I am glad that so many people like this place, and that it gets a lot of love. Unfortunately, for me the food was not very good. The pancakes were rubbery, the fried potatoes had no seasoning, and the shredded pork omelette special which had the potential to be really great also fell flat due to lack of seasoning/flavor. There was only a tiny amount of Chile verde on top. I had to add a bunch of Tapatio to give it any flavor. Maybe I just caught them on an off day. read more

We trusted our Yelp community for this breakfast spot on our first trip to Boise. It did not disappoint in any way. Beverly, our server was fantastic. She recommended the huckleberry pancakes and their in house made corn beef hash! Both were excellent! This is definitely my favorite place to come for breakfast!! The eggs are ALWAYS cooked EXACTLY how you ask them to be cooked! The bacon is NEVER too crispy unless you specifically ask for crispy bacon and unlike some breakfast places, the hash browns are TO DIE FOR! Overall, the food is delicious and the service is great! Terri's Cafe is the place to go for great tasting and great value breakfast and lunch. My friend and I have been going there at least once a week for two years and I can tell you that the high quality consistency of their food and service is unparalleled in the valley. We especially enjoy being helped by Amber who treats us like part of the family and remembers exactly our preferred and sometimes complicated food prep which is a big deal for me. I visited Terri's with my mom last Saturday. We experienced excellent service and delicious food!!! I can't wait to take my husband there! The sausage gravy was the best I ever had and the pumpkin pancakes were amazing too. Mom had the sausage sampler and after tasting their house made sausages we both left with several pounds for home. 3rd time was NOT the charm. More like 3 stikes and we are done! 1st visit our food was good, wait was long, yet service was pretty good despite the big crowd. We were excited to share with friends...2nd visit service was rude and short, food was cold and even though 3 out of 4 of our party had arrived Terri would not seat us remarking she had been burned before... this weekend we gave it a 3rd visit. Arrived at 1:45. Rush hour over hoping to get the food we had enjoyed on our 1st visit. We were seated & given waters. Terri took her belongings and left the building... our waitress ATE at the counter while 2 other waitresses bussed and restocked their empty stations. We waited 14 minutes were never acknowledged so as our waitress enjoyed her brunch we WALKED OUT! and will never return...what a shame. read more

I never heard of it but wanted to give it a try AND support a local business that supports the community. It was delicious. Had the huckleberry pancakes and their homemade sausage. Went to Terry's for lunch because they have great coffee, I ordered a burger and hash browns, wife ordered eggs and hash browns. Something was wrong with my burger it just wasn't right not sure what is was, I told my wife somethings weird with my burger didn't taste right. I got half the burger down set it down and quit eating my hash browns too and went back to my coffee. I told my wife somethings wrong with my food, she said her eggs were OK but hash browns weren't crispy as she requested instead almost uncooked, we realized our food was half cooked, my burger patty was raw in the middle and hash browns were not cooked long enough. I don't complain about food or send it back and don't enjoy the company of people that do that either, I'll go back because of the great coffee but will order foods usually not stored frozen like eggs, bacon, English muffins, its just hard to find a place that serves great coffee and Steve's now Terry's has great coffee now needs to work on serving great food. I really like this restaurant. Normally I would give them a 4 at least. But this morning when I ordered my eggs over easy the whites came very runny and ran all over my plate. I did not eat them. I simply asked them to take them off of my bill. Someone (presumably a manager) came over to argue with me that I didn't know how to order my eggs! Customer is only half right here. I asked my Waitress Kristina if they had gluten free pancakes, and my waitress said Yes and went on to tell me that I could add a choice of fruit in my batter, I asked if it was extra, and she said No it was not extra and I was charged 3.75 extra on my receipt. Mentioned to my waitress that I was unaware that the gluten pancakes were extra.. she went to see if she could make it right with the owner. And the owner came back with a new receipt and said, "I went ahead and took 2 dollars off(not the whole 3.75) and completely ignored the fact that I was unaware that it was extra when I made mention to her (the owner) . all she said was, "yea well, she was supposed to go over that with you". I had to literally argue with the lady to take that extra 1.75 off my receipt. Pretty ridiculous if you ask me. It's more about the principal than the amount. If she had gone over with me that it was extra, I would have just got the regular pancakes. I'm not on a diet that restricts me from eating gluten, Just that it was a healthier alternative. I won't be coming back to say the lease. Make sure to go over your receipt with this place. They will get you on the extra charges if your not paying attention. read more

Really good breakfast options. I went with my family and everyone loved it. The huckleberry pancakes are amazing! The huckleberry "syrup" isn't like regular syrup. It's homemade and tastes amazing! I had their biscuits and gravy and Oh. My. Gosh they were amazing!! The gravy is made with the sausage oils (like they are supposed to) and it made you just want to keep eating.
