Terminix did not complete the work satisfactorily at my sister's home in Mishawaka, Indiana. It was a very expensive project and should have been done professionally. I was able to get in touch with a Terminix specialist team and escalation team to fix the problem. It is in process right now. I hope they will provide the help my sister needs. The work was done on March 24 and it is now May 11. I hope the work will be completed this month to my sisters's satisfaction! Fingers crossed! read more

We spent thousands of dollars with this company on exclusion work to address a rat problem under our home. Unfortunately, despite numerous service visits, the problem has still not been resolved. I have actually been very patient about that part of the process. I understand that determining exactly how rats are getting under a house can be difficult and may take some investigation. What I find unacceptable is the repeated lack of follow-through and communication. On multiple occasions, a technician has told me that a specialist needs to come out. The technician then tells me they will go to their truck to schedule the appointment and comes back with a specific date for the specialist to visit. Then the scheduled day arrives and no one shows up. When I call the company's main number to find out what happened, I'm told there is no record of the appointment ever being scheduled. After spending thousands of dollars for exclusion work, I should not have to repeatedly chase the company down just to get the follow-up service their own technicians tell me is necessary. I've tried to be patient and give the company an opportunity to resolve the original problem. At this point, however, the repeated missed appointments, lack of internal communication, and failure to follow through have become as frustrating as the pest problem itself. read more

I had exclusion service and attic cleanup w/ insulation replacement performed on my home in April 2026. I have a 1 year contract for exclusion. Started hearing noises from attic area in July 2026. I called Terminix for a service call to come out and inspect. The corporate office asked for suitable times for appointments and a promise that local branch will call back to schedule time. I received no calls. I called again in a couple of weeks, same story. I have done this 4 times now, no response. We hired Terminix and paid several thousand dollars to eliminate a mouse problem in our home. Unfortunately, the service was incredibly disappointing. We were repeatedly told that the entry holes had been sealed, but a later technician informed us they had never been sealed. We ended up finding and sealing the holes ourselves with steel wool. Even worse, the previous technician had never actually set the traps. There was mouse droppings on top of them because the mice were simply walking over them. Once the traps were properly set, we caught two mice almost immediately. A glue trap was also left in our home without our knowledge. When we finally discovered it, there was a dead mouse on it that had apparently been there for quite some time. Scheduling was another issue. Technicians repeatedly arrived 30 to 60 minutes before the scheduled appointment window. When we weren't ready because they came early, they left and didn't return, delaying service for weeks. For the amount we paid, we expected professional service. Instead, we ended up sealing our own home, removing our own dead mice, and fixing problems that should have been handled by Terminix. This inspector just comes in with the attitude of "it's not bed bugs" and simply trying not to do his job at all cost - just wanting to get out of there , like he doesn't want to do his job. When he arrived at 3:45pm, I greeted him and let him inside to inspect. As we walk through the kitchen I first wanted to show him the bug bite pics and he immediately is on defense and denial mode oh it's not bed bug it wouldn't bite the neck area(despite the bites being in a series row of three) only where the veins are , as he is pointing to the top of his wrist. Showing ZERO interest. Zero concern. Half looks at the 11 pics I tried to show him. This guy is a joke. Fire this guy to save your company. the heck is he talking about it can bite anywhere that's exposed at night. Aren't there veins on the neck too? hilarious. Already trash attitude. Doesn't want to do jack. I told him you don't need to keep talking and talking and explaining and you're not inspecting ANYTHING. Just do your job and inspect what it is if it's not bed bug like you claim, while barely even lifting a finger or trying. He proceeds to explain there's nothing to check. While not checking ANYThing. I try to scoot over the couch to the side hey look at the sideboards or anything. Nothing. He doesn't want to do anything. He won't do anything. So I just told him to get out. I reached out to Brijon Sneed, a consultant at Terminix, to express the disappointment my husband and I felt through a text message. I noted that my husband desired the area to be sanded and painted. Mr. Sneed responded, "I apologize for that ma'am, I will speak to the manager of that department to ensure it is handled correctly." On August 12, 2025, I received a call from Jose's supervisor informing me that they would not be able to complete the remaining five exclusions on the roof area due to an emergency meeting. This notification should have been provided a day earlier to prevent me from having to take time off work. I