I had already written a one-star rating for this place but I'm adding this because things got worse. This rating would have negative stars. Quite simply, it got worse. 1) After I complained, the service manager, Brian Kearny, admitted to me IN WRITING that they violated their own policies in recommending service that was not needed. In particular, they told me I needed an air filter when I had just had the filter replaced. Mr. Kearny wrote to me: "I have spoke to the Tech who worked on your vehicle about recommendations and how they should be explained. He went off the mileage on your routine maintenance instead of looking at the filter. I am sorry that is not how we are suppose to make recommendations." They also recommended a lot of services such as fuel injection cleaning that most experts/guides do not suggest doing ever. 2) Ten days after my car left the shop, it suffered a catastrophic failure due to a blown gasket. Because the repairs cost more than the car's value, I disposed of it. (I had it inspected by a non Ted-Britt shop.) While suggesting things that I did not need, in short, Ted Britt missed the fact that the car was about to break down entirely. This shop, which once provided pretty good service, is now sketchy and unprofessional. Despite a good experience with two Lincolns, I did not buy another one in large part because I'm afraid that having another Lincoln would mean giving business to Ted Britt in the future. read more

Beware. Unethical Sales Practices: Not adhering to estimate provided, lied that VIN no longer available, price gouging based on chip shortage and not adhering to Corporate Incentive Offers. Received a quote from Mahlik on a VIN including Tax, Tag and Title via text. The vehicle was located in Baltimore, MD and would require a swap. When we went back, we were told that the vehicle was no longer available and Ted Britt couldn't honor the offer. Fast forward, began texting with Alia at Ted Britt indicating that with the "chip shortage" there is a $2,500 fee and "no discounts and all vehicles are over MSRP." She went on to state that "this is among all car brands"; however, I found the VIN'd vehicle that Mahlik quoted still available at Bob Davidson Lincoln. Of course, Bob Davidson Lincoln wouldn't owner the documented price from Mahlik, but Bob Davidson Lincoln didn't attempt to price gouge me by charging me extra for a chip shortage and they did honor the Lincoln Incentives that Ted Britt wouldn't honor. I contacted Lincoln Corporate and BBB. Ted Britt should be held accountable for their unethical business practices. Their approach is the same as if a gas station raised prices to an extreme amount during a shortage, with no reason. There are other options to buy a vehicle from. We went to Ted Britt of Chantilly to buy my partner's dream car and Leonia Durant was incredible. She was responsive to our messages and met us there at a time I doubt could've been convenient to her. She also gave us really honest advice in terms of loans, how much money to put down, etc. It was very clear that she has a lot of experience and we felt that we could trust her. She made the process both personal and less stress-inducing. At any other dealerships I've never felt like I could trust someone that worked there but I felt like she asked questions, listened to us, and was genuinely interested in our goals and finances. We are trying to build credit and she educated us on how we can move through this process doing so. Personally, I've never had a good experience at any other dealership but I felt like Leonia was the real deal. When I'm buying my next car I'll honestly do it here- she's a gem. I bought an overpriced edge, people and business always find a reason to justify raising prices, that was my case: I was told that a lot of money have been invested in making sure that the suv was good to be sold, well, without even looking I found that the engine oil was needing a quart, the brake fluid reservoir was bone dry, the antifreeze was low, the air filter was half way, again without even looking I found that the rear view camera was not working, I accepted the unit as is, my fault I did not pay attention to that, perhaps whomever reads my posting wont make that mistake. So as an excruciating "favor", The accepted to look at the rear view camera, I had anticipated the answer and I was right, "they could not find anything wrong with it ", when I left the dealership I tested the camera and failed immediately, again I was expecting that they would not do anything for me, they already got the sale. So, when I spoke to the sales manager Henry, I asked: "you told me you have put a lot of money on this vehicle prior to selling it, can you tell me what did you do to it so I wont doing again? Did you replace the spark plugs? No, air filter? No. Oil change? No., so besides taking the suv on trade you did not do anything to it? Right, supposedly just a general inspection which obviously did not yield anything and the state inspection that they conveniently do at the dealership so the vehicle conforms even with the small crack on the windshield. The saleswoman was very nasty, they moved the truck to the front of the dealership for me to pick it up, they left the trash in the rear seat, not much, just it should not have been there. All and all this dealership is like all the others, before you sign you are important, after you sign you are just an inconvenience, if you can get it in writing that they will make all the corrections before you sign, or get them done before you do, just a thought. Giddy up I was almost forgetting, perhaps someone should check if the repair reports are accurate, when they supposedly checked the rear view camera, which obviously they did not, the "report" of what was done came padded with things that did not happen, like electrical service, nitro something, etc, so if the repair shop charges back the dealership someone is making extra money and of course they are looking much busier than they probably are. read more

