It was packed when we arrived and we only waited 15 mins with the waitlist feature. The staff seemed calm and focused even given how busy they were. Everyone exiting thanked them for how wonderful the food was. Jacklyn R. was our server and she came by right after we were sat. She did a great job explaining how things work and recommended drinks and entrees based on what we liked and what was popular. When our food arrived (quickly!), I was missing my horseradish. She took one look at the table and knew it was missing, and immediately brought me two different kinds to try. Absolutely great service, and she was on top of everything. So they're a chain right? Well they're a really good chain. Steaks are so tender. I dream about they're steaks. I've had steaks at expensive steakhouses before and they are no better than the Texas Roadhouse. Tender and full of taste and worth it. The sides are more of a to your liking. The green beans have an overpowering smoke taste. The mashed potatoes are really good. Loaded fries and baked potato are good. The rice is a little spicy. The salads are both good. The potato skins and the mozzarella sticks are also really good. The servers were also really good. Our first time at this location we had Jada and she was exceptional. On top of our every need. Our drinks stayed full and out table stayed clean. She was good natured and fun. The surroundings were what you'd expect. It's a roadhouse. You've got your animal heads and country music. Yeehaw. Stopped by for dinner with friends. I was unprepared for how overwhelming this specific branch of Texas Roadhouse would be. We were seated quickly, but I noted multiple parties near us with people sitting in the walkways next to booths, which made the restaurant hard to traverse. There were lots of taxidermy pieces to look out, though the restaurant was also incredibly loud - I could not converse with my friends at the same table as me due to the level of the music. The bartender was friendly and took our drink order immediately. The waitress did take. Abut more time to get to us but she was just as friendly. Our bread rolls were forgotten about so we reminded our waitress and she brought them out. As I said, we were famished so I was extra antsy! I decided to go a different route and ordered the fried catfish this go round. It was great! Came out hot and quickly. My friends and I came to Texas Roadhouse on a little girls night because two of us had never been! We enjoyed it. The food was delicious. We got a variety of food from chicken tenders to a salad. it was absolutely delicious. The service was good; however, we did have to ask them twice to bring out some missing food which was frustrating. The ambiance was so loud and honestly very crowded. It was extremely busy and noisy but the service was excellent I ordered the catfish with sides of chili and fries. As a native Louisianan I was impressed. The catfish was like my grandfathers. The chili seemed like it was made with leftover prime rib. It had just the right amount of heat Hubby ordered prime rib with loaded baked potato and green beans. He said it was a little bit rare but had a great flavor. Our son had a sirloin with chili and baked potato. He said it was delicious. Catherine made going out for dinner with my pregnant wife and 2 girls very enjoyable. Usually our girls can be a handful but Catherines fast and professional service made dinner go very smooth. They sat us down immediately even though it looked very busy. We all enjoyed our food and even had a small dessert brought to both our girls on the house, and gave us to go waters. Being that my wife is from Ashland KY and since we moved to Folsom CA almost 3 months ago, we have been looking for a Texas Roadhouse that meets the food needs as what we were accustomed to back home. Well we have been to this Texas Roadhouse multiple times but this is the first time that I have written a review about this specific Texas Roadhouse. As always, everytime you walk into this kind of restaurant you will always see a Western Theme, which is what we truly enjoy. After being greeted and seated it was only a couple of minutes that our Waitress came to our table to ask if we wanted something to drink. So we gladly placed our orders for drinks and a little while later she came back to ask if we had decided on our Entree's. We both knew what we wanted and ordered the Half Slab of Ribs and a baked Potato. Our food arrived and let me tell you, the Baked Potato was hot and fresh, the ribs were very tasty and slightly warm, not hot mind you and while I enjoyed my plate of food, the reason why I am giving this a 4 star is because well 1: Our waitress was very friendly, accomodating and made sure we didnt want for nothing but, my Ribs were very dry. They werent really slathered with BBQ sauce like I had seen in the past which would have made them a little bit more enjoyable. The other reason why I am giving this a 4 star is because my salad came to me before my Plate of Food which was only 1 minute before. No matter when we get our food, or how hot or cold it is, we will always be back. No other steakhouse to me can match that than Texas Roadhouse. read more

I just love the music at Texas Roadhouse! It started a bit rocky when I received my well done steak that was supposed to be medium. Becca and Harley are awesome! They happily took my steak to the back and ordered another perfectly cooked steak! Of course my salad and baked potato were as delicious as always. I do prefer all of my potato toppings separated on the side so I can use as much, or little, as I want. So it was a bit disappointing to get the potato toppings all in one container. I'll just have to remember to ask for them in separate containers next time. :) read more