was rescheduled for August 19, 2025, at which time I presented Jose's supervisor with the text message from Brijon, which indicated that the poorly executed exclusion areas required further work. I was told, "You said your husband would do it, and it is not our responsibility to flatten and paint." I clarified that Mr. Brijon Sneed had assured me that you would take care of it and showed the text message to Jose's supervisor, who reiterated, "It is not our job to sand or paint the areas, and I will discuss this with Brijon myself." This experience has been quite stressful, as I have been addressed in an unprofessional manner and have been left with substandard work in the garage. Half a star in all honesty. Do not waste your money, time, or peace of mind with Terminix. hired Terminix after discovering subterranean termites at my home. During the initial assessment, the representative was professional and appeared knowledgeable. He showed me where holes would be drilled around the property to inject treatment into the soil and explained that Terminix would follow up every few months. Based on those assurances, I signed the contract. When the treatment was performed, however, I saw only a few holes near the front of my garage. When I asked about the rest of the property, I was told the other holes were not visible. One of the holes in front of the garage was not even capped properly. Months later, subterranean termites appeared again through the granite directly in front of that area. What followed was an exhausting series of calls, emails, portal messages, and texts to my project manager. After multiple attempts, a technician was finally scheduled to inspect and correct the work on a Saturday when I would be home. On the day of the appointment, the technician texted that could not come. Eventually, a franchise manager arrived six hours after the scheduled appointment, when I was not home--even though I had clearly explained that, because of my work, I am available only before 10 a.m. or after 5 p.m. He apparently placed some sealer over the hole near the garage and left. I received no report explaining what he inspected, what he found, what he did, or whether Terminix planned to address the active or recurring termite problem. After repeatedly trying to get answers and proper follow-through, I gave up and canceled all of my Terminix services, including my quarterly pest-control plan. I felt misled by what I was promised and completely unsupported once the contract was signed. The one positive part of my experience was my regular pest-control technician, Edwin Asencio. He was professional, punctual, thorough, and even tried to help me navigate the termite issue. Unfortunately, his good work could not make up for the company's poor communication, missed appointments, lack of documentation, and failure to resolve a serious problem. They set our inspection for sometime between 10-12, the guy was here at 10:15, that was awesome. When they say 10-12, it usually means "well be there at 11:55" Guy was fast, did a good job, gave us our options and some good pictures of below our house that were very helpful - we used this inspection to gauge how well the other people who came did. I have never reviewed or commented on anything before but hope this can help someone not get screwed. I called Terminix because I thought they were a reputable name and I was hearing noises above my bedroom. They told me it was a rodent infestation and sold me rodent exclusion, PestFree365 service, and attic insulation replacement. The problem: there were never any rodents in the attic. For over a month: Traps stayed completely empty No rodents were ever caught The noises continued The upstairs entry point I repeatedly pointed out was never inspected or sealed Terminix later told me the technician who was supposed to inspect the second floor for potential entry points had been fired, and they couldn't send anyone else. I eventually had a local wildlife professional come out just to verify the situation. They confirmed the activity was not in the attic at all. The noises were coming from a pop-out section of my upstairs roof connected to the attic, not from an attic rodent infestation. So the expensive rodent services Terminix sold me did nothing to address the actual issue. Meanwhile I couldn't sleep in my bedroom, missed work, and spent over a month dealing with noises and waiting for answers. I requested a full refund, but Terminix denied it and tried to claim the bat activity was a new issue, even though the noise problem had been ongoing since their inspection. If you expect any pest control issue, get a local independent inspection first before signing a big pest control contract. read more

