Our family dined at Ten3 this evening for a special Holiday dinner and the the evening was great! Our tram ride included an amazing view of the city lights and an amusing cabin operator who made it fun. Dinner at Ten3 was delicious. We each ordered something different, and we were all pleased with everything from the fun bread basket that includes blue corn bread to the filet, and fish special. Our waiter Lorenzo was friendly and attentive. All in all a really special dinner and experience. read more

I would not be giving this 2 starts if it wasn't for the great service I received from our waiter. I came with a few colleagues for some food and drinks, since we are only in town for a few days. When we received the food it felt like it has been sitting for 10 minutes before we received it. Extremely cold. The appetizer wings were the only thing that came out fresh. I had the Buffalo short rib, and the other had the tacos and a sandwich. All cold. But the biggest audacity this place had was to charge $30 for a meat shot of Black Label whiskey. It absolutely blew my mind that such a cheap whiskey brand was so expensive! They could atleast give a warning that they charge for one drink what an entire bottle would cost at a liquor store. Absolutely ridiculous. I recommend anyone taking the hike or tramway up to the top of Sandia, either bring their own food, or eat before or after. Absolutely atrocious. DO NOT RECCOMEND. read more

Went for lunch the other day with some friends. We hiked in from Ellis trailhead, about 1.4 miles. The place wasn't crowded, we had it nearly to ourselves. It was pretty windy so the tram wasn't running. The food was very very good, the wait staff were friendly and attentive. We started with an order of chicken wings and brussel sprouts. Both were done just right. The wings were tasty by themselves and the sauces just made them better. Surprising the brussel sprouts were yummy with a nice glaze and some pumpkin seeds tossed in. I had an absolutely wonderful brisket sandwich. Others had steak and salads. We finished with a shared piece of chocolate cake. The only negative comments were my wife felt there we too many greens on her salad and the dressing was a bit too tart. I had a sweet potato black bean salad. I should have gone with the fries. Fun place to eat, hard place to get to, but worth it. read more

