We hired Terminix in December 2018 because rats ate through hoses under my BMW car. Lamar, the company representative, came out to our house set up the contract. Within a few days, the first team arrived and worked on our house. Couple weeks later a second team followed up on their work. During this period, we bought another car. Specifically we asked the second team if we could put my car in the garage. They confirmed that "yes" we could. Within a couple of days, there was damage to the vehicle again by the rats that were supposed to be eliminated. We immediately contacted the local terminix franchise that had done the work. That same day, Mike, the local manager, came to our residence and inspected the garage area which was the original reason for calling terminix. Within a few days, Mike and another technician returned to our house and repeated the company actions for the third time. When we went into the office in Pleasanton, Mike pointed out the paragraph in the contract that gives the reason why their work is sooo limited. There are 19 statements under terms & conditions. I was not asked to initial any of the terms or conditions. Eliminating the rats was the initial reason to hire terminix with specific emphasis on the garage area. After Terminix came over three times, my BMW is back in the shop for the fourth time. We are out $2000.00 because we have to pay our insurance deductible. Of course my insurance rate is going up, so I will continue to pay more. When I call Pleasanton, Mike is always out in the field and does not return phone calls. I have called and emailed the corporate office in Tennessee and no-one has contacted me. When I called Tennessee today and last friday, corporate was not able to contact Mike nor have they returned my calls like they said they would. . read more

I have had Terminix as my pest control for a while and I recently noticed wasps in my backyard. I scheduled a follow up appointment online and Daniel (tech number 58540) was able to come out the next day. He was very thorough, addressed the wasp issue in the shed and then went through the entire backyard to check for other nests. If I could, I will give them 0. They are very unprofessional and not service oriented. I book an appt and they did not show up. Then I called them back and rescheduled for another day. And they dont show up and I called 4 times on that day as they were trying to reach their so called technical expert who wont respond to their own office. They rescheduled again, so not to be surprised he wont show up again and sends me message 1 hr after appt time that he wont come and booked for next 2 weeks. Again I called cust support and they asked if I want to reschedule. Lol ... they are pathetic and irresponsible. They could atleast send me cancellation notice a day or so before. read more

Lousy, lousy, lousy customer service from the local office. I have a paid annual service and the annual inspection determined that I have termites. The recommendation was fumigation. The inspector (who was polite, knowledgeable, and helpful) said he'd submit his report and then I would be contacted in follow-up. Never happened. And then I worked on getting a response. I've had multiple unreturned phone calls, extensive holds (exceeding 30 minutes), and was told that I need a second inspection. The second inspection was scheduled but the inspector never showed up. More unreturned phone calls followed. I did see a field inspector the other day and asked for his advice. He tried to look into it but was unable to get a response from the office! My sense is that the field technicians/inspectors are very good but the office/administration management has no concept of customer service. I will be looking at other options when my contract expires. read more

Pl. dont use Terminix service ever. Folks first stored wrong personal information and then without informing us prior already did service. Upon asking to revert the charges, they are spending more than a month on this request and so far no solution. All the call center departments are passing request from one another. I made so many phone calls. They make internal decisions such as denying my request for refund without even informing me. I was clearly told that I will be called by the branch about a week ago! Finally when I called today to know status, I came to know that they are still denying their mistake and charging me for wrong. Very unprofessional behavior. More than the amount I wasted, I felt I totally wasted my pride. I am waiting for branch manager to call me. If I don't receive call, I would have to write written complaint as per their standard operating procedure. read more

I signed up with Terminix yesterday and they promised me that they can have someone out to my place today. The manager called me and told me that they apologize and couldn't get anyone out here. I was very upset with them cause I have small kids in my home and too many ants, spiders, etc. The district manager then called me and I explained to her how upset I was with them. That's why I had signed up with Terminix so that they can have someone out here ASAP. She then tells me that there is this one technician she can call but he is booked solid but can try calling him to see if he can make it today, but has to be at the end of the day. DANIEL MORRIS shows up at the house after 4pm. Even though he had a full day, he still came! Needless to say, he was soo experienced, very thorough, and took his time explaining everything to me. He treated inside and explained what he will be doing outside. I couldn't have asked for a better technician!! He's the best! Ask for him! read more