Not only did we used to own two Fords but I also talked my father and father in law into purchasing Fords. After my experience here I'm done buying Fords so is my family. My wife and I purchased a Focus brand new and had it serviced here at Ted Britt. We had the typical transmission issues you read about in the news now. We had the car serviced a few times and right up until we had massive problems they took care of us. Then they showed us the door. I've never experienced such a complete lack of empathy and compassion that the service adviser treated my wife with. He actually said, "We can't just fix cars for free, we're a business." and he said it with quite an attitude. Well buddy, your company put out a transmission that they KNEW was faulty and no less then a week after we were put away by both the service adviser AND the service manager AND ford customer service I find out that Ford put out a memo advising dealers to fix the faulty transmissions. I sold the car for a massive loss due to the transmission not working when I had to sell it and I will advise anyone I know how I was treated by both this dealership, the service manager and Ford's customer service line. read more

After general maintenance they failed to connect some valves on my tires .... spent $600 because that particular service was not covered () driving down route 50 I heard and awful noise ...thought it was another car... it was me! Had to turn around and go back. Funny they were closing so I was able to get the loaner car I had originally . They gave me $100 towards my next service .... which tell me they want to keep sucking money out of me . Customer service here has been awful since we purchased the vehicle brand new in 2014. The worst dealership I've ever had my car serviced at. First of all, they gouge you. That's to be expected more or less. But on top of that, the employees could not give a flying f***. That's the worst part. I have two car seats to uninstall and reinstall in another car every time I get my vehicle serviced. It's a pain. My husband is leaving in 10 days for military service and wanted to get this taken care of for me. So I was pretty upset when I brought my vehicle in for a recall service, get my car back, reinstall the car seats only to find that the repair was faulty and I had to bring it back in. Bringing it in the first place was bad enough. The employees are snarky and flippant. My husband was very upset and was escalated to someone (shout out to Freddy) that could handle the "upset customer" situation. Freddy had my car be picked up for the second repeat service, which made it a little better until I went with my husband to pick up my car and while waiting for them to pull it around, the douche bag at the counter with his spiked blonde hair gets on his cell, calls Freddy and says "It's the wife." I'm sorry, I'm an individual, and at present time I am an upset individual. So this comment was particularly patronizing. I hope I don't get another email asking me "how was your service" because honest to God they don't want to hear what I have to say and even if they did, no one would care. Never again. read more

