There are security guards at the parking lot. The building itself is cool, the interior is very futuristic. The food & drink are not bad, but some items are a bit pricy in my opinion. $14.5 for a milk shake. About $17 for a fried chicken sandwich that does not come with fries/drink. Upside is they give you free popcorn on the rooftop and free short movies (about 11min-25min). They also sell Tesla merchandises. $65 for salt & pepper shakers, $50 for a robot figure, $35 for a t-shirt, gummy candies, $175 for a levitating cyber truck desk decor. read more

this feels like the kind of place you'd stop at while charging your tesla and grab a snack with the family while you wait. i stopped by out of curiosity after a huge breakfast at the griddle cafe. i wasnt hungry enough for a meal so i just ordered a lavender lemonade to-go and spent some time checking the place out. it definitely attracts a lot of tourists and families, which wasn't surprising. the whole place had a polished feel to it and was noticeably clean. outside parking is for electric vehicles only, fyi. service was quick and my drink was ready without much of a wait. as for the lavender lemonade itself, i wasnt a huge fan. it was way too sour for my taste and at around $7-8 for a 12oz cup that was mostly ice, it didnt feel like a great value. i did appreciate the presentation though. there was a nice layer of lavender syrup at the bottom and even an actual lavender sprig in the drink. at least it wasnt boring! overall, i found the concept more interesting than the drink. i'm not sure i'd go back specifically to try more of the menu, but im glad i checked it out for myself. read more

