Tried this place for the first time tonight and it was incredible! Great happy hour every day until 6pm and has both drinks and food options. The sweet potato's were surprisingly delicious! But the all around favorite was the peas and carrot pasta. 10/10! Parking was easy, service was great, lots of seating!

Let's start by saying AMAZING SERVICE! And then... AMAZING DRINKS and even more AMAZING FOOD! You MUST try this little gem. I love loved it and now I'm in trouble because I live 5 min away. The place is chill and inviting and you'll feel right at home.

I ordered takeout directly and ended up having a full-blown culinary experience I was not emotionally prepared for. First of all, this place is tucked into a tiny little plaza, and finding the door felt like unlocking a hidden level in a video game. There's also a Changing Hands bookstore right there, which I did NOT expect, but fully appreciated. Bonus points for the private parking lot because I was in full "grab food and disappear" mode. Let me set the scene: I rolled up looking like I had just survived a swim lesson in 2003. Sweatpants, questionable hair, zero regard for society. And you know what? Still had a totally smooth, easy pickup experience. So if you're like me, go anyway. If you know people in the area... maybe brush your hair first. Now, the food. Grilled cabbage: What in the actual magic is this? I did not know cabbage could taste like this. It was charred, slightly crisp but still had bite, layered atop a creamy yellow sauce (I NEED to know what that is), plus something with a little heat (Harrisa?), like not spicy, just a warm background kick, and crispy bits that might've been garlic or onions. There were so many flavors happening I literally had to pause and process my life. Even after sitting in the box for a bit, it held up. I devoured it. Would 100% order again without hesitation. Lamb kofta: Okay, honesty moment, I do not usualy eat the meats and I get weird about doneness. These were dense, juicy, and packed with flavor, but a little too pink/soft/squishy for my personal comfort at first. That said, once I gave them a quick air fryer moment, they were delicious. Flavor-wise? Incredible. Dressing the pita with everythung gave this warm, almost ginger-like heat (I think from the peppers?) that hits just right. The pepperoncinis could not have been your average jar situation, something different about them. Would it be my first pick next time? Probably not. But was it good? Absolutely. Greek salad (small): Perfectly balanced. Like, every bite just worked. Olives, dates, goat cheese, farro, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion, nothing overpowering, everything in harmony. The dressing leaned a little tangy, almost vinegar-forward, but it balanced beautifully with the creaminess of the goat cheese and those little hits of sweetness from the dates. And the dates weren't like "oh, here's a date," it was more like "wait... was that a date? thank you." Also held up beautifully overnight in the fridge, no soggy sadness. It felt more like a really well-done side than a full meal, I was genuinely impressed. Overall: I went in expecting "quick pickup dinner" and ended up having a full sensory experience with cabbage as the star of the show (never thought I'd say that in my life). I'm already thinking about what I'm ordering next.

I recently visited Tesota with my girls and had a bit of a mixed experience. The location is great it's right on a busy street and conveniently next to a bookstore, which makes it an easy place to stop by. Parking in the restaurant's lot is pretty limited, but there is an overflow lot across the street which helps. The atmosphere inside was relaxing and comfortable, which I appreciated. The service was friendly as well. Our waiter was very nice, although service overall was a little slow. It seemed like they may have been short-staffed, and our waiter was also taking care of a large party at the same time, so that may have played a role. Foodwise, it didn't quite hit the mark for me. The pancake was very large, which could be great, but it arrived warm on the close side of Luke warm, rather than hot. I think it would've been much better if it had been brought out right when it was finished. The bacon was a bit inconsistent too some pieces were cooked perfectly while others were undercooked, almost as if they came from two different batches. Overall, the experience just wasn't my personal favorite, so I probably wouldn't return. That said, the location and atmosphere are nice, and others might have a better experience than I did. With a few adjustments especially getting the food out hot and keeping the cooking consistent it could easily be a much stronger visit.

Friends and I visited this location on Saturday, February 28, a little after 11 AM. The scenery is very nice, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming. Eric provided excellent service -- he was kind, attentive, and very helpful with drink selections and menu recommendations. They offer happy hour every day from 2 PM to 6 PM with both food and drink specials. That's definitely the best time to visit if you're looking to save and enjoy some great deals. On average, a meal with a drink ranges from about $20-$30 or more depending on what you order. We ordered the classic cheeseburger (well done) with wedge fries, the crispy fish sandwich with wedge fries, and the butter pecan pancake served with a side of bacon and a coffee drink. The drink I had that was very good was called newton's fig. Overall, the food and drinks were very good and flavorful. A small tip for future visitors: you may want to request the wedge fries cooked less crispy, as ours were a bit too hard to fully enjoy. Also, make sure the bacon is cooked thoroughly, as some pieces were slightly undercooked. The pancake was 1 big size maybe would be better to to have 2 pancakes per order w: 1 side included. In addition; to make sure all food is brought out hot not warm because all our food was just warm. The restaurant is conveniently located in our plaza and offers both a main parking lot and overflow parking across the street. There are also other nearby stores to enjoy, including a bookstore and a breakfast spot right next door. Overall, we had a good experience with delicious drinks, good food, and friendly service, and we would visit again.

