and state inspection. To keep your warranty you have to go to the Ted Britt to have the oil changed. It took me 3 phone calls over a week to actually get someone to set up an appointment after leaving messages. I needed a recall and oil change done on my car. The rep told me they would have to order the part but it should arrive by Friday so we set up the appointment for Friday. I call Thursday to make sure they had the part and was told the part was available. After dropping the car off at night, I got a call stating the car was done but they had to order the part for the recall. Now I have to take my car back a second time get the recall done. No one seems to care about the inconvenience or the amount of time I will have to spend to get the recall done. I judge a dealership by their service department. I received a emissions notice from Roush and for the last (4) months I have been contacting this dealership to schedule the recall. After several email without any reply I called Angel as she assisted me with a front end alignment (While I witnessed employees yell and scream at each other (management was present) they scratched one of my rims so bad that I asked for a replacement wich after several phone calls and emails they agreed to replace) she told me that I had to pay $190.00 (Wrong it's a recall) she wanted proof of recall so i emailed it and never heard back from her. I contacted Tom via email several times without any reply. I called him and he said he had to to the mechanic and later told me that they basically had never done one and to bring it in and they would figure it out. I live 26 miles away and told him I could not leave it. The process only takes two hours. I contacted Roush and told them what happened (twice) the first time they told me to see Tom the second time I never received a reply. I even called the sole owner of the dealership by phone (Gardner Britt Jr.) But no reply was received. Very last Roush/Ford that I will ever purchase. If it doesnt pass inspection it will go to court. This was the worst service that I have ever received from any dealership. read more

They had my car for over 3 months trying to figure out why my car couldn't shift into 2nd gear. Thankfully it was under power train warranty, but they still had to replace the trnsmission and engine to fix the problem. Which meant they had no clue. During this whole process, I had to call weekly for updates, sometimes having to leave messages for a call back and not getting them until the following week. Terrible customer service. I also tried to trade in said car for another car on the lot, reserved that car for a test drive only to find out that the GM for Used Cars sent that car to a sister dealership for minor repairs when I came in for my appointment. Now they're trying to charge me a fee for a supposed EZPass violation, which is ridiculous after everything they've fumbled with my car. If they offer to do your state inspection take a hard pass! They failed me on window tinting that they passed two years ago. This isn't even a dark tint but dots that go around the outside of the windshield to help melt snow. Review for the service department/ (5 stars for cashiers!): Summary: I was quoted $2600. Quote changed to $3400 after I dropped off the vehicle. Then individual I was working with stopped communicating with me altogether. Ended up paying $3500. I worked with Terry in the service department. Called to get a quote to replace a bad electronic power steering rack. Was quoted $2,700. After calling a few other dealerships and getting higher quotes, I decided to go with these guys. Terry calls me the day after I drop my vehicle off and now quotes me $3,400 and "confirms $3,400" after talking with his team despite my pointing out he had quoted me $700 less just a few days prior. Since I'd already called all dealers in a 30 mile radius and received higher quotes, I decided to go ahead. That second quote call came at 5:15 pm so most dealerships were closed/closing and couldn't be reached. The following morning I expanded my radius and called Woodbridge Ford and got the following quote: $1575 for the part plus $165 for emergency order freight = $1740 for parts. $827.74 for labor (including the required $150 alignment for this repair) Grand total - $2,567.74 I called Terry but he informed me his team had already started work but insisted that "he would try his best to get that price down for me after the repairs were done." That was the last time I heard from Terry. Gentleman called Art called me on Thursday on Terry's behalf to let me know the car was ready for pick up. I went on Friday and my total came to $3,573.15. I informed the cashier that Terry (who wasn't in that day either) said he'd do his best to get me a discount. He hadn't done that so the cashier went out of her way to get me $50 off the alignment (best she could do and I appreciated the effort after the lack of customer service I'd had up to that point with Terry). Ended up paying $3,523.15. From my receipt: - $99.95 for the alignment (thanks for the discount cashiers!) - $61.96 in misc fees - $1850 for parts - $1499.95 for labor (NOT including the alignment)!!!! (vs. 827.74 for the Woodbridge Ford with the alignment) Unless you believe the Ted Britt of Chantilly has mechanics that are worth paying twice as much for the same quality work, I highly recommend you shop around at other dealerships/mechanics for your repairs. read more

