    Shrimp yakisoba
    Dave P.

So, I didn't have a good experience here. I understand the young girl was probably a post covid hire but geez. First, I walked in and ordered yakisoba. I asked for a combo of steak, shrimp and scallops. She said she couldn't sell it like that so I settled for just shrimp. Figured it'd be as easy as a price upgrade but whatever. Shrimp was good but the noodles had an odd taste which needed to be drowned out with yum yum sauce. Maybe it was the overload of carrots, possibly bitter. Then, I asked if the iced tea was working. She said she didn't know but she would think so. I ordered an unsweet tea. It tasted horrific. I asked the girl for a new cup to get a soda and she said I needed to pay for a new cup. I kindly explained the tea didn't taste good and she insisted I buy another. I said, "your tea is bad, it tastes horrible." She turned and asked the cook if she could give me another one. He said yes so she did after a 3rd attempt. I got an obvious eye roll from the lady waiting for food as well. Food from other locations is what you would expect. If I did come back, I would go to another location. This one was not at all one that I would recommend. Customer service 101...

This is my first meal in Raleigh. Fried noodles are very good and healthy, but the shrimp are very salty.

Pleasantly surprised with this place, wish I wouldn't have waited so long to try this place. I will defiantly be back to try some other options. Very friendly staff and the seating area was kept very clean.

It just opened, I think. I ordered the wrong thing, I think. Tenko Japan has had some great Yelp reviews in their other locations, so I was looking forward to something good here. I was disappointed. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't memorable. So the sign says "now open" but I don't know how long it's been there. Perhaps it's because they just opened and are still getting into the routine. Perhaps I ordered the wrong thing. That's a lot of "perhaps'" but I can't reconcile the build up to the reality. Perhaps I shouldn't do that, either. I ordered the chicken bowl, the "Yummi" chicken bowl designated with the "spicy" label. Along with that I also ordered the crab rangoon. The chicken bowl was big for what I thought would be a small portion. I was okay with that. The broccoli and mushrooms were good, not overcooked and still held their flavor. The chicken was neither spicy nor good. It was dry and almost inedible. Not even the hot sauce, soy sauce, or even the mustard did anything to rescue it. The rice was ...well ... rice, so I can't find fault with it. Maybe the secret is to order from the hibachi menu or the sushi menu. The crab rangoon, probably the unhealthiest thing on the menu, was good. I guess the unhealthiest stuff is usually good because you know you shouldn't but do anyway. So despite the mixed results, Tenko Japan is an okay option for the Crossroads area. It's always good to have food choices when you've been spending your money shopping in the nearby stores.

Listen.....I live in California now and every time I come home I come here!!! Oh my goodness I wish they had it back where I live now. This place is insanely good and prices are excellent!!! The quality of food and service is top notch!!! I always get the steak habachi plate and I'm never disappointed! I highly recommend giving this a place to try if your craving a habachi. It's fast service also!

Dirt (or something else) in Hibachi Vegetable.

This was in my hibachi vegetable dish. Not sure if it's dirt or some sort of hair. Previously had very gritty vegetables that made me think they aren't properly washed but this confirms it.

By far the best hibachi for the price I have been able to find in the Raleigh/Cary area. Highly recommend.

While the food was delicious, what stood out most was the teamwork among the staff. My water glass never sat empty, and sauces/sides were always replenished without us having to ask. The ambiance was relaxing, welcoming, and perfect for a casual meal. It's also very kid friendly, which I appreciated. I can't wait to bring my little one on our next visit. I came here when I was visiting my in laws, so naturally, I wanted to expose them to KBBQ. Unfortunately, I picked this place because a lot of reviews said its the best and allat, when in truth, this place is one of the worst KBBQ I have ever visited. Not only they stopped serving lettuce wrap (sure, they have it in the menu but they didn't stock it because their lettuce supplier increased the price or whatever), they did not offer any other wrap options like a decent kbbq should have (rice wrap, radish wrap, or shisho leave...etc). The meat quality? It's the cheapest cut you could ever get. The kalbi cut is so thin and tasted old (spoiler alert, they should be thicker and higher quality..), the other unseasoned meat cut is lower quality too. The seasoned meat were so bad I had hard time enjoying it. The bulgogi did not taste like a propee bulgogi and once again, tasted old like it has been in the fridge for too long. The spicy bulgogi was so grainy and not spicy at all, almost like they're using low quality gochugaru. Honestly, you will be much better off buying your own ingredients at h-mart or any asian grocery than going to this place. The only saving grace was the kind server who tends us often. 10/10 will not recommend.