I was inspired to make a reservation at this restaurant for Valentine's Day. I made the reservation early early January and I was able to book a table for two on Sunday February 13th. I was very much looking forward to it, then I received a call on January 27th, I was unable to pick up so they left a voicemail about my reservation. They had recently made it policy that you must put down a $25 deposit for reservations per person. I am fine with that considering there are many restaurants that require this. However, they also informed me that for the weekend I had made my reservation, they will be doing a prefixed five course menu with complimentary champagne (which is fine, but I am under 21 so I won't be able to partake) and tram tickets would be included. This all would cost $150 per person. So for a simple table for two you would be spending $350 for the whole experience if you include the reservation fee and the menu fee. This does not include tax or tip. It just would have been nice to know earlier because I'm sure other restaurants are booked by now for Valentine's Day. I understand that some might believe that this is a great deal. However, it would be cheaper to order a normal two or three course meal at any other fine dining establishment in town, plus purchase two round trip tram tickets. I give a two star review even though I didn't get a chance to eat there, I have been inside before and the atmosphere is beautiful, I just wish this could have been handled a little better. I don't typically write Yelp reviews and the two that I have made so far were positive reviews, so I do not write this review lightly. My fiancé and I just had dinner last night at Ten3 to celebrate our engagement. The night started off perfectly with a great tram ride up the mountain. At this point, the experience rapidly worsened. 5 minutes after being seated, the hostess that seated us demanded to know what name our reservation was under and seemed to question if we were supposed to be there. At this point we had already checked in with the first hostess at the bottom of the tram as well as the second hostess that now made us feel unwelcome. It took another 15 minutes (20 total since being sat) for a server to approach our table. She informed us she was not actually or server but would be happy to get us water to start. 5 minutes after that, our actual server came to take our drink order. Now 30 minutes after we were seated, we finally received our waters and our drinks (1 espresso martini and 1 sprite) came another another 10 minutes after that and we were finally able to place our orders. Our server regularly apologized for the delays, but would then disappear for 10-15 minutes at a time only to reappear having clearly forgot what he was supposed to be doing. We ordered the oyster on the half shell to start. They were extremely salt and the mignonette was unidentifiable but had a texture somewhere between shrimp shells and green chile skin with no hint of gin. We are now convinced the oyster were over salted to cover up the fact they were spoiled, but more on that later. After our oysters arrived, we requested a bread basket as we noticed every table but our own had received one. While the bread was good, it was delivered 10 minutes after our mains. My fiancé ordered the seafood paella and found the presentation to be subpar for a $42 plate. Flavor wise she said the seafood was overpoweringly strong with a fish smell. Again, we now believe that was the result of the seafood being improperly stored or handled. I ordered the New York strip with a white wine Demi glaze and mashed potatoes with Brussels sprouts. The potatoes and Brussels sprouts were amazing. However, there was no Demi glaze and instead the plate was drenched in blood as the steak was clearly not rested. I ordered a medium rare steak, but received a piece of meat that was over grilled marked on the outside, but nearly raw on the inside. I had to ask for a steak knife which finally arrived at the table 10 minutes after my steak. By which point it had finished resting and the pool of blood overtaken the plate. The massive amount of grizzle on the side of the steak made it so I had to saw for 15-30 seconds to cut a single piece. For $48 I was disappointed to the point I left 1/3 of my steak uneaten. Now at this point we did not feel the need to say anything. To be honest, the view and tram ride were so fantastic that we were willing to overlook the sub par food. Additionally, it's a bit awkward being stuck on the top of the mountain with the service staff waiting to ride down, so we tipped our waiter 20% and figured we would call it a fluke and not hold it against anyone. However, the following morning we both began to experience stomach pains. As the day continued our pains increased and we began to grow nauseous. At this point I decided to call the restaurant and explained the situation. My fiancé and I believe we were served bad seafood, which would explain the bad tasty, fishy smell, and increased illness of my fiancé who had both the oyster and seafood paella. I left a message and received a call back 20 minutes later. I told the manager about our experience and requested a refund for the meal ($150+ $30 tip). It should be noted we paid an additional $50 just to take the tram to the restaurant. The manager told me she had to talk to her general manager and would get back to shortly. Hours later, we have not received any response from the GM and continue to feel worse and worse. What makes this more frustrating is that we know staff is on location as they answered the phone and stated they were, but the message machine states that the restaurant is closed for lunch due to wind. Therefore, they have no customers currently, but cannot find the time to speak to us in order to find some remedy for this situation. I myself am a chef and have already been forced to have my sous chef cover my shift tomorrow as I cannot allow myself to risk my own clients health. Again, it was one issue to receive sub par service and food. I totally understand that mistakes happen and am one of the first people to excuse and defend servers and chefs, however, I find it inexcusable to serve spoiled/contaminated food regardless of the price tag, but to get sick after spending $230 on a meal for 2 is beyond inexcusable. And not addressing the situation immediately is irresponsible. The only person I recommend attends this restaurant is the health inspector. Update: my fiancé spent much of the following afternoon and evening throwing up and unable to keep anything down. read more

