Called on Monday to make an appointment for alignment. They put me down for 8am the following day. Dropped my vehicle off before they opened since I had to work (6am). After work at 3:30 my car hadnt even moved. Called them to find out it wasn't on the schedule. THEN as the call went on.."there it is". Lacking info from whoever scheduled it. This call included them raising the price from $135 to $205 due to my vehicle being lowered. Let's get it clear...there is nothing different to align this vehicle from stock alignment. After another 30-60 minutes I get a call that they want to start replacing parts. They had ALL day for this. Nope. Give me my car back. Not leaving it an extra day at this point. Add on top the manager (I assume he was a manager, Ryan to be exact) wants to blame a new employee (why was he answering the phone if he wasn't trained). Plus laying blame on me about communication when I did EVERYTHING discussed on the phone. Lots of shop options in this town. read more

Overall, the service itself was good, and the staff was friendly and easy to work with. I have no issue with the staff or the work itself. After dropping of my car for extreme shaking and check engine light flashing, I awaited diagnosis. Normally, the diagnostic fee in understandable. However, TW applies half of the fee to your repair, not the normal 100%. I wasn't really crazy about this practice. The main repair turned out to be something minor with spark plugs, so it could have been much worse. I was happy and really need my car for daily use. However, after agreeing to service and paying the bill, I find that a majority of my costs was a huge markup on the spark plugs themselves. OEM on these were around $21 for 4, probably much cheaper at wholesale. TW charged $54 EACH, for a total over $200 just for that, a 10x markup. I understand markup, and labor and service, and generating profit, but this is extreme in my opinion. I truly don't mind paying if I don't have to do the work, and someone competent is handling it for me. But everywhere you go, places are nickel-and-diming people for everything, and just overinflating everything, and this is clearly no exception. Had I known this was the issue, I would have done the work myself. I was under a time and work constraint, so I had no choice. I will probably not use this company again. I was extremely optimistic authorizing Ted Weins to service my vehicle however what started as a very pleasant experience resulted in feeling like an inconvenience. My service advisor was extremely informative and reassuring during my first few back to back visits. After nearly one month and $2,700.00 the open communication decreased immensely. I initiated more calls than I anticipated for updates the longer my vehicle was in their possession. Each time I brought my car back due to mechanical issues not being resolved the tone, the language the delayed call backs from various services advisors made me feel like my vehicle was a nuisance. Three back visits, two resulting in a tow, about one month without my vehicle, $2,700.00 in repairs and a final invoice for $1300.00+ additional dollars to replace something that had been replaced less than a year ago with no guarantee this fix would resolve the issue. Liars and thieves. I took my Lincoln in for a a front end alignment. About an hour or so later they called me and told me they couldn't get the lug nuts off and that I needed control arms and front end assembly parts and it will cost more than $2800. I told them to forget it and I would come pick it up I then took the car to Team Lincoln. A few hours later I got a call to come pick it up. The service rep said everything was fine and all they needed to do was align the front end and rotated the tires. The bill was $350. I absolutely would not recommend this repair shop. read more

