I wish I could give it 5 stars but I'm sure if they just fix some of the areas I'm about to mention then they can improve their overall quality. We ordered a small chicken teriyaki bowl and a steak teriyaki bowl. The brown rice appeared to be mixed with some older brown rice causing it to be very hard to the bite. We informed the manager/owner and he explained that it was the rice cooker not cooking it properly. We understand but the next area is cleanliness. The tables felt sticky and you can tell because when you would pick up the Sriracha bottle and soy sauce bottle, they were sticking to the table. The bathroom too needed attention. Overall, it's an "ok" place to go if you are in a hurry for a quick-bite or better yet for a to-go order. read more

I appreciate the ease of using the ap to order. There was a place to put comments in which was handy to note allergies. The teriyaki chicken with sauce was tasty enough but not necessarily something that I would crave eating regularly. The spicy teriyaki chicken was mildly spicy. Portion sizes were ok overall but had a lot of rice compared to the other components of the bowl. Not a great value compared to other similar restaurants. The order was ready to be picked up on time. It looks amazing on the website but once I got there I was barely even greeted just seemed the cashier was annoyed I was there no talking other than telling me my total. Disappointing I honestly don't know how you mess up chicken teriyaki, but somehow this place managed to do just that. Nothing about the food tasted remotely authentic. We ordered two different bowls--both were a letdown. The steak was tough, dry, and completely unseasoned, while the spicy chicken was also dry and tasted more like Taco Bell hot sauce than anything Asian-inspired. We tried the "mad sauce" on the side, and it basically just smelled and tasted like Taco Bell's mild sauce. The rice was plain long-grain that crumbled apart, and the veggies were either overcooked or still partially raw--no in-between. Even the drinks were bad. The tea tasted like dirty water, and the Dr Pepper had a strange, off-putting aftertaste. Wouldn't recommend. Definitely not coming back. read more

I had a pretty great experience here, honestly! My son and I were shopping and decided to get a quick snack before dinner and so enter teriyaki madness! I always say that I have to do it for Yelp! Since it was just a snack before dinner, we decided to get the junior order of the chicken Katsu with rice and make it a meal so we could have the edamame to share. The restaurant was very busy with online orders so I will say we did have to wait over 20 minutes for our food. Considering they are a new restaurant and online orders are very popular right now. I would say that is reasonable. I would also guess that as they get into their groove, that Weight time will absolutely decrease. My son and I ate in our car outside of the restaurant because we were starving . They seemed pretty busy with walk-ins too! The food was super tasty. Chicken was crispy and just extremely flavorful. The dark meat chicken was cooked wonderfully. The chicken to rice ratio was more chicken than rice, but that's pretty par for the course at a restaurant. I liked that you have three different sizes of meals to order from. The cashier at the register actually made a recommendation to get the meal versus the dish with a side, to save money and still get the same items so that was super cool of her . I don't usually leave reviews, but this experience was really disappointing. My order was made incorrectly, and when I tried to address it, the cook/cashier blamed me for not specifying something that isn't even listed on the menu. I ordered the regular spicy orange chicken (which is supposed to be crispy), but instead got a grilled version I didn't ask for. What made it worse was the attitude -- there was no effort to fix the mistake, just a dismissive "nothing I can do." I ended up paying $20 for food I didn't even want. I've liked this place in the past, but the last couple of visits have been going downhill in both service and food quality. I love this place! I'd been a couple times in other cities and so happy they are here. Not sure what the 2.5 stars is about I've eaten here 4 times this week and it's been perfect every time. And everyone that works here has been super nice. I've stuck with the classic bowl with rice and veggies, so good! The first time I tried this place I thought it was pretty good. I got a chicken breast bowl with noodles and my only complaint was there was only a small amount of meat. My husband got the fried rice on his and I thought wow I shoulda went with that so today that's what I did. We got the chicken teriyaki bowl with fried rice, it was fantastic. We got the spicy fried teriyaki noodle bowl and the veggies were soft and thin and cooked the way I like it, not crunchy. You can get whatever veggies added. All the food was fantastic. We also got the potstickers. They were very good and I am picky. BEWARE!!! Do NOT trust the gluten free. They asked me if it was an allergy or a preference - it's an allergy - and, without a doubt, my food was not gluten free. I ordered steak teriyaki with fried rice and vegetables. The flavor was ok - the stake was cut badly and was all connected at one end making it difficult to eat - especially in a bow packed to the brim where cutting is impossible. The fried rice was gummy and was only the rice and eggs - none of the usual veggies ones finds in fried rice. The veggies on top were a pile of cabbage, 3 partial slices of zucchini, and 2 very tiny pieces of broccoli - nothing like the pictures show. I won't be going back. read more

It pains me update this review as the owners appear nice, but it seems as if they gave up. It started off great but the last two times I was here, it was a disaster and no one cared. Missing, items, wrong orders, you name it. Both my mom and I ordered the large beef teriyaki plate on the last visit as we love leftovers, and my mom got 7 pieces of meat, less that what you would expect on the small plate. So much for 15 bucks. We were shorted 3 items, I got the wrong food, and the one correct order was so cold they could have got it out of the fridge before giving to us. An email to the website with pictures yielded a canned half hearted apology from some intern at corporate but no refund or offer to remake for the missing items, incorrectly made stuff or the lacking food. After several chances to make things right, our last 103 dollar order will be our last. The workers there also appear to have no oversight and is a free for all for those forced by their parents to get a job or move out. Used to be great food when they opened, but if you go here make sure you check your order before leaving. Even then it might not help. read more

Not very much flavor and barely any sauce. They charge extra for extra teriyaki sauce. Spicy tofu bowl was good, wish there was more tofu. Lots of rice, veggies were there. Eggroll was alright. I got it for free, I don't think I'd buy one again. Crab rangoons, I didn't see any crab, but you never really do with those things. There was barely any cream cheese. Wouldn't buy again. However, today, the person preparing my food sneezed directly onto it without covering their nose/mouth, or walking away. Went in staff looked stoned and ordered a chicken katsu bowl. Asked for katsu sauce and was told "we don't have sauce we're running on fumes" and somehow scrounged up sauce visibly high. Also chicken was served undercooked I brought chicken back to be remade and they put the already undercooked cut up chicken back in frying to make chicken strips and served back. I went back to these stoners blasting grunge rock in the back and they kid you not, they left the chicken I brought back already around and brought back the same chicken reheated again that I asked to be remade.
