Worst customer service experience ever! This is my second Tesla and I would never buy another. Roadside assistance is pointless. My car key fobs died and the only option they gave me was to tow my car (for hundreds of dollars) to a service center at my own expense and wait there for 3 hours for the service center to open. No where carries the key batteries except the service centers. They also gave me the option of taking an Uber (at my own expense ) and waiting until they open knowing that my phone was dying after speaking with them for almost 2 hours. Personally, I love the car, no doubt about it. But, Burbank dealership made me feel like I have made the biggest mistake. I bought the car Feb 2021, and after delivered the car, the entire team disappeared. I couldn't never reach them via phone, emails. Oh, I forget about Mobile Service. They have canceled my appointment 4 times the day before because 'your time slot is not convenient'. I paid for a new model Y, but I felt like I ended up with a damaged car. First, it was the pillar camera, took them over 2 months to have a technician to replace, and still not working right. Second was the noise from the front passenger side. Again, it took weeks for a technician to come. Francisco was great, but he didn't resolve the problem. He put some glue on the latch of the glove box and suggested to schedule a follow up appointment, if the noise persisted. The noise has has gotten worse, extremely distracting when driving. Third is the car would come to a completed stop on the freeway at Burbank (not sure why). I have never encountered anything like this with any car dealerships. They sold the car and left you hanging. The worst customer service from the service center. They are condescending and immovable. I've not experience service like this from any other luxury car service center, let alone an average car center. They sell you the car and the they just stop caring. I've had my Tesla for 5 years and have never been impressed by their service. Just know that when you buy one of their cars you will not be able to call the service center directly. All phone interaction on your part will have to be done through a national call center. They supposedly relay the messages but the Burbank service center denies receiving them and the national call center confirms that your message has been sent. Terrible customer service. Came in to pick up our new car, took the day off of work, called before hand to go over all the spellings on the lease, only to find that they misspelled our names on the lease and told us it will be several hours before they can revise the paperwork. On top of that, I asked a salesman for the weight restrictions on the rear-facing seats in our existing model S. The salesman proceeded to tell me there is no limitations and you can put a child of any size in it. I told him I knew that couldn't be the case. It turns out you have to weigh at least 40 pounds. Completely ridiculous that they would be so callous by giving safety misinformation. Tesla needs to get on the customer service bandwagon. I am extremely disappointed with Tesla's service. It is completely chaotic with no organization. Called to follow up on the service to my car but had to wait more than half an hour to have someone to tell me to talk to my delivery advisor. When I spoke to my delivery advisor he told to talk to the service center. Like seriously, how is he responsible for servicing my car? Everyone just passes the bucket and no one has the answers to the simplest question. Also tried calling owner support, which turned out to be the road side assistance that they just googled... owner support is nonexistent. No one answers the call, it rings and hangs up. Had to drive to Burbank, which is 15 miles away. Like always, waited for several hours for someone to come out to tell me to come back another day and they will call me, there is nothing they can do right now. What fking service is this. I considered Burbank Tesla to be my second home. Cause of the amount of time my Model X spends there. I have been very forgiving on the most part. Hope my feeling changes next visit for replacement of newly replaced gullwing top door rubber molding. This eats me me. They always unplug my two dash cams. Annoying yes, nearly damaged it twice. I mostly remember to unplug it now. About a month ago I took the car in to replace the driver & passenger door latch, they pulled out my dash cam wire that was threaded into the door. I don't know if they had to thread there wire through the door into the main body, if so I would feel a little better if not grrrr. Anyways. The reason for the one star. 5am my wife goes to car to go home, its completely dead. After doing a 10 hour shift she has to wait 4 hours to get a service guy to manually open the trunk to jump start the 12v battery. Next day different city 2am this time. After a 12 hour shift I go to the car and it's dead again. This time they tell me to take the car in to replace the small 12v agm battery. That's when it all when down hill. They told me it would be ready in about 6 day. So when. I got noticed that it would be ready in 3 days I was more than happy. I called to make sure the car was ready because I have a very tight schedule. So I get there and after an hour wait and missing to taking my daughter to her dance class(she got another ride and was late), I was given the good and bad new. My car was back from the wash but they misplaced my keys, after about 30min of no update I asked and they said that they can't find the key so to save me time(lost hours r ready) they would program me a new key(whatever). Than after about another 30min they told me there was a