I purchased a used car here and during the negotiations, the sales person had thrown in an maintenance package, however now that I'm going back to get maintenance work done(i.e. oil change and tire rotation) they charged me $140..... talked to the sales person and they said they don't remember the deal therefore they are not honoring the deal since they didn't file the paperwork. I spoke to Samantha and ask to speak to the GM about my experience, however no one has reached out to me. Don't purchase or even service your car here. I bought a brand new 2016 Ford GT Premium and 1.5 years and 35k miles in, the paint was already bubbling up on the hood because it was improperly sealed from the factory (the service person admitted this was a known issue with other models like the Explorer at the time, and thought it would be covered). I took my Lincoln Black Label 2019 Navigator in for a service recall repair. When I got my car delivered back and drove it for the first time it began to smoke and the check engine light came on. I had it towed back to the dealer and they told me "these things happen". My car was in the service dept for a week. When I got it back the second time I drove it and it was smoking with check engine on AGAIN! So I had it towed back. While my car was there I received no follow up call, no information on what happened to my car. I even left 3 messages and an email with Freddy Rodriguez. He never returned my call or emails. Instead I just got a text informing me my car would be delivered back to my house. You can imagine how upset and angry you would feel if you take your car In for recall repair only to have it smoking twice with a whole new problem. By the way, this is a 2019 Lincoln Navigator that was bought & only serviced at this dealer. I still have no idea what was wrong with my car or what they did to fix it. I give them an F for customer service. Update***** 8am 11/9/2021 Update! I just finally got a call from Brian the service manager after he saw one of my reviews this morning. Brian told me that "if I am gonna bash them and leave bad reviews that he will make notes in my file that I cannot have my car serviced there". So it took a bad review but a very truthful review to get a phone call from Ted Britt only to be told I can't bring my car back there to get serviced. What bullies! I would never recommend this dealership to anyone! It used to be a great dealership. From sales to service, top notch! My father bought cars from them in the 80's and 90's. I bought my first brand new Ford F150 from them in 2008. Service was so good, I bought a 2009 Flex, 2010 Edge, and a 2010 Ford 250. I kept those cars for a while and moved to GMC and didn't buy from TB until recently this past February. It was a 2018 Lincoln Navigator. My first used car in a while. 52k (104k MSRP when new). It was in great condition! Pristinely beautiful in every way not a scratch on it and the interior was mint. It only had 40k miles on it. I bought gap and the extended warranty. I was so happy until I started having issues with it the very same day I brought it home. Bu to figures well, at least I bought the warranty. From all wheel drive, transmission, and electrical issues. TB became, at a speeding rate, worthless. I have to say sales seems to be always okay. They want that sale! I don't even know where to start with their service department. They kept my car for months at a time. Never fix my issues. Clean out some things, through some band-aides on it. But it would always start right back up within a couple of days. I had so many issues I had with it. It was in the shop more than it was in my driveway. Its my fault though, I should known better when I saw in the carfax it had replaced a transmission 2 times and it also had 2 owners before me. Every time I would bring it in for service. Scheduled service mind you, TB would keep it for a month. They could never really find issues and give it back to me. The car would literally shut off on me at a stop light, transmission would grind and shift hard and the AWD would wind. Loved it! It left me broken down on the highway once. Ugh Lincoln wouldn't cover my rental to get home. Yep! The problem I have with Tb isn't the Lincoln. It was when the Lincoln was in service. I would never receive return calls or emails. I escalated to Michael Britt who also wouldn't return my calls. I had to physically drive to them to get an update! Even after I got rid of the car and asked for the warranty and gap refund back. At first they were very responsive but then ghosted me like before when asking for an update. A simple response is all that is needed. I finally get a return call from the " Director of Finance". After a weeks worth of calls and e-mails. I finally got a call back. It isn't that hard. This is normal customer service. You call your customers back. Oh, did I say I have had to physically go up there after a weeks worth of failed attempts to retrieve info over the phone. They have by far the worst Customer Service I have ever seen. The only reason the car even got taken here was for a warranty oil change and inspection; walked out with an oil change fs, generic ass oil they get for a few bucks, and no inspection. I am reducing the review to a 1-star due to how I've been handled after sale. I am not taking away any of the facts as to how the customer service was leading up to the purchase. On April 30th 2020, we purchased a used 2018 Certified Pre Owned Lincoln Navigator with 33k miles, less than 30 days ago. Upon taking ownership of the vehicle we were missing a tow hitch cover and the inside center console is filthy. Passenger side kick plate area isn't completely bolted and hanging. We look past it since we had our 3 young children with us, it was past 10:30PM, and we needed to get home. Hassan mentions he would have a tow hitch cover to us ASAP. On May 6th we attempt to open our sunroof and it doesn't open. We also make an attempt to close the sunroof shade but it only closes halfway. I proceed to reach out to both Hassan and Henry about the issue. I find out that there's no immediate availability in service and would have to wait until at least the 17th. Knowing that we have a trip down to GA on the 14th, Hassan comes to pick the vehicle up and bring it into service to see if the issue can be quickly repaired. He finds out the issue will be a lengthy repair and that the service department had to order some parts. Service is now scheduled for May 24th. I get the vehicle back with the tow hitch cover and the passenger kick plate area buttoned up. Exterior is washed, Center console area still filthy. While on the trip and in the vehicle we start to run into the following issues: -Driver and Passenger side ventilated seats mechanically