    À la cate burrito
    Brandy C.

We went to this place for lunch and quite enjoyed it all. The restaurant was larger than I expected as well as beautiful and clean. The service was great. Everyone was friendly and attentive. The menu was thorough with many things like appetizers, soups, salads and main meals. I was getting over a cold so I ordered a à la carte burrito. It was packed full of shredded chicken. I wish there was lettuce and sour cream and stuff but I should have asked questions. Nevertheless, delicious. My husband ordered sopes and he loved it. He cleaned his plate! Also, when we sat down, we were served HOT chips and individual bowls of salsa. Delicious.

Here's the outdoor view of Tequila Town. Has an excellent location in the parking lot.

Been craving Mexican food for the past few weeks and found a pretty awesome venue thus ending my desperation today! Tequila's Town is a superb Mexican restaurant with a great staff and cuisine! I was surprised by the size and seating areas here. Seating was comfortable overall and had both booth seating and table seating. There are three main areas for seating and the fourth is dominated by the bar area. Service was pretty awesome. Our server has worked here for years and had great knowledge of the meals it offers. He also was very courteous and did what many servers fail to do these days: he made regular checks on our table to see how we were doing. It was good to have some of that again. Given that business was not super heavy at the time of my visit, it didn't take too long between ordering and getting our meals, as we'd expect. I ordered the lunch version of the enchiladas offering. They have five or six lunch meals for $9 to choose from. I'm always craving enchiladas, so it was an easy choice for me. It came with two enchiladas (you can choose from three or four sauce selections, I chose a red and white sauce combo), refried beans and rice.Overall, it was very good. My only recommendations would be that there would be more sauce on the enchiladas, which I will request on future visits. Also, the chicken did have a noticeable degree of dryness. The extra sauce would help cover that up in the future. But I was still very satisfied with this meal. My friend ordered the avocado with shrimp burrito. It came with the extras of black beans and rice. I ate some of the burrito and it was very good! However, my friend said she found some small pieces of shell from the shrimp in her burrito. For as good as it was, this was a concern as something like this could get stuck in a person's throat if swallowed. Again, it was really good - but I hope if the manager or business owner reads my review that they would ensure those who work I with the shrimp be extra careful that all shelling is removed from the shrimp. None of the negatives here will keep me alway from this excellent Mexican food outlet. The friendless of the staff the quality and quantity of what they give you for the price is very well worth it. Recommend: HIGH

Came for a quick Sunday evening dinner with the family. The service was very quick because it was earlier in the evening and not super busy. I will say that our waitress was initially not very friendly but warmed up midway through. I really enjoy their salsa- it's very fresh and I like how they bring individual cups for each person. They have a good variety on the kids menu, and I like that they have a cheeseburger option which is unconventional for a Mexican place. My tacos were decent (mushroom/calabacita and carnitas- both on corn tortillas). My husband had a steak taco, chicken taco, and barbacoa taco and my MIL had the Arroz Texano. It had a lot of different meat in it (shrimp, chicken, steak) and was a very large portion size. She took a lot home. It's a casual place and setup nicely.

A year later and still EXCELLENT! 4 of us ate here today and we all loved it! Service is always fast and friendly. We ordered a burrito, quesadillas, a chimichanga and a grilled chicken fajita lunch special. Lunch specials here are always a winner! Gotta stop here! They've been open at this location for a long time.

Extremely disappointing. Immediately SICK after my first shot of tequila with pineapple juice, had to run outside and puke in the parking lot, and couldn't even take the second shot I had to pay for. Don't drink the pineapple juice!!!! My family eats here multiple times a month and we have never had something like this happen before. We called to let them know their juice might be bad, and immediately got told We Are Wrong.. Wtf Lol. Awful customer service to have towards regulars who spend hundreds here a month. The first "manager" we spoke to (wasn't the real manager just insisted she was on the phone, told us they fresh-squeezed juice daily so it's not possible, then the second manager swore it couldn't be from the pineapple juice because he just opened the can???? So who is lying? Lol I don't trust this place at all now which is so disappointing because this was our go to spot. I dropped $65 on appetizers just to get violently sick from a drink and then get gaslit about it. Not cool.

It was Taco Tuesday and I was actually going to get tacos this time around. I pulled up my delivery app as I worked late and was not tryna cook to see what place I haven't tried yet and Tequila's Town came up. I chose the Tacos De Mushroom Y Calab (mushrooms, yellow onions, green zucchini, yellow squash, queso fresco, avocado, cilantro) and an app of Queso Fundido topped with mushrooms and corn tortillas. No offense but my body has a love/hate relationship with avocados. Not wanting to risk anything I gave them to my man. The rest of the tacos were great! I chose them just because I've had a veggie taco before and they were really good, didn't need any meat. Also, the rest of the protein would com from the dip. The dip was delicious but waaay more than I could eat. It solidified into a block of cheese so it needed to be slowly reheated so I didn't have to cut it like a pizza. Nevertheless, I was able to eat most of it and finished satisfied. Definitely want to eat here again.