misscomunication and they didn't loose my key fob, but infact the car was really not ready! Whaaaa? So after about another 30min, I get my unwashed, car and they tell me the bad news that the video wire was not in the door anymore but instead it was under the dash. And the two cam is no longer working it's an after market part so they can't touch it (ummm you unplug it everytime I take it in, you ripped it out of the door and probably made the mess off the other parts) They told me to go back to the installer to fix it (ummm hey cam installer do you remember me almost 18 months ago? Telsa said to go back to you to fix the wiring they ripped out) hmmm. By this time I was so late and upset I just had to leave. My son barely got his seatbelt on and I burst out of the lot to get him to his class and I got to work 30 minutes late. Before I left they did give me two free car wash cause they felt bad for what happened. Thanks but on the hours that I was there a guy had car wash damage from probably the same car wash as my free one:( If you read this till the end thanks for hearing my rant. I will update the stars as soon I a go back to replace rubber door trim. Hope to resolve my cam issue with the manager then. I had a flat tire and needed a tow to the Service Center. I arrived after service hours on Sunday, and the service representative was exceedingly friendly and helpful. Been a Tesla owner for two years and have had to try schedule several appointments for service. It's just like all the negative reviews you see her. Practically impossible to ever get anyone in the serve department on the phone. You have to call the Sales dept. A lot of times the Tesla app won't even work to schedule the appointment. Also, their service people always leave damage on the leather seats (cuts / tears). They repaired it once, but thereafter when they damaged it again, they just ignored my calls and complaints. Just completely awful customer service, especially for a so called "tech" company. They can't even hire anyone to answer the dang phones? It's ridiculous. I had a horrible experience at tesla Buena Park, long story short I had paid my car off in full and for some reason Buena Park had placed a lien holder (chase) on my dmv registration, it was months of going back & forth, they would just push me away and say someone would call me (over 3 months) & never got it taken care of. He assured me that i would be receiving updates & sure enough I got 2 updates & finally just received another email saying that the issue has been taken care of. Absolutely horrible customer service. No one is held accountable in this company. My words of advice do not buy a Tesla stay far away from them. They are nothing but problems and if you have a problem there's no one at the service centers who can help you are completely on your own. Had to take my car in to the service center to get my windshield replaced when I got it back it wasn't calibrated correctly. The radio stopped working and worst of all my range was cut drastically in my model Y. I went back into the Burbank service center to talk to somebody about this. A 20 something was brought out and tried to tell me that they looked at my car on "their computer and it was operating the way it's supposed to be operating. What and some kid came back at me and said that they looked at their computer and there is nothing wrong with the range on my car. Then he tried to convince me that it was because of the heat... the high was 76° today! There is no way 76° would have an effect on the range in your Tesla. I also informed him that I actually worked at giga factory one manufacturing the batteries I know exactly how they're put together. A service technician at this location obviously did something to affect the range of my car. before I took it to this location in Burbank when I park my car overnight (I do not have a place to plug it in overnight) for example before I came to the service location I would park my car at night and it would read 80%. I will come out in the morning and it will still be 80%. After I went to Burbank, it drops 2% overnight for no reason to 78%. I don't have anything running. I don't have it in century mode. Nothing. And when I drove it yesterday, the range was really bad like 50 or 60 miles less than the last time I drove it. It is painfully obvious that a service technician did something to my car to affect the range. I've never had this problem before I took it to the service center! Now I'm stuck with a car that doesn't even save me money and fuel charges anymore. I want my money back! I used to really admire Elon musk, but in reality, he's just a crook he is pushed a product that does not work as advertised, as well as creating, shady work practices when it comes to service. This is hands-down the worst car I have ever had in my life and I am 58 years old so I've had a few. Also needed to add something that I've noticed since I got my car back from the Burbank service center. I now have phantom drain it drains 2 to 3% every night. I want to start by saying .. I love my Car.. Tesla is the best EV car on the market..... 