Been wanting to try this place because i keep seeing it on facebook. So me and my girlfriend was craving catfish and instead of going to our usual place, we decided to look this place up and head over here. Place is very nice. Clean. The view is amazing with this man made pond. They have fans outside for a hot day. I mean this place is designed nicely. Soo food! we got ourselves the large platter with 10 catfish fillets, fries, and those hush puppies? I forgot what they're called. The fries were great. They came in seasoned. The hushpuppies or whatever were great as well. So we got the large platter cuz we though the fillet were gonna be super tiny or something like that but they were actually normal sized. So it was a lot of food. Didn't get to finish and had to take the rest home. Anyways! The catfish was not bad. It's not a wow either. Definitely not better than our usual spot. so i was disappointed. BUT i have tried their sausages and crawfish when they went to Baylor this past semester. It was reaaaallyy good. So i might have to try there other menu items and update my review then. read more

Excellent food but a little pricey and not compliant with COVID health precautions. We got the best value platter with the lobster tail, shrimp, and crab legs. It was kind of expensive though, and even though the cashier said it was enough food for 2 people and we ordered an extra corn on the cob, we were still hungry afterwards. This was really only enough food for one person even though it cost over $30. Though we liked the food and the workers were friendly and helpful, I will not go there again soon because the workers don't wear their masks properly or enforce other health precautions. Some had masks on too loose and positioned below their noses. That was the only issue I saw st first when we entered the restaurant. We chose to eat outside even though it was chilly. After we ate, we decided to go inside to order something else to go, we noticed more problems. Some of the kitchen workers were keeping their masks below their chins. Many customers entered the building without masks and ordered at the cash register or got up and walked around the dining room. No worker ever did anything or said anything to these people. They also did not ensure physical distancing between tables. Some restaurants either increase the space between tables or post a sign to block people from sitting at certain tables to keep parties more distanced. In most parts of the dining room, there was very little space between tables and no ability to prevent another group of diners from sitting too close to your table. We saw this was problem when a group of diners chose a table right next to separate group, without adequate distance between the tables, even though there were other tables they could have chosen. read more

First off, they have a great outdoor seating area with picnic tables overlooking a pond. They have food to feed the fish and turtles. The food was great! We got the fried platter, blue crab and shrimp and I was very impressed. The customer service was great too and all the people eating even seemed friendly. If you like shellfish (crab legs, shrimp, crawfish, etc) cooked in lots of butter, then this is a must stop when driving through Waco. The service is really good and the setup of the restaurant is very functional. For instance, I love that you do not have to go into the bathroom to wash your hands after dinner. They have large hand sinks outside of the bathrooms. We look forward to visiting Tejun again, and please open a location in Fort Worth. read more

When told we would be eating at the new Tejun Restaurant, I was excited 'cause I love Cajun food. What would I order? Maybe Etoufee? Jambalaya? Crayfish? Some interesting blackened fish? May something even creole? I was pumped. But NO. This place should be named, "Crustaceans R Us" .... now that's not a bad thing, just a long way from what I expected. The shrimp, sausage, and blu crab we enjoyed was good, even very good ... but the menu is VERY narrow. The beer was cold and reasonably priced, our total for 8 was $130 However, I doubt I'll be back anytime soon. Too many restaurants offer shrimp and even crayfish AND have many other items cooked different ways on the menu. Tejun misses. read more

Location is great! Nice and clean! Food is a big let down when you consider the price. I paid $21 for 1 pound of peeled shrimp which still had the tails on. Shrimp were small with little flavor, drenched in butter. I highly suggest saving your money and going to Fridays in Lacy Lakeview. Much better price and you can not compare the quality. read more

My husband and I came out for lunch today. I have had several coworkers tell me how good it was. We went to the Robinson location. It was a beautiful day and we ate under the covered deck. We got the Best Seller (1/2 lb peeled shrimp, 1/2 Lg Alaskan Snow Crab, 1 slot top Maine lobster tail, 1 sweet buttered corn and 1 buttered and split red potato) for $29.98. We added on 2 sausage links at $1.50 each. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. One plate was plenty for two adults. I am a wimp for spice and found the sausage spicy, but it is a Cajun restaurant so that's what you get. I was amazed how busy it was at 11:30 on a Wednesday. It was a great experience and we will be back. Maybe they can add live music on the deck on the weekend? read more

I am giving them 4 stars because the food was good and they show potential to really grow and improve. Their new permanent location is bright, clean and roomy. They can seat a decent amount of customers so if the popularity increases they should be able to serve large crowds. Currently the menu is limited to boiled shrimp, crab and lobster tails. Crawfish will be a seasonal addition. A small number of sides are available including corn on the cob and buttery boiled potatoes. The manager brought around some sautéed mushrooms that were tasty. Rice, slaw and gumbo would be welcome additions. Customers order from a menu posted on the wall near a window. They call your number and you pick it up at the service counter. My order came quickly. The quality of the food was good. The shrimp boil has some spice. Crab and lobster seemed fresh - not frozen. I got the feeling they were being careful not to do to much until they are ready. The food here is OK. I wouldn't say that it's excellent, but it's also not the worst thing I've had. For the area it's reasonably good seafood. My big complaint is the prices in my opinion much higher than it needs to be. Ultimately I would say it's worth trying, but just be ready that the bill may be higher than you expect. read more

First time trying Te'jun and it was fantastic. We tried the snow crab(same $ as the grocery store) which was fresh and delicious. We also tried some shrimp which were not my favorite but everyone else really liked them. We also tried a fried basket that came with shrimp, fish, and fries.
