It's like Tomorrowland at Disney and priced just as high for standard fast food. For the theme, decorations, and experience, I recommend the Tesla Diner for tourists. However, I came during an empty crowd time period on a weekday around 4pm and they took an extremely long time for my taco order. I suspect there was a technical error and my order wasn't processed correctly, so I have deducted a star simply for waiting unnecessarily long when there were no lines and hardly anyone there. I am a Tesla owner and go to LA quite frequently from San Diego for acting gigs. One day when I was in Los Angeles I randomly passed by the Tesla diner not even knowing such a thing existed. I had to check it out. I also went back a couple weekends ago and had to show my husband when we were in LA. You will never find more chargers in one spot and at night there are huge screens playing drive-in movies. You can also go inside to grab a bite as well as go on the second level to get a Birdseye view. Inside looks like space Mountain had a baby with a diner. I really didn't care for the food to be honest. We got burgers. But what do you expect? It's more for the cool atmosphere. You can also order from the screen in your Tesla. Bonus tip. Definitely a futuristic take on a cafe, I was immediately reminded of old movie scenes and how the 'future' was seen. My party was notified that we have a time limit on dining so we ate within 30 minutes while our Tesla was being charged. Service was great, the people were kind. There was water on the stairs which was a little dangerous. The view from the second floor was cool but is very sunny as there's not much shading. There are two large screens where you can hear what's playing on the 2nd floor as well. It's cool to visit for the one time as it was very pricey. read more

Fun experience while you charge your Tesla. Despite being in the heart of Hollywood, it was packed! There was a wait to find an open charging spot. The diner is cool inside, food is a bit pricey, a regular smash burger is $15 after tax and does not include fries. The upper level has 2 big screens where you can watch a movie while enjoying your food or have some of their free popcorn. Staff is friendly. I liked the Tesla Diner a lot more than I thought I would! I came on the one year anniversary and they had roller skating gals delivering orders to your car. I came back a week later and it was just a guy dressed in black walking the order to my car. Classic movies playing on the two drive-in theater type screens. I was never able to get my Tesla car to play the movie and sound inside though. Neat interior with Tesla displays and Optimus Prime on exhibit. Free popcorn upstairs and good viewing deck for the movie. I've always passed the Tesla Diner when some game is playing on the big screens or just to charge, never to eat. Food is served 24/7 but the dining room closes at midnight. I'm not too sure when the Skypad is open or closes too, but it wasn't open this Friday around 11:00PM. Service is minimal, you walk in, order on a tablet, and wait for a text to get your order from the pickup counter. We both got Tesla Giga Burgers and they come in these cute cybertruck boxes, but unfortunately these burgers were dry and wet. The patties were smashed and burned to oblivion that it brought tears to my eyes to swallow from it scratching and refusing to go down my throat. Getting to the middle, there actually were some nice juicy bits, but for $13.50 it felt like there were 3 bites of a real burger. The fries are standard, not crispy on the inside and not soft on the inside. Usually I see something playing 24/7 but today there was nothing? The ambiance is astonishing amazing maybe even the cars and the charging stations for them, too, but the food and service needed a lot of tending to. They add a 18% gratuity to your bill which I did not notice my partner brought it up to me I was like ok. But wow service wise I feel like if you're adding 18% to any bill anywhere the least that could be done is drop off the food to the table. It felt like I was at a high end modern cafeteria. It would be amazing if they had the robots delivering the food I mean it would change the experience not to say staff was not great there was some nice smiley faces by the ordering pad that give out the cyber truck hats for kids which I found cute but maybe changing the delivery of food instead of yelling out numbers will change some ambiance here. Unfortunately, for the food my salad was decent but not flavorful I wish I just got burger and fries instead. We also got a lavender lemonade which was just generic syrup with lemonade type of situation. We ordered a kids grilled cheese with bacon, a BLT , two drinks, and the salad with chicken and for $72 I was not satisfied as I'm pregnant as well so I wish the food was a lot better, but I feel that needs so much help I wish a chef rescued that menu please someone add some flavor or something. The Cyber truck idea is cute though gives it the touch of the place, but would I recommend or come back probably not unless I hear a good chef came to rescue this place, but definitely a tourist destination or