On Agust 8, 2025, I had repaired to replaced exuast/intake salenoid. Service Manger by Ricky Barraza charge charge me $747.25 out the door. I thought the charges were too high. I drove to Ted Wiens to voice my complain they over the charges me to replaced AC Delco Delco 12679099 exuast solenoid 109.95 intake solenoid plus AS Delco throttle body gasket 31.95. I drove immediately to Team Chevrolet. They quote their price 69.00 each included gasket no additional charge. Rick Barraza insist on not changing due to the fact their or a dealer. I said your pricing are horrendous you are price goughing me. I look him dead at his fact was like the ROCK OF Gibraltar saying he is not changing anything. I Ask him you didn't offer me my no Miliatary discount he "I forgot." Still offer to make change. I appreciate Ted Wiens company honoring men who Service our country. Sometimes, it's easier to just give up... Service is mediocre all over the valley, and sometimes trusting a local well-known chain in the LV is just easier than shopping the market. Even if the costs are higher, you're willing to pay for peace of mind. But, the fairytale is over. It appears that even a local chain can suffer from a lack of professionalism. I'm too exhausted to explain every detail of my experience. All I can say is I live 4.2 miles from this Ted Wiens location, and upon returning to town, I have 57 miles on a Jeep Wrangler that was there from Monday to Saturday. The math isn't mathing... Also, the lack of communication was epic until I asked that dreaded Karen question, "Who is the manager?" That should tell you everything about the responsiveness and customer service. I could go on now, but I'm just so blasted tired of getting garbage in return for my thousands of dollars. Now, I must go to Bank of America too and have them resubmit BoA paperwork their own employees didn't complete correctly. It never ends... Las Vegas will never be the same. They took care of me right after their first customer. They were a bit pricey like charging to $18 to remove a tire then $25 for balancing it. I was never charged that sort of fee. I just love this place! I'm here again and writing this review to let the public know how great Ted Weins is! My brake switch just broke. They got my car in right away. Everyone is so professional and knowledgeable here. Cabrina, Sergio, and Tyler are amazing! They are very honest and always do great work. My bill is $181. That sounds quite fair to me. Cabrina was so helpful, and very smart when it comes to cars. Sergio is likewise just as professional and very funny. Tyler, the manager, is just as awesome as he could be! He is so kind and very intelligent. I love his patience. However, the greatest of them all is the district manger, Carlos Rodriguez. Wow, now that's a wonderful and bright man. I've written about him before as to how he "walks on water", and he still does. Knowing him has been an honor and a privilege. He represents the company all too well! Hello , my name is Angel Vidal and went there for a battery replacement which they did , nothing against the Company or anyone there I just wish the Communication had been better between Steven and myself . I like the guy and I'm pretty sure he is an outstanding employee but I thought he had given me two different estimates ( One for the battery $297 which I bought the same day ) and another one (of $528 for the alternator which I thought reasonable ) and then when I came the next day I found him giving me a paperwork for the amount of $1009 which was insane to me . I swear to God I've never seen an alternator more expensive in my entire life even if you think you have the most splendid labor on the face of Earth ,but I was in shock otherwise I would have never comeback there with thousands of body shops in the area that could have done it way cheaper ( Specially nowadays with this Economy) Right ?!?? . I ended up going to a friend who owns a BodyShop and has been taking care of my cars for years and I had to wait for 2 more days because some technician in Ted Wiens took out the battery recklessly and locked the anti-theft system ( this has to be done carefully ) otherwise this happens when changing or replacing the battery and I had to find another person to unlock it and pay him $278 for that mistake . It was a crazy experience . Once again I have nothing against any employee there and as I said I liked Steven a lot who happens to be a very charismatic guy , I just happened to be unlucky and our Communication was not the best but I'm pretty sure they are still in business for a reason and they run it correctly. I went to this business for a simple oil change on a Mercedes SUV. I've been here before for simple oil changes on a Lexus SUV which I usually only pay around $75. This time they decided they liked my car so much they quoted me $132 for a simple oil change because "it takes more oil then the Lexus SUV." Hmmmm, really? I asked for a quote on replacing the front brake pads only but they said it was their policy to replace the pads and rotors. They quoted me $1100. Are you kidding me?! So I called the actual MB dealership and they quoted me around $900 all in. Wow.... I strongly believe this is the type of business that looks at your car and determines what you can afford and decides to make up any price they think you can afford. I don't think that is right at all. That is taking advantage of someone and I don't appreciate that. Period. read more

I have had oil changes, tire rotation, tire mount and balance, alignment and replacement of pressure sensors in a few tires. Today, I arrived ON TIME at the Wien's Decatur store for a previously scheduled appointment for an alignment. There was a counter-person on the phone & a young woman in a Wiens shirt sitting toward the shop area...she fled into the shop rather than helping me. When the man at the counter FINALLY acknowledged me he made no apology for being unable to do the scheduled alignment "for a couple of hours". He made No offer to reschedule - nadda. I've been a Ted Wiens customer since 2004. In those days & for several years thereafter they had counter people & techs who actually gave superior 'customer service'. I bought tires & had all of the work on my car done at the Oakey location. Slowly they've purged competent mechanics, knowing managers and really good counter people... Since the parking lot was empty it's obvious that many consider the Decatur location as a place to avoid. Wasting any customers' TIME is a cardinal sin...it may be why Wiens is loosing market share. read more
