This visit to Teddy G's was solely the result of this great Yelp community. The high praise from so many Yelpers led me and my dear wife to land here after a visit to the nearby iconic Treehouse Brewery. Wait time for a table was reasonable for a Friday night. They have lots of comfortable seating. We had time to read the menu while waiting so when we were seated, we knew what we wanted right away. For me, the buffalo chicken mac and cheese was a must. The reviews were stellar, and it did not disappoint. So creamy. So cheesy. And the buffalo chicken chunks were delicious. I ate half and was stuffed. My wife got the steak tips. She is not a pepper and onion fan, so she asked for those to be held. She got the baked potato as a side. The tips tasted ok. But the plate looked rather sadly empty. Granted, she didnt want the veggies, but as a chef I wouldn't want a dish like that to go out. It just looked so embarrassingly small. 7 small pieces of steak and a small baked potato? I would say this chef could have done better. Offer another vegetable? I dont know. Anyway, my meal was the bomb. So a solid 4 stars for that, but minus 1 star for missing the curveball we threw at you. read more

My friends and I needed to meet for dinner last minute because the place we had a reservation at was actually close. However, Teddy G's took our reservation before 3 pm, and we were able to eat at 5. (On weekends, they don;t take reservations after 3 pm. Ok!?) We got in and got our drink right away. They have a full bar, a good beer selection, and I forget what the wine list is. The menu is typically New-England restaurant fair with some neo-American Bistro flare. I had the baked Haddock, others had the Spicy burger, and some mac and cheese. All were good, and I so want that burger next time. My fish was perfect, except the squash veggie side was overcooked ins a stew way; edible, but reminded me of grade school. However, the cole slaw was classically coastal great. The staff was attentive, and we had a pleasant time catching up. I had a long drive ahead of me, so didn't partake in the bar. And the bar was packed two-deep, so it is a going concern. There was a wait of a few couples the whole time we were there, so get that reservation. It is my impression that this is one of the upper-tier places around here, and all these places are packed. Granted, it was a Saturday night, and I am spoiled by living in a city. Understandably a bumping spot on a Friday but definitely worth the wait for a table and a whole vibe. Being from out of town, its often a struggle to find open local places that are very good and really glad we called ahead and asked when the kitchen was open. The service and staff moved fast, which was appreciated as my group and I were coming from out of town and accommodated at the bar. I spied so many dishes that I really wanted while sipping a beer - the pizza looked insane. However, shared with the table some delicious Parmesan bites, big fan, and stuck with the steak salad. I rarely am unable to make a decision on a menu, and I was floored by how many delicious things were on this menu. I couldn't decide between the sandwiches, pizza, or the dinners. I was so happy I went with the salad - the steak was perfectly medium rare and the vegetables were fresh and delicious. All of my companions REALLY loved the food and were so stuffed when we left. The service at the table was so nice and friendly as well as patient with us. I also had a special margarita that was very boozy and REALLY delicious as well. The ambiance is pub and grille - what I expected, I had the fisherman's platter with fried haddock, scallops, shrimp, and clams. The batter was light and crispy. The haddock was fresh. The scallops were buttery. The chicken tenders garlic parm rub got a thumbs up from my son. The price was reasonable considering the amount of food we ordered. I have been to Teddie G's several times now. We went last night and I usually start off with the onion soup. Needed more cheese on top this time but still good. Stopped while on our way to Lowell. There was a 30 minute wait and someone leaving said it was worth the wait. There was quite a few groups waiting, but we were seated in about 30 minutes. Good beer selection and standard kiss menu. I ordered a chicken wrap Cajun style with curly fries. Didn't enjoy it, started helping my husband with his spicy Alfredo meal. I'm a fan. The prices are reasonable, the place is clean and super cool. The owner is a great guy. I had the niko white pizza. Super tasty and made as ordered and advertised. I could have eaten the whole pizza. Only gripe is I burned my mouth. Hubby had a chili cheeseburger. Super messy and filling. Fries are steak fries and salty. Not our first time here and the place is always spotless , staff is always friendly and welcoming and attentive . We both went off script from our norms just to see if they were better rounded in all fare . My wife had the grilled cheese panini and she never knew that her own grilled cheese lacked garlic butter bread . She was very happy I had a bite and agreed . I decided on the gyro with lamb and beef just the gyro no fries . I asked for it to be heavy with the tasiki sauce but it wasn't and all the meat was very well over cooked . I could only manage to eat about half . Before we settled our bill I asked for a chicken parm over penne to go because that's my norm . The portion is good for 2 meals min and they get a good char on the chicken . The waitress didn't clear any empty plates as our meal went along. Letting them pile up in front of us. The lemon chicken park is literally chicken piccata and not even a good one. The sauce was the consistency of water and tasted like nothing. The chicken broc ziti was also liquid sauce with zero Alfredo flavor. The "clean" plates legit have crumbs and marks on them. And to finish off our experience the waitress had us fill out the tip amount in front of her on the handheld device. The options were 20%. 22% or 25%. Forcing guests to tip based on great service. When the service and experience was at best lackluster. This place needs Robert Irvine to step in and ship them into shape. read more

