This is by far the cleanest, most efficient coffee/tea shop I've been to in Sacramento. I don't drink coffee, but this establishment came recommended by a few family members. I walked in and was greeted by three smiling faces, which was nice considering it was so early in the morning. I made sure to ask for April's name; she was the epitome of customer service and genuinely funny. We got to talking and she told me there's another store closer to home. My only gripe is that the closer store (on H Street) doesn't carry peppermint tea (which might be a good thing, as I'd likely overspend... it's SO good). My favorite Temple location thus far!!! Lots of seating and very beautiful light decor. The great location means that's it's extremely busy. There was long line almost through the door even on a Sunday afternoon which typically is a slow coffee day. The line was moving painfully slow, but once the ordering is complete, it's a wonderful place to hangout and enjoy the day. read more

This a wonderful coffee house with a wide array of skillfully crafted beverages and a funky/fun ambiance. A perfect place to people watch either in the comfy indoor sofas, or relaxing in the outdoor seating areas. Make sure to take advantage of the artisanal baked goods (Hint- the vegan raspberry muffins are AMAZING... and I'm not vegan). Word of advice though, the WiFi has a tendency to get over congested and slow around 3-6pm, so plan accordingly. read more

I really enjoyed coming here until I didn't. We live in a crazy time and this business does not care about the health and safety of their own employees or their patrons for that matter. They are not allowing their workers to protect themselves with N95 masks during an epidemic that is endangering the lives of not only their staff, their staffs families but also their customers. I was ashamed to hear that it wasn't allowed due to a violation of DRESS CODE what a joke. I truly hope this place closes down since they can't overlook a simple policy to protect the people that work hard for them day in and day out. read more

On Valentine's Day, a barista who appeared to have rolled out of bed yelled at a coworker of mine to tell her she wasn't standing in the right place. He really yelled. I was already intimidated by the prices and the tiny paper menu, but rude staff is, as Liz Lemon says, a Deal Breaker. I work across the street from this location and will walk much further to find caffeine. I recommend Trade Coffee just down the street for very approachable staff and a visible menu. I've had the peppermint bliss tea at other location and it is good. I wanted a hazlenut latte but they were out of hazlenut so a vanilla latte must do. The chocolate chip cheesecake bites are good but not worth ordering. I don't like not seeing the menu unti I am at the ordering station. The seats and parking are not good. Kinda pricey. Terrible customer service. I would have given them five stars based on the food/beverages, but the cashier was extremely rude to me. I walked into the store and proceeded to stand in line behind the only other customer. When it was my turn, the cashier was very rude to me. She rolled her eyes, gave me a dirty look, and told me that I should have been standing "next to the previous customer, not behind him." There are no signs anywhere stating that lines only form side by side and not behind one another, and there were no other customers when I entered into the store, so I'm not sure how I was supposed to know that. It was all very, very odd. I suggest hiring nicer cashiers, or making signs to direct customers where to stand in line. read more

The line was mind-bogglingly slow moving given the orders I saw you guys getting and the 5 or so baristas you had behind the counter bonking heads together. The mocha I watched one of your guys make while I waited (not mine) was an embarrassment. After that insane wait you handed me a french press with a shitty kitchen timer that, when pressed (after another 4 minutes) yielded a brew with less flavor than my Trader Joe's el cheapo, ground to the wrong grain for the method that I made while still asleep that morning. tldr: Wanted good coffee and was willing to pay for it. Just visited the new Temple location in Sacramento and I give it a thumbs up. The vibe is very different from the 9th street Temple location in Sacramento, as it is a bit more upbeat and brightly lit. I ordered the red and black tea for the first time, and it was delicious! This newly developed Temple coffee shop is really spacious and maintains the cool and relaxed vibes signature of Temple coffee roasters. The workers were very patient and friendly, because even though I took a solid 8 minutes to decide what to get they didn't mind, and instead assisted me in picking out a tasty new drink. Love, love, love!!! Temple has to be one of my favorite, if not my absolute top coffee shop ever. This brand new location opened up recently on the busy intersection of K street near Lavender Heights. Starting with the outside there is lots of outdoor seating for people to enjoy if they prefer. As you walk in you are greeted by one of the most beautiful settings a coffee shop has ever displayed. Seating inside is scarce for a location as busy as Temple, but like the others you make do. The floor is layered with pennies all throughout business giving it a very unique Portland-esque look. As far as the menu goes, it shares most of the same drinks as the other Temple locations. After a long break, I was in the area so I decided to give Temple Coffee another try at this newer location. I have to give them credit. Temple has really upped their game. The service was excellent. The cup of of coffee made by a non-handmade pour-over robot setup was very good. Bought a bag of the Guatemalan beans. Not bad. They were doing good business with multigenerational clientele. They are a quality, modern coffee roaster with a well trained staff and the kind of cafe you can bring your relatives to. read more