If I could give Ten 3 more stars I would! We had our office holiday lunch party here. What a fabulous experience. Our waitress was Katie and while she was great, really everyone from the manager (Chasse?) to Haley and others pitched in for a seamless and great time. Really fun and creative drinks. The food value was over the top. Wasn't sure what to expect with the bar menu but we were all beyond thrilled. The portions, quality and price were beyond our expectations. The mac cheese with bacon and cherry tomatoes is to die for along with best ever Brussel sprouts and flank steak and oh yeah, the shrimp and blue corn grits! Fabulous views and experience! First I would like to say I had a wonderful experience 2years ago on my anniversary. I wish I could say the same this past weekend....we rode the tram up with out of state guests. It was approximately 3:30pm on a Saturday. We only wanted a drink. We entered and a host greeted us. I stated that we just wanted to go to the bar for a drink. He told me to go ahead but that we could not sit at any tables. We entered the bar (5 of us) there were 2 vacant stools and me and another one of my party sat down. The other 3 stood behind us. The bartender told us "we could not stand" so....we could not sit nor could we stand???!!! Did they want us to levitate? BTW there were 8 vacant tables! One of my party went up to a 2nd hostess to ask what we should do and she said "i guess you can sit at the back table" but, there is no service so you will have to go to the bar to get any drinks and you can't have food. What?? Isn't it a restaurant? We didn't want food but , how ridiculous to make that statement. I really can't believe the way we were treated. They acted like they didn't want our business. This place was beyond anal with their Covid rules as if they were dealing with the Black Plague or something It was extremely cold outside and the hostess would not let us stand just inside the door WITH our masks on! They honestly should have made her take a personality test before allowing someone so rude to work in a restaurant. We were not that impressed with the food or service either. We had a wonderful experience at Ten 3. It was a very romantic early Valentine's Day dinner for us. The setting is amazing, at 10,300 feet overlooking Albuquerque. The new building is beautiful and makes full use of the location on the edge of the cliff with huge windows looking onto the lights of the city. The trip up on the tram adds to the experience. We had never done it at night before and it's kind of magical. The food was terrific, and beautifully presented. The menu is creative and seems to have something for everyone (including vegan, keto, etc.) The special that night was wild boar. I had never had that before so that is what I ordered. It was delicious...kind of a cross between pork and beef, with a delicious sauce and veggie mix. My wife had the short ribs which were also delicious. We also split the mixed greens with goat cheese, pecans, and cranberries. The waitress delivered what looked like two full size salads. She assured us that the kitchen split one order. It seems like they just gave us full salads, which seemed generous. And the salad and its dressing were very good. Their mixed drink menu is also very creative. My margarita had a nice dose of Grand Marnier and the rim salt was mixed with red chile flakes which I loved. Our server was friendly and provided great service. As to value, we expected the meal to be expensive. We did have a couple of the most expensive items on the menu, plus drinks, salad, and dessert. The bill with tax and tip came to just short of $200. Our one complaint ( the reason I could only give four starts) was that you then have to add $50 for the tram ride up the mountain. (And $3.00 for parking at the tram.) The restaurant should, at the very least, disclose this on their web site so people are prepared for this expense. We thought this was a shortcoming of the restaurant. Ideally, the restaurant should negotiate a discount with the tram for those going up to dinner. Thought we would stop in with out of town family to have a bite to eat. Went in was told that if we wanted a table for 5 by the window we would have to wait 35 minutes..... not a problem to get that view. Then after 10 minutes was called and was told the only seating for 5 was on opposite side and that we would have to wait. No problem, if we wanted the window (west side)Then after another 10 minutes was buzzed again, this time told that they could not seat near the window where we wanted to sit because there were 4 adults and a kid. Told "due to occupancy rules the only place they could sit was away from the window (which had blinds way Down so you could not even see anything) or in the area on East side way away from the window. They did not even offer to accommodate by sitting 3 at one table and 2 at another. This is totally ridiculous , will not recommend this restaurant NO MATTER how good it is suppose to be. Beautiful restaurant. I booked us a reservation months and months ago for a valentines dinner(a few days after valentines because they were closed on Valentine's Day). The tram ride on the way up was nice but a bit cold. We get up to the restaurant and have a drink at the bar while waiting for our table to get ready. The bar staff was friendly and the drinks were very tasty. Nobody ended up calling us to bring us to our table so I'd occasionally walk over to the host stand and ask if our table was ready no big deal. Once we sat down we were greeted and ordered a bottle of wine. The bottle of wine was close to 70 dollars...all the wine options were pretty expensive but it was a special occasion. We were satisfied with the wine and ordered our appetizer which was also very tasty along with the bread they bring to all tables. So far so good. We then order our entrees. The entrees are also very very expensive so I'm expecting to have a delicious meal. Our server then brings us a palate refresher which is a a one bite arrangement and mine has a giant hair in it... I take it out and still enjoy it.. things happen I work at a restaurant so still no big deal. I politely let our server know and he says "thanks for letting me know". We wait and wait and finally our food comes out and the presentation looks great. The steak was cooked correctly but not flavorful or mind blowing.. was bland and not very seasoned. The potatoes were good. My fiancés dish was also equally disappointing. The shrimp was rubbery and over cooked and the paella patty which was the main dish was gooey/unpleasant. We also ordered dessert which was meh. Overall the restaurant isn't worth the price tag. I think this would be a great spot to bring out of towners for an overpriced cocktail because of the view. Will probably not be visiting the fine dining portion again sadly. We were very excited for our visit but overall disappointed. read more

