This goes back to almost a year. After repeated requests for a refund and constant referrals to the local office, no one has ever reached out to me. I used to use this business for my home in the Coachella Valley. And my neighbors up here In Big Bear decided to try and use them. The representative for them showed up, did a thorough examination of the property sprayed, checked out what was the issue and wipd down all their cobwebs, etc. etc. And for me, they sent out someone who did not even deal with pest control. He dealt with termite renovations. So he filled a little half jug of water with some pesticide and sprayed my property without even addressing the greater issue as to where they are entering the house. So needless to say, the aunt situation reoccurred within a day. And I mean, reoccurred. I mean it was widespread throughout my kitchen, my bedroom, everywhere. So I called them back and said hey I need some help and the response was well, we will get somebody out there next week. Well needless to say I was more than disappointed. I mean, I could have spent a fair amount of money and spread insecticide throughout the property and around the property and done all that stuff, but that would not have solved the problem. So after researching on my own and finding some solutions, I have been able to handle it on my own. I have sealed up cracks and found a legitimate company that offers legitimate sprays and I am doing fine. I have two requestsed attempts to ask for a reimbursement. I have received nothing and no comments from the local office. So would I refer these people? Absolutely not! I think they are the most worthless company on the face of the planet! A month ago I called and initiated a business with Terminix for a monthly charge of 40 some dollars and they scheduled it for a month later on October 2 and they sent me three text to confirm the timing and I confirmed and nobody showed up. Nobody called me the time pass and after an hour over the time that was sent I send a message I couldn't get through the chat then I called and the person says let me get the manager. The manager comes. Oh sorry the associate is on LOA. I took a two year plan to rid my attic of rats and Terminix came one time; asked for a bag to take the rat away; said they would return in a week; never returned; called them and was told the tech person could not schedule and I asked who could and they really didn't answer. I was then charged $1350 for two years and they were not even calling me or checking the rats in attic. I asked my bank to dispute the charge which is still on-going and then asked terminix to cancel my contract and they have told me i can only cancel the warranty. So $1350 for nothing and now they are bullying me telling me they will report it on my credit. I'm an old man with mobility issues and they continue to want $1350 for nothing. Is this fair? A housekeeping service came in to clean my guest house and said the tiny spots on the linens were bedbugs It was so upsetting that I immediately called two pest control companies to come out for inspections. Two guys from Terminix came over and spent about 5 minutes doing a cursory inspection. They said I definitely had bed bugs and the cost for a steam cleaning would be about $1,400, but that process didn't really get rid of the bed bugs permanently. The best solution was a $1,900 eight hour heat process that would kill them for good, but the heat might warp all the wood shutters on the windows. I received the inspection report which stated I not only had bed bugs, but they added termites as well. No inspection photos and no mention of the $1,900 heat repair service. Only a $1,400 estimate for steam cleaning. The next day a man named Richard DeMoss from Purcor Pest Solutions came over to do an inspection. He spent over an hour here and inspected every square inch of the mattress, every piece of bedding, including the sheets and duvet cover I had thrown in the trash can, the bed frame, floors, windows and door frames, inside and out. The most thorough inspection I've ever seen. He told me without hesitation that there was no evidence of bed bug or termite activity anywhere, NONE. The only finding was normal dust and dirt specks that blew in from open doors or windows. He was honorable and forthright, telling me the truth, knowing there would be no service required, no sale or fee to collect. I can't tell you how relieved I was, and how thankful I was to have found an honest, trustworthy pest company. I filed a complaint with Terminix and warn anyone who lives in the desert to distrust them entirely. read more

I have been a customer for 10 years. It was good while it lasted. Unfortunately corporate decided to charge me for a 5th QUARTER in 1 year (not very good at math, right?). Customer service can see the error, and admit to it, but per their management, they cannot fix it. So due to that, I have to pay an extra charge for an imaginary quarter, after paying annually for 10 years. Amazing and unbelievable I know, but I swear that is what happened. All the customer service rep can do is apologize for how bad their management is in their company. Asked for a real estate inspection. Charged me $150.00 for estimate (thought it was free) and then did not provide an estimate to repair. They found less than 6 droppings in one and only one place in detached garage and as a result said that they had to tent entire home structure for over $17K. Just caught Terminix in a lie after a termite inspection. I had them out for a second opinion on subterranean termites after they were discovered by Orkin. The inspector from Orkin inspected under my home, and inside of my attic a week ago. Terminix comes out today to do another inspection and to provide a second quote for work. The inspector from Terminix performs the same inspection, and tells me there are no subterranean termites, but dry wood termites. After providing a price and pushing for me to schedule right then and there, I climb into my attic to the spot he claimed to have found a large pile of termite droppings (which he had quickly shown me a picture of). I spent 20 minutes combing my attic over and could not find his mysterious pile. Mind you, he placed a sticker on my water heater that indicated my home has an active drywood termite inspection. Evidently a portion of their business model depends on people not willing to climb in their own attic. read more