Less than 1 star! Paid big for attic insulation removal and placement sealing the roof access... to No avail. After serval efforts to get this fix and remove Rats managers said that they should of never taken the job. I now have an area where the rats have chewed or scratched through the ceil sheetrock! This company's customer service needs improvement. I was called for my annual inspection and went ahead and scheduled it. Then I get another call about annual "exclusion" inspection and I figure oh ok, let's schedule that too. She states the "schedulers" will have to call me back. THEN I get a third call to schedule my annual inspection. I am now confused at this point and explain that I was already called twice, once for termite and once for exclusion and that I had an appointment for the annual termite already and told her the date. Kimberly then said no I didn't. Uh did I imagine the previous call. She then said that they couldn't have called me for exclusion because that would cost. I am so confused and frustrated at this point and my voice is raised because Kimberly keeps trying to talk over me. She then tells me to quit being so aggressive. I said just have someone else call me and she hung up. I get a fourth call for the annual inspection and again they can't make the appointment but will have to have the "schedulers" call me back. WHAT IS WRONG with this company. Any other recommendations for termite inspection services??? read more

I've been very pleased with the service Terminix has provided for many years now. I really appreciate that the service technicians that come to my house call me beforehand to remind me that they will be at my house and ask if I have any particular problems. My technician, Andrew, has been very good about addressing my recent issues with ants and also has said that I can call back to have him come out again if I have any additional problems before my next service visit. I really appreciate this customized service and Andrew's attentiveness to current pest issues. I feel like Terminix has done a very good job in addressing my concerns and I will continue to use Terminix in the future. read more

I have been a homeowner for 15 years in Berkeley and have had many vendors service my home. I have never experienced worse customer service than Terminix. I have rats in my attic because of openings from the exterior. My kids, husband and I are struggling to sleep b/c of the noise in the ceiling. We are sleeping downstairs in the living room to get away from it. Weeks ago I paid $1,543 for exclusion service. The technician did an inspection and came back to "finish" repairs. He left areas open that clearly needed closed. Since then I have texted him, called him, called the Tennessee headquarters, the Arizona headquarters, chatted on line, emailed and been hung up on after long waits on the phone and transfers that didn't go through and no return call from Kelvin Johnson the branch manager of my local terminix (out of Pleasanton I believe) after being promised by operators. The most I have gotten is sympathetic rat trap checkers and sprayers who say they too are letting the manager know, the technician know. To no avail. Today I finally told them I am done. Asking for my money back. I know now that the reputation of Terminix is that they don't come back. Don't be fooled into signing a contract for this type of service with them. Plus, they don't even clean the droppings or disinfect the infected areas. It's not quality work, good customer service, or accountability and I strongly recommend others avoid using them. read more

when i originally discovered termite activity, fortunately before any damage, in one of our basements in 2012 i contacted terminix. they acted quickly to give an estimate that in my opinion was reasonable. they then exterminated the entire property and there have been no re-infestations. i then purchased the renewable contract that would cover future infestations and an annual re-inspection. every year terminix sends an associate to do the re-inspection and thus far, no sign of any termite activity. on 8/2/17 we had this years re-inspection, marvin and an associate that marvin was training did the walkthrough. they did a superb, very thorough job on a property that's difficult to inspect because of the the many levels and steep hillside lot. thank you terminix for working to keep my home safe from these pests. read more

All the reviews stating that workers are lazy are 100% true. We had monthly services to our home and every time they came, their reports said there were no signs of any pests, not even ants. Well god, even I can see ants in my yard! We ended up getting ants in our house during the time we had monthly services from them, but Raid fixed that issue for us. They also sold us on the services by saying they'd spray inside and in our garage. They never did either. The first time they were supposed to do inside they said they couldn't because our son was too young (2 weeks old at the time), so they'd come back for that. Never happened. The last time they came, they said they showed up and were too short to open the gate on our side yard, so they just left. Well, since they didn't do anything, we didn't pay the $99 and just didn't continue with monthly services. A few months later, we start getting calls asking for the money. After discussing with their billing department, we were told to just cancel after they came out one last time. The appointment was scheduled for last Friday between 10 and 12. Our son was sick so I was waiting around for them before I could take him to the doctor. I also put our dogs in their crates and left our side gate completely open with a note on the door that said "Terminix, the gate is open" so I could nurse my son upstairs uninterrupted in case they came, even though I didn't feel comfortable doing all that, I didn't want to risk another "too short to open the gate" incident just because I was stuck taking care of a sick infant. I was downstairs from 11-12 playing with my son in our front room expecting to see someone any minute. 12 came and went, no Terminix. Finally at 1pm, an hour after the end of the appointment window, I decided to lock the side gate, add a padlock so they could just show up without my permission, let my dogs out, and got to go to my son's doctor. The topper on all this? We've seen 2 cockroaches in our garage this week. That coupled with spiders, earwigs, and ants galore! So much for "no pests detected". Overall, Terminix was not only a huge waste of time but a giant waste of money! I'll be calling a local exterminator who actually gives a damn about their customer service to come help me now! read more