We took the tram to the top of the Sandias to catch the sunset and celebrate a special day. We stopped in Ten 3 to check it out for the first time and were taken with the glamorous views! The restaurant has a fine dining side and a casual dining side. We understood the fine dining side required a reservation, and so thought nothing of taking an available table on the casual side. We were confronted by an angry hostess barking at us for our transgression. We were very embarrassed at the degrading way she addressed us, and made a prompt exit. Were we approached with professionalism, we would have happily acknowledged our error. But because of the humiliating way this employee chose to handle the situation, I have a lasting negative impression of Ten 3. Due to the racially charged environment we all find ourselves in these days, the racial dynamic of the encounter was not lost on us. While it is not my nature to post bad reviews, I feel compelled to do so here because this person demonstrated a gaping lack of basic customer service skills. Ten 3 management might want to look into that. read more

Couldnt ever get in!! Was told an hour wait for party of 6 or to split our party and it was 30 mins. Waited an hour plus asked twice what the issue was and never got a decent explanation. Took my best friend there for her 80th birthday on September 26th. I came from Illinois and it was my first visit on the mountain. Andrea was our server...... what can I say....... truly the best server I have ever had, anywhere. Sweet, friendly. We felt like we knew her forever. We had a fantastic meal at Ten3. We were able to get last minute reservations and a tram ticket to the restaurant. Our server was amazing, even moved the table for us when the sun was beating in. She also accommodated my picky daughter !The food was delicious. We particularly loved the tuna appetizer and polenta appetizer, pork chop and steaks. The amuse bouche was a very classy touch. I brought my wife for her birthday. I really wanted to like this place. I've eaten at the top of the mountain for over 30 years. I've taken people from all over the world to eat at the old High Finance when friends or business acquaintances would come to town. At the prior restaurant, I would tell guests "we are here for the view, the food is ok." I didn't want guests to expect the best, only to be disappointed. The wait staff was always nice and polite. The food at the old High Finance 2.5 to 3 star. It was nothing awesome, but good enough to have a pleasant evening. And in total, it was a good experience. But, the meal we had two Fridays ago at Ten 3? That was one of the worst meals I have ever had. Not the worst, but up there. There is no way I am taking visitors anymore. I feel like I'd be apologizing for the food the whole time. There are plenty of other New Mexico establishments where I know I will hear rave reviews by whomever I take there. The evening started off well enough. The floor to ceiling windows are beautiful. The style of kitchen is a modern presentation. The fireplace is well located. As for food, the breads were good. Particularly, the blue corn cornbread. That was pretty much the highlight of the meal, the blue corn cornbread. After that, I thought we were in for a real treat. But, the entire experience went downhill from there. The C or D team must have been cooking last Friday, because no self confident chef would ever put so much salt on a piece of meat that it was almost inedible ... let alone destroying a beautiful lamb loin. Salt is meant to bring out flavor, to accentuate. It is not meant overpower everything on the plate. Let your customers salt to taste, don't salt a dish into oblivion before they even get the plate. Then my meal, I asked the waitress if the Paella is a traditional Paella. She said "Yes." But, it most assuredly is not. The ingredients of a traditional paella were not mixed together in a plate of saffron rice, nor were they placed on top of saffron rice so that each ingredient could be tasted separately with none polluting the other, or eaten at the same time to meld different flavors. No, the ingredients in what Ten 3 calls a paella were separated into their own piles by type of protein, with the exception that the chorizo was put inside a ball of saffron rice which was the plate's presentation of saffron rice - a ball of rice in the center of the bowl. By putting all the chorizo inside a ball of rice, the fats/grease of the chorizo are sucked up into the rice which makes a greasy mush ball of rice with the taste of saffron completely disappeared behind the flavor of the chorizo. It was just the singular taste of chorizo in one greasy mushy ball of rice. With a traditional Paella, the proteins and veggies are all intermingled throughout the rice, or on top of the rice so that the flavor of the saffron is never overwhelmed by any taste in the dish. This dish? It was a good idea - a deconstructed paella - but the execution was horrible. Thats why I say we must have got the C or D team that night. There is no way a head chef would have plated these dishes, no way that a professionally trained chef would destroy a perfectly good piece of lamb by smothering it in huge chunks of sea salt, and I simply can't believe that a head chef would put so much salt, and huge chunks of it, on a little dab of butter making the eating of it a very unpleasant experience. I had to ask for butter without salt every time they brought more butter. So, the habit of profoundly over salting butter wasn't a mistake, it was repeated purposefully. The unsalted butter was good, sweet as it should be. The scallops were good. The blue corn cornbread was yummy. My kid's dark chocolate tart was to her liking. The coconut sorbet was good, but it was served with what I believe was diced pineapple infused with some liquor or a brandy. The sorbet was good, the pineapple creation was not. There are plenty of positive reviews here. So, I can't figure it out. I have to guess it was the crew in the kitchen that night. I used to bring business associates and friends from all over to have dinner here when they were visiting. I won't be doing that anymore. read more