5 Days new anything can change...... I went into the Brea store for my test drive and to place my order. Kevin C was a great help, he gave a very detailed presentation for all three vehicles. I test drove all three. including the little Frog. I love the Model 3 and i so adoringly named it the little Frog.. I placed my order on September 6, 2018, on September 10th i received an email and a phone call confirming a 9-30-2018 delivery date. Within 24hours I was issued a VIN number and I noticed some changes to my online Tesla account. ( I was in shock as my original delivery date was estimated to be mid November) There are several tabs to update, who will be on the registration(owners), Drivers License copy uploaded and the details, Insurance and method of payment(will you be financing), is there a trade in!?!. I was in deed financing a portion of the balance. The was a little frustrating as well. Fortunately I had a friend who took delivery a day before me so she guided me through the process. As the date grew near I reached out to my delivery representative we will call her Ms. CP. In the beginning she sent me a text confirming my 9-30-18 delivery date, after that "Crickets". the last communication with her was around 9-10, on 9-25,I was getting a little concerned as the delivery date was only 5 days away. This part was frustrating and nerve racking. After several calls, text messages and emails I finally received a confirmation of a 9/30 pick up at 10am. we ended up picking up our car at 3pm on 9/30 and it took me 45 minutes. Let me cut to the chase and provide you with some very useful information: 1. The delivery date will always be sooner than the estimated time so make sure you have everything in order. Finances & Insurance. 2. Once you receive your delivery date stay on top of your Tesla account. 3. Make sure you upload your Divers License and how you will hold title as the fields become available. Start shopping for insurance. Costco is a great option. 4. As you get closer to your date secure your insurance. The provider will push out the start date to your delivery date or the day before. 5. The final numbers will not be available until about 24 to 48 hours before the delivery in some cases the same day. 6. Your personal down payment will be drawn from your account through an ACH. This is an auto debt. You will need your bank routing number and your account number. Once Tesla receives it you will receive an email confirmation. Save this incase its the same day. 7. After everything above has been completed then go get your EV... 8. Before you leave for your appointment confirm they have your vehicle ready and waiting for you. (if we had shown up at 10am to pick up our car I would have been sitting waiting and just as pissed off as the other 20 to 30 people waiting for their cars) Happy Driving! read more

Months later through a California program I was able to get one and had a million questions. Asked 1 and another guy seem annoyed or bothered. I asked him to write down what he had told me to check into and he said no it's really easy. REALLY. Adding to the other voices here, it would be great if they could add more superchargers here! The wait is very long at any given time, unless you're coming late at night. If you're waiting in line, you can't really watch TV or kill time indoors since you have to keep the line moving as people leave. I wonder if there could be some sort of system where people could be kept accountable for the time that their cars are being charged. I saw that someone had left a nice handwritten note on a car's dashboard requesting that they please consider others and come back in a timely manner while others are waiting. If you need to kill 15-20 minutes, there are a couple of shops right next door, and you can chill inside of the Tesla center. But for the sake of many others, I think everyone would like everyone to be considerate of the waiting time and not stay away for far too long once their cars are all charged up! Besides the need for more chargers, the restrooms are clean and nice, as well as the waiting area inside. 3 stars for that. read more

The Burbank Service Center knew this, even had the MCU on order, but once I took my car in, said a factory reset was all I needed. A month later, problems happened again. Black touchscreen, blinkers don't work, and AC goes off and on - IN THE MIDDLE OF A HEATWAVE!!! I tried called the Burbank Service Center, left a message, of course no one called back. I set up another appointment on the stupid app; I got stuck with a mobile tech, that of course was about a week away. I knew a mobile tech couldn't fix this! The day before, they finally read my notes. Shocker, it isn't something a mobile tech can fix. So come to Van Nuys another week away, 9/1/20. Now I'm being told, via text that no one responds to, that it's been delayed to 9/8!?!? Meanwhile I'm having to drive a car that isn't safe (the NHTSA is investigating this issue), and no one will call me back?!?! Let me talk to a human! For 4 hours they repaired a hole in the tire.(no battery,no computer,no engine - just a tire) After four hours, it turned out that they repaired a completely different tire. The ordering and delivery of the vehicle was great. If something goes wrong with your car, don't expect a call back. I had them research my car's black box due to an accident that may be caused by the car's malfunction. This still needs to be confirmed. It's been over a month since the accident and and I have left numerous messages every week and never received a phone call back. Is this the type of service I paid for? My car cost over $100k, but I cannot get a single call back on the status. Also, the parts take forever! My insurance only covers for my rental for 30 days, and at this point, I'll be paying for a few weeks more because there was a delay in the parts being delivered to the body shop. If it wasn't for my body shop updating me on the status, I probably would think that my car would be done by the end of the month. I have been working with Tesla management and I have escalated to Tesla HQ as well. Let's see how long they are going to ignore me until I make my next few phone calls again. read more