So this company took over Desert Pacific Extermination in the high desert of Southern California. We ordered a termite inspection from Desert Pacific Extermination and they came out preformed they service and were paid by Homelight Escrow. When Terminix took over this company months after closing escrow they sent my Buyer a bill for $85. Keep in mind we paid the company that did the service the $75 they charged us already. After 5 calls, escalation from Mila at the Florida Call center(keep in mind we are in California) they never removed this bill and the regional manager never contacted me. At this point for the $85 I have spent well over 6 hours following up on this. I make well over $85 per hour. So I have decided to pay these cronies for their extortion and harassment of my clients fear that they may put a lien on the property if not paid. So today I broke down and pod them. I had a monthly account with them since 1999 and asked them to do a second treatment for the month to get rid of crickets. They told me they no longer are legally allowed to treat for crickets. The comment sounded so ridiculous I asked to speak to a supervisor. I spoke with two separate "supervisors" one named Maurice and one named Wendy or Wanda and they both told me a new law passed in January and they could no longer treat for crickets. As a longtime Coachella Valley Realtor who's worked with most of the local termite companies, I recommend steering clear of this national chain because of its high costs and complete lack of professionalism. I recently sought a quote for a termite-inspection report on behalf of clients in escrow on their home and only called Terminix because the owners were long-standing clients of the company. I spoke with a rep from HQ who said she couldn't give me a quote, payment could not be made through escrow, assured me there would be a discount, and said to expect a prefatory call from the inspector before the inspection took place the next day. That didn't occur and my clients were charged $150 at the time of service, a bill which they paid via credit card. I would not have authorized the inspection at this price since the tab should have been approximately $75. I later spoke with two more company reps about my displeasure, was disconnected from the first, and told by the second that someone from the local Palm Springs company would call and address the issue. That did not happen. Because my clients are in the process of moving, they didn't even have computer access with which to retrieve the inspection report, a critical contingency during the escrow process. So, they're out $150 and I am bereft of a termite clearance. I recommend using local companies such as Rudy's, Frazier's or Fantastic!. Postscript: I discovered that most local companies do not even charge existing customers for this service in the moving process. Double shame. read more

Oh wow, let me tell you we discovered what looked like termite droppings in a part of our home. We called terminix right ? This sales guy for Palm Springs " Travis " showed up. We pointed out the droppings that looked like termites. He said , big infestation . You need to be tented. Ok. He measured and $ 5400 later...... Here is where it went south quick. After paying in full up front, he said " Fuming manager" will give you a call today to confirm next weeks tenting. This was Wednesday week prior to Memorial Day. So by Friday we heard nothing, Monday was Memorial Day . We need to bag food in fridge and cabinets and make arrangements to stay elsewhere with our dog. No call was ever made by them. I called "Travis" on Friday , no answer. Left him a message ," are you guys coming on Tuesday cause Monday is a holiday and we need an answer before Tuesday. No call back. I called the terminix exchange. Asked her, she had me on hold for 15 min. Had to hang up. I called back , nice lady then answered looked into it and said you are scheduled between 8:00 and 10:00 AM on Tuesday. Travis called finally at 9:45 on Tuesday ( day of tenting ). I told him we need to know what is going on we were told between 8:00 and 10:00. He said " I called fuming manager today and it may be around 11:00 before they get there. "Why didn't he call us before to tell us that ? He said call me if they are not there before 11:00. We did. He never returned our call. They showed up from San Bernardino at 11:30 they are unorganized, disconnected from communication and very uninformed to you as a client. We left them a key to our house and drove off and realized they never confirmed how to get the key back to us. We turned back, one guy said " oh we forgot to ask you, where should we leave the key ?" Really ! This is a 1,000,000 plus home ! Guys use someone local in Coachella Valley to tent for termites. read more

I called Terminix to get an idea of how much it would be for treatment for bed bugs. I suspected my daughter might have them in her room but I was not certain. The man I talked to said that they would have to do a home inspection in order to give me a quote. He asked " do you want to schedule a home inspection now?" I didn't need a complete home inspection either and I didn't want to book an inspection just to find out I could not afford it. I said it would be just one bedroom and could he give me just a ballpark figure between $100 to $300 or between $400 and $600. It makes a difference. He replied impatiently and louder " The only way to get a quote is to schedule a home inspection, do you want to schedule and inspection right now?! He was rude had no idea what professionalism is or business manners. I wanted to tell him that I first wanted to have just a ballpark range idea to see if I could even afford something like that but he hung up on me three words in.
