I used to think there was no bad teriyaki, but this place proved me wrong. Got the beef stir fry. Veggies were still cold but the meat was in very thick slices and too tough to chew. I asked for a replacement and had to pay for it. So I basically spend $20+ on sub par, overly salty, precut then cooked chicken. You know how most places cook the chicken whole and then cut it when it's done? Not here!! Then they assaulted it with an abundance of toasted sesame seeds on top. Put that at the condiment bar and don't assume everybody wants that. Sure it's open on Sunday, but just wait for another day to get the good stuff somewhere else. Won't be back. read more

I really enjoy this restaurant. For the price, you get a lot of food - often times it lasts me 3 meals. It's yummy as well. The Kalbi is my favorite (of course it's the highest priced menu item). The staff are a bit quiet, but they're actually really nice. We frequently get free gyoza with my order because of how often we come in. I too can attest to the deliciousness of the cabbage salad. New teriyaki joint by work, sure I'll give it a shot! It wasn't until I walked in and took a glance at the menu...$9 for chicken teriyaki?!! You have got to be kidding me. I might ALMOST justify it if it was chicken breast.... Nope. Regular chicken teriyaki, $9. ABSURD. The chicken breast was almost $10. Shit, for $10 I could have a steak lunch. No spank you. I asked the lady if she had a lunch special, lunch portion or a bowl. Nope. Guess that made my decision that much easier. Turned right around and walked out. I will not be spending $13ish on lunch any time soon. Obviously this review is for price only, sometimes price is king. Therefore I will not be even trying their food. Garlic chicken, beef pho and tempura shrimp is what we ate. The shrimp was ok, nothing special, tempura a little soft but edible. Garlic chicken was full of flavor and good portion, definitely my favorite thing we ate here. Last was the beef pho, holy Jesus! No joke the biggest bowl of pho I've ever seen, could easily feed 3-4 people. But to be honest it lacked flavor, even after adding hoison, siracha, basil, cilantro, lime and all the goodies you still were missing that true pho broth flavor. Service was skeptical at first but then she got on her game. Remember you gotta pay first then sit, we didn't realize this till about 10 mins in. Tried this new place recently since it was convenient to where my dogs gets groomed (and I was starving). Result: The food sucked! First of all, if you are going to open a teriyaki joint, you had better be good or unique since our market is already saturated with teriyaki eateries. The only unique thing about this place is Variety; you can get Pho Soup besides Teriyaki then cap everything off with a Bubble tea. Onto the food: The chicken/katsu was dryer than our Indian Summer weather, in fact, the chicken teriyaki was drenched in teriyaki sauce (probably to hide how dry the chicken was) and the katsu's breading was crunchy but overwhelming and average in taste. The dish also came with a small stingy scoop of rice but a hearty portion of cafeteria coleslaw! The place was clean but without any air conditioning or fans, so during a warm sunny day, it felt like a Nike sweatshop. Happy thoughts: They offer a do-it-yourself soup station with your meal (choices are miso or egg drop chicken) which was not all that bad. Plus they are open on Sundays. Lastly: Why the hell do small restaurant owners never smile?! Not only are they unfriendly, they are unapproachable. You can't even ask for a cup of water without a grumpy reaction. Food for Thought: a jovial personality & warm smile goes a long ways, sometimes it will even hide how bad your food is.... I can see this place getting "first time customers" since it's next to Starbucks and on Aurora's Hwy 99 but I highly doubt they will get repeat customers unless drastic changes are made. Worst teriyaki place I have ever been to. Reviews commenting on how dirty it is are 100% accurate. Tables are dirty, food on the floor, piles of dirty dishes and disturbing number of flies. I think they are under new management, because the food used to be ok here. Rice is mushy, ordered chicken yakisoba and got boiled noodles and ketchup sauce. Literally walking distance from my place. The big portions sure gets my attention. But the flavor definitely brings it home. Gotta love the free soup! And everything looks clean, and sterilized. One thing though, you might wanna ask whats in the food that you'll order. I fell victim to the almond chicken. I always poke around looking for great teriyaki joints in town. I have eaten at many and most are "ok". Yasuko's is/was my all time favorite but they have declined over the years. There is Mikou down by Boeing Field but not much in north seattle. Teriyaki & Pho isn't in a great location and looks unassuming but wow, the chicken was plentiful. Nice and chewy but not dry. The sauce was just right. Not that thick gloppy syrup that clings to the top layer of chicken but instead coats every piece of chicken evenly. The sauce had a nice balance between salty and sweet. The people working here have NO concept of customer service. Last week, an employee answered the phone with simply "Hello?" Wouldn't read back my order. It's an ok place to eat at when you are hungry but not if you are looking for a taste-bud satisfying meal. The beef pho bowl is ginormous--the name entitles it all...just beef and pho, but mainly noodles. The pho here is just as bad as it is good. I am a huge fan of pho and have