If I could give minus stars, I would. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE The sales person that came to my house straight up lied to my face to trick me into signing up with them. Lie #1...He told me they would take care of the rats in my yard. Then when they came to do the service, the technician told me the only thing he could do was hand me the same cheap snap traps that you can get at the hardware store. Why would I pay for a service to put out $2 snap traps. He wasn't even going to bait them. That was on me. Lie #2...The sales person wanted me to switch from the company I had at the time, so offered to pay the cancellation fee, (which he did) and told me if I wanted or needed to cancel Terminix early, it was cheaper. That their early cancellation fee was only $149. This was something I made a point of clarifying with him because I'm a senior citizen on a fixed income. If at some point I couldn't handle the monthly fees, I needed to know I could cancel without a huge penalty. Well, since they weren't going to take care of the rats after all and their service was doing nothing to curb the spiders and beetles, I called to cancel. It was then that I was told it would be over $900 to cancel. They didn't initially send me a copy of the contract and after repeated requests by me for a copy, they still have not provided it. When I called their main line, I was told they can't see it in their system, so someone from the local office would have to get back to. Well here's a big surprise!!! They never called back. My next step, will be contacting the District Attorney to see about filing a complaint for financial elder abuse based on the lies they told to get me to sign the contract. read more

Terminix review Bad Service and Follow up The Terminix experience for my wife and I was not good . The young lady that first came to our house to do. The inspection was very nice polite and informative, but that is where courtesy and service pretty much ends. We spent almost $10,000 on this overall project. While the young lady from Terminix was at our house in the beginning, we had looked at the reviews of Terminix service online and they had a very bad rating and Now we understand why. I feel that we really got ripped off. We have termite issues and rat issues in our house. Terminix sold us a plan that handled exclusion also replacing our insulation in our attic supposedly at an R 38 level and doing extermination setting traps in our garage underneath our house and also traps outside in the ground for termites. The exclusion work seem to be dragging on and on they came out once did some work not supposed be letting any rats into our house underneath our basement or in our garage area . But they really didn't do a good job still having areas that had cracks enough for the rats to get in to our underneath crawlspace and into the garage area. We had to have Terminix come out several times complaining that they didn't really do a good job, keeping the rats out of our area and not closing up all of the gaps so the rats could come into our basement and out to our garage area. Terminix seemed like they wanted to do as a little as possible. The insulation project that Terminix had sold us was being done by a subcontractor that spoke very little English . They were supposed to bring up our insulation to an R 38 level but instead they brought it up to a R 30 level. We had to make several calls to them pointing this out. read more

We went with them even though they were more expensive than other companies because we were assured they could take care of it quickly. They jerked us around, didn't show up, and charged us before any service was completed. In the end, they couldn't even find the possum and we ended up removing it ourselves the next day. Horrid Branch Management! Outright do not care about the customer base. Horrible leadership. We discovered we had been overcharged a few times and reached out to the corporate customer service line to discuss. Their corporate saw, agreed, verified the amount and then kicked it to the local branch for resolution. The following is NOT an over embellishment... 7 months, dozens of calls, hours of phone time and numerous emails resulted in NOTHING but frustration and irritation. All of this after speaking with account manager Devante (prior to him going out on maternity leave) and being told we were owed, and a check was cut and awaiting branch manager signature (I've got voicemail reciepts of this.) So I stopped paying and they had the nerve to start sending past due notices and threats of collections. All while owing us money. Irony. I went as far as physically walking into their branch and asking to speak with Oswaldo the branch manager. Spineless as expected, he wouldn't come out of his office (which I saw him in when walking past it) and instead he sent his underling Matthew to do his bidding for him. Matthew tried to dance around the issue, trying to show their altered computer screen (nice try btw, I can change billing logs to fit a narrative too) going as far as crediting what I currently owed as if doing me a favor. News flash it's not a favor when we're owed $$. He zeroed our balance due. In the end I walked out empty handed, no check, and now planning to cancel my remaining service. Called corporate line again to cancel and while discussing the issue it came to light that the branch manager Oswaldo had made the decision to cancel the refund check, speculation says AFTER I visited the branch. I canceled our service, they sent a local service rep from a different division to remove their equipment. Being from a different division, the field tech didn't have the tools needed and decided it's mine now, and their equipment is left in my ground. I should start charging them a storage fee per unit. I like that idea. Service canceled, account closed and y'all wouldn't believe it.... They had the nerve to send another bill a full month AFTER my account was closed. Talk about incompetence. U call make apt, they arrange among themselves, but not informing me. Sometimes i get a call saying they on the way, but i am not home. Or we have apt 12-5, i get text at 5 saying they cant make it. Many many apts