When I was walking to Prospect Park, I stumbled onto this tiny nook on 7th ave. The decor was very minimalistic and inviting. Since there aren't many go-to spots for ramen in the Park Slope neighborhood, I thought I'd give it a try. The lunch set comes with one appetizer and one ramen bowl for $15. I got the Tenichi ramen, which had pork chashu, an egg, bok choy, and pork broth. Instead of the pork dumplings or buns, I went for the chicken wings in Teriyaki sauce. Have to say it's a steal for the price. The wings were crunchy, with the right about of sweet in the sauce. The ramen was served fresh and pipping hot. The broth complemented the flavors of the bok choy, and the pork chashu literally melted in my mouth. If you like your ramen on the spicey side, the place provides you with ample amounts of hot sauce. Overall, I would definitely go back for round #2. A very good bowl of ramen (I ordered the ten ichi bowl). Salty, rich, fatty, and a decent value compared to other high end ramen places. The noodles have an okay texture, but are thin and al dente rather than chewy. The toppings aren't too special: very soft, almost too fatty chashu pork, a normal softboiled egg and some veggies. They have an amazing hot chili oil with great garlic flavor that adds a lot to a good broth, and it's a must try. Service was pretty friendly, but there was a long wait because of take-out orders even though the place itself was pretty empty for 5PM. The ramen broth was great - the pork was wonderful, fatty & juicy. (I'd had ippido ramen the week before and their pork was dry!) The egg was OK - a little past done. The hot sake (I think it was 5$ ) very good. Here's my beef - I didn't love the noodles, they were thin and kind a blah. It would be so awesome if you could choose different types of noodles. Ten-Ichi is a great lunchtime ramen shop! Their special includes a full-sized ramen portion with an additional side for the same price as an entree. I got the pork gyoza (3 pieces) with the Tne-Ichi ramen for $13 in early October, 2016. The dining room is cramped and they can't accommodate very many people at once. The potstickers were delicious! 3 pieces weren't enough and I considered ordering more, but then the ramen came out. The ramen was very well prepared, with the broth being the highlight of the bowl. The noodles are slightly thinner than any other ramen I've had, but had a good bite to it and was still a great noodle. The bowl came with ample pork belly and a near perfect 6 minute egg. The egg might've been marinated a bit too long, as the edge of the yold was starting to solidify were the marinade penetrated the most. Japanese-only beer selection (I think) and a few sakes to choose from. Overall, Ten-Ichi has their act together when it comes to ramen. Service was also great. It's my Brooklyn ramen spot when I don't go to tHe city or queens. They only take cash so have some one you when you get there and if not they have an atm machine in the restaurant. Love their appetizers the rock shrimp and vegetable tempura, yummy, especially the sauce they offer with it. The interior has a wall of ramen bowls on the wall (very decorative). Like most ramen places I've been to it's small, with big dishes so come hungry. Just be sure to check when they are open because they do close for dinner prep and or lunch. Pretty darn good! We were very excited to see the sign go up on this new ramen shop and finally just made it for a visit. We went for lunch, so presumably we had the delight of the base from the previous night to enjoy, which suited us well. We like our broth on the thicker, saltier end of the ramen spectrum and we weren't disappointed. The Miso charshu ramen was nicely viscous without being overly rich, and it was a perfect foil for the well cooked traditional ramen noodles. Two minor complaints: the kimchi needs to be bolder. It was more like mildly marinated cabbage than that traditional fermented treat. The menma and the kimchi were served cold, and the broth itself wasn't as hot as I'm used to, so there were some weird temperature things going on in the bowl. Other complaint - didn't see a line item for tea, so I assumed it was free as it is in most ramen places. It wasn't - $3 is a bit steep, particularly since it was served in a terrible cup. A cup that was so hot to the touch that I could barely hold the tea, much less drink it. Just a design flaw on the cup, but a bit of a ramen foul on the tea expense. I may have missed it mentioned on the menu, but i looked carefully and don't think it was listed. All in all, we're happy to have a totally decent ramen spot in Park Slope when we need a quick weekday fix. Glad they are open for lunch. read more

Pleasantly surprised by this ramen joint - was expecting something mediocre along the lines of Ramen Setagaya and Misoya but it was not bad indeed. Nothing near the greats of NYC (Nakamura, EAK, MR. No frills place to get your ramen fix - you get exactly what you ask for here. The space is small but cozy and the service is friendly and helpful. The gyoza are good. Warm, soft, and well-seasoned, which is almost everything you could ask for in an appetizer. I got the chicken ramen, which was the perfect portion for me. It was so filling, and the broth so rich, that I feel like I might have even been able to skip the appetizer. Best of all, instead of that sort of dehydrated feeling you often get after drinking ramen broth, which is admittedly very heavy on the sodium, this ramen broth left you feeling good. This has to be the worst Ramen I've ever had. When I ordered Ramen to go it was like a prepackaged Ramen Where they separated Ramen from broth. The broth that they gave me barely had any taste and was warm not hot, also served in a plastic Tupperware. Then the Ramen itself the noodles were super hard the chicken I had no seasoning the egg was like pre-prepared it was so gross everything about this was really bad. Do not recommend they do not make you fresh Ramen on the spot everything is pre-cooked and prepackaged like it's a fast food restaurant or like a frozen food section. Very good ramen. I had the Miso Charshu ramen and crab shumai. The ramen was flavorful and the mixture of ingredients gave the dish great texture. The charshu was well braised as well a little smoky in taste. Broth was well done, nice and rich without being too overpowering. Kimchee could be a bit more sour and the overall soup was not as spicy as I had hoped. The shumai was well prepared and used fresh crab, however it lacked flavor. The shumai could have used a bit more seasoning. The dish relied too much on the sauce (which some people may think is too spicy). Just my opinion: shumai and gyoza should be able to hold on their own with out reliance on the sauce. I would also offer a savory sauce as an alternative to those who do not like spicy. Overall, food came quickly, service was good and food was excellent (except a couple criticisms). Would go back to try other dishes. read more