He knows what he is doing and is very low key. He knew upfront that I was just looking to test drive and that I had done my homework. I wasn't going to purchase that day and he knew why, but also knew that I would be back if I got good service. We went out to the lot and found a Lincoln MKZ Hybrid to test. I had a researched a specific model with specific features, but for all intensive just wanted to make sure I had driven and throughly reviewed this car. This was the first time I had test driven an American car in many years. I enjoyed the ride and the car itself. It was incredibly smooth and I loved every minute of it. This is truly a luxurious car that I will enjoy, should it be the vehicle I buy. I loved hearing about the extras that Ted Britt provides for Lincoln owners and that just adds to the sweetness of this dealership and that they truly stand behind the vehicles they sell. I called today to get on the wait list for this massive airbag recall going around, and the girl that answered the phone blew my mind. She proceeded to tell me that I would have to call them every week or once a month in hopes of getting service for this recall. Now mind you, I have had a few cars in my day and dealt with plenty of recalls. Never have I ever been told this and nor do I even understand how a business can operate like this. Dealerships have always put you on a list and when it's your turn and parts come in then they schedule you for service. Ted Britt, your sales team got you a grade of 1 out of 5 stars today, and only because a one star is required to post a review. I want to thank you (or rather your sales team) for saving me $26K today, and ultimately, more like $33-35K that I would have spent on the F-150. I was really hoping that during this year of COVID, and the NEED to complete as much work as possible from home, over the internet, and in doing so, that once a price is defined, it would not change, and especially by 25%, specifically from $26K to $33.5K. I expect some "additional unforeseen charges" would "creep up". But I have the text from the sales men with the price that was agreed upon. I had every intention of purchasing the new White Fusion Hybrid with the dead battery, that told an hour (ok, 45 minutes) to start, until I drove the 2019 F-150 (the highlight of my day by the way). All your staff had to do was not try to scam me out of almost $7K on the Fusion, and take a reasonable offer on either the 2018 or 2019 F150 Sport. Instead, they played the "I was dealing with a different manager yesterday", and "Oh, they worked the numbers from the internet price" even after I showed you out text messages from the day before. And I always love the every popular "I just found out about this, and want to help, and make you happy" from todays manager. I was so happy to hear you would sell me the Fusion for $26K, as I am walking out the door after you expected to pay an extra $7000, but at that point I really wanted, and told the "salesman", that I was more interested in either of the F-15. And you have 2 that have sat on the lot long enough to have rusty breaks to the point they grabbed the first few times. But if you want another shot at selling me a vehicle, I am offer 33K for the 2018 or 33.5K for the 2019 F-150. And that is the total price, even with your $1500 delivery fee and $800 processing fees, taxes, tags for the state of Maryland. Question about those by the way, since they are "required". Why is there a delivery fee on a ford product being delivered to a ford dealer ship or a traded vehicle? Where is the delivery? I mean, I am the one who drove 60 miles to the dealership to pick up the vehicle. And the $800 processing fee is not required. It is required for you to tell me that is a state requirement of the dealership to inform me that is "not a required fee", and really just an extra $2K+ you charge people who don't question those "up charges", or you guys call them "tack ons", or "idiot taxes" . I have purchased 4 fleet vehicles through Ted Britt over the last 8 years. I would be lying if I said the customer service has always been perfect. In this case I bought a 2015 Ford F550 for our landscape company from Herman Pareja in 2016. The motor locked up about 2 months ago with 35,000 miles on it. I called Herman and he got to work right away helping me to get the truck in for the inspection and tear down of the motor. Much to my relief the entire $11,000 engine was covered under warranty and finally finished up today. Today was a good day! read more