like that, months pass, i finally said will cancel and done. Manager Nico showed up and got garage guy, who said that terminix put rubber size too small so it was not closing gap, he said the job wasnt done well he will do it again himself and will text me personally in the future for apts, if i choose to give terminix another chance. Week later Nico checked in the traps caught few he said will send someone in a week. Then i never heard from him. I texted and called weekly, no reply, voicemail full. I made apt with corporate, they send someone and the technician says he is not excursion team so it not his job to check traps... he will contact excursion team. Never heard back. Wasted another apt. And that was going on nonstop. Month later i asked the normal terminix pest control guy who does biweekly service, he said will tell his manager, and reach out to new manager, Nico isnt with company anymore... weeks go by i was informed told manager of pest control team he said he doesnt care and wont reach out, and excursion manager as well, straight up i was told that managers dont care and wont schedule to come out!! So i asked for new managers phone number, i called 2 times and left voicemails in September. NO REPLY. So i called corporate to cancel service. I was told it will be processed in 3 days. I was traveling in Asia and after got back didnt see refund. Called again and was told someone reached out and came to agreement not to cancel. When?! What?! Never heard back and didnt agree. So again process with refunds. Each time u call the person process transfers to a cancellation department, again saying same story and trying to sell u service u try to cancel. You sure u want to cancel?! Its almost rain season, rats will come back... well if u havent show up for an apt in 6 months... rats will be there anyways?! After all my complain it was escalated to a manager and guess what the excursion new manager Matt called next day. He was rude, straight up shutting up when i talk and said we passed that, all before Nico doesnt count. We did our part and you should blame pests control team not showing up for apts. I made apt they come and say its not their job, excursion manager now blames other team. So i dont care about the internal war between departments. Why customer is left with no service while they do internal tag and war. He also said i only had 1 year service and they provided excursion service, and whats happening after aint his department issue... i had 3 years contract. To be honest, the service has been fine. However, the review is entirely for how Terminix did me in on my last service at my old property. I called them back in July 2023 to postpone my October service because we were moving to a new property and I was told that postponement was not a problem. I called them again in September to make sure there was no scheduled service for October at my property and was told there was not. Come 10/31 and I get a text from the tech saying they were performing a service. I was not notified by Terminix at all that there was a schedule serviced and by then I had already moved from the property. I talked to 4 different people in the last 2 months including a manager (Paula) who told me they were going to "investigate" my issue (none of whom ever called me back to follow up on my issue despite promises to call me). I get told that it was determined that it's my fault that I didn't cancel the service in time (more than 24 hour notice). Whoever did the haphazard "investigation" probably didn't read the notes like the other 4 people I spoke to who I had to re-explain the situation every time and then get told "there are a lot of notes here." I called in July and September - I did give notice way more than 24 hours earlier. How is it my fault when I confirmed postponement of service and was told by customer service they would move the service? Am I just supposed to check my Terminix account each day to make sure Terminix doesn't screw me and just come out because they feel like it? I've been in customer service and sales for 14 years and when a situation like this happens, you as a company admit the fault and remove the charge. It's a basic customer service grant. Instead, Terminix's collections team offers a discount on the past due service fee and then a "free" new service at my new property. I'm an extremely fair and patient person normally and paying the service fee is not the issue (I did end up paying). but it's a matter of principle. And in Terminix's case, they have none. After this experience, why would I ever want to work with this company and get myself screwed again? No thanks. Work with them if you please. I would give a 0 star if I could! Do yourself a huge favor, frustrations and headaches and stay away from this company! Hire any other company and you'll be glad you did. I made a mistake and didn't do my due diligence of reading yelp bad reviews and blindly hired them because I assumed they are large reputable company that is customer service oriented- however they are not! We hired them to for pest control and rodent control which was over $1800, the tech was only here for 2 hours and the results were horrendous. They didn't seal all the entries visible from outside the house and their workmanship of building our crawl space door was made of particle board instead of wood (not weather resistant at all and had a gap that rodents could easily enter our home. It took at least 6 days get a hold