Was pleasantly surprised with my experience here! Came at 6:30pm on a Sunday evening. Parking lot is for EV only, but there are a ton of street parking right next to the lot entrance, found a spot asap. It was surprisingly very low crowd, it felt like a weekday. We explored a bit, and hung out on the rooftop where movies are played on the big screens. Plenty of seating, staff is constantly available and ready to help/clean. For food, we got a spicy chicken sandwich, fries, + drink/souvenir cup for $28. It was honestly REALLY good! I was tempted to get the Tesla box for $4, but the sandwich already comes in one! We came here on a Saturday afternoon and honestly thought it was a pretty cool spot overall. It actually wasn't too crowded when we went, which made the experience more enjoyable. We ordered a chicken salad, a burger, and chicken strips. I personally had the salad and really enjoyed it. Didn't try the other food, but everyone seemed happy with what they ordered. The kids saw the place and immediately ordered waffles and chia seed pudding as breakfast round two -- zero regrets. Set destination to Tesla Diner while on the road, system preconditions my car to prep for fast charging and the Tesla Diner menu pops up on my Tesla screen with option to pre-order my meal prior to arrival (how cool is that!). Parking lot is only for Tesla charging vehicles, with additional charging stations around the corner (but walkable path). If you don't drive a Tesla or don't need charging, looks like you'll have to find street parking because you can't park in the diner parking lot if your car is not charging. The burgers and fries are packed so cutely in little Cybertruck paper boxes. Despite the food looking dry and unappealing in the photos, the flavor is quite good, for every single item we tried. The service is excellent, and they are willing to customize your order to accommodate for food allergies, even showed me a printed chart when I inquired. You can first place an order on the kiosk then immediately speak to an employee informing that you need the order customized, and they will gladly accommodate. Lovely interior design and architect, clean restrooms, enjoyable visit. Looks like a popular tourist destination stop too, I see international tourists being dropped off by private vans on the street and picked up after dining. Highly recommend adding the Tesla Diner to your LA tour list! They sell merch on the top floor and have very futuristic stariways and even the Tesla Generation Robots to look at on your way up. Not a Tesla fan but I am a fan of this charging station and diner. We needed to charge your car after a late night hockey game before driving home out of town. We found this charging station since we have an adapter we are able to charge here. They have a drive-in movie to watch while you were charging your vehicle as well as a diner. The diner is a futuristic theme that reminds me of tomorrowland in Disneyland. It is very clean you can order via tablets and go have a seat. They'll text you when your order is ready. We ordered a side of fries which were crispy and freshly made, and the breakfast tacos, which were full of flavor and very delicious. This staff was friendly and the restrooms are clean. I had to charge my car and I was in the area so why not stop by. The parking lot surrounding the diner is pretty cool with two large movie screens for people to watch from their cars while charging. The actual diner is future retro looking with counter seating and booths. Order from the kiosk or from your car and pick up your food inside when your number is called. Honestly, you can say what you wanna say about Tesla and this Tesla diner, but there's no doubt about it. The whole experience is unique and very cool. Tesla brought back an old school memory by having a drive-in type of experience while you're charging your electric vehicle. There are many other electric cars other than Teslas here so I'm pretty sure you can also charge your EV is here as well that doesn't fall underneath the Tesla family. I would recommend pulling around to the front charger if you can, if anything is available because that's when you can actually see the view of the diner, watch movies, pick up food easily, and enjoy in your car. I made the mistake by parking at the back charger so I didn't really see too much and had to walk a little bit to go all the way to the front. I ended up ordering some Tesla Gummies, and just some fries. While I was waiting for my gummy's, I noticed that there was a whole upstairs deck that you're able to take a seat and enjoy the movie. While I was sitting there, I had an employee come up to me and offer some popcorn while I was watching the movie. Two huge walls / screens which play old school movies ( ghostbusters was on when we were there) for you to watch while waiting for your ride to charge. Im glad I stopped by after the hype. It was pretty much dead inside the diner when I went. The diner is clean and looks futuristic and even has a small bar. I like the upstairs patio area. Its really neat and you can watch a movie on the huge projection. I couldn't give this place 5 stars bc as much as I love elon, his food is very expensive and isn't tasty at all. I enjoy Dennys more and its cheaper. I got the giga burger protein style. It tasted decent and my husband liked the pickles, but 14$ worth, NO. I also got the wagyu chili. Only good for charging. Architecturally it's pretty but functionally ineffective. The skypad was closed. We were hoping for more of a robotically run diner. The food was good but nothing too impressive. One bathroom which someone was in for a long time. The one plus was it was the first charge station that had a tire fill station. Oddly enough, the bacon (yes, the expensive bacon) was the standout for me. We ordered several items: the burger, avocado toast, breakfast burrito, kids' chicken tenders with fries, and a vanilla shake. Unfortunately, everything was overpriced and pretty mediocre across the board. That said, the service was awesome and deserves credit. The staff kept everything going, others making sure the place is clean, etc. A fun perk is the free popcorn on the rooftop deck, where you can hang out and watch random showings on the big screen while your car charges. We have 2 Teslas so we were curious to see the Diner. We parked to charge our car and then a menu popped up on our control panel. We could have ordered from our car, but decided to go inside and look around. The thing I noticed first was a big giant balloon dog. It's the same as the dog mode avatar. 2 movie screens were outside playing Close Encounters of the 3rd kind. Inside, we ordered our food at a panel and then we would go later to the counter and pick it up when it was ready. In the mean time, we explored. We climbed the stairs to the roof. They also had 3 Tesla robots on display as you walked from the ground floor to the roof. We went back down to get our food and it was very delicious! The moment I added the diner to my navigation, a hamburger icon popped up at the bottom of my screen. My passengers could already browse the menu as we were approaching. Once we arrived, we plugged in and ordered from the car. The order was simply booked to our Tesla account - no handling of credit cards required. By the time we got inside, our food was ready and the drinks were in the works. The salad was particularly delicious, with high quality ingredients. The wooden utensils reinforced Tesla's philosophy of doing business sustainably. We ate upstairs on the deck. I do not like Elon Musk, but unfortunately I love my Tesla. His name is Jeongi which means electricity in Korean and he likes the Tesla Diner. As do I. Owning a Tesla means I need to charge my car, so lately the Tesla Diner has become my go to spot for doing just that. The day rates are incredibly high at $.55 and coming out to $30 for a full charge! What is this, gasoline!? But if you go in off hours, it can get down to $.34 at Up to 325kW max. They have 80 spots between the main parking lot and the side lot, so the one positive is you usually don't have to wait in a line to charge. Now the movie screens are cool, resembling a futuristic drive-in movie theater but let's be honest, no one is really watching the movies. It's fun and a novelty though. As is the diner itself, also with sci-fi Jetson vibes (they were actually playing the Jetsons on the big screens when I popped in yesterday, lol) and reasonably priced eats & drinks. They also have some fun merch around including, the biggest viral catastrophe of Tesla's career - when the glass BROKE on stage after claiming it was unbreakable hahahaha Loved that moment and the glass is in the dining room forever memorializing and making light of the funny meme-worthy moment. They also have their humanoid robot and some other gadgets and thing-a-ma-bobs. I have yet to go to their "Skydeck" as every time I've been here over the past year, it's been closed. Is something broken up there? lolz The inside of the diner is pretty cool though, with tons of seating and Starlink Wi-Fi so I did see a few people holed up with their laptops. Now onto the food and drinks themselves, I still need to try mor eand report back. The coffee is always solid and at $5.50 for a cup, I don't mind it when I'm stopping in. The staff is always SO friendly when I'm in and prompt with everything so no complaints there. The egg bites were soggy when I got them which was pretty gross. I had them when the inside dining room was closed, and it must have gotten too much freezer time to be as watery as they were? They were really wack and I won't get them again. Fries have been decent. The Head Chef just left the Tesla Diner so I'm interested to see if that changes things at all here. Now if you do get food, it comes in what i'm sure if the least eco-friendly but most adorable Tesla shaped food container of all time. Overall, Tesla Diner is a fun place to charge and now my go to spot for gassing up Jeongi. I'm sure I'll be back a million times over the next few years and hope to only see improvements as they flesh things out. read more

Honestly a lot better than I expected! I really liked the idea of it and how fun the diner is set up. You order your food at the counter and pick it up yourself. Upstairs you will find a good amount of seating and a large screen for you to watch whatever they're playing. I got the chicken and waffles which looked so cute and actually tasted really good with the aioli they added, and even the fries were crispy and had a good flavor. The serving box was cute too. Keep in mind parking is only for Teslas. read more