This review is for the service department. I bought a new vehicle at this location last August (great experience). I even purchased the service and warranty plans with it thinking it would be so easy just to bring my car here. I called July 24 requesting an appointment for routine maintenance and inspection. I was told I would have to wait until August but I could bring it on a first come first serve for the inspection and bring it back a few weeks later for maintenance. No thanks. I called the Ted Britt Quick Lane who was able to see me the next morning. I decided to give Chantilly another try today. I received a Safety Recall Notice on my vehicle yesterday in the mail. Since I use the vehicle to drive my 6 month old baby, I had a sense of urgency to call to make an appointment. This location could not see me for another week. Ok.... I can live with that. I let them know I will take anytime in the afternoon. To which I was told "we don't make any appointments after 10am". How can this be.... any working professional would never be able to bring their car in. I then asked if this is true for the Quick Lane and Fairfax locations to which I was told, they can't help you either. I then told her "I guess I need to call another dealership then" to which she replied "ok, have a nice day". Ok?! Wow! I was so upset. I thought to myself, I buy a service plan in advance and now they can't even help me for a safety recall. After I hung up and took a breath, I decided to call the Ted Britt Quick Lane even though the Chantilly location told me they couldn't help me. They were wonderful and are able to see me tomorrow! Let me start off by saying that I thoroughly enjoyed my car buying experience when I purchased a Lincoln Navigator last year from Ted Britt in Chantilly. I bought it fully loaded with additional upgrades, extended the warranty, and bought a service plan for maintenance. So imagine how disappointing it is when I bring my vehicle in to be serviced and am stuck without a loaner for days, not provided the expected courtesy car wash, and then lied to on the invoice. Let me explain... I brought my Navigator in early last month for Ted Britt service department to have rain guards professionally installed. I paid approximately $400 for labor and servicing. Upon completion, my vehicle WAS NOT given the courtesy car wash... no big deal. However, after a few weeks, all of the rain guards started separating from the vehicle and I notice that 1 of the rain guards was installed at a noticeable angle. So I took the Navigator back in to fix the discrepancy a few weeks later. I ask for a loaner vehicle, but I am told they don't have any for me. They say that they can have me shuttled to the mall or wherever I would like to go while they work on the car, but they are not sure how long it will take. I chose to have my wife drive out to Chantilly and pick me up instead. I wait all day (car was dropped off in the morning) before I eventually call back before closing to ascertain a status update. The service tech informs me that they were keeping the car overnight because they had to order new rain guards. Fine, but now I'm a vehicle down trying to get my wife to work and 4 kids to school. Sure would have appreciated a simple phone call. On Wednesday, I tell my wife to let me know if she hears anything from Ted Britt as I'll leave work early to get her and then get the car. NO CALL ALL DAY LONG. Okay, so now it's been 2 days without so much as a courtesy call. I wait until Thursday before I call again to find out that they received the rain guards, but "They were broken and had to be reorder." Understandable, if true, but why not call the customer so they know what to expect? Nonetheless, seeing as I don't really have much choice, I wait another day. Finally, after having my vehicle for 4 days, I am called to pick up the Navigator. I see it when I arrive and it is...surprise, surprise, not washed. But I expected that because it is NEVER washed. However, you would think that they would be able to get it washed when they have the vehicle sitting for 4 days. I go in to sign the invoice and get my keys, but am baffled by what I read on the third bullet of the invoice. A note that says, "CUSTOMER WAS PROVIDED A LOANER VEHICLE AND A COMPLIMENTARY CAR WASH." I'm disgusted and request that they remove the comment before I sign anything. I'm then asked to speak with the service managers, Frank and John, regarding the matter. They both seem nice and promised me to provide a loaner, car wash, etc... upon my next visit. If Ted Britt can't get it right after the past 3 service appointments, why would I promise any more business to Ted Britt? I wouldn't. If I didn't have my vehicle currently under warranty there, I wouldn't go there. They have disappointed me so many times now with simple customer care and by lack of calling to inform the customer what the issues are and/or what to expect. I bought the top of the line Lincoln vehicle from them and can't get a loaner or a car wash, how do they treat other customers? It's insulting and I have received better service from every other dealership (Honda, Chevrolet, Toyota) that I've ever dealt with. Bottom line, why would anybody want to pay money to be treated like that? Why would I not get a loaner car when they keep my vehicle for 4 days? Especially when it was a direct result of the poor quality servicing I received on a previous visit. I would have rated much lower if I could. I was originally set to meet with Lila on Sunday but found time to drive up to this dealership today instead. Facilities seemed nice and after asking for Lila she came to me and said that since she was already with a customer she'd find someone else to help me. Having already filled out a credit application in their website I had expected that after the appraisal the process would go by quickly. However our salesperson, Mike, took my information and never even showed me the car I was interested in. When asked where the focus were he merely pointed across the dealership and told me and my fiancé that they were "scattered over there." Nearly two hours later I still had not been shown either of the cars I found online no came in to see. My fiancé went to the Hyundai next to the ford and we asked for a side by side comparison. At this point mike started video taping us on his phone and when asked to stop he got hostile and began cursing at us. My fiancé and I demanded to speak with a manager and met resistance from Mike. After wasting two hours and never even been given any opportunity to see the cars I felt it was time to go. Never had an experience like this at any dealership. Won't be going back at all. read more