Valentine's Day was also my wife and I's first wedding anniversary. We had reservations at Cattlemens (a very solid, popular steakhouse in our area)... but because we're big Texas Roadhouse fans, we decided to cancel those and celebrate at one of our usual favorites instead. Bold move. Regret. Let's start with the seating. We were placed at what looked like bonus round folding tables set up in the middle of the restaurant like someone said, "How many more couples can we fit in here?" We were basically shoulder to shoulder with the tables on both sides. When servers talked to the table next to us, it felt like we were in the conversation. At one point I'm pretty sure I learned about their weekend plans. Nothing says romantic anniversary dinner like making accidental eye contact with strangers while someone's backside is two inches from your bread basket. Drinks came. My wife's first drink? Not it. She didn't even attempt to power through it -- which says a lot. Ordered something else. We placed our food order before the table next to us. They got their meals first. By a noticeable amount. Our server acknowledged it (and honestly looked completely overwhelmed all night), but that was kind of the theme. My wife ordered steak, mashed potatoes, and green beans. The mashed potatoes came out loaded with bacon -- which she didn't order and doesn't eat. She just scraped it off herself because at that point it felt like sending it back would require filing paperwork. Then she went for the green beans and pulled out macaroni and cheese from inside them. Not on the side. Not nearby. In them. Like a little surprise bonus carb nobody asked for. At that point, she was done. Look -- we get it. Valentine's Day is chaos. But between the cramped seating, wrong sides, mystery mac and cheese cameo, delays, and just overall disorganization, it was a rough anniversary dinner -- especially after dropping about $140. We've had plenty of great meals here before, which makes this one extra disappointing. We intentionally chose Texas Roadhouse over another steakhouse for our first anniversary. I'm giving three stars, and honestly, that's mainly because of the service. Our waitress was great super friendly, attentive, and kept the rolls coming. Sheesh where to start , the waitress was kind but when our starters came out the mozzarella sticks were cold. We sent it back and told them it was no big deal but when we were waiting for them to bring us fresh ones my boyfriend began eating the boneless wings after eating one small piece he immediately could tell it was not sitting right with his stomach. As I told the manager and the cook himself, this was the best cooked steak with the best flavor I've ever had any at Texas Roadhouse location across the US. The steak was cooked perfectly, seasoned well and was served hot and ready to eat! I had the sweet potato to along with the side salad and of course their amazing bread. The customer service was one point despite the busyness of the restaurant that night on a Saturday. The ambiance is of course Texas Roadhouse ambience! But our most recent visit was on another level, and it was all because of our server,Tabitha. From the moment we sat down, she just set the tone. She was so sweet and patient with my two little girls, and she showed genuine courtesy and warmth toward my dad, who's in his 80s. That kind of attentiveness really means a lot when you're dining with family across multiple generations. Tabitha checked in on us multiple times throughout the meal, not in an overbearing way, but just enough to make sure our drinks, appetizers, and entrees were all exactly right. I asked for an Arnold Palmer with just a hint of lemonade and it was made just right. She recommended we try the new Spicy Cactus Blossom with jalapenos, and honestly, that was a great call. We'll definitely be ordering that again. We've had plenty of good experiences here, but Tabitha truly went above and beyond. She made the whole evening feel special, and that's the kind of service that keeps families coming back. If you get seated in her section, you're in good hands. They forgot one of my guest's green beans with his meal and the person bringing it said she couldn't for all of the plates on the tray. And then it took her quite a while to bring the food to the ONE person at our table that she'd missed his meal delivery completely...in addition to the green beans for a different person in my party. My friend commented that their food was ok and that they'd had better except the filet mignon. Hers was smothered in mushrooms and she drenched it in steak sauce so I don't know how she even tasted the actual steak. I tried Texas Roadhouse for the first time today. I remember years ago when they first opened up. I have always wanted to try them but never got around to it. My husbands new job calls for him to travel a lot. This is how we came across the restaurant. We ordered for pickup.First impression, Im surprised no one questions why a funeral home would be right next door to it. That's very off putting. We decided however to go ahead and give it a try. Pulling up the place was packed! I was like ok! This place must be good! The staff was really nice. We ended up getting almost 200$ worth of things to try. We got the ribs, the ribeye steak, the house salad, an onion bloom, twisted mozzarella sticks, and jalapeno popper bites, bacon cheeseburger, steak Fries, mac n cheese, chicken strips, rolls and honey cinnamon butter, strawberry