Ts comfort bowl. What in the world is this?
    Maria H.

This was descibed as a comfort bowl with chicken, mushroom gravy and mash potato. I did get to choose my gravy but come on. This looked like a bowl of ceral gone bad and tasted like milk. There was no flavor and where were the mushrooms?? I came here because all of the reviews I read said it was so good but now I question how drunk everyone was. Save your money and dont come here.

Terry's Kitchen serves a mix of Hawaiian and Chinese-style comfort food--kind of hard to categorize, but it works. It's decent overall and very reasonably priced for the area. I personally like their loco moco, which is the standout for me. The fried rice and chow mein are pretty bland and not anything special, but the service is always very kind and welcoming, which goes a long way. It's not a must-have spot, but definitely good once in a while when you're looking for something casual and affordable.

Hawk Chicken Fried Steak - great gravy and just added a little sriracha for fun to go.

One more reason to love Terry's. In addition to the killer smoked prime rib on Thursdays I decided to give the Hawks Chicken Fried Steak a try. Could be my favorite in Seattle. So many places seem to serve up a semi-gristly kind of beef but Terry's was really nice. Not a tough chewy affair but a tasty one without all the extra work just getting it down. :D Add to that the always great drinks and we always go away happy. Enjoyed it so much that even though we were there to experience live music (highly recommended!) I grabbed an order to go. A+++

This eastside neighborhood eatery has been rocking it and the atmosphere harkens to a scene from the sitcom Cheers! Both the bar and restaurant vibes are quaint and offers great food and drinks! We had the daily special which was a country fried steak, potatoes and an over easy egg. We also had the wasabi baked salmon and fish & chips (subbed in tater tots). For those in the know they've taken some old school South Seattle favs like Imperial Lanes Bowling Alley, South China Restaurant and other ID's favs and incorporated them into their delightful menu. Don't forget a lime freeze! The service is always nice and they're very attentive to all their customers.

Very good comfort food super close to where I live. I got the Chinatown garlic spareribs and the flavors were really spot on. I love how every entree came with mac salad.

I just love this place! My husband goes here every week for pool and he buys me food while he shoots pool. Our favorite is the garlic spareribs. We also love the katsudon, meatloaf, and country fried chicken. Oh and the caramel toffee cake is amazing! Terry is just nice and cool. The staff is amazing and friendly as well! The place itself is very chill. I don't mind hanging out here while my husband shoots pool since the people are cool, the food is amazing, and the spot is chill.

Walkable from my house, I brought my family for dinner. The menu, billed as "comfort food", delivers on that promise. Tater tots and crispy spare ribs warmed us up for tofu chow mein and chicken karaage. The meat dishes were the stars for me, as the spare ribs were tender but crispy at the same time, and the karaage was perfectly crispy and juicy. The portions are astounding, we took more home than we ate. Value was high. Service was very attentive and friendly. I would recommend Terry's to anyone looking for comfort in the bottom of a meat platter.

I've been here twice now and sad I didn't take a picture of my food before. So the first time I ever had Terry's kitchen was a few days after Saint Patty's day. And for some reason on their online menu, they still had corned beef and cabbage, and then when I got to the restaurant, they were like oh we are no longer serving that I'm so sorry which I was absolutely devastated because I love corned beef and cabbage and I hadn't had a chance to have any. So they had me wait a little bit and the chef managed to find a little bit of corned beef and make it for me. And the corned beef was phenomenal. The slices were cut really thick and it just melted in your mouth like butter. Everything else with the cabbage and then the carrots and the mashed potatoes were pretty basic and generally good but that corned beef was absolutely stunning. Service here can be interesting when it comes to waiters, like being ignored to over service. I came in and got a rare hamburger and added cheddar cheese and garlic tater tots which both were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I will keep coming here but I prefer to takeout vs dining in. It's lovely inside the place. But again you never know what you're going to get when it comes to your host/waiter

Local family favorite, especially if you're looking for an island plate lunch or dinner. I have dined in the main dining area and for an event in the event space.

One of my favorite things in Hawaii is there fried rice. So very thankful to have it even closer. Also, I recently went back to Hawaii and had what I thought was my favorite rice and now I realize Terry's kitchen hands-down kitchen sink will always now be my favorite. They also make amazing fish and chips, salmon, with wasabi sauce, and the crispy chicken with almond sauce. It's all delicious. Great people with friendly service and ambience is clean and nice.

