Lizzy was our bartender--super friendly, made excellent recommendations, and handled our group like a pro. She was especially patient with Marsh, who had a real gift for asking the most awkward questions. We both walked away with a bottle of the kettlecorn whiskey--it was that good. Not too sweet, with a subtle saltiness that really nailed the kettle corn vibe. Also, shoutout to the master distiller for the cool 3D-printed props on display--seriously impressive. The rules: you get 8 small tastings (total 1.5 shots), no sharing, no repeats. So I tried the below: * Coffee moonshine was amazing! My favorite! Tasted like a light espresso drink with no alcohol taste! * Peppermint Mocha cream liquor was weak on mint but strong on chocolate. * Pineapple rum was standard flavored rum, enjoyable! * Salted Caramel whiskey was good and had a nice sweet flavor. * Smoked Apple was flavorful in apple but lacking the smoke flavor. * Orange creamsicle moonshine was gross, it was citrusy (but like a raw flavor not a fine tuned flavor) and not creamy. * Blackberry moonshine was weak on flavor. * PB Cup Whiskey had a gritty taste kind of like just eating the peanut butter insides of a Reese's cup. read more

Was closeby our hotel and we wanted to give a local distillery a try. This was a fun place to stop and you could try a pretty good amount of what they had to offer. You could have up to 8 small samples but they did say you couldn't share with anyone else. Between my husband and I, we tried at least 2/3 of the offerings. Man, I really enjoyed the flavored whiskeys, moonshine and creams. There was so much I wanted to take with that I needed to inquire if they ship. The only disappointment in that was they had a new cream that wasn't available to ship, which I didn't know until after we got home. Oh well, there was plenty to still get. Tennessee Legend is my favorite distillery in the area. The staff is very friendly & very informative. They have a nice selection of whiskey & moonshine. You're allowed to sample up to 5 different selections. My favorite is Salted Caramel whiskey. If you're in the area it's a must that you check this place out. read more

We hit a few distilleries on our Tennessee visit and this by far was the oddest. The guy doing our tasting was brash and very off putting. There were absolutely things i would have purchased but he didnt make me feel very welcomed in the space at all. The space is adorable and lends itself to some really cute photo opportunities and the shine wasnt bad. There were a couple of flavors i was really excited to try. Too bad staff made it slightly unpleasant. As soon as the tasting was done we hightailed it out to the next place who were much more welcoming and happy to see us come. read more

Solid product. I really enjoyed my tasting with Brian. They have a vast array of choosings. My favorites were easily the cream based liqueurs, however, the whiskeys are also really good as well. Everything is reasonably priced for the product you're tasting. I feel their product offers a better variety than a lot of other moonshine places in the area. I say this understanding there are several that I enjoy, but this is in the top 3 for my desired moonshine locations. They do more than just moonshine - they also offer - whiskey, cream liqueur, and vodka. Customer service is always nice and enjoyable. I like how they are hospitable and not trying to put on a show. You're going to get more of a local feel than if you were to go to Old Smoky or Sugarland. I enjoy those places, but I appreciate the authentic locale of this environment. We had an amazing time! We were welcomed in the the tasting room and were able to sample different spirits. Everyone was super friendly and Roscoe (our black lab) basked in the attention. After buying a few bottles to take back to Georgia with us we went next door to have some lunch. I walked into the Tennesse Legend Distillery and I was in heaven. Sweet Tennesse whiskey! I met Brian and told me that it was 8 free shots. He told me to start from left to right as a picked my drinks. So I did! I had a few samples and my favorate was the favorite peanut butter whiskey. Brian mixed that peanut butter whiskey with so many different variations, all were awesome. You tasted the chocolate flavor in the rear of the palette. This was the 2nd distillery that I've tried during my time in TN and out of the 2, this one was my favorite. I enjoyed pretty much everything I tasted but my favorites definitely were the blackberry whiskey and creme brulee liqueur. Not only were all the liquors good but the staff were very welcoming and friendly. I believe the manager assisted us with our tasting and he was awesome. They have some cool souvenirs for sale in addition to the liquor. Definitely recommend if you're ever in the area. read more

I stopped by here on my way into pigeon forge since I was on vacation. The words free tastings and moonshine caught the eyes of me and my group. Unfortunately during my trip, we didn't go to ole Smokey since pigeon forge and Gatlinburg apparently don't think there is a pandemic going on (no tourist is wearing a mask or distancing). This place had delicious moonshine, but also whiskeys, liquors, and much more. The entire experience here was a blast. So many options to choose from and the best part was the service. What a warm welcome into Tennessee by the bartender (I don't know her name). But everyone seemed high energy and like they loved their job. Came in here on a Friday and had a great experience! I was looking for something specific, which they didn't have, but Ryan was so amazing in explaining what they did have! He went through and explained how their selection was set up in sections - whiskeys, rums, moonshine, etc. He also explained that we could taste up to 8 drinks (mini shots) for free. He went through all the flavors and had some great suggestions for us. I was nervous of the tastings thinking back to my younger self when I could handle clear moonshine straight but Ryan was very understanding and explained it's best to smell it, take the full shot and swallow it so you'll truly taste the taste and you won't feel the alcohol as much- I know it sounds strange but he was 100% correct! He also asked what our favorites were and what we liked and gave us a shot of our favorite mixed with something else to make it taste even more amazing. Overall Ryan truly made the great experience even better and walked us through the entire process and was so friendly and welcoming! We bought 6 bottles and 4 engraved glasses. Went here during a little day trip to the town of Sevierville and this is a good place to stop by for a "bit" of sampling of their whiskeys, moonshine or liquors as they had plenty to taste from. I stopped in to do a little shopping and check out the historical section being created. I was the ONLY person wearing a mask. I went to buy something and when I requested the employee put on a mask, I was told it's their choice so no. They clearly don6care about their health. Nice stop with plenty of room to taste and shop. I only tasted the peanut butter cup because it was 10:30 in the morning and more seemed ridiculous. Great flavor and very unusual. Prices are more reasonable than Old Forge and in line with the other distilleries in the area. Large selection of liquor types and merch, felt like a Cracker Barrel. Staff was knowledge and friendly. Great experience. Also nice that you can taste one flavor and not have to commit to a 30 minute sideshow like Gatlinburg. read more

Everyone in the store was welcoming and friendly. Probably had one of the best vodkas I've had from a small distillery. To be honest I enjoyed this place the best over others. I highly recommend visiting them. Oh and if you are a food allergy sufferer they are up front about allergens with every bottle marked.