In 2012 bought two very expensive cars from Ted Britt Ford, a new car and a pickup truck actually, and my buying experience at the time was very good. The salesman was professional and the staff was all very courteous. They took the time to go over all of the details about my new car and a month later I purchased my new Platinum F-150, and again the process was very smooth. So when I wanted to buy a new car I decided to go back to Ted Britt. Big Mistake! I custom ordered the most expensive Mustang GT Premium convertible that Ford makes, that process wasn't too bad and they were reasonably helpful. The salesman wasn't straight with me on the price but I anticipated that. He told me I would get the car for $500.00 over invoice and of course that was not true, I wound up paying much more than that. Finally the salesman called me and said that my new car was in and to come in to pick it up. I did and I brought fifty thousand in cash with me. So I walked in the door and, nothing, no salesman no anyone. I went over to the sales desk and they looked at me like, "what do you want"? I told them who I was and that the convertible sitting outside the door was mine and that I had come to pay for it. Well thirty minutes went by and the salesman said, as he rushed by without stopping, I'll be with you shortly and he quickly walked into another room. About 45 minutes went by and he was still not there. I was sitting right in front of the sales managers desk in full view of the entire staff, including the manager and no one said a word. At that point I became irritated and told the sales manager that if they didn't want my money I would jut take my business somewhere else. His response was simply amazing, he said "if you leave we will keep your five hundred dollar deposit". I was flabbergasted. He didn't offer any sort of apology or ask there was anything they could do for me while I was waiting. He was just incredibly rude. So finally the salesman showed up and tried to smooth things over, he knew I was angry. The transaction took another three hours because they kept trying to sell me stuff I didn't want or need. When they realized I wasn't going to buy the super nuclear poly shield under over coat junk they gave me the bums rush and didn't bother to go over any of the details of my new car. Not the operation of the sync or navigation system, the service department, warranty, or any other dealer services. They acted like I killed their parents for walking in the door with money. I am unfortunately not able to say how I really feel about Ted Britt Ford without using language not appropriate for a public forum like Yelp but I'm sure you get the Idea. There are a lot of Ford dealers in the area so if you live in Northern VA, do yourself a favor and go to a dealer that will at least treat you like a valued customer, Ted Britt has problems with that. read more

The car is a year-old a rear brake pads shouldn't have any problems..... They quoted me $484+to change my brake pads...,,,So I went to the part department bought the brake pads and went to the next mechanic shop to do my inspection and change the brake pads.... To my massive surprise there was nothing wrong with the brake pads it was $15 from inspection and I was on the road ,this dealer is extremely dishonest. I used to go to another dealership in Falls Church for service, but after moving to Centreville, I started to use Ted Britt in Chantilly. I now come here for my oil change every 5,000 miles or so, and I actually enjoy the service waiting area. I think it might be because it's really the sales waiting area, but either way the chairs are comfortable and it's not lit like a hospital. I'm always happy with the service and the wait time. I brought my 2008 Focus in today after hitting a particularly awful pot hole, and for an oil change. Andre Epps was my service advisor, and he went above and beyond to make a what started as a stressful experience a very smooth one. I appreciated the shuttle service as well! I highly, highly recommend this service department. Everyone I interacted with was pleasant and patient. I couldn't be happier. read more