tried it all over the state. The other day, it was lunch time and I was in search of some good pho close to my location. Teriyaki and Pho popped up on Yelp so I ran over to check it out. This place has a plethora of Japanese menu items and they all looked very very good. So good, that I almost didn't order the pho but in the end, My craving won out. You get three choices. Beef, chicken or pork. There are no other fancy options like tripe or brisket etc... and there is only one size too. I chose the beef. The first thing that I noticed when my bowl arrived is that they added all of the garnishments to my bowl instead of serving them on the side like every other place that I have gone. They put the lime, rind and all in my bowl. The jalapenos, sprouts and basil stalk and all too. I don't know about you but I normally don't eat the basil stalk and I suppose it's a good thing that I like all of the garnishments because I didn't have to dig them out of the bowl like I did the lime to squeeze and discard the rind. They also add cilantro to the bowl which was different but not bad. The next thing that I noticed was that the broth was dark brown in color. I am used to my pho coming in clear broth so that leads me to wonder if the broth here is prepared in the traditional way or if they use some sort of beef stock or something. Whatever they use, it was still good. The beef however was very tough and overcooked and the noodles were undercooked and super chewy. For a Japanese restaurant, the pho wasn't too bad but it wasn't really good. It served it's purpose and satisfied my craving but If I ever visit again, I think I'll try the teriyaki chicken instead of ordering the pho. Thanks for reading. read more

If I go grocery shopping when I'm hungry, I'll always too much food and most of it is junk food. So before shopping at Asian Grocery Center, I would run across the street and get filled first and Teriyaki Pho. Their meals are big and affordable and delicious. They are indeed as diverse and teriyaki and pho can be too! Their menu consists of east asian cuisines of many countries and are all pretty well made. This has become my family's go-to for teriyaki. Like the other commenters have said. The portions are huge. One order of most dishes is enough for two people. The chicken teriyaki, spicy teriyaki and Katsu are all fantastic as is the Mongolian beef. We did try their phad Thai once and were disappointed by that so we have just stuck with the Japanese items since bonus, for dine-In or while waiting for pick up to be ready, soup is free and delicious. The good: Nice store with nice tables, dishes & presentation (the plate of food looked fancy when brought out). The portions (at least for the teriyaki chicken) are enormous. The bad: the chicken did not taste good. I don't know if it was old chicken or something in the sauce but something was off. I came in to get food because I've never been to this place (I've had this food before in a different location and I come to check out a new food location and how the food is) and when I was deciding, the worker there got mad out of nowhere when I was tryin to tell her if I can have 2 of the 3 orders to go and 1 for here. I have been here a few times now, my new favourite takeaways. The Spicy chicken teriyaki is delicious! Such a huge meal for $10 that I had leftovers for work the next day (which several co-workers tried to steal) and the chicken was perfect with a good amount of sauce to cover my rice. My current favourite is the Prawn Yakisoba, very flavourful and a good amount of prawns and fresh veggies. The staff have always been very pleasant (even the night I showed up with a couple of friends right before closing!!) and they even offer free soup which other reviewers have said was for dine in but they offered it to us as takeaway. Top notch teriayaki. I had the spicy chicken like someone suggested and loved it. The chicken meat was plump and fresh tasting. The marinade was not heavy. It was cooked very slightly charred which I like. I didn't give any special instructions about spicyness and it was just right for me, I usually ask for 2 stars on a scale of 1-5, if you like spicy you might ask them to kick it up a notch. This restaurant suffers from a real lack of identity. Is it a Japanese or Chinese or Vietnamese restaurant? When I placed my order for beef pho, the cashier thought I said beef teriyaki. I had to repeat myself twice for her to get the order right. The restaurant seems heavier on the Japanese in terms of the offerings. But I came here for the pho, which was, not surprisingly, not very authentic tasting. The broth was a little watery and definitely lacked the fragrance and aroma of a better pho. The beef in the soup was a little tough and had a bit of freezer burn taste. The cilantro and basil had brown spots. If you typically don't like all the sprouts and herbs in your pho, consider asking for them on the side. My bowl had those toppings added already. Price wise it was more expensive than other places, although portion wise it is equivalent to the large size (only one size available) at a typical pho restaurant. Went in not to long ago, I got chicken teriyaki it was okay. I liked the complimentary egg soup that they have its pretty good. Prices are a bit high for teriyaki. Customer service needs improvement tho, I went in the evening at 8pm and the girl at the front advised me that they close at 9pm not once but twice, it really got on my nerves she was literally saying hurry up order eat n go, when its clearly 1 hr before close time.