lemonade and regular sweet tea. Most excited for the rolls and butter they are so well known for.The ribs were tender but lacking good seasoning and the bbq sauce was even a bit bland, it wasn't horrible. The steak was cooked to perfection but lacked something I can't quite put my finger on. Maybe it wasn't good quality meat? It was juicy, the meat had a different after taste, maybe they use some sort of marinade? The bacon cheeseburger although also juicy was lacking seasoning, The onion bloom was kinda good on the outside where it crisped nicely but toward the middle was a bit mushy and batter filled, The house salad was good, veggies were fresh, salad dressing was good. Chicken strips were cooked great and tasted pretty good overall. Fries were cooked nice and seasoned well. Mashed potatoes and gravy was awful, I can't even describe the flavor. It was not like a good brown gravy but had like a sour taste to it?The sweet tea was delicious, I loved how it wasn't too sweet. I sadly can not say the same for the strawberry lemonade which had a very chemically, artificial flavor to it. Lastly, the rolls. They are pretty good, cooked well, I think they would be better served fresh at the restaurant. The honey butter? It is good but honestly don't see the hype about it. It just taste like cinnamon and sugar and butter? It's good but not something I consider a wow factor. So overall, they are ok. I would give maybe a 4/10. I had been seeing the videos about the Family Meal Deals for so long, I finally decided to order one. I looked at the Family Meals offered at the Citrus Heights location. They offer several different protein options-Chicken Fingers, Chicken Breasts,Sirloin Steaks & Beef Tips with Mushrooms,onions & sour cream. All the meals come with those fluffy, soft, yummy buns with the cinnamon butter, plus you can pick 2 large sides and either a green salad or cease salad. I called to place my order, however they do not take these orders over the phone.... you have to order at the TO GO window located right out front of the restaurant. I get a great parking place, walk on up enjoying the crystal clear country music playing. I see several people leaving the restaurant and they all seemed happy, laughing and smiling. I get to the window and I am promptly greeted with a smile from a young lady working , I place my order of the Beef Tips, Rolls, Caesar Salad, Mashed Potatoes & Green Beans. They gave us plenty of dressing for the salad, lots of cinnamon butter for the rolls, lots of sour cream for the Beef Tips all packaged up nicely and served with a smile. There was so much food! I will say this time my steak was cooked perfectly. I prefer my steak rare and typically when I ask for rare it will come out medium rare or sometimes medium, but this time wow. They did a good job! The ribs were nice and tender and glazed with a sweet and tangy bbq sauce. Shrimp wasn't my favorite but it was ok. Enjoyed a cup of their chili. I probably wouldn't get the loaded baked potato as a side again. Mine was salty and didn't come with green onions. The added cost of getting it loaded wasn't worth it The fresh vegetables side was broccoli and carrots that were nicely buttered but dull in color. Still tasted good with a little bit of crunch. What a fantastic date night we had this past Saturday. It was a very busy night at the Texas Roadhouse but honestly, I was so excited to eat a chicken fried steak since we are originally from Texas. It's a meal I often had, but since we moved to California, it's kind of hard to find. so after ordering our meal and of course a strawberry margarita with tajin on the rim, we ate the delicious buns with sweet butter. OMG those butter buns are the best. My husband had ordered a bone in ribeye and we both had a side salad. My chicken fried steak was so delicious tender and very flavorful. You can't walk in without immediately being hit with the smell of sizzling steaks and that famous basket of fresh-baked rolls--soft, hot, and absolutely melt in your mouth, especially with that sweet cinnamon butter. Honestly, the best rolls out there. This time, I decided to switch things up and try the beef tips with mashed potatoes and I was seriously impressed. Heck Yes! I love me some TR. They brought back peanuts guys! They are packaged on the table with the bucket. Mike and I have the app and we often use it to reserve our table in advance. The staff here are really nice. Once you get the delicious bread and cinnamon butter they ask if you have been before, how your day is and if you are celebrating anything. I like when the servers dance when we are there. It isn't often when they do it but when they do I am entertained. I wish they did the dance hourly so all guests could enjoy! I am also entertained when TR employees celebrate birthdays and people ride the saddle. Yeehaw! This restaurant is clean and the interior is packed with western decorations. I am a fan. I came here with my girlfriend. The food was delicious and we had a good experience, but there are a few things that could be improved.

We placed a large to-go order of over $230 from Texas Roadhouse in Citrus Heights, and the entire experience was frustrating from start to finish. First, the online ordering system would not accept my free appetizer coupon for a Cactus Blossom, even though it was about to expire. When I explained this to the manager in person, instead of honoring it with our order, he only gave me a new coupon for a future visit. That was not the solution I was asking for, I wanted it with the order we had already placed. On top of that, the food was incomplete and poorly handled.