I purchased a pre-owned 2020 Ford Edge Titanium with approximately 6,000 miles in June 2021. Didn't notice that the Instrument Panel Cluster Lens had a couple of scratches on it as they were located towards the bottom of the plastic lens cover. I requested that the lens be replaced (about a $25.00 part) as a good will gesture since I have purchased multiple cars at this dealership in the past but the Used Car Manager, Edres Hafzi, refused as he states that it must be notated at the time of sale. A deflector from under my car fell. I thought it would be something easy and fast to replace. When I got there, it took me a long time to convince them that my car had that. When they finally did and before even looking, one of the managers (I think her name was Jennifer Wainwright) told me that she was almost positive that the warranty doesn't cover that (my car has 9 months) She was kind of rude during the whole process and always very negative and defensive. When they saw my car, she called me to the mechanics area and told me that the warranty cannot cover it, because I must have bumped into something because there was damage under my car. I couldn't believe it, because I haven't bumped into anything and I'm extremely careful with my car. What she showed me was some scratches under the car probably to normal use due to small pieces of stone from the road or gravel. I agreed to pay for the part. It was a Tuesday and they said it would be there in a couple of days. Thomas Ramey was my service advisor. It was Tuesday of next week and no news from them... I called and they couldn't even find my order. When finally they did, they said my part should get there on Friday. After that, no calls again. Actually I couldn't even talk to this person. I called a few times, left messages and he never called me back. I even talked to somebody using the chat system that they have on the web and they said that they would call me back. They never did. Like a week later, I went to the dealership in person wondering if they still plan to get that for me or I should go to a different dealership. Then, oh surprise, the part was there and they gave me an appointment for the following week. No apologies at all... When I finally got there, and they brought the car fixed, I checked and I noticed the deflector was totally loose. I called Thomas Ramey, the most total uninterested person I've dealt with, he looked at that and just said: "The keys?" Again, no apology or anything. I kept waiting outside and after a while I saw he came back to his desk. He didn't even care to talk to me about the problem. Before picking up the car, when I was going to pay, I noticed about a service advisor called Vicki Surface-Rytter, who seemed to be polite and helpful with the customers. I asked her for a card, in case I need to come back there. While I was there waiting outside for the car, without a word from Thomas, she saw me there and asked me if everything was ok. I told her and she decided to check personally with the mechanics. She was really nice. While she went there, one of the mechanics brought my car back. I thanked her before leaving. That was my experience. Just hoping I don't have a more serious problem with my car again... I owned a Volkswagen for more than 10 years and never had anything similar to this. We purchased a new Ford Fusion from this dealership roughly 6 months ago, and could not have had a more positive experience. From the exceptional salesperson, Fred Stoner (whom was recommended to us) to Andre Epps in the service department, I am very pleased with the service that we received. As someone who works in Marketing, I appreciate the value of creating positive customer experiences and encouraging brand loyalty. To start, our salesperson Fred Stoner listened to what we wanted, and at no point did he make us feel pressured and went above and beyond to literally find us the exact car that we wanted, even when we were close to potentially settling for something "close," he continued searching inventory at other locations until he found us the best deal with all of the features / package that we wanted. When I say that he really listened, it was clear that he paid close attention to what we liked and didn't like in the different models we looked at, then applied that to his search to find us exactly that. If you go to this dealership, we highly recommend asking for Fred. When we are in the market for another car soon (an SUV), we are going to see Fred. As someone who always drove foreign made cars, our new car and experience has made me a fan and loyal to Ford. Next, we had a minor issue after requesting that the dealership sticker be removed from our car. As much as I enjoyed our experience, it doesn't mean that I want our new car to be a driving billboard! Unfortunately some paint was removed in the process and Andre Epps, the service manager we worked with, was also exceptional. He was unhappy with what happened and immediately moved to resolve it...including demanding that the paint job be re-done, because he was not 100% pleased with the job that was done the first time. This matters to me; it says that you value your customers, want them to return and approach your product (cars) as you would if it were your own car. Too many people, including the detail techs that removed the sticker - who saw the damage and still tried to return it to me as acceptable - seemed to forget this. I can guarantee if it were their own car, they would have been more careful when removing the sticker. Andre takes this attitude with his customers - treats their car as his own - and I plan to always return our car to him for future maintenance. I've bought and sold quite a few cars over the years and Ted Britt Ford in Chantilly has to be one of the worst experiences I've ever had. Their service department lacks integrity. They make it virtually impossible to make an appointment because their phone system is so poor. And then they don't adhere to their own service agreements when you take your car to get serviced. Not only will I not buy a vehicle from Ted Britt again, but I also will not purchase a Ford because of my experience here. They are not to be trusted. read more

