Solid breakfast spot serving all the diner classics right. I came by with friends after a night out and it was just what I needed to start my day. First and most importantly the coke was perfection. I ordered a tuna melt and although it wasn't anything special is was definitely done right. The bread was toasted perfectly so it didn't get soggy. The fries here are also really good and the waiter gave me a pool of ranch to dip them in. Everyone else really enjoyed their food as well. Would definitely come back when we're in town.

No matter how I feel when I come here, I always leave feeling better. The ambiance, service, and food always make me smile. I could go on and on about the vast menu but the truth is today's superstars were the grilled blueberry muffin and the brownie sundae. This place is everything Max and Helen's tries to be but isn't . Things are always on the bright side here and you never know whom you're going to bump into either. Thanks for always keeping it real Swingers, one of the last true ones open late.

My lunch and dinner orders were fantastic!! And I even made a mistake when I got to checkout and didn't turn off autonomous vehicles for delivery. I called Swingers and a very kind woman helped me. I am using a walker and it's hard to get outside to the robot delivery machine to retrieve my items. We straightened it out and my food was successfully delivered by a POSTMATES driver! The food was absolutely delicious like always!

Interesting cafe, definitely one of those places you need to visit once or multiple times in your lifetime. It's street parking, so it can be a short journey to the restaurant. The menu is packed full of choices to select from. The turkey club is packed full of goodness and served with fries, onion rings, or mac salad. The onion rings are the premier choice though. The staff is constantly hustling taking care of hungry diners and clearing tables for the next round of diners. You can go wrong visiting this restaurant.

I went to Swingers Diner with a pal recently. I liked the atmosphere of the place. I had the All American breakfast meal. I liked the meal overall. I wasn't really a fan of the type of bread used for the french toast if anything due to its flavor and texture. I had the Brownie Sundae for dessert. The vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup, and whipped cream were fine, but the brownie itself seemed a bit dry.

The food is amazing. Everything we ordered was delicious. Our waiter Jack was awesome, always checking in with us. Great service!! We had brunch and the diner wasn't too busy at the time we were there. They have tables, booths and outdoor seating as well. A big plus, the bathroom was VERY CLEAN!! I appreciate that!! Come and give them a try.

Cute diner with a vintage feel. A bit overpriced, but the portion size is good. They serve breakfast all all day and my friend got eggs benedict and she liked it, I got the Turkey club and it was good. Their ranch was very delicious, but they charged me for it without letting me know it's extra charge which I didn't really like. Besides that, the service was great. Nice spot if your looking for an old school vibe diner. There's also a photobooth in the back.

This is one of my favorite diners in West Hollywood!! I've been coming to this spot over 15 years!! I love their "All American Breakfast" and their avocado toast...it's so good!!! Their service is very good too, they're fast and friendly!! They really make you feel at home here! The ambiance is not bad either...a place reminiscent of the old days!!

Beyond delicious for the finals of Women's NCAA Basketball Tournament Championship!! I decided on a TURKEY BURGER PATTY MELT...so so good. My side selection was a SMALL CAESAR SALAD and it was really good!! Then I knew I would want something for dinner so I decided on AVOCADO TOAST and that's always been my favorite choice from this restaurant! And because I had a feeling my team was going to win I chose the VEGAN RICE CRISPY TREAT, a first try for me but it was spectacular! So a great day filled with scrumptious food!

Swingers Diner was a spot my friends hyped up a lot, so I had to try it for myself. We went pretty late, about thirty minutes before last call, and still had a great experience. We ordered the chicken nachos and they were amazing, hot, loaded, and perfect late night food. The mozzarella sticks were easily the best thing we had and the clear standout of the meal. I got the Neapolitan shake, which ended up being vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup and strawberry bits. It was good, but my friend's peanut butter banana milkshake was way better and something I would order next time. I also tried the patty melt and the Swinger burger and honestly they tasted pretty much the same. Both were fine but not memorable. Service was impeccable from start to finish, which really made the visit enjoyable. Overall, Swingers is a great diner for classic diner food and late night cravings, but on a food quality scale I would put it around Norms or Denny's. Solid, comforting, and reliable rather than mind blowing.