I was looking for a somewhat nice restaurant to dine in for lunch, and found it. The restaurant has a great vibe, with attentive staff. There is plenty of seating, mostly indoors, but they also offer tables outdoors on the patio. I sat outside. I came during the week. Only a couple other parties dining. This restaurant most likely gets busier at night, on the weekends. I ordered a salad and Mac and cheese. The food was delicious. Staff were extremely attentive I felt like I was the only one in the restaurant. Parking: Plenty of free, shared parking with a couple other businesses.

Ive had breakfast here at least half a dozen times and every time it's been delicious. Today I was with friends and I had a glass of the fresh squeezed OJ (which was amazing, like candy almost) and the Banana Foster pancake. My friends had the Lox sandwich and Classic Cheeseburger. All three blew us away. The server(Rachel) was friendly and fast, even though she misspoke about the Lox being made in house it was still fantastic. The atmosphere has a casual but elevated vibe with great lighting and warm furnishings. Will definitely be back.

Went in to grab a bite with friends to celebrate a couple birthdays and had such a great experience. Lyric was such a beautiful young lady with amazing customer service! Truly the reason I'd come back again and again. She made our night feel extra special. The outdoor space is very spacious, which made it perfect for our group. After my 3rd try, I have to move away from this place. My first visit was wonderful! The place had just opened. It was so nice to see the old Southern Rail space turned into something new! I was a regular at Southern Rail, and after the first visit to Tesota, I was so happy to have that space opened again. "Ya Ya" the manager was lovely! The bartenders seemed nice. The second visit was a couple of weeks later. Much more busy, and you could tell that the staff was stressed! Maybe the third time would be the sweet spot! Nope! The service was worse than visit #2! The overall attitude by the bartenders was that I felt like I was being a bother to them! So sad! I ate there on visit #2, and the food was quite good. The service, however, was not. With 3 tries, sorry Tesota..... you struck out! There are so many other great places in the area that I will go to instead. Makes me kinda sad! I had high hopes! read more

First time here. Our server Ralph was awesome. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. We sat inside and it was very comfortable. Started with the bread and spread. Mixture of chips and bread were perfect. Onto the salad, two of us had the Asian Herb Salad and others had simple greens. Both were great. The dressing really brought out the flavors. Gemelli "Peas & carrots" was great, like an upgrade Mac & Cheese. Wild salmon and Salumi Pizzaetta were also a hit. Let's not forget the drinks. Warner Old Fashion was very delicious. Could have drank those all night! Newton's fig was also a star. Just to finish off our amazing meal, we had the olive oil cake and chocolate cake to share. Wow! We will definitely be back. read more

Tesota recently opened, and what a wonderful culinary experience it is! The menu is filled with interesting choices , and the food is fresh, beautifully prepared, and priced right. Our meals were delicious. The restaurant is centrally located, airy and arty, with a beautifully stocked bar. I went here 6/14 to celebrate my birthday dinner with friends. We had a reservation for 6. First: Upon arrival the host was very flustered, and seemed very frazzled. The restaurant was getting busy, but not to the point where there was a line out the door etc. Second: The host brought us to our table, and tried to squeeze us into a booth table with 2 chairs. We asked for another chair so we weren't so squeezed and she didn't really know how to answer, and we ourselves grabbed another chair from a table. Third: the table was so off balance and two younger staff came to assist fixing, but made us bend down under the table and place a wedge...when the staff should have done not me, in a dress bending under the table. Fourth: I ordered the fish katsu. I cut the sandwich in half, and took a bite of one half and then noticed a blueish/gray circle on the bun of the second half. Upon inspection it looked like the bun had been moldy. I notified the server, and he took the sandwich back for the chef to inspect and stated he would have the sandwich remade. He took it so fast, and didn't ask if I would like something else. The second sandwich was brought to me, the server said the chef stated it wasn't mold, and that it was the sauce....when the sauce is a yuzu mayo...nothing on the sandwich resembled anything blue or gray. The fish was also undercooked as it was rushed back out to me. I notified the server again of the blue/grey spots and my continued concern for mold. He took the sandwich back, and the general manager came out to the table and told me that the chef again inspected the sandwich, and the chef again stated it wasn't mold. I told the manager that i'm just not comfortable eating the sandwich, with my concerns of mold. He asked if I would like something else and I ordered the Yakisoba to go. Fifth: upon receiving the bill, I was not charged for the two bad fish sandwiches but still charged for the yakisoba. There was really no accountability taken by the staff and chef, and I felt gaslit about the moldy bread. I know what mold on bread looks like. So it was really unfortunate I was treated this way, and I was not even offered to have my meal covered. Also my friends made the reservation with a note that it was my birthday, and we were not offered desert or anything to recover our bad experience. I would not recommend this restaurant to others, and will not be going back. read more