I just don't understand this city. If you're going to invest in opening a 'fine dining' establishment, do your homework. I know Albuquerque has low standards in general, but mediocre food and bad service is not fine dining. Like everyone else has said, service was deplorable, wait times were ridiculous and I felt the food was overpriced for what was brought to the table. We had the rib eye and lamb. Overcooked but we couldn't get our waiter's attention and had already waited an hour for the food, so we ate what we were served. Guy finally checked in 30 minutes later. Fine dining waitstaff is expected to be attentive, welcoming, accommodating and most of all polite and knowledgable. Unfortunately, I will not be going back to this visually impressive restaurant. They really hit the mark with this mountain top restaurant. We all remember the old restaurant was a bit claustrophobic and no view to the east. The new restaurant feels like a modern testament to how lucky we burque's are to have this mountain towering over our city. You get the amazing Tram Ride views going up and the even more amazing city light views coming down. We ate in fine dining and started with the Ceviche Appetizer which had a little NM twist of green chili. It was a perfectly refreshing start to our meal. It complimented our delicious Alpine Martini. Being carnivores we both ordered the Filet of beef, I honestly have to say this was the best Filet I've ever tasted. The portion was generous as well. For dessert we had (and forgive me I can't recall the exact name of it) a chocolate brownie tamale S'more thing. Anyhow it was delicious with its NM spice touch. Service was great as well. The servers wear a uniform that speaks "We are here to work hard to make your experience as enjoyable as it can be." read more

Beautiful new building, very clean, and great view but that is where the approval of this place ends. The service and policies of this restaurant were evolving between reservation to when we actually showed up such that the menu had changed a bit and prior approval to bring a cake for a party was changed when we arrived. Even getting a reservation with this place was a nightmare, with staff being continually unclear on when we were actually having our reservation and a lack of communication to confirm. Just so you know, even though the Tram owns the restaurant no discount or voucher is provided for dinner reservations and you still pay the full $25 which is a change from the old high finance restaurant that used to be up there. Actual dining was an unfortunate and terrible experience. For a place that is charging $100+/head when you include drinks and the meal, there is so much that you are told that you cannot do to enhance your experience. First, they wont let you bring tables together for large parties - had to argue strongly to make this happen. That was the start of our experience after the cake fiasco, then we got drinks and just about everybody had issues with their drink. Should I mention that they charge $8 for unsweetened tea! I got my drink switched with somebody elses, and people who got dr pepper just made sure that everybody else at the table should try out their disgusting concoction of a drink (which did not taste like dr pepper). Our drink experience ended with me notifying the server that somebody in our party was very unhappy with their drink and he goes on to argue defending the drink. What happened to customer is always right? Then its time for the entrée orders, and should I mention that this place does not carry any dessert of any kind! It was tough to sort through one overpriced item to the next one, but I had settled on their "filet of beef" (which the server said was filet mignon, but who knows) which is their most expensive menu item at $52. This price was just the entrée, and did not include any other parts of a 2 or 3 course meal. All I had wanted to do was substitute one starch for another on the menu and the server let us know that this wasn't possible. At that point everybody at the table had enough and we just ended up clearing the drinks check and leaving. So we went back down on the Tram, and fortunately another restaurant was able to provide the decent experience that we were looking for. read more

Everything about going up to this restaurant was exciting and breathtaking until my girlfriend and I began our dinner at Ten 3. For the price you're paying to have dinner, there doesn't seem to be anything shockingly good to brag about. We ordered the scallops as an appetizer and don't be fooled, the "scallops" plural means only two of them. I know it's a fancy restaurant but you only get two for such an expensive price. Overall the view was our main reason for giving Ten 3 a shot but the food wasn't anything to bring me back for more. Our waiter wasn't bad but we never had our drinks refilled unless we asked. There needs to be something that creates a lasting memory for customers such as soft live music and/or fire pits with outdoor seating. Nothing seemed to wow us or make us wanting to come back again other than the view. Hope these minor setbacks could be worked on soon so we can give them another shot! read more

