Not sure if that was how it was cooked or if it fell in from another dish. The black-eyed peas were tasty. I also had a cup of the chicken corn chowder which was good. However, there was pieces of cubed chicken in it which also made me think that it was a prepackaged soup and not homemade. My dad got the coconut cream pie, which tasted good, but could have used more coconut then just on the top. Trust me, there are other places between my house and McGregor but at least this time, I thought it was good enough to drive 7 hours roundtrip to have jalapeño and cheese link sausage made with my venison. One tip-they take cash and checks. They said they take credit cards during gun season but this was bow season and I had to go find an ATM to get cash. Another tip - they have two locations.
