Chef creations delighted me - he made choices in pairings with fish I hadn't experienced before and each bite was a new interesting discovery. Also, my waiter Ross was incredibly attentive and thorough in his stellar service. I highly recommend Yellowtail! Went in on my actual 50th birthday before a Stars game and chose to sit at the sushi bar (which is normal for me as I love to watch the chef work). My server's name was Ross and he was quite engaging, seemed to truly care about my experience, and had helpful suggestions. The food was superbly created and curated with choices beyond the 95% of sushi restaurants, prepared in new and fresh ways I truly hadn't seen before that made flavor combinations exciting. Then, the surprise birthday dessert with a candle! And, yeah, got to go to the Stars game right after which we won so a pretty gosh darn good birthday -Tait

It was a hit or miss experience for our dining party. We were in town on business during the cold snap just after Valentine's Day. We had a two person serving crew of a male and a female. Our take away was that the male was "training" the female. He was a dud and a not great so I am not sure why his "talent" was being passed along. We had a variety of rolls and nigiri... the nigiri was stale, old and smelly. We shared this with the male server- he was disinterested and still charge us for the pieces we sent back without eating- all of them.

Sushi was fresh - their nigiri is a must try! You cannot go wrong with either the salmon or the tuna. Food came out quickly once ordered. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I also really enjoyed the decorations and general vibe of the place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Now this was an experience! The sushi was insanely delicious! Probably the best I've ever tasted! The service was incredible! They didn't let my drink get empty once!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was so chic & niche. I absolutely loved how nice everything was![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] 10/10 would absolutely come back here again! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Music kinda sounded like a nail salon but that's ok- can live with that.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Good everyday sushi sort of spot. Parking garage is free for 2 hours. Portions are pretty big. What we got in order of what we liked best: Crispy rice with spicy tuna Konojo Tokyo roll

Two pieces of HH salmon nigiri. $4 each.

Fish is just okay - had the salmon nigiri and the crispy rice tuna...would not order either again. Fish is NOT fresh. The service was excellent and the space is beautiful...they completely remodeled from the previous restaurant. I will give it a whirl again, just not for the food.

Food: Espresso Martini - It was good, very sweet. Spicy Edamame - It's actually spicy which I loved. Tokyo Roll - We got the mustard soy sauce on the side because I was questioning it, but it ended up being good. The roll itself was pretty average, but the sauce was good. Sunrise Roll - My favorite out all of the rolls that was ordered. The spicy ponzu sauce was the best part! Very much tied it altogether. Las Vegas Roll - I don't usually like fried rolls, but this was surprisingly good! Scallop Volcano Roll - Tasted great! The sautéed mushrooms and scallops tasted amazing. Service: Our server was great! He provided many recommendations and made funny comments. It was very enjoyable to have him especially since we were on our first date. Ambiance: It was classy and nice. We went around 4-5 PM on Sunday when the weather was not the finest, so we were the first ones there. It's very spacious and clean.

Was very skeptical of this restaurant, but I am happy that they exceeded expectations!! We had the chicken karaage to start, lychee martinis, cosmos, an assortment of rolls and I ordered one piece of scallop (hotate) nigiri. I thought the pricing was standard for victory park, and the scallop was so fresh and rather large! Good ambiance, I enjoyed sitting in the booth with my girls. Service was attentive, we were given a free bottle of sake at the end! Would definitely return.

This place is new on the block but it's in a great location and has amazing dishes. The service here was great and the ambiance at the bar is the perfect setting for first dates or meetups with the boys before a Mavs game. They have a decent Saki Collection and the signature rolls were delicious!

Yellowtail sushi is a recurring date night spot. The food is consistently amazing, I highly recommend the lychee martini for those who drink. The service is always above and beyond. Salmon killer is my favorite roll, but any roll you get will be perfect. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also play the best music here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's never too busy or crowded, but also not too empty. It's just perfect.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'd 10/10 recommend this restaurant for a nice dinner.