attraction if you will. We stopped by the Tesla Diner and loved the futuristic vibe. The giant TVs were the highlight, especially watching the World Cup from the upstairs seating with free popcorn. As a huge Tesla fan, I've wanted to check out this place ever since it opened. I watched plenty of reviews beforehand, so I already knew the food was expensive and kept my expectations realistic. I mainly came for the atmosphere, the experience, and to take some photos. I like that they're open 24/7. I originally wanted to visit during the day, but traffic and a concert made that impossible. We arrived just before 11 pm. after the concert, and the restaurant was almost empty. Since we rented a gas car, we parked on a nearby residential street just one block away, which was easy that late at night. While we were taking pictures outside, someone drove by, rolled down his window, yelled an insult at us, and sped off like a coward. However, it didn't ruin my day. The food is definitely expensive. I ordered the Tesla Giga Burger and fries. They were good, but not worth the price in my opinion. The restaurant itself was very clean and had a sleek, futuristic design. I tried to bus my own table but couldn't find a place to leave my tray, and a staff member told me to just bring it to the counter. We got here too late and they turned off the movie right at 11 pm. The merch sale also ended at 11 pm. I couldn't come all the way here without getting some Tesla Diner exclusive merch. Even though the employee on the second floor looked like she was getting ready to go home, she still helped me purchase some merch and even gave us the remaining popcorn from the machine. The concept is great and a lot of effort was put into the restaurant design and layout with twin movie projectors. In the evenings/night you definitely want to sit upstairs, outside to watch the movies. Last night when we arrived they were playing 2001 followed by Back to the Future. Love it! My problem is with the food. It is mid grade at best. And not cheap: $80 out the door for 3 sandwiches, 1 side, and 1 drink. When ordering with their touchscreen, the drinks are pictured in a tall glass. When served, they come in a kid-sized plastic cup. Total letdown. I sure hope Elon reads this and they step up their food game. This diner has the potential to be magic and the ultimate diner. read more

The drive down to Tesla Diner itself was cool. I mean it's Hollywood! The entrance to the diner was a bit confusing tho. We ended up getting navigation to the West side which is the Tesla charger parking but the real entrance to the diner is in the East side which is the opposite. Once we figured that part out it was easy We found the diner soon as we found an open Tesla charger. Looking up there's a huge tv screen playing the launching of SpaceX which my husband wanted to see. It was the countdown and really cool to watch Also what's really cool is that if you're driving a Tesla or Cybertruck, you can preorder thru the menu from your car and you'll get notified when they're going to start making your orders. The downfall of this is that there's no confirmation numbers. Just your name, so when we entered the Diners it looked nearly empty except for a few staffs. The cashier asked us if he can take our orders. My husband replied we already ordered. The staff looked confused until my husband explained that we ordered online. Then the cashier asked for his name and found the orders. We were then told to wait around the corner for our food. Once our food arrived we made our way upstairs with our dog, Peanut. Did I mention they're dog friendly? They did not have any water fountain or treats for dogs but I saw several people with their pooch. Luckily we brought our own water container for our Peanut. I was expecting to get greeted or get our food or at least popcorn being served by the AI robot but instead it was off and on display behind a glass. How disappointing. I saw 2 of these robots. There were stairs up to the second level but we took the elevator. We then found a table and it was like a picnic bench with umbrellas. I used the restroom which was very modern and clean. Thanks for that! Ok you're wondering when am I going to get to the food part right? Well I saved that for last being that the food was mediocre for the high price we paid. It was a $13.50 single patty burger without fries and a $9 hard and dry grilled cheese sandwich. The cheese was lukewarm and turned solid by the time we got it. Nonetheless it was cool to check this place out at least once. I recommend it but I would not order food from here in the future. Perhaps if they had Cobb salad or chef salad, chicken fingers or crispy fried wings with fries for about $15 then yes. Came here on a Tuesday evening, not crowded at all. You can only park there if you are charging your vehicle (doesn't have to be Tesla). $0.5 per kWh and 30 min grace period before idle fee applies. There are security guards at the parking lot. The building itself is cool, the interior is very futuristic. The food & drink are not bad, but some items are a bit pricy in my opinion. $14.5 for a milk shake. About $17 for a fried