I went here last night to meet a friend-it was a fair meeting spot for us since we live an hour away from each other. The place does have an extensive menu, as well as a good cocktail list. I would say however that they could benefit from thinning down the menu and focusing on making 15-20 items super delicious. They do have a nice selection of beers, wines, and cocktails. I started with a painkiller that was quite strong and my second drink was a Teddy's cranberry breeze or something to that effect. I enjoyed the second drink more but they could improve on their mixes. My friend ordered the breeze as well but finished off with a blue moon. She ordered the house Mac and cheese with some fries and I got stuffed eggplant with prosciutto. My meal was quite large..it came with tons of pasta...a bit too much. The stuffed eggplants were tasty but I felt like something was missing. She liked her Mac and cheese and had no complaints. I may go back to try their other meals...I would like to try the buffalo Mac and cheese which is what I was thinking about getting as well. Went on a kind of busy day, worst experience I could've had. First time I went, food was palatable, thought it was a bad day as it wasn't busy. Second time was somehow worse, their alcoholic drinks tasted watered down, and their water tastes like chlorine so it's all I could taste. Food took forever to come out and when it did, it was warm at best, by the time we were half way done it was cold. I don't think there is a price I could say justified how bad the food and service was. read more

So after several people suggested this place to me, I decided to try it out. I met up with 2 people that were at the bar and were already served. After sitting there for about 10 minutes, and not being asked if I wanted a drink or menu I decided to go sit at a booth. The other parties I was with took their drinks to the booth. Our waitress came over and asked if I wanted a drink. I just ordered a root beer, which took 5 minutes to bring over. By this time the others with me asked for another drink. The waitress did not take their empty glasses. After 10 minutes they got their drinks and we made our order of food. We ordered 2 pizzas-margarita pizza & Buffalo chicken pizza(both deep dish) and two burgers. They asked if we wanted it all brought out together but we decided to get the pizzas first. The pizzas looked as though they were not cooked enough. But we're good, but seemed as though they were from a box and just had some toppings added. After a long wait the 2 burgers finally came out. They looked great but I thought my Mac attack burger would have been cheesier then it was. We finished our meals and waited for our waitress to come back and ask us if we wanted dessert and boxes. She never returned. After we were fed up I finally got up to ask if something had happened to our waitress?!! The lady came over and gave us boxes and apologized that our waitress never returned. I was taking one of the pretties out for their birthday and again was not asked for dessert. Seemed like they just wanted us to leave. Stopped in for a quick bite on a Sunday evening- bad move. Service was slow and inattentive. One member from our party of four ordered the chicken fingers with buffalo sauce and received plain chicken instead (which was obvious to everyone except the waitress who insisted that the order was correct). About three fries into his entree my friend noticed a long blonde hair in his fries. After about 10 minutes our waitress finally checked back and we addressed the situation. The waitress returned the meal to the kitchen to be remade. A few minutes later the manager came out and apologized for the hair and offered 10% off as compensation. Buffalo chicken finally came out (this time it was correct despite what the waitress had previously claimed- chicken was actually tossed in sauce this time). Finished our meals and asked for the check- no 10% off (the 10% isn't a big deal- it's the principal). Flagged down the waitress again and she said she'd fix it. 10% off the bill? Nope- 10% off the hair entree. Not sure how the owner of this restaurant expects to be able staff another restaurant (new pizza place opening in town) when the quality of his current restaurant has been steadily declining for some time now. Everything was delicious. Our server Marissa was very prompt and attentive. The food arrived quickly and everything was exactly as ordered. It's always nice to find somewhere that checks all the boxes while on vacation and this place certainly did that. We started with a garlic bread with cheese that came out very promptly. I had a burger and my girlfriend had a chicken gyro, both of which were delicious and came to the table soon after the appetizer left. We finished with the dessert dough bites and they were delicious with caramel, raspberry and chocolate sauces. We love the fall beauty of the area and will surely return soon. read more