of the service manager and that was because I had to ask the home inspector for his phone # because I couldn't get any response by calling their Terminix (call center). Forget trying to call into their office because there's no way of getting a hold of someone from the branch because all calls gets automatically transferred to call center. Even the call center admitted that they can't directly get a hold of the branch, and have to email/send them message. Basically when you call in you have to leave a message with the customer service and they would say they will document the notes for someone from the branch to call you back in 24-48 hours. Don't hold your breath because no one from the branch will call you back. So it's a vicious cycle of you calling back in and speaking to call center and waiting game again. Even if you request to speak/escalate to management, that request is ignored and falls on deaf ears. And forget about trying to call corporate because they don't help. Call center says corporate doesn't get involved when branch can handle it but the problem is you can't get a hold of the branch directly to handle it. When you finally do get a hold of the service manager Matt, don't expect for him to be customer oriented. The tech did the incomplete service and not up to your expectations as outline on the agreement and you want to request full refund instead of having them come back, then the service manager will say no I can't refund you for the incomplete service and will only offer revisit. Also if you request to speak to branch manager Oswaldo when calling into Terminix, don't hold your breath either that he'll call you back. What kind of a company doesn't refund you when they do an incomplete service and you want a refund instead of consenting for them to return to correct their mistakes? I regret hiring them and for anyone thinking of hiring them, pause and read the majority of negative reviews. It has its merits! Run. Find a different company. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I had a listing in Oakland, and some "technician" came by, walked around the house, and did not find any dry rot (the house was 100 years old); however, I found some battles and fungus under the house. He wanted to charge me 7k to remove both. We did not have beetles, and fungus cost a few hundred dollars to remove. I went ahead and asked for a second opinion and found out I had 17k in dry rot on the foundation, which is scary, and no beetles. This is my 5th complaint about this company. Trying to get them to respond to my request for service is like a full time job! No one is available to resolve this issue!! Terminex has been unresponsive regarding an issue I have had with this company since March 2023. I have called at least a half a dozen times and only reached people in the call center who promise me someone would call me back. I have been a member since 2011. I found several numbers for Terminex on the internet and all my calls end up going to the call center. This has been a frustrating vicious cycle! 1am writing this review for my service technician, Jason Swanson. I was initially scheduled for an inspection for the weekend and Jason reached out to me and was able to schedule a next day appointment. I was unable to meet Jason the day of the inspection, however he went ahead and did it and sent me updates via cell phone pictures and calls Jason went above and beyond and did a very thorough inspection of my newly purchased property. He inspected the very small crawlspace that every other inspector refused to go into as well as the attic and the rest of the property. Jason has been extremely great with communication and continues to keep me updated regularly. I love how detailed and thorough he is. Thank you so much Jason and I look forward to working with you. Heat treatment for pest- Sweet guy, BUT he scratched the hardwood floors, Fried the electrical in the house. Barely tented the house. Left filthy hand prints on the drapes and newly painted walls and didnt flush the toilet after number 2., The house never got above 88 degrees and as he was leaving he knocked a huge branch off the neighbors tree. Terminex apologized profusely and promised a different company. They begged for a second chance. I relented. Cleared the house for the next company and.... they never showed up. Avoid at all costs. Good things first: Free estimate, prompt response(especially when you have new business for them). Objective facts: (1) Non-professional inspection. The inspector stops by and recommend the full house heating treatment. We accept his plan and then when the outsourced company arrive at our house and found out that all the water sprinkler need to be shut down to avoid false alarm. The cost of shutting down water sprinkler is 80$ each, however, the inspector is lack of common knowledge to even check this must-checked, number 1 item. That happens after we move all the household items out of the house.... (2) Out sourcing: Terminix outsource the job to other companies (3) Fall-back plan not satisfied: The fall-back plan is to spray the chemicals. The total cost is 1600$ for 8 times, we used once already. It changed the schedule at last min without notifying the customer once, and then second time, a guy show up, spray for 10 min and leave. Non professional and not responsible. Strongly not recommend this company due to its lack of profession, non-responsible for mistakes, and under-services. read more
