The lowdown: Interesting place to visit! Be prepared to try lots different types of moonshine. Unfortunately I waited so long to write the review that my memory has failed me but the one thing I do remember is this is a great place to check out, especially if moonshine is your thing!

Awesome! So many choices! Staff was brilliant and fun when helping with the tasting. The size of the tasting was great too. Highly recommend stopping here. Fun atmosphere

Was closeby our hotel and we wanted to give a local distillery a try. This was a fun place to stop and you could try a pretty good amount of what they had to offer. You could have up to 8 small samples but they did say you couldn't share with anyone else. Between my husband and I, we tried at least 2/3 of the offerings. Man, I really enjoyed the flavored whiskeys, moonshine and creams. There was so much I wanted to take with that I needed to inquire if they ship. The only disappointment in that was they had a new cream that wasn't available to ship, which I didn't know until after we got home. Oh well, there was plenty to still get. Staff was friendly and they had other fun stuff to purchase, outside of the booze.

Tennessee Legend is my favorite distillery in the area. The staff is very friendly & very informative. They have a nice selection of whiskey & moonshine. You're allowed to sample up to 5 different selections. My favorite is Salted Caramel whiskey. If you're in the area it's a must that you check this place out.

FREE TASTINGS (up to 6 items) and $5 cocktails! What else can you ask for? Easy to get to this distillery off the highway, and they are open late (until 10 pm when I went). Forgot to get a gift for a friend or family member? Come pick up something here! Customer service is outstanding. They have moonshine, whiskey, egg nog vodka etc. I got a watermelon moonshine to take home for my sister. It was well priced at $28 for 750 mL. A quick stop but well worth it!

We love the king snake bourbon so we came in to get some more bottles but we left with a new friend! Douté was SOOO nice and friendly. I'm hoping she's still here when we come back in December! Great experience and it makes a world of difference when you have a fun bartender.

Had the best night there! This is a must! Oyr fav was the Creme Brulee. We had a new girl. She has been there for only two weeks and did a phenomenal job and also got to see the last person that we did our tasting with just over a year ago!

Definitely was worth checking out! Bought a bottle of their peanut butter whiskey it is sooo delicious. Played "whiskey bingo" they call it to try the different flavors. Staff friendly and cool merch to boot.

We hit a few distilleries on our Tennessee visit and this by far was the oddest. The guy doing our tasting was brash and very off putting. There were absolutely things i would have purchased but he didnt make me feel very welcomed in the space at all. The space is adorable and lends itself to some really cute photo opportunities and the shine wasnt bad. There were a couple of flavors i was really excited to try. Too bad staff made it slightly unpleasant. As soon as the tasting was done we hightailed it out to the next place who were much more welcoming and happy to see us come.

Solid product. I really enjoyed my tasting with Brian. They have a vast array of choosings. My favorites were easily the cream based liqueurs, however, the whiskeys are also really good as well. Everything is reasonably priced for the product you're tasting. I feel their product offers a better variety than a lot of other moonshine places in the area. I say this understanding there are several that I enjoy, but this is in the top 3 for my desired moonshine locations. They do more than just moonshine - they also offer - whiskey, cream liqueur, and vodka. Customer service is always nice and enjoyable. I like how they are hospitable and not trying to put on a show. You're going to get more of a local feel than if you were to go to Old Smoky or Sugarland. I enjoy those places, but I appreciate the authentic locale of this environment. Worth stopping at when passing through.

We had an amazing time! We were welcomed in the the tasting room and were able to sample different spirits. Everyone was super friendly and Roscoe (our black lab) basked in the attention. After buying a few bottles to take back to Georgia with us we went next door to have some lunch. We were seated out side on the patio where we enjoyed some craft beers and amazing appetizers and pizza. We will definitely stop by again next time through! Super dog friendly!

I walked into the Tennesse Legend Distillery and I was in heaven. Sweet Tennesse whiskey! I met Brian and told me that it was 8 free shots. He told me to start from left to right as a picked my drinks. So I did! I had a few samples and my favorate was the favorite peanut butter whiskey. Brian mixed that peanut butter whiskey with so many different variations, all were awesome. You tasted the chocolate flavor in the rear of the palette. Watch the video and Brian will tell you one of his mxtures. Hey, whenever in Seirville/Pigeon Forge, Tn come to Tennessee Legend Distillery.

    Souvenirs

This was the 2nd distillery that I've tried during my time in TN and out of the 2, this one was my favorite. I enjoyed pretty much everything I tasted but my favorites definitely were the blackberry whiskey and creme brulee liqueur. Not only were all the liquors good but the staff were very welcoming and friendly. I believe the manager assisted us with our tasting and he was awesome. They have some cool souvenirs for sale in addition to the liquor. Definitely recommend if you're ever in the area.

Maybe "pet tolerant", but not "friendly": - hostess was visibly & audibly afraid of dogs. We have two sweet chocolate labs, not exactly menacing creatures. Why in the world would you send a dog-fearing employee to get us seated? - we expected an offer of a water bowl for our pups. Nope. Had to find a server and ask for one. - the outdoor area we sat at is enclosed & gated. A door separates this outdoor area from the inside dining room. In spite of this, 10 minutes after being seated, a separate employee came out and simply said "do yall have leashes?" 1- of course we do, you saw us walk them in. 2- no greeting or "hey, I'm blah blah"... cold & impersonal. 3- why bother with the cost of a gated enclosure if pets have to be leashed anyway? We've been to many pet-friendly restaurants. You are NOT pet-friendly. You happily took our money for the meal, and added a 20% gratuity yourselves (which was not earned btw), but you barely did enough to accommodate our pups, let alone be considered "friendly". We didn't feel they were welcome, and certainly no "friendly" environment experienced. We won't be back. See how Calhouns defines "pet friendly". Y'all might learn something. To diners with pups: You want "pet friendly"? Skip this place.

Lance was our tastemaker/ bartender and our tasting was curated as part of a tour. The tasting was quick and fun. We liked so many flavors and after much deliberation decided to purchase the apple pie, strawberry shortcake, and 2 orange creme. I greatly appreciated this as then I did not have to hold them when perusing the rest of the shop. In addition to moonshine they sell T-shirts, pour spouts, candles, and more. We visited Tanger on a Saturday morning over a holiday weekend. Parking was rough but understandable. Eventually we found a spot, but it took longer to leave Tanger than it did to park. I'm not the biggest fan of sweet drinks in general, and especially not sweet alcohol. But I wasn't about to pass up an opportunity to taste some of Old Forge Distillery's moonshine and gin. They also make vodka, whiskey and rum. The gin was good! It doesn't taste like traditional gin, because they age it in bourbon barrels, so it has a little bit of a caramel taste to it. (In my opinion.) The moonshine and the cream liqueurs are where you will find the crazy flavors. I think my favorite was the coffee moonshine, which tastes like a wonderfully spiked black coffee. Samples are plentiful. The bartender told us which ones were crowd favorites, and also recommended some that I would not have picked myself. They also have a huge gift shop with lots of tchotchkes, plus bottles of their goods to take home with you.