We invited a couple for dinner to celebrate their wedding we weren't able to attend. They are foodies, so we thought to try something different. The bread that looked amazing tasted like cardboard. The Hummus was terrible, and we are pretty snobby in the Mediterranean department. The Cesar Salad was good. Then the food came out. The seabass had to be sent back once, the second time our friend just dealt with it. I had the rack of lamb, which I get often. Awful flavor and strange celery mix underneath. The guys got Cowboy Ribeyes. My husband ate his because he hadn't eaten all day. He said, he couldn't make a better steak. Our friend had ONE BITE and didn't touch it after that. They bagged it up for him, and he left it behind. A $78 steak, not even touched. The mashed potatoes were great actually. Brussel Sprouts were the worst I've ever tasted. I think the poor server saw we weren't enjoying dinner and brought us out a complimentary chocolate tart, said to celebrate their married couple. It too was not good. Most everything was left half eaten or barely touched. I've never felt like I just threw $500 in the trash can, as I did last night. The food looked good (as shown in the pictures below, but don't be fooled) Complete disappointment. I say this as someone who worked for a restaurant group of high end restaurants for many years.

Theirs was the perfect consistency and had hummus at the bottom, which was interesting and tasty. The scallops were really well seasoned and perfectly cooked. I wish it came accompanied by stuff I wanted to eat, but that was fine. Cario, the bartender, took great care of me while I ate. The espresso martini he made was phenomenal! He made a good old fashioned as well. The complimentary champagne started out my evening beautifully. I'd go back next time I'm in Dallas.

Often times after it's all said & done, you wonder - was that worth it? Thankfully, that is NOT the experience I had at Haywire! I ate here on August 9th, 2025 and enjoyed everything about it. I was with a large party but would love to return for a more intimate experience. On this Saturday, my younger cousin was graduating from Parker University so I was in town for the weekend. At around 1pm, I was one of the first to arrive at the restaurant. Unfortunately the parking is a bit confusing. There was construction being done on the same street when I went but there's a parking garage for customers that's difficult to navigate AND the elevator that connects wasn't operating at the time which was an issue for many (but not me, I got a good spot & walked). My party hadn't all arrived yet so I took a gander. Upon entering the tall doors, the space breathes southwestern elegance: wooden structure, leather seating, separate dining areas with highlighted ranch-style art. The abundance of space gives it an open-concept feel. The lighting fixtures are modern, the space was dim but not too low, with an option to utilize the large windows also. I was quiet impressed at the overall presentation. When my party did arrive, I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and a Hibiscus Haze with Vodka. The table shmoozed as we ate some of the appetizers: the Crab Dip & Green Tomatoes, both amazing. The food did take some time but, considering it was 10-12 of us, that's expected. The Hibiscus Haze was splendid: smooth & flavorful, a great concoction. Cobb salads are usually pretty thick but this one was HEARTY. It came in a large bowl stuffed with the all the toppings. The dressing it was tossed with was well balanced but could've used a tad bit more. With some pepper & a little ranch, I was set! I defeated the salad but it also left me stuffed to the gills. Satisfying meal that I would order again! There are tons of restaurants to dine at in Dallas & sometimes you never know which is worth your time. Despite the inconvenience of parking, I'd bet my bottom dollar that this is a good place to eat. Whether you want a fine dining experience, it's a special occasion or just want a good drink with a meal, Haywire has enough to satisfy all interests.