Husband and I made an appointment to have our cracked windshield repaired (got hit by a rock on the freeway, I thought these cars were supposed to be stronger than that....but I digress)- we got a service confirmation but it had been auto-rescheduled with the new time and date in teeny-tiny print, so didn't look at it. Our bad, yeah. Brought our car in- their wi-fi was down, employees were all being horrible to the customers, rude, ignoring them, not customer service at all. We got sent home by a very rude human. We had an experience similar to this when we picked up our car on the first day of having it- no-one really "helped" us at all- they had us fill out paperwork, brought us to our car and said "later"- we had NO idea how to drive it yet or even start it. This location is SO lucky that people love their Tesla's and have no other option but to bring them in at times- because if this were a place that relied on word of mouth or good customer service, they'd be screwed. This is my first experience with a Tesla Service Center. I've had my car for about a month but on a road trip a rock flew up and made a growing crack across my windshield, can and has happened to any car so no marks against quality of the car. Tesla allows customers to make specific appointments through their Tesla accounts on their websites, I made an appointment and included information on what repair was needed. I get to the Service Center the day of and it's pretty darn busy, full parking lot and a lot of commotion. I walk in to service as a service manager(?) Natalie is taking care of a few people ahead of me in line. She greeted me, asked for my key, and pulled my Model S into the shop. She let me know exactly what to expect as far as timeline (glue may need to cure overnight) and issued me a perfectly serviceable gasoline loaner vehicle (I was explicitly not required to fuel up the loaner before returning it). The next day she kept me in the loop about pickup and actually had another employee at the service department deliver my car (newly cleaned I might add) to my workplace, picking up the loaner vehicle. Overall, a really pleasant experience. I can see that they're pretty darn busy, mostly because they're something like 1 of 5 service centers handling all the Tesla vehicles in LA, that's probably easily a ratio of 15k cars per service center. Corporate, some notes: 1. Please interface more directly with insurers to handle claims directly, I had to pay out of pocket and submit the invoice to my insurer which is fine but it'd be nice to have you guys be in contact with major insurers. 2. Streamline the roles your employees at SCs are handling, Natalie was helping people all over the place, from customer intake to moving cars to communicating (really well I might add) vehicle statuses. It'd be nice if the person who's taking point on your repair didn't have to have their head constantly on swivel for the next thing that needed their attention. 3. Warehouse your parts better, it'd be nice to do a next-day replacement of common parts like windshields. Inventory of common parts like that never killed anybody. Not the most ideal place to supercharge given the very limited amount of bays (6) and high traffic area. Came here on a Sunday afternoon to supercharge prior to heading back to the Bay Area and was slightly disappointed to see a line of 10 cars waiting to juice up. #FirstWorldProblems Fortunately, a very kind staff of valets were there to monitor everything and ensure a steady flow of incoming and outgoing cars, but still. There definitely needs to be more stations installed STAT to accommodate the influx of Tesla owners. +Free beverages, WiFi, and restrooms available inside the store while waiting. +Location in a wierd area which doesn't allow for easy access. Must make right on E Valencia from S San Fernando, make a u-turn, then left on E Valencia back to S San Fernando in order to enter the Tesla center. read more

My Ac gave up on my brand new model Y, I was in west LA so I went to the West LA Tesla and the staff Mustapha and his manager TJ were very rude and just told me that they can't help, and because it was 110 degree outside ( it was the Memorial Day weekend with the heat wave) Mustapha recommended me to rent a car if it's too hot for my 5 years old to ride in the car and that they can't help ! Anyway back to the Burbank Tesla where the staff were 100% nice, helpful, and professional, I left the Santa Monica Tesla and called the Burbank Tesla, Lisa answered my call and told me that I can bring my car anytime before 9pm! I went around 6pm, I went to the reception and as soon as I said I have an issue with my AC she recognized me and told me that they were waiting for me, she took my car within 5 minutes and gave me an Uber voucher. I explained to her that the voucher is not enough for me as I live far from my work, so she did her best and got me a loaner car the next day ! Thank you again Lisa ! But I wanted to also say thank you to GABE at Burbank Tesla ! I had an issue outside their location with a delivery guy and had to call the police , and he came to help me and my 5years old! He stayed with us while we waited for the police and actually talked to the guy and fixed the issue before the police got there ! I will never thank Gabe enough for his sweet gesture and one more time he also went the extra mile and actually made my day ! When I went back to pick up my car he was there and took a moment even if it was busy to come check on me an my family, and helped us pick up our car and charge it! I met Dustin at the Home Depot, Signal Hill store in Long Beach, CA. about a year ago. Dustin was doing sales outreach to the public. I normally would not talk to sales people in this situation.