Decided to try a new place for dinner and this spot offered a good mix of variety and was not far away (great for me you'll see why). Located on the side of a small grocery store which is nice because parking is ample, a bit hidden but imo awesome because it's lowkey. After seating and looking over the menu my wife and brother in law decided to try out the "Sassy Chicken Wings" to share which I've read other reviews talking about the wings are pretty solid here and I am a wing-a-holic. They were honestly the best wings I've had in a long time. Sweet, tangy, sticky, crunchy and juicy.. my stomach rumbled as I wrote those last few words haha those are a MUST try if you stop by. For my entree I went with the Fish & chips which were great as well. Super fresh and juicy big fillets fried till a perfect crisp. My wife opted for the hamburger which has a good amount of add on options to customize it to your liking. She added a hot link which is not common and we're suckers for a hot link burger! Paired with some nice crispy fries tasted great! Nice spice with a great burger another solid choice. Brother in law got the prime rib dip sandwich with au ju, he said it was also great paired with fries. Personally everything was great and I'm happy that my wife decided to try this spot because it's our new go to. Those wings, nice and chill vibes with being pretty hole in the wall'ish meaning it's not crowded busy and over populated haha you can have a nice relaxing lunch or dinner and best of all support a small business that deserves every penny. Will DEFINITELY be back for more wings and also trying other delicious options! Thank you to the team at terrys kitchen!

Karaage is tender juicy, breading is light and crispy, good umami flavor. Kalbi steak bites have a nice firm initial bite and tender, cooked perfectly. Both were marinated really well. They both paired with sauce but honestly doesn't need it.

Da best!! Never tasted wings this good! Garlic chicken wings with a crispy taste like pork rinds. Trust me. Order these on your next visit.

I wish the waiter explained what came on our plate, but he quickly scooted away. The scallops were my favorite. Nice and mild and sweet flavor. The grand also came with 6 sauces to pair. Wasn't sure which sauce went best with which, but doesn't hurt to try? shell on shrimp and lobster claw were the second and third bests in my opinion. - Grilled Black-eyed Perch (4/5): got a smaller 1.2 lb fish. Can get it grilled and fried. Fried is ~$4 more. This fish was around 38-39/lb at the time of writing. Flavors were so great! Not a bony fish at all and didn't have to really pick at it. A tad dry in certain parts, but again, nice salty, zesty from the lemon and herbaceous. This place is definitely on the $$$ side, so can see ppl coming here for special occasions.

Located in the Hadley, Mioposto is the best pizza I've eaten in King County hands down. I'm a huge fan of their quattro formaggi, a delightful cheese pizza with lemon zest that makes it sing. It comes with either the olive oil base or tomato base and they both are amazing. The prosciutto e arugula minus onions is another giant favorite of mine. They have the best arugula, a bright peppery type that isn't sharp or bitter. With a little sea salt on top the arugula pairs well with the buttery, savory prosciutto. On the weekends if I have enough of an appetite I order the bacon and egg breakfast pizza which is divine. The egg and spicy base gives a creaminess that is offset by the crunch from the seasoned breadcrumbs. I love that spice. Only thing I ordered I could have passed on was the lasagna. Five stars, if only because my brother's impossible standards were finally defeated…read more A group of us stopped by after pickleball for brunch, and everything from the service to the food was fantastic. My brother is, without question, the pickiest diner I know. He's spent the better part of fifty years conducting what appears to be an unofficial cheeseburger audit of the West Coast. He orders a burger almost everywhere we go, critiques every one of them, and has been known to send food back without a second thought. So when he took one bite of the cheeseburger, quietly kept eating, refused to share a single truffle fry, and eventually announced, "This is the best burger I've ever had," the rest of us nearly fell out of our chairs. There wasn't a single complaint, which may be a first in recorded family history. Even more impressive, he's already been back twice on his own. I went in a completely different direction and finished brunch with the date and molasses cake. It immediately reminded me of the English toffee dessert that Citizen Cake in San Francisco used to make years ago. Rich, buttery, and not overly sweet, with house-made ice cream providing the perfect balance, it was one of those desserts that makes you slow down because you don't want the last bite to be the last bite. Great food, warm service, and a relaxed atmosphere. If Yelp allowed six stars, I'd award the extra one for the burger's remarkable ability to temporarily stop my brother from whining.