Visited Swingers Diner after a concert in Los Angeles. I really appreciate that it's open late and it has such a fun vibe. At the time of my last visit, they decorated for Halloween. As you can see, there is a skeleton sitting on the counter. However, I didn't care for food. I thought it was alright but not memorable. I had the spicy chicken fettuccine. Looking back, that's probably on me for ordering a pasta dish. I probably should have sticked to a breakfast burrito (which I had many many years ago).

Stopped by late night for a snack. Music was playing and it was moderately busy. Seems to be a popular spot. Typical diner decor and vibe -- only much nicer. Good service, albeit with what passes for a friendly attitude in Los Angeles. Had the huevos rancheros. Not bad. I would return when in the mood for a diner experience.

The chilaquiles had a nice amount of heat. Decent casual diner vibes. Strong coffee, felt good after a couple cups. Will be coming back. Good ambiance and service. You could hear the cooks talking and Jack was a nice server.

I looked up reviews on here and elsewhere,…read morereviews were generally glowing, the place is a local legend, so I expected an experience better than my favorite diner back home, or at least better than Denny's. I did not get that. The server was okay, kinda felt like she had better things to do. When we got our food, gla busboy brought it and just dropped it at our table. I got steak and eggs and a chocolate shake and my parents got a burger and fries. The burger was the highlight, it was good. The fries were okay. My chocolate shake was okay, Denny's would have been better. My steak (which I ordered medium rare and cost 29 dollars) came blue rare and my father declared that they gave me an old one. And it's not like the kitchen staff didn't know it was undercooked, it was sliced on the plate. They didn't have A1, so I used the chimichurri sauce that came with it. I should have sent it back, but I wanted to try this legendary food. Surprise, surprise, it was bad. The chimichurri sauce tasted more like olive oil than anything (I know its made with olive oil but still). The eggs and hash browns were also below average. Well not a completely horrible experience, the Clark Street Diner was far below my expectations and I don't think I will return.

You can go to a run down old diner in any city, but this is the city of the stars. On this trip even though we were already heading to the establishment it must have been an extra slow day because someone was out on the boulevard trying to direct traffic to the restaurant. About 1/3 of the tables were full when we walked in, and it took a few minutes for us to be seen and seated. The wait staff is perhaps a bit understaffed to really be at their best. Our server did not explain much to us as far as the jukebox at our table, if we could use it and how... it would have been nice to know that. I ordered a Caesar salad and a coffee milkshake. When the server asked me if I wanted a small or large salad I asked what the difference in size was, since it wasn't explained on the menu to which they just kind of shrugged at me. Regardless of the perhaps lackluster service I really loved my food, the true, lived in vintage aesthetic and overall experience. Is 10.25 perhaps a bit expensive for a milkshake, i'd say so....but considering the overpriced reality of any trip to Hollywood I think it's something I would not regret spending my money on. Even though I can see why someone would rate this spot a 3, I simply cannot let my own rating fall below a 5 because I know the next time I'm in town it will be looming in my mind as the ideal place to feed my belly and nostalgic heart.

Now,…read moreit's not the absolutely most spectacular meal I've ever had, but considering how much of a tourist trap it is and how small the crowd was for dinner on a Friday evening, it was pretty darn good stuff. Our server was Juno and she was one of the best waitresses around! Sweet, attentive, super friendly, and her smile couldn't be beat! I ordered the short rib grilled cheese with a side of twisty fries or curly fries, and a Grants milkshake.. The food is definitely expensive the sandwich alone was something like $25 for the sandwich plus $2 for the fries being "upgraded" to curly fries. The shake was $11. For the size of the sandwich, $25 is steep. But you do get a big pile of fries for the upgrade price. The sandwich was toasted well and crispy on both sides, the short rib was tender a tad dry but great flavor, and there was a good amount of cheese! I think it sat for a while because the cheese had congealed so the timing was a slight issue but didn't ruin the sandwich. The fries on the other hand were a big miss. They were SO salty and pretty dry, like my mouth was parched for water every time I ate a curly fry. I don't know what happened there but the $2 was a waste. Now back to the good - the shake was amazing. For $11 they give you a full glass plus the extra in the metal cup. It was so well balanced between the nutella and banana flavors without being overly rich or sweet. It was thick too and had really great consistency. Sadly the sandwich filled me up so I couldn't finish the shake but I would definitely return for a milkshake in the future! Overall, a solid experience and I was pleasantly surprised, and I'd be happy to return if I was in the area!