We have been with Terminix (and its acquired companies) for over 30 years. We became extremely satisfied customers when Daniel Morris FR 46196 was assigned to our account about 7 years ago. We became less satisfied 2 years ago when Daniel's territory was split and we were assigned a new Technician. Repeated calls to have Daniel reassigned to our account went no where. We were due for our quarterly service this month. I received an email on 10/4 stating that our service was scheduled for 10/8 between 12-2pm. No call and no show on 10/8. Checked account online to see service appt was changed to 10/18 between 3-5pm. Again no call and no show on 10/18. Checked our account online and saw the service appt was changed to 10/23. This time I called Customer Service, explained issue with 2 previous appts and asked why we couldn't have Daniel Morris back on our account. Service Rep looked and said Daniel is available on 10/24 between 1-3pm. Book it!!! Asked why other request to have Daniel assigned to our account were ignored? She could not say. That brings us to today. Daniel called on Tuesday evening to let us know he would be by between 1-3pm on Thursday, just like he always does. He arrived shortly after 1pm. It was like old times. He remembered we have dogs, only 1 now as other 2 had past. Daniel is prompt, friendly, professional, and provides great service. He takes the time to explain what he did and to make sure we keep the dog inside until everything is dry. It is great to have Daniel back!!!! Will stay with Terminix as long as Daniel is our Technician. read more

Appalling that they met my landlord a for a pre inspection, set a time to come and never showed. They never returned mine or my landlord's attempt to reschedule and she is rich. Unprofessional.. and when I called to follow up, I was repeatedly rerouted. Their delay just allowed me to get bitten more ans my landlord has a contract. Never again. He was very informative and super detailed about what he was going to spray and then took me through the house afterwards and showed me what he did inside and out. I am a property manager for a luxury apartment complex in Fremont. I originally requested Terminix to come inspect a unit that had termites. At first their representative Don was very prompt in performing the inspection and scheduling the treatment. After the treatment was conducted, within a few days the termites reappeared. Since then we have been contacting Terminix on a weekly basis to have this unit treated. Not only have we have the retreatment scheduled 3 times but each time the technician has been a no show. The resident living in the unit decided to move out because of the problem, and now we have an empty apartment on which we've lost $1645 to-date. I called the main office since the original representative Don has not followed through. I spoke with the scheduler Kelvin who has no record of the retreatment ever being scheduled! Not only this but Kelvin was unable to "schedule" us again for another 7 days. So we will lose another $548 in rent. We requested to be compensated for our losses in some fashion, especially after having paid $1200 for a service that was ineffective, and Kelvin just danced around the request. This type of service in beyond inadequate. read more

Beware there is no one to help you once you bite their bait.I was promised liquid treatment and Bait stations installations for subterranean termite issue.But they came with only Bait station.Then I had to call and request for the liquid treatment again.With this kind of service,I assume I would have got some "water" treatment in my crawl space as part of the so called liquid treatment.They will call you until they get your sign on their contract form and then the sales agent disappears and you have to deal with the "call center" queue to sort out your issues.I repent not picking Hi-Tech termite for my job as they did a superb inspection of my home,but fell for the "BAIT-STATION " jargon of Terminix! read more

My Service Technician James Stinson is wonderful. He really cares about the service he provides to the customer. He is patient, explains all that he is doing to the home and is very knowledgeable. He came to my home even though I did no have an appointment. I have been scheduled several times for appointments, however the Technicians don't show. I had requested James and happen to have his number to confirm the appointment. Although I was not on his service roster for the day, he did come and service the house. However, the Company's scheduling program is a joke and does not appear to work very well. Please, Terminix, fix your scheduling program. read more

The Terminix rep did a quick inspection, without going into my crawl space or attic and immediately told me my house had to be tented because I had dry wood termites that were active. Others (admittedly not in the termite business) said it looked inactive. And others said they had dry wood termites and did not need to get tented. I canceled the tent service and requested they do a full inspection including attic and crawl space but never heard back. I called again a few days later and they didn't have it scheduled at all. I think once I told them I was getting a second opinion, they lost interest in giving me a 'free inspection'. After being told I had to get tented and attempts to up-sell me with additional unneeded services (including $750 to lay a tarp down in the crawl space because of dampness) I have came away questioning the truthfulness of this company and do not feel comfortable in trusting them. read more

Once my smaller pest control company became Terminix, I have not had good service and I haven't felt like the pests (particularly spiders) are controlled. I scheduled an in between service which they offer and had a no show for an inside service appointment that I waited at home for. Multiple calls with long hold times to customer service with promises of a return phone call from the Pleasanton branch manager that I never got. I finally got another appointment and the technician came today. I asked him to spray the outside and he said it wouldn't help so he didn't. He sprayed the windows inside and knocked down the spider webs and basically said I am stuck with a spider problem. He said I should knock down the webs a couple of times a month. Then what exactly am I paying Terminix for??? read more
