Medium Chicken teriyaki bowl over brown rice , does not come with veggies . You do get their sauce (tastes ok) and hot sauce.

Medium teriyaki chicken. Over brown rice. Underwhelming. The price point is a little too much. The basic bowl is just protein and rice, no veggies . Some chopped scallion. Brown rice tasted strange, tasted some undercooked pieces and some pieces that tasted dated. I got the medium chicken bowl paid $15 cash for my order got $1.43 back. You can honestly get yoshinoya at a better price and more. The bowl needs at least veggies...shouldn't be an extra charge.

Today I ordered a large grilled shrimp bowl with steamed vegetables for my wife. Shortly after eating, she became sick and vomited, and we discovered there were pieces of chicken and steak mixed into the dish. My wife has a severe allergy to land animal proteins, so this was a serious health risk not just an inconvenience. Customers with food allergies should be able to trust that their orders are prepared correctly and without cross-contamination. I also paid $19 for a meal that could not be eaten. This was our first time ordering since you opened, which makes the experience especially disappointing. While she said the food tasted good, the safety issue is very concerning. For people who have serious allergies PLEASE be careful!!! Below is pictures that she took after it came back up and you could see there's steak meat still left.

Worst customer. Ordered chicken and steak bowl, no rice , sub extra vegetables, extra protein. I get bowl with rice and no extra vegetables, no salad. Manager could not care less. You have to pay $2 more for vegetables. Never again

Mountain of paper towels with poop

Got myself a large steak bowl and it was really good however the restroom had a huge mountain of paper towels / toilet paper with human feces all over the place. If I would have gone to the bathroom before ordering I wouldn't have eaten here.

Came for the 8.99 Chicken Bowl special that I had seen on instagram today, and let me tell you it did not disappoint. For 50 cents more you could upgrade your drink to an Agua Fresca . I chose horchata and it was really good. The actual chicken teriyaki bowl was delicious and such a good deal for the price. I thought it was really clean inside and I love the door that goes into the kitchen . Definitely coming back when I'm in the area again !!!

Chicken & Steak Teriyaki Plate with Avocado Slices

This is the 1/2 & 1/2 chicken & steak with fresh Avocado Slices. My boyfriend & I share it so it's definitely enough for two! It's probably one of my favorite teriyaki spots, not to mention they have discounts through door dash so I paid $13 for this combo plate. J's is a must try if ur craving some good food on a budget. The cashier was also very friendly!

Chicken n beef combo. Thiis after I put 2 types of sauce on it.

The food was good. I got the chicken and beef combo over rice. The service was also great. Very helpful and also recommended some sauce to try. Place was chill. I was glad finally a teriyaki spot in the lbc. I would honestly say this place is 3.5 and the only reason I didn't give them a 5 was because of price! It's a bit high for what you get. But I do appreciate they use a better quality of meat vs other teriyaki spot I have been to. So yeah I guess if you REALLY are craving a teriyaki bowl or plate and you don't want drive far you gotta pay the price smh! Lol but if your on a budget you might want to just look at the picture of the dishes on yelp and call it a day :)

Food was good. The place is clean nice with a lot of parking available. Service was great! I called ahead before they closed. Got cut off but made it a little bit after they closed but we're chill to let me order something easy and quick. Thanks for the first time experience.

My sister and I visited this past --our walnut salad was fresh, the Riesling hit perfectly, and the calamari came out with that golden crunch to die for. But our server... all we could say was Steve, Steve, Steve!!!! He took the cake! Talk about impeccable service and making you feel genuinely welcomed--that's an understatement. This was my second time here, and I've gotta say, I think this has officially become one of my all-time favorites. Downtown Long Beach has always had such a fun, foodie-filled atmosphere. I know some restaurants are struggling, but it's because they didn't have the same atmosphere & service. The food is great, but what really stands out to me are the PEOPLE. Even the servers who weren't serving our table intentionally, smiled, and said hello as they passed. I even remembered one of the servers from my last visit and her sister because they both have some of the most inviting personalities ever. That says a lot about the culture of a restaurant. We also had the opportunity to meet the new GM, which was another nice touch. Great food. Great ambience. GREAT people. And Steve,,,you're the best! 10/10. We'll definitely be back. Oh and to little sisters-- remember that big sister's rule.

There's no macademia flavor, if you blind tasted it you would be shocked that there is any at all. It comes with an orange ginger sauce that literally had no orange or ginger notes either. The corn was the best part of the meal? It was really good. Service Fine, a little slow. I got a fistbump? Ambiance Nice restaurant that is too loud

Not sure if they had like their own breading or something?...but they were sooooo crunchy on the outside and incredible soft on the inside. And the cheese sauce on the old bay fries wasn't your cheap nacho cheese; it was thick and had a creamy flavor that KILLED it. Their wings were also very crunchy, as were the calamari fries. I especially loved how the calamari was not minced, as I thought it would be so that it could be formed into a fry shape. I think the theme here is crunch. And they found the PERFECT balance between crunch and tender for each food I tried (didn't get the lobster dishes tho because I don't like lobster and I was kind of forced to come here...hahaha).

We had the dinner for 2, two apps, two rolls and a desert. We both had different rolls, the crab cake and sweet waffle fries. The crab cake was very good, and not overly bready. Fries were good too, although I'm a more traditional fry girl. Don't let the shopping center scare you off if you're not familiar with the area. Food was good, service was great and the restaurant was very clean. It's quick service, you order and they bring it to you, or they will come to your table. We are definitely going back, I want to try the tacos next!

A New Job, A New Milestone & A Chance to Rewrite the Narrative…read more My best friend and I have a tradition of celebrating new jobs with a nice dinner. Since this was her new job and a major milestone, I let her choose the restaurant. She had visited Bo-Beau last year but didn't get the full experience, so this was her chance to rewrite the narrative. And it was truly night and day. I researched the restaurant beforehand and was excited to see that Bo-Beau is part of the Cohn Restaurant Group, which I mostly associate with San Diego and South Orange County. After this experience, I really hope they're here to stay. I noted on our reservation that we were celebrating her new job, and for once, the restaurant actually read the note and acknowledged it. From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was excellent. The hostess welcomed us downstairs, another staff member greeted us when we reached the rooftop, and our server quickly followed up. Then came the surprise: complimentary champagne for both of us. It was such a thoughtful gesture, especially because those little celebratory touches seem to be increasingly rare. Our server was also patient with our questions and attentive throughout the evening without being intrusive. We spent about 2.5 hours enjoying dinner and catching up over: Baked Brie Brussels Sprouts Steak Frites Everything was flavorful, and the entire experience felt relaxed, peaceful, and worth the price point. The food was great, but the hospitality is what earned the 5 stars for me. Real hospitality is paying attention to the guest, recognizing the occasion, and making people feel genuinely welcomed. My best friend got the celebration she wanted -- and a much better Bo-Beau experience this time around. Will definitely be returning!
