My salad plate. - beets were insanely good.
    Brooke N.

Every month, my boyfriend and I dedicate a night to romance and, apparently, gluttony. This month's mission: MEAT. All the meat. More meat than anyone could possibly eat. Somehow, I convinced him to join me to Texas de Brazil. The salad bar alone was a work of art - a beautiful, chaotic tapestry of meats, cheeses, and things that weren't meat. And their Brazilian vinaigrette? I'm pretty sure it's liquid gold. Then the real fun began. A parade of team members, each wielding a different, glorious cut of meat. I sampled a single slice of nearly everything. My boyfriend? He went for the "competitive eating" approach, easily downing two or three slices of each offering. Just when I thought I couldn't possibly fit another piece of protein, they brought out the fried bananas. Wow! All thoughts of moderation vanished as I devoured the entire plate. Please don't tell anyone. I almost grabbed a carrot cake to go, but then I remembered my "working on my figure" mantra (which, let's be honest, took a significant hit tonight). The verdict? He's already planning our next visit, and "more often" was stated multiple times. I fear I've unleashed a meat-loving beast. Send help and maybe a fruit bowl??

Bring your appetite! This place is a meat lovers dream. Perfect for people on a Keto diet. So many choices! It's amazing actually. The salad bar is chock full of meats and cheeses and vegetables. There's a soup station. I tried the lobster bisque. It was delicious, although it could have been a little hotter. We were the first ones there at 4 o'clock. Someone was getting some on our way out and it was piping hot. I have never been here before. It was a cool experience. If you haven't read any of the previous reviews, and don't know how it works, flip your coin to green and they bring this beautiful meat to your table and carve it right there. They bring skewers of bacon wrapped chicken or Parmesan encrusted pork loin. The chicken and pork was moist. Delicious! They slide the chicken and pork right off the hot skewers. And they were right there with offerings, because I didn't turn my chip around. Red for stop, green for go. I did not try the sausage because I was getting so full. It looked amazing. I also tried the fillet but I gave that to my nephew because I'm not a fan of red meat. Most of the beef is medium to medium rare, and I prefer medium well to well done. I had a sliver of the flank steak and it was so good! I really liked the cold green beans from the buffet and the beets. The fresh mozzarella and goat cheese, cherry tomatoes, just endless! So fresh and delicious. The place is huge and welcoming. The staff was amazing. A nice experience! I will definitely bring friends next time!

    "Full martini"? I think not

Christmas day, and the salad buffet was perfectly stocked and fresh. Jose was a little light on the martini pour, otherwise, the usual good service from this chain.

We made a reservation online to celebrate a friend's birthday. Upon arrival we were greeted by the hostess. We were informed they can not sit us until the entire party arrives We did not wait long. We were walked to our table but the hostess, as soon as we sat our waiter, Hector B, arrived and kindly introduced himself. We informs him it was our first time. He took his time explaining in detail how it works. What was at the salad bar and how many choices of meet were available. He took our drink order and we made our way over to the buffet. An amazing array of meats (includes seafood), veggies and sauces. The hot buffet contained white rice, black beans, scalloped potatoes, soup and a mushroom item. My favorite meat selection was the spicy beef. The bathroom was dark but the dining area was decorated beautifully, not too noisy. They sang Happy Birthday to the birthday girl. Dessert was good, nothing to die over. Overall a great time.

Lamb chops are now an additional charge? What is the additional charge? Are they going to return to the regular menu anytime soon?

Good afternoon. Lamb chops are now $18 (full skewer) or $9 (half skewer). This a permanent change as of now. Thank you.

Is lunch cheaper than dinner? I see the restaurant is open for lunch Sat-Sun. Wondering if it's less than $45/pp.

Lunch is $10 cheaper than dinner. I wouldn't recommend the lunch we tried it and the meat service is very very slow and limited during lunch (so much so my wife wants to cross it off the list) its worth waiting for dinner and spending the extra…

The peach salmon was another standout, with the lemon-flavored rice adding a unique touch. And the Chocolate Cookie Skillet is an absolute must-have! Other highlights include the stuffed mushrooms, truffle parm fries, and tiramisu, and the service was quite good as well. First, your Brunch menu and food are excellent, when we finally got our food - after roughly an hour of waiting - I was instantly reminded of why Dove and Deer is great - bold flavors, excellent preparation, gorgeous plates all in a city that desperately needs it. Second, I really felt bad for the 3 people responsible for running an entire restaurant on a Sunday (two waiters and one person in the kitchen). They did their absolute best, were so kind and apologetic, but obviously completely stressed out and frazzled. Tables got up and left after waiting for someone to get back to them - and we almost did too. It's unfair to restaurant staff to put the burden of running an entire place on them. I get if someone called off and you're short staffed 1 or 2 people, but did everyone call off? Besides 3 people? Come on. You have a real opportunity to be a go to brunch destination, my advice is to staff appropriately and give it a real go or risk customers not getting to experience the greatness that is your food - and taking their dollars to someplace far more mediocre. The only reason this isn't a 2 star or 1 star review is because of how hard your staff tried, and how good your food is (when it finally shows up).

From Michael the manager, meeting & greeting us to checking in on us while we were dining, to Emma, our server waiting on us, anticipating our every single need, to the food being cooked to perfection. I cannot recommend enough how this is the go to place in upstate NY. THIS IS THE PLACE We waited for a few members of our party with two martinis at the bar, which cost $38. I deconstructed the Cosmo, which was a splash of peach and kettle one which was a three dollar of charge for an $18 drink. We had the back room for a large party (9)Servers staff were friendly and accommodating. I was surprised at how long it took too get seated. The seafood tower of lovely had asked for warm butter. The side dishes are all à la carte but the potatoes and the asparagus excellent. Mistakes were done as ordered just been prepared for price shock. I recommend the crème brûlée for dessert and the naughty Irishman coffee.. overall was a nice experience with attentive, weight, staff and creative and with a sense of humor! I personally cannot afford to go