To go orders come with a little soy sauce trays which makes it easy to dip. Pick up was seamless and as you enter the restaurant, you are enveloped in the smell of fresh seafood and sushi rice. Toro is very tiny but tasty, ultra fatty and melts in your mouth. The miso soup is great, very well balanced - not too salty with a rich, umami flavor. The rainbow roll has a big piece of imitation crab running through the middle and was good. The tempura in the spider roll could've been a little crispier. Everything cost $45 and was relatively filling. Pretty impressed overall with the quality and price, though. read more

After a long day of class, I was ready to chow down. I was craving sushi, as I haven't had it in a long time. I went to my UberEats app, and Tenzan popped up. I decided to go with a deluxe meal. Please check my photo for details. The food was amazing! It was freshly made, and made with care. The salmon came over a bed of veggies, and was cooked to the right texture. Everything else on the plate was delicious. The egg rolls were actually good, and sat well in my stomach. This is great, as usually this is not the case with egg rolls. The miso soup and rice complemented the meal well, and I was overall satisfied with my order. This meal could feed two, but since it was just for me, I split this into two meals. The food was sooo good. I have been dying for some good sushi, so I thought why not give this place a try. (The ratings on seamless were good). I ordered the spicy combo with tuna, salmon, and crab. After walking around for a while we saw Tenzan had a nice outdoor area with heaters and sushi sounded amazing. Who am I kidding the sake special is what lured us in. But, we were pleasantly surprised to see a lunch special of 3 maki rolls for around $12 with soup or salad. Amazing prices for Manhattan. Honestly we weren't holding our breath for great sushi. Very fresh and great prices for the UES. Small rolls are around $7 and specialty rolls start around $11. The staff works extra hard to secure COVID restrictions. And they have set up a large outdoor dining space. But I usually just grab and go. I recently learned that miso is good for the gut so I've added it to my new weekly eats. And they have a really delicious and very large miso soup for $2.50. Delivery is also quick, but remember to order through them. Favs... the miso soup, the spicy tuna, and Philly roll. I wish I took a pic of my food but was too hungry. The peanut avocado roll is amazing here! Even if you are not vegetarian you should get 1. So is the sweet potato tempura roll. I ordered from here today for lunch through Seamless. The sushi roll tasted ok, but as I started eating I noticed a STAPLE sitting on top of one of my sushi rolls! (See pic.) I chatted with Seamless who said the restaurant would only be willing to give me a refund if they came to pick up the order. By that time I had already thrown it away. When I told them this, they still would not offer me any type of refund or credit or anything, or even an apology. I understand restaurants make mistakes, but this is unacceptable.