I recently went to here for Taco Tuesday and it was still delicious. Every time I come here I get amazing service and good food. I love the decor and ambiance of this restaurant.! It's playful yet cultural. It's one of my go to spots in Jax. I started off with guac and salsa and both tasted fresh and delicious. The al pastor tacos were cooked perfectly and had that lovely hint of grilled pineapple. I also had the house margarita that was on special and it was the perfect addition to my meal. I'll definitely keep coming back here!

In a quest to visit new places with my weekly lunch partner. This week was Tequila's Town. We eat early on Thursdays. Upon arrival we were the 1st guest. Upon entering the staff scrambled from a table huddle to their post. We were greeted by a bartender as sitting at bars is our lunch jam! We were given an extensive cocktail menu and a good menu. I had actually visited Tequila's Town years before. I choose a Jalapeño Margarita and my friend Mango Margarita. They were swiftly prepared and delicious. We were served chips and salsa. The chips were fresh with a perfect amount of salt. The salsa was flat and bland. We found the lunch choices nestled within the extensive menu. I choose enchilada and taco and my partner Enchiladas Suiza. Lunch specials are $9! What a bargain. The plates arrived quickly with entree, rice and beans! Everything was delicious. I can say the only draw back was the bartender did not tend the bar she spent her time in the employee huddle at a bar side table. There was no silverware rolling or anything restaurant prep happening just hanging out. Honestly we would have stayed and perhaps enjoyed another drink and finished catching up but our glasses were empty for a while so we headed to an another place to extend our meeting! If you are looking for a quick and yummy and affordable lunch. Give them a try.

My husband and I went to dinner here and what used to be a great place is no longer the case. We sat at the bar and there were fruit flies everywhere we couldn't stop swatting them. The bartender was even swatting at them as well. We also saw a roach where the glasses are being sat on the bar to make drinks. The food was absolutely awful and we could not eat it. We decided to just leave because of how gross it was. We paid our bill and went to the front where a gentleman turned to say have a great night and how was your food? I proceeded to tell him that it was awful and we didn't even finish our meals or our drinks and we were just leaving after having paid. He said let me get the manager so you can let him know. The manager came to speak to us and was in complete denial that there was anything wrong at the bar and said he had regular pest control service and didn't know what we were talking about. Rather than have a dispute with him I just said OK well, thank you for your concern and we won't be back. It's really bad when a manager just accent denial and never even apologized for the experience or offered any type of remorse. I will never be back to that restaurant.

This place was delicious. The food was amazing and fresh, the spicy margarita was perfect. Wait staff was attentive and quick.

I like Mexican food but it's not usually my first go-to. I recently came here to get lunch with a friend and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it! The location is fantastic. It's nestled on the backside of the Harbour Village plaza and when I first walked in I couldn't believe how big the location is. We were promptly seated and our server was fantastic for the duration of our meal. He was attentive and checked in every 5-10 minutes. They have all of the typical things you'd expect to see in a restaurant like this (tacos, enchiladas, burritos, fajitas, etc.) so I settled on something a little more unusual as I wasn't trying to eat a heavy meal nor did I want to have any meat. I decided on the "Pura Vida" bowl which came with black beans, tomatoes, roasted corn kernels, avocado slices, pickled red onions, cilantro, radishes, pumpkin 'pepitas' and chia seeds, served over vegan cilantro rice. It was also served with side of creamy salsa dressing. It was very good! I'd definitely come back here and order the same thing again!

Amazing quick service on a Saturday at lunch and delicious food. My bowl was huge and I'm looking forward to leftovers. It was a bit salty I think because of the queso but would probably be great with some hot sauce. Great location with other businesses in the shopping center. I hear their margaritas are great too!

Avocado Pecan Salad. I added Shrimp and topped it with Cilantro Lime Vinaigrette Dressing. SO yum!!! My fave.

Ordinarily, you go to a Mexican restaurant and think tacos, burritos, quesadilla, etc, right? Well ... I'm not ordinary. Some friends and I planned to go out that eve after work. My thought process was ... It's Tuesday. It's National Margarita Day. Margarita's have Tequila. Tequila Tuesday. Tequila Town! Luckily, my friend had the same idea. Score! So all day I was thinking about one of my favorite dishes there. A salad. Whaaaaaat?!?! SALAD?!?! I know. But, if you've never tried it, you should! Sooooooo yummmmmyyyy!!! Avocado Pecan Salad. Sounds weird, I know, but add shrimp to it (oh mah gaaaaaaah, SO flavorful!) And then the Cilantro Lime Vinaigrette dressing. Oh wow! What's funny is, I HATE Cilantro. But this dressing ... this dressing is amaaaaaazing! I love their regular margaritas whenever we go there. But, my friend got me to try the Skinny Margarita. I was pleasantly surprised. Usually, when I hear skinny, it sucks. Hahaha but this was actually good. I like this place. Always a welcoming staff. Get seated fairly quickly. And the bartender, Jenny, she's the BEST! Lots of good memories at this place! Keep up the great work!