engage as the fans can be heard, but the seats aren't cooling. -Using the Recirculating air function fails, as every outdoor odor during our trip wafts throughout the inside of the vehicle -Since I can only retract the sunroof shade about halfway, our 7 month old is getting lit up by the sun on our 8 hour trip. This morning (May 24th) I receive a call from our service tech explaining that our vehicle is scheduled to be picked up, but he was confused as the notes mentioned a Lincoln Navigator would be provided as a service loaner. I told him that the notes are correct as I was promised a Navigator would be given as a comparable loaner. He proceeds to tell me that he only has an Explorer or an Aviator. I tell him, to reach out to his managers as, I don't have access to their systems to put that kind of information in the ticket. I get a call from Hassan saying that the only service loaners available are either Explorer's or Aviators and that even if Gardner Britt were to drop off his vehicle, he would get either one of those vehicles. This comment sets me off, as I could care less. I was promised a Navigator, notes were placed onto the ticket, and yet this dealership failed to follow through. I tell Hassan that, in my experience of purchasing used vehicles, this has been one of the worst purchases to date. He down plays the issue and claims that the sunroof is manmade and that the dealership has "bent over backwards" on this issue. Let's review the facts and see where this dealership bent over backwards on the purchase of this $60k plus CPO vehicle: Cons on purchase and ownership - Paid full dealership asking price on vehicle, attempted to negotiate but received not even a dollar off. -Obviously delivery of vehicle was given in subpar conditions -Filthy Interior -Hanging passenger kick plate -Missing Tow hitch cover -Chip in the windshield - Issues we came across in less than 20 days of ownership of this "CPO": -Broken Sunroof and Broken Sunshade -Ventilated seats that mechanically function but don't seem to cool - Inside Air recirculation fails - Promised a comparable Navigator as a loaner during this multi day service. Instead was given an Explorer and was basically told to deal with it. Here again a little over a week later. I had an appointment for Saturday but was unable to make it so I rescheduled for today, 9Apr. I arrived and pulled into the garage and it is really unclear whether you're to wait in your vehicle for someone to come to you or if you should enter the lobby and speak to someone. It's the latter, this go around Michael helped me essentially check in. I was told when I made my appointment Thursday that there was a recall on my vehicle but he told me otherwise. I had also been getting an alert that my brake light (s) were out. I had changed one on my own which without the proper tools is extremely hard but apparently two others were out. So they alledge that two other were out but I feel as though they may have been sabotaged and I brought that to their attention but could just be a coincidence. They were helpful nonetheless. I went to the restroom this time and they're really clean! The stall was pretty spacious and I note that because I've been in stalls I couldn't even turn around in. I also say in a bit of a quiet room this time, may be for run-over customers but it was just to the left or across from the main seating area. My receipt also stated they performed a complimentary car wash... They didn't. read more

Before I start, my experience is only with the parts department. Although I did not buy my Ford vehicle from here (which after reading these reviews I'm glad I didn't) I did need a part that the original seller left out. I met with a very nice man (Bald guy, can't remember his name) behind the counter at the parts department. I found and purchased my part through him and my original experience was wonderful... here's where it all goes wrong. My girlfriend tried to pick up my part from the service desk and she was greeted by a woman who really should not work in customer service. When my girlfriend explained the situation to her she returned with "well I can't help you" with copious amounts of attitude. When she relayed this message to me I was obviously angry and decided to go to the parts desk myself. Upon arrival this woman was the first person I interacted with. I calmly stated I was here to pick up a part that I had previously ordered and she threw her arms up in the air and said "well which part" and gave me a disgusted look. As if my question was a large inconvenience to her. My part has still yet to come in 2 weeks later. It is a very common and cheap part, it should not be taking this long to come in. Truthfully I hope when I go to pick up my part, she is there. I have some choice words I will be sharing with her. If the dealership was to reach out to me, I'd be happy to outline these interactions and go into further detail about my experience. I've never worked so hard to be loyal to a place that in turn has worked so hard to make me go elsewhere! Bought my car here and always returned for service and repairs due to the "For Life" guarantee. I've had service here over 14 times, but the last two visits is what finally did me in. Four months ago I scheduled my appointment for a 50k service and dropped my car off. I picket it up the next day and saw they did an oil change. When I asked about the 50k service they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about and said that was what I ordered. Showed them the appointment confirmation on my phone and then they said it was "miscommunication". Offered to keep my car for another day to complete, but since an oil change is part of the service and they would not discount (even for their mistake!), I declined. Went back a month ago for warranty work. Confirmed my part was in and dropped it off the night before. Went to pick it up the next evening and was told my part was installed the previous day on another customers car (remember I confirmed my part was in!) and they should have another part in next week for me. I took my car to another