There must be a sign on my face that says "mess with me" or else I do not know why this always happens. We just left this place, we were really excited to try a new place in the area and this sounded good. I got the steak, one of the most expensive things in the menu and my husband got the ahi bowl. The ahi bowl came out about 15 minutes before the steak. Meaning he was either going to wait there with raw ahi ahi getting warm or eat and I told him to eat. When the server noticed, about 15-30 mins it was a bit too late and we were late on my steak and had empty cocktails. I know this was a kitchen problem but we are also trying to have a nice meal for an occasion. Kinda ruined everything. The server offered a dessert on house but... I hate dessert, we ordered some anyways. Wish there was a better solution like free cocktails but overall I'd just like good service. I'd take excellent service any day when we are at a nice restaurant. read more

Everything was delish! My group had gluten allergies and they found options available! The service was awesome and waitstaff were attentive without going too much overboard... they were knowledgeable about the menu!! Personally I liked it better than Southern Rail. Only because I am not generally a fan of southern foods but Teosota is a Latin food scene that's taken that genre to upscale Nuevo and it was yummy! read more

The $1 wings during HH is the best value around: $5/5 or $10/10 and dry or buffalo sauce. The wings are a good size and come with the best ranch I've had in a while. read more

My friend and I tried Tesota for lunch. We both loved our cocktails- White Tai and Golden Hour. We ordered the harissa shrimp and the medit-arean. All of it was amazing! The service was phenomenal. Eric was our waiter and gave excellent recommendations! Can't wait to return and try some other items on the menu. Vegetarian friendly! read more

Had such a good time here. We ate on the patio, and everything was perfect. My wife and I were entertaining our in-laws - we have two little ones so it was an early evening. Server was considerate of our kids and sped things along while giving us space to chat when we needed it. Cannot say enough good things about the service, food and cocktails. We shared a bunch of apps. The trio of dips was a standout. I had the salmon. It was cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly, everything I wanted. We were really excited to try this new concept since we love Gallo Blanco. Tesota didn't disappoint. We had the bread and spread, the grace's yakisoba noodles (I will be back just for this dish specifically) and the margherita pizza. SO SO good, all of it! The ambiance is really nice and the staff even better. Eric helped us on our first visit and went above and beyond. Very friendly and made the recommendations of what we tried food and drink wise and did not miss. We will be back for sure! read more

Back in October, we had a fantastic experience here, and we were looking forward to hosting another happy hour. However, things took a sharp turn for the worse this time around. From the beginning, we made it very clear that this would be a small gathering. Yet, when we tried to finalize plans, they suddenly imposed a minimum food requirement and essentially told us they couldn't accommodate us unless we prepaid. This was never mentioned during our initial discussions, and it felt like they didn't value us as returning customers. What's most upsetting is how they seemed perfectly fine helping us the first time, but now their tone and policies have completely changed. We'll never come back, and I would caution anyone planning an event here to proceed with extreme care. The next restaurant from the makers of Otro, Tesota is a fun variation of comfort food. High quality dishes in amazing flavor combinations. My taste buds were not disappointed. My only possible suggestion is to have more/add more/more and more. I especially liked the small dishes to share. Who knew that potatoes could be so yummy with crème fraiche. Staff are friendly and reassuring. Love the location next to Changing Hands but if I don't make it over there because I am enjoying Tesota, well that's ok also . (PS the chocolate cake did make me stray from my diet. I had no regrets.) read more

Tesota offers some good drinks, but I wasn't overly impressed by the food selection. While the cocktails were well-crafted and enjoyable, the menu left something to be desired. I felt that there are far better places to go in the area that offer a more diverse menu at a better price point. The atmosphere is nice, making it a decent spot to grab a drink with friends, but if you're looking for a full dining experience, you might want to explore other options. The food at Tesota was absolutely excellent--every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. What truly made the experience memorable, though, was the outstanding service. Honestly, a little fancy for my tastes, but I actually enjoyed it. Very nice ambiance, perfect for a date night (yup even someone like me can get a date)!!! Service was 5 stars all around, too. The food was the star of the show, however. Its worth every penny and is some of the finest fare to be offered. read more

We were looking to try this place after it replaced the southern style restaurant here. We liked the ambiance before and Tesota improved on it. The servers are friendly the food is surprisingly affordable. I got the right oz steak and my wife had the Japanese noodles. Great spot! Great food! read more

Good overall spot. Food is solid and hits the craving, nothing crazy but definitely satisfying. Broth was decent, portions were fair. Only downside is the prices--they're not great for what you get. Really comfortable place with nice aesthetics. Eric our server made the experience a pleasurable one! He had great recommendations, especially the Harrisa shrimp! The salsa is to die for and the shrimp are huge. Eric is a passionate employee you do not see often, we will be back! read more