(Updated below on 3/30/13) I use Yelp to research every restaurant and every new store or business that I want to use. Tedd Britt in Chantilly had awesome reviews, so we went there for a new 2013 Ford Escape SUV. We got an awesome deal because my boyfriend has perfect credit. 0% for 5 years. The contract is explicit about this and the finance woman (Nimia) who helped us even told us as we were reviewing the contract "Oh, we don't have to go over this section since you have 0%." Two weeks later, Nina called us back to say that they don't have that deal. We've put 500 miles on the car, showed it to all our friends, and bragged about how awesome the car was (like the Spaceship Enterprise inside!). Instead, Nina said that we have to come back in and sign for 0% for 3 years or 1.9% for 5 years. This just seems like a scam or a huge mistake on their part, which they are expecting us to pay for. To have to take it back and pay more money than was originally agreed just isn't fair and it's kind of humiliating to have to tell our friends about this. Nina also said that we would hear from her finance director the next day. Three days passed so we called the finance director. Called 3 times, no answer, so we left a voicemail. Five more days passed. Finally, finance director called us this morning to tell us that we have no choice but to come in this weekend to re-sign paperwork. She did, however, apologize for their mistake and their unprofessionalism. Apparently Nina is on vacation, which is supposed to account for why we've been hanging for the last week since we received Nina's original phone call. This lack of communication here speaks a lot toward their unprofessionalism. Something just seems really fishy here and I'm very prepared to report it to the Better Business Bureau and the Fairfax County/State Attorney General's office for a resolution if things go badly when we have to return to the dealership this weekend. Pros: --We had an awesome buying experience with Ryan Carr. He answered every question and was patient as my boyfriend, who is a very logical, very thorough, very meticulous person, made his decision. Cons: --Unprofessional in expecting that we will pay for their mistake. --Bad communication in failing to call us back in the first place and then in taking so long to return our phone call. --Deal was not as advertised. --Possible "spot delivery" or "yo-yo" scamming in place at this dealership. Both the Fairfax County Consumer Complaints office and the State Attorney General Consumer Complaints office have complaints from consumers about similar problems. For the actual car, it gets 5 stars. But the dealership should get negative stars. I would hesitate before choosing the Ted Britt Ford in Chantilly for your new car. Also, I will gladly update after our visit this weekend. If they make amends, then I will shoot this (and their official dealership review) up to 5 stars. UPDATE: We went last weekend to meet with Lani to fix our problem. We asked the reception area to direct us to Lani's office. The receptionist told us that someone was in there and had us sit at a table. We sat there for 15 minutes as we watched Lani breezily leave her office, chat with reception, and walk around a little bit. It seemed like she hadn't even been told that we were there, so we walked up to her and told her ourselves that we were there. That was the only negative experience we had during that trip. Lani drew up a new contract after explaining that because of a miscommunication between Ryan and Nina, the 0% deal didn't exist and Ford crediting denied it. So, we got the same deal, same monthly payments. Both Ford and Nina personally paid for the mistake in order to make things right for us. That says a lot that they owned up to their mistake, apologized, and made it right. Thanks team! read more

Ted Britt Service Department Chantilly nailed it! I am driving my second 2017 Fiesta, this one not bought at TBF (salesman never called me back!), but it had a brake problem. Selling dealer kept it for a week, and couldn't find a problem. Ford Dearborn arranged for me to take the car the TBF Chantilly, where they fixed it to my satisfaction. No issues about not being bought there. Kristinha Raper Service adviser was excellent, helpful, and helped me feel that I will be safe driving my Fiesta. Shame that their salespeople at the Fairfax location weren't as helpful (and the GM needs attitude training). read more

Upbeat and friendly, though their sales people could use some training in their products. I was just browsing, so getting an inexperienced salesman was not a problem. But if I was buying I would want my salesman to know the difference between a vehicle made in Detroit and one made in Spain, not to mention that a little 4 cyl truck can not pull a 5K# trailer. read more

Shout out to my favorite service advisor EVER Christina Wimbish (who knew you could have a favorite service advisor lol). She is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. I'll bore you with the details below. As a women with little knowledge of auto service and repair, I struggle with trusting a service advisor. I'm sure other have experienced the constant attempts to upgrade service and add on additional work. However, 90% of the time when I doubled checked if their recommendation was necessary, it was not. Therefore, I used to jump from auto shop to shop hoping to find someone I could trust. Now I am happy to say I've met Christina. She is proficient in translating technical car terminology into laymen's terms. This gives me a sense of transparency that she is not hiding behind technical terms. Most importantly, Christina takes the time to listen to your concerns (even during afternoon rush when it is crazy busy in there). I know I am being heard when she read more

I have owned a Lincoln Navigator for about 2 1/2 years and for most of that time the service was outstanding. But during the past year, even prior to Covid, I could see that the service was starting to falter. Phone calls/emails not returned, charged for items that I wasn't responsible for, service not completed. Usually, they would apologize and somehow make up for the mistakes. This time I have been calling them, texting, leaving messages, and actually speaking to managers regarding a cracked windshield that should be covered under the Winshields for Life that we purchased. After a week, they gave me a work order number that didn't work; since then, they keep telling me that they'll "get back to me." 3 1/2 weeks later and dozens of calls and messages to them, I'm still waiting. The one thing that remains outstanding is the quality of the drivers that make the pick-ups and the deliveries; the service department, not so much. read more