dealership who had it done the next day. I'm not sure what happened to the service department over the past year, but it is a mess. Not sure if there are new managers leading the department or if they just decided there is enough business that they no longer have to work for it, but I will not be going back for either repairs or for purchase of my next vehicle. I haven't even mentioned their high prices (search my Yelp reviews for a great auto repair review), but I finally wised up to know I can do better. I recently bought a new 2014 Ford F-150 FX4 4x4 truck from Ted Britt Ford. I worked with Michael Asay as my sales person. I went on four different test drives with Michael in my quest to narrow down my choice. I originally had planned on special ordering the vehicle I wanted - but I found one in stock that was close enough to what I wanted in terms of the whole package. My only qualm with the place is some times it gets a little to busy - the staff are overwhelmed with paperwork - there were several times where Michael Asay had to wait his turn with a number of other sales folks getting their issues addressed. Ted Britt Ford Chantilly push off warranty work on vehicles and scam customers with unnecessary estimates for repair. Brought in Certified Pre Owned vehicle which is only 7 months old and I was told even before handing keys over to the advisor that my vehicle could have had frontal impact which is why adaptive cruise control is malfunctioning and sure did after 2 hours they called me back with same false claim and gave me $2500 estimate. When I refused to go with repairs, charged me $143 for diagnosis and $3 for data storage fee. I paid and took my vehicle to another Ford Dealership in the area couple days later and they rightfully diagnosed the adaptive cruise control issue and found no damage to vehicle (documented). Everything in the car is in mint condition, no frontal impact ever. Second FORD dealership (non- Ted Britt chain) fixed the problem under warranty with no charge to me. Then took the vehicle to third dealership and they also concluded that my car has no frontal impact ever. Ted Britt Chantilly is scamming American people during COVID Crisis to fend off warranty work and charge them unnecessary fees. Very disappointed with Ted Britt Chantilly, shame on you as in these difficult times when our country needs to be coming together, you are scamming and looting poor American people. I have always been FORD fan and have 3 other cars with them. But now I am beginning to reconsider my choice due to poor dealership service. Another case of highway robbery...I took my car in for my semi-annual service (I pre-purchased a maintenance pkg during its purchase) and asked Mike to look at my front tire because it has been slowly leaking nitrogen for 4-5 months. He offered to look at it and determine if there was a leak. I previously looked and couldn't find any nails. Anyway, I got a call telling me my car was ready for pickup and he informed me there was a nail in which they were able to easily plug. To my surprise, I had a bill for $67.50 for the tire plug! $49.95 for the tire plug and $17+ for environmental fees. Really, $17 to throw a nail away. I would have never authorized them to make the fix if I were asked. The Exxon station down the road charges $20+ tax and Costco $10.99 + tax. Unbelievable. When I asked Mike about it, he simply said $50 is the going rate. I can't wait until my maintenance contract is up at Ted Britt so I can find a reputable service center with reasonable rates and good customer service. Just counting the days... read more

After such poor, horrible, and sexist customer service at AutoNation Honda, I came here. What a vast black and white difference. I was treated with respect and not as if I was a dumb blonde woman. Robin let me tell the quick story of what happened to my car and he explained the why of everything. I like understanding the why and possible outcomes and that's exactly what he did. Every person I interacted with was extremely professional and unlike AutoNation did not dismiss me or tell me to go somewhere else. They diagnosed and fixed my car. Now I feel secure in that I can reliably get to work tomorrow. Thank you to the service department! When I pay off this car, I look forward to buying a Lincoln here! read more

I was very disappointed with the customer service here. I made an appointment to have a recall issue addressed. Upon doing so, I was told they needed to order the part to fix the problem. After being informed the part was in, I dropped my vehicle off first thing in the morning. The end of the day was approaching and hadn't heard from anyone. I proceeded to make 2 phone calls that were never returned. The next day I called first thing and left another voicemail for my service manager. Later, I still had not heard back so I called again and was told that person was not in today. I was then transferred to their supervisor, again leaving a message. After leaving 3 more messages and throughout the day, with no return phone call, the end of the day was approaching so I went to the service department. Upon doing so, they told me that that the vehicle still wasn't fixed. Lack of service and an extreme lack of communication. read more

The service team is all i dealt with and they are amazing. I took my vehicle to 4 different dealership across the country to see if they could resolve the transmission glitch my car has had since new and no one was able to diagnose what the real problem is. 2 years and 30k miles later, Ted Britt's team was able to complete fix the issue and my car fees brand new again. These guys are awesome. I've bought two fords from them so far and it's always been a great experience, but their service department is even better. Needed an oil change/service and their email alerts and electronic integration is amazing. No need to push paper around and I'll probably be able to save my invoices this way. They also reminded me that my safety inspection was due! Not to mention the cleanliness of the dealership, which is so ever important these days. read more