Noodle Blvd is located in a spot that you could easily miss, but it's easy to get back on track. I pulled into the gas station parking lot beside the restaurant, then just turned right into the restaurant parking lot. The parking lot is fairly small, so be warned about that. My friend was there when I arrived, and he sat at the bar. When I walked in the door, I was greeted with smiles and waves. It was very inviting, which is fitting for a ramen restaurant. My friend ordered us Lychee Margaritas, and oh my goodness, it was so good! We decided to visit right at opening on a Saturday, so the bartender was still preparing some of the ingredients needed for the margarita. The bartender informed us that it's usually better once a key ingredient sits for a while, but I loved the drink regardless. I ordered edamame for an appetizer, which came quickly and was good! Since I've never had ramen before, I asked our server what he recommended, and he told me about some of their most popular dishes. He told me the N9. Chicken Curry Ramen was a favorite of his and the patrons, so I decided to order that. It came quickly, and I was immediately in HEAVEN upon my first bite. I loved every bite after! I decided to play it safe with the spice and got level 2, but I can definitely go up a level or 2 since I love spicy. Highly recommend, and I will be back! Worth the drive from Clayton, where I live.

The short rib ramen was good, but the noodles were short, like they were cut or made short on purpose. The shrimp shumai was disappointing. Small bite sized portions, but they were soft. After cutting into one, I found out that they use rice as a filler with a bit of shrimp. I've never seen rice used in shumai, unless it's Shanghai sticky rice shumai. Also got a unagi don togo, it was good, just a bit small on the portion of eel, but it's hard to mess up an unagi don.

The chef curates a multi course and highly personalized tasting menu. My wife and I had the pleasure to partake in this unbelievable experience for our 21st anniversary, and it was hands down one of the best meals we've ever had. Not this month, not just sushi, not just in NC...but one of the top meals of all time anywhere. We had the Grand Omakase, which came out to 10 courses in total. I won't go into detail on each and every course, but let's just say that each and every course was of the highest quality fish, sushi or meat we've had anywhere. From the sushi flown out straight from Japan, to the beluga caviar and A5 Wagyu, and everything in between. We've had sushi across the nation and overseas, 100s of times. This has taken the top #1 spot out of all of them, especially with what we were served in the Grand Omakase package. Impeccable service, 8 sushi chefs all working efficiently at once in an open style sushi kitchen, all within a classy (but not pretentious by any means) establishment. The Grand Omakase package here is one of those bucket list items for anyone who loves sushi, top shelf meats and fish, and enjoys a high level foodie experience.

The broth had great depth, the spice provided a nice kick, loved all the different toppings but I do think there could have been more pork. - Tonkatsu Ramen (Signature rich pork broth, pork belly, bamboo shoot, wood ear mushroom, green onion, 1/2 seasoned soft-boiled egg, thin straight noodles): Same great broth as the tan tan, chashu was perfectly fatty and tender, liked all the toppings again. The noodles themselves didn't really stand out to me. - Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box (Dashimaki, shrimp shumai, salad, pickles, rice, miso soup): Ehh... this was fine, but I'd definitely skip it next time. For the price, the quantity and quality of everything but maybe the chicken (which was smoky but way too sweet) was lackluster. - Chicken Curry Don (Panko breaded chicken cutlet, Japanese-style curry sauce, potato, carrot, onion, nori): The chicken was crispy, but quantity was so small. Curry was tasty, but inadequately warmed. - Raindrop (Plant-based ice jelly, brown sugar syrup, soybean powder): Such a unique dessert- ofc the visual is great, but the texture was interesting and it was subtly sweet too.