chicken sandwich that does not come with fries/drink. Upside is they give you free popcorn on the rooftop and free short movies (about 11min-25min). Hubby wanted to check out this dinner since it first opened but we wanted to wait until the hype died down to check it out. Upon arriving, we had NO idea the location is kind of random for this diner. If you were not looking for it, you would not even know its the Tesla diner. There were ample supercharging stations around the diner and huge TVs above playing black and white films. We charged our car and checked out the diner. The diner felt very futuristic. Very sleek and modern design. The menu was filled with typical diner food such as burgers, sandwiches, salads, etc. We didn't order anything because it was too pricey. We came here on a Saturday afternoon and honestly thought it was a pretty cool spot overall. It actually wasn't too crowded when we went, which made the experience more enjoyable. I love stopping at the Tesla Diner when driving through town. Love the futuristic design both inside and out. Really cool Cybertruck design details inside along with Optimus versions. You can't miss it when driving by. There are a ton of supercharging spots, never had a problem getting one and never had a malfunctioning one. The inside of the diner is spacious and plenty of sitting. You can also buy exclusive merch near the entrance which I definitely took advantage of. The food is very tasty and I can tell the quality of the ingredients. The burgers are my favorite in combination with the chocolate shake. One of the top 3 milkshakes I've had. Employees have all been great in my experiences and they do a good job keeping the place clean. There's also security outside which is nice if you're here at night since it is open 24/7. This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen! I was in the area and decided to stop by. The main parking lot is a little hectic but if you exit there are a lot more stalls available. I liked seeing the different Optimus versions throughout the inside and the fun Tesla merch available. I tried the fried pickles (they were okay), the spicy chicken sandwich (delicious but greasy!!), the insane coffee (fine) and the chia pudding (fine). I love that it's available 24/7 though. Parking lot is for EV only, but there are a ton of street parking right next to the lot entrance, found a spot asap. It was surprisingly very low crowd, it felt like a weekday. We explored a bit, and hung out on the rooftop where movies are played on the big screens. Plenty of seating, staff is constantly available and ready to help/clean. For food, we got a spicy chicken sandwich, fries, + drink/souvenir cup for $28. It was honestly REALLY good! I was tempted to get the Tesla box for $4, but the sandwich already comes in one! I did not try them. It was not as expensive as I expected, but was a tiny bit pricey but not any more than other restaurants these days. The kids saw the place and immediately ordered waffles and chia seed pudding as breakfast round two -- zero regrets. At the risk of dating myself, the whole futuristic interior felt straight out of The Jetsons -- futuristic in the best possible way. The robots were such a hit with the kids, and every detail felt playful and thoughtfully designed. From the self-serve ordering kiosks to food arriving in little Cybertruck-shaped paper boxes (adorable), the whole experience had this "future diner" magic. The kids were obsessed. Honestly... so were the adults. The rooftop/balcony dining area was another surprise highlight -- complimentary popcorn while watching cartoons on giant screens? Such a fun touch. Cool sci-fi diner spot! This is my third time and we came to celebrate Tesla Diner's 1yr anniversary; got to see the Cybercab in person and Optimus (robot) serving popcorn. I recommend their smash burger, chili cheese fries, as well as one of their smoothies. Set destination to Tesla Diner while on the road, system preconditions my car to prep for fast charging and the Tesla Diner menu pops up on my Tesla screen with option to pre-order my meal prior to arrival (how cool is that!). Parking lot is only for Tesla charging vehicles, with additional charging stations around the corner (but walkable path). If you don't drive a Tesla or don't need charging, looks like you'll have to find street parking because you can't park in the diner parking lot if your car is not charging. The burgers and fries are packed so cutely in little Cybertruck paper boxes. Despite the food looking dry and unappealing in the photos, the flavor is quite good, for every single item we tried. The service is excellent, and they are willing to customize your order to accommodate for food allergies, even showed me a printed chart when I inquired. You can first place an order on the kiosk then immediately speak to an employee informing that you need the order customized, and they will gladly accommodate. Lovely interior design and architect, clean restrooms, enjoyable visit. Looks like a popular tourist destination stop too, I see international tourists being dropped off by private vans on the street and picked up after dining.
