I've had two bowls from Teriyaki Madness, a chicken teriyaki and spicy chicken teriyaki. Both were great. The chicken, vegetable and rice were all delicious. I was really impressed with the quality of the ingredients. This is very much real food. The price is pretty reasonable though I'm not a huge fan of paying an extra $1.50 for all veggies and no rice. Yesterday 12/11, was chicken teriyaki day. There was a BOGO bowl promotion. They have very generous portions and are better quality than Panda Express I think. It was busy and the staff were friendly. I ordered to go and the food was ready very quickly. The chicken is good and has some crispy blackening from the grill which I like. It's hard to rate a restaurant with good food such a low score. With the quality of service how can you expect anything different? Picking up food here a few time now they were late the first time by 20mins I didn't mind. The second time they were late another 20mins. This time already knowing they're most likely going to be late again I show up 25 mins after they told me my food would be ready....as I walked in they said "We need just a bit of time" I like this place but waiting TWO HOURS in my third time really left me feeling like they could care less which in my opinion really kills the ambiance of the whole experience. The first time I ate here the food was great and service was great. I ate here today and when the female cashier handed me my cup, she grabbed it and picked it up from the opening. I politely ask if I may have another cup she looked at me so I explained her hand was around the rim and her palm covered and touched the rim of the cup as well, I said no offense. She gave me another cup, no problem or so I thought. While I faced the window to the parking lot waiting on my food. I heard her tell another employee what happened. That should have been my cue to ask for a refund and leave. But I decided to stay. When she brought me my bowl, she handed it to me and in a pleasant tone said here's your bowl. It was the way she said, second clue to ask for a refund and leave but no I decide to eat. While eating I noticed the steak was cold, not warm or hot, cold. Again o kept eating until I came across hair in my bowl :( This is not ok. It's unsanitary and I will never eat there again. I hope nothing else was put in my food. However the only downside is that from time to time they forget to include an item from your order. My recommendation would be to double check your order before you leave the location. My sights were set pretty low for a teriyaki style chain but it was ok. I was craving bourbon chicken iykyk, but I wasn't about to drive all the way down to denver for a craving so o searched similar style places up in this neighborhood and it looked like this was my best option. I went with the mad spicy chicken and I was actually surprised it had some heat. Nothing crazy but almost like a sriracha level spice so It was nice there was something going on there. As expected the veggies were like frozen Vegs but all in all it really wasn't bad. Egg roll it came with was not good though I only got it because it was like a meal type thing and I was really wanting a root beer, so no harm no foul I guess. I stopped in while at a nearby store and excited about the Chicken Katsu bowl. Order taking was quick but took 10 min to get food. Egg roll was good but not tons of flavor. The bowl was terrible. They forgot the Teriyaki Sauce, the chicken was over cooked (see picture). Vegetables were a tiny a bit of cabbage and 2 broccoli. Brown rice was delicious though thus my two stars. once again i just have to talk about how much i love this place. everytime i come in the food is fresh and hot and i get it very fastly. the staff is always really friendly and helpful with everything. all the tables and counters are always clean and the bathroom always looks nice and never has a bad smell all and all i e never had a problem with any of the food or staff here. my favorite person to have my order taken by is kevin he's just always in such an upbeat mood. i can't wait to come get more delicious food truly is crazy delicious. thank you for all your great service and food over the last year read more

Where to begin, we went in to order take out. After 30 minutes I had to ask when the food would be ready... Took 40 minutes for takeout, then to find that the fried rice was just white rice with soy sauce and the yakisobo noodles were essentially plain spaghetti noodles. It's comparable to how one is treated at the California DMV. You're disturbing them at their job. Like they're the customer and you're the one working. If your looking for this type of food Tokyo Joe's will absolutely take better care of you and produce better food. Melissa was incredibly rude to me and my husband.