WILL NEVER BE BACK!…read more HATED. EVERY. MOMENT. OF. THIS. PISS. POOR. EXPERIENCE. EVERY. SINGLE. MOMENT. VALET. NOT. FREE. I called before deciding where to eat on a Sunday afternoon to confirm parking situations. Parking is not easy downtown so this played a huge factor in figuring where, out of the dozens of brunch places, to eat. Definitely a bit of a walk to get accommodated at the actual restaurant so valet seemed the most reasonably enticing for parking solutions. Well, I called and spoke with the lady at the front desk. I confirmed with this little girl FOUR TIMES IF 1. They had valet available today 2. If it was complimentary. Come to find out it was not complimentary. And $7 for parking just doesn't sit well with me when there are ample free options else where with satisfying beverage, meal, ambiance, and service. All of which, I DID NOT GET AT HAYWIRE. I come in and although I had a reservation that I was 10 minutes early for while noticing tables available, I was told by that same girl who lied to me about parking I needed to take a seat. Reassuring me that it would only take two minutes to be seated. 10 minutes later I see coupled and groups walking in and guess what? They were immediately sat. While I am waiting to be sat at one of the three clean tables I'm staring at. I finally tell my boyfriend I am about to eat at the bar and he goes to the hostess stand to inform them our frustration and guess what? We were sat immediately. I get seated and there are two standing fans placed next to my table that's blowing my hair all over the f*****g place. I had to tell them to turn them off. What? No AC in this place either?? We immediately ordered and got the elk tacos for an appetizer. The tacos are WAY too spicy and way too salty. Too spicy AND too salty?? They're a no for me. You literally can't taste anything because of both! I HATED these little tacos. Probably the worst I've ever had. Ever seen someone attempt to pinch a bit of salt to season and the entire top comes off?? These tacos. My boyfriend had the chicken fried steak. He loved it (loves spicy and seasonings because he's Cajun) but I tried it and it was over seasoned. Again? Couldn't taste what I was eating. The mashed potatoes were divine. Enjoyed those! And then the green beans were tasteless. Hahaha what a joke. I ordered the barbacoa chilaquiles and it was literally too spicy to eat. Inedible. My eyes teared up, my nose started running, and I couldn't taste anything after a couple bites of the spice. I was so f*****g over this place I just ate my boyfriend's mashed potatoes and we left. If I had it my way, I wouldn't have paid for a thing here. They don't deserve our money and I HATE they got a cent from me. I'm livid. I hate this place W I L L N E V E R B E B A C K

Upon entering you're met with dim lights, deep burgundy leather seats and images of musicians painted in every corner. The restaurant is absolutely stunning! Our table wasn't quite ready so we were asked to wait at the bar for short while. We started the celebration early by ordering a few drinks and by the time they arrived, our table was ready. We were lead to a large half moon shaped booth nestled in the corner; which was large and plush. Plenty of room for us four and honestly at least two more people. On our table was a place card that said Happy Birthday to my partner which was a nice touch. Our waitress arrived and very pleasant and helpful. She asked if we had questions and gave us some highlights of the menu. We ordered another round along with Meatballs Troubadour, the Heavenly Sourdough and Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice. The Heavenly Sourdough and Meatballs Troubadour were absolutely the stars of the show! The meatballs were flavorful and juicy. The marinara sauce paired wonderfully with the sourdough. For entrees, Dry-Aged Delmonico, Pomme Puree, Crispy Brussels, Honey Truffle Chicken and Whole Lobster Spaghetti. All the food was divine! To wrap it all up we of course ordered the 24 layer strawberry cake. The cake was bought out with a candle and 4 glasses of bubbly which was a very nice treat. Drake's met all my expectations and more. A huge thank you to the manager stopping by to make sure all was well throughout our meal. We were told we had to place our entire order at once, and despite our reservation noting that we were celebrating a birthday, he never acknowledged it or even asked if we were celebrating a special occasion. When we mentioned it ourselves, he didn't respond at all. While returning from the restroom (which was also uncomfortably hot and stuffy), I spoke with the manager, Jason, about our experience and asked if we could switch servers. Thankfully, Vlad, who had been serving nearby tables, took over our table. He was a complete turnaround. Vlad was personable, energetic, attentive, and provided the level of hospitality we expected. He truly saved what he could of the experience. Our group spent over $750 on food and drinks. The appetizers and sides were excellent and easily the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the entrees didn't live up to the same standard. One steak was overcooked and had to be sent back. By the time the replacement arrived, everyone else had already finished eating. The Salmon Diane was also dry and overcooked. To end the night, while we were waiting for our checks to be processed, Jason came over and told us the next reservation had arrived and that we needed to leave. We explained that we were simply waiting to pay, yet no effort was made to speed up the process by collecting our payment or offering to run the checks. It felt rushed and incredibly inhospitable, especially after everything that had already gone wrong. The only reasons this review isn't one star are Vlad and the excellent appetizers and sides. We've dined at many high-end restaurants, and this was by far one of the most disappointing service experiences we've had, especially for a special celebration. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.
