Love the fact that we have Persian food in ktown. Not only is the food good, the owners are super sweet and friendly. Not sure if people know this but in the Korean language, "Ro" means street. So TehranRo is "Tehran Street" and there is an actual TehranRo in Seoul. So this is a perfect name! We had the filet mignon kabobs, stuffed grape leaves and tahchin (a chicken/rice dish that's like a casserole). We're always happy with the food. They also serve Persian beer, Korean beer and soju! Great for groups! Definitely one of my favorite places in ktown. read more

I've been wanting to visit TehranRo for awhile now and it only took a friend visiting from SF to help push me in the right direction. I also should note that I live literally a few blocks away walking. My friend and I came here as we were going to the Metric show at The Wiltern and wanted to grab dinner beforehand. Upon arrival at TehranRo we noticed that there weren't a lot of people eating, this must have been around 7pm on a Friday night. We looked at the menu and concluded there were some great options to choose from. Plus the prices seemed all relatively affordable. We met Pasha who greeted us and then placed our order which consisted of dolmeh, lamb shank, and boneless chicken thigh. Pasha also offered us potato salad (on the house). We also ordered a bottle of red wine. All in all the food was very delicious. Pasha's service on point. We were also happy to see that the restaurant begin to fill up prior to us leaving for the Metric show. Glad I was able to experience TehranRo and look forward to future visits! read more

I was hosting lunch for a meeting at my office yesterday. I wanted to serve Persian food as it is always a crowd favorite. I am located in a very commercial area with very little options. So I check Postmates for Persian food and TehranRo came up as an option to deliver to us. Everything was perfect and I everyone was impressed and very satisfied. I added special notes to serve everything family/catering style. They went above and beyond and packed everything to perfection. The only thing I wish was added was serving utensils, but since it wasn't a catering order, but multiple plates packed on special request, it is understandable. Being Persian an eating at dozens of Persian restaurants around L.A., this restaurant has instantly jumped to my top 3. The quality, flavor and portion is on point. You can tell that the restaurant truly cares and pays attention to what they are serving people. There are also some surprising menu options that are very uncommon, yet authentic to our culture. We ordered an all vegetarian spread today and everything was amazing!! Eggplant delight was crunch and savory / creamy. The hummus was delicious along with the Persian salad. We had the roasted zucchini & eggplant which made a nice veggie "main dish". The grape leaves came out warm, soft, and super fresh! Potato salad is unusual and delicious and has chicken in it. Eggplant delight appetizer also very good. We preferred the ground chicken kabobs to the ground beef ones. I was looking to order pick up and TehranRo caught my attention with 5 start reviews. The presentation is great and packaging is on point so I was very excited however the food was shockingly average. I wouldn't call this authentic Persian food. Yes they're kababs but the have no taste very bland. The shish kabab is tender but has no taste. The koodieh is ok. The shirazi salad came with concentrate lemon juice instead of fresh Lemon juice. If you're looking for Persian food there are many better places in Los Angeles. read more

This very first Persian restaurant in Koreatown is a perfect addition to our neighborhood. Great food (I tried Koobideh, and Shish kabob), beautiful design inside the restaurant, and very very clean, beyond what you normally see in Koreatown restaurants! If you want tasty middle eastern food with decent price, well then TehranRo is the place for you! I had to drive all the way to Downtown or Westwood area to get some good Persian food before this place opened up. It is now my go to place! read more

If you love Massis Kabob you'll love this place. I ordered via Uber Eats the Chicken Kobideh with half rice half salad (comes with pita bread) and a side of Baklava. My food came on time and was still hot and fresh, packaged nicely, and utensils/condiments were included as well. They give generous portions of meat to rice, and the chicken was juicy and cooked perfectly. The salad was fresh and came with a creamy sweetish dressing, and the 3 piece baklava is to die for - literally melts in your mouth and is sweet and crispy with bits of pistachio nuts on it. Wow I am so excited that we have a Persian restaurant in our neighborhood. It really nice to break up all the Korean food, and yet the get the clientele -- ice cold Terra goes really well with kebabs. If you have never tried the eggplant definitely go for the Kashkeh Bademjoon! But the meats!!! So savory and juicy! Never dry!!! And the owner, Pasha, is so kind. They ran out of beer and he actually went out to get it without missing a beat! What?!
