Food is decent. Place was totally empty. Waiter just let me wait there for 30 minutes for my check. Didn't ask me if I wanted dessert or coffee after my meal. So I played the game and just waited for the place to close. Eventually a guy came to clean the table and I told him I wanted the check. I brought my bf to this place to celebrate his birthday! We showed up at 8pm and they immediately sat us. The restaurant is nice inside and at that time there were maybe only 2 other parties which made the dinner feel nice and special. I mixed up the time they closed thinking they closed at 11pm but they actually close at 9pm. Even with the mix up they let us stay and enjoy our dinner and still would check on us even though it was after hours. The owner took our order, recommended what to eat, offered wine samples and even gave us an appetizer on the house. We had the steak kabob plate, BBQ salad, tempura shrimp, fries and a bottle of their recommend wine. We shared the main plate and it was more than enough with the salad and sides we got. Employees were attentive and polite. Full points for ambiance and service. But the food left a lot to be desired. The rice was good-- I like when Persian and Indian restaurants use parboiled basmati so I was enjoying that. Kebab was ok. The Ghormeh Sabzi stew lacked the tart depth from dry limes. Everyone makes it differently but it usually have more of a tart flavor than I had here. I wish it was also a bit thicker with the Sabzi part. Overall, would I stop by again or order for lunch? I was in the area and was searching for Middle Eastern food and looked that I had bookmarked this place and figured why not let's give it a try. I am really glad I tried it.