We were extremely excited to try this place. I made reservations right after they opened for tonight for our anniversary. After taking the tram to get to the restaurant, we arrived ten minutes early for our reservation. We needed to wait an extra 15 minutes for our table. Granted, they were busy and haven't been opened that long we have them the benefit of the doubt. We were seated at our table with a magnificent view. But it was another 10 minutes before someone came to our table to even acknowledge us. And that person was coming by to fill up our water and let us know that someone would be with us shortly. Our waitress finally came by after more of a wait to take our drink order. Only then did we find out that what we wanted they were out of. Then we ordered our food which again were were presently surprised that they were out of aspects of our dishes. We felt VERY rushed and it was just overall an unpleasant experience. This was both mine & my wife's first experience at Ten-3 restaurant. After a two hour wait for tickets and boarding the tram, we were very hungry. The chips with salsa, guacamole, and black bean dip was so fresh. The salsa was probably the best I've tasted since living here. The green chile' Mac & cheese was outstanding. The grape tomatoes on it was a great touch. I was not impressed with the fries though. They were too hard and really did not have any flavor to them. That was the only negative thing about the whole lunch. What made our dinning experience worth while was our server Lorenzo. He was extremely polite and prompt. When we told him about the salsa, he brought us more w/o even asking for it. We asked for our leftovers to be boxed to go and he gave us a small container with some of that salsa in it. I have never had a server, not only be great at his job, but preform such a nice gesture towards me and my wife. Keep up the great work Lorenzo and don't change a thing. read more

when I read about Ten 3 , they said no hats, no Hoodies , up scale dress. we show up according to the rules. guys with hats on , the rest of the people look like they were going to a Hillbilly wedding. they don't serve sweet tea, they have a small selection of mixed drinks. they don't serve any drinks with multiple shots of alcohol . there was a woman with a TANK TOP on , jeans w/ cuts all over. it's more of a beach place with an over priced menu. Food was good , but not for the price I pad. Chairs made of leather on inside, burlap sack on outside ( really ) they try to come across on the web , like there a 5 star restaurant, they barley make a 2 Stay away from the main dinner, eat in the bar. Last evening we went to TEN 3 with another couple. The tram ride was very enjoyable and the atmosphere of both the bar and restaurant were great. The views are second to none! But, we also went for the food, which was okay...at best. Aside from the restaurant/bar being very cold as people left their coats on while seating, the food at the bar was poor. The specialty french fries were under cooked and raw inside, the brussel sprouts were hard and still cold inside, and the chicken was over cooked. The green chili soup was good and the brisket sandwich was excellent. The carrot cake dessert was unremarkable as it was dry and only one layer. In all, if we went to TEN 3 for the restaurant, we'd be very disappointed. If we went for the views, atmosphere, and tram, we be very pleased. This isn't a restaurant that we'd go back to unless they get their kitchen where it should be. read more

The food was good. The views are spectacular. The service was disappointing. Took a good 40 minutes to get our drinks. The server took the appetizer away before we were done. Be sure to double check your tab. We were overcharged for the bottle of wine. All new restaurants have growing pains but, over charging is not acceptable. read more

Good service at the bar and friendly staff. However, me and my bud ordered appetizers, nothing crazy, essentially cold dishes. He got the antipasto and I got the oysters on the half shell. Honestly, it wasn't super busy and approximately 35 to 40 minutes, we still hadn't received our dishes, so we just cancelled our orders, paid for our drinks and left. After hearing all the excitement from the locals on how this place opened back up after being closed for two years, I am somewhat disappointed in the overall execution of the kitchen staff. read more

Tried to go on a Saturday night but could not actually get there. Got to the tram base and the wait was an hour, in spite of having restaurant reservations. For all my effort, I was rewarded with a three dollar parking nonrefundable fee. This is a for-profit business and they sure are letting me know it. I guess I'll go in the middle of winter on a Wednesday sometime. Definitely not worth the tram fee and the extensive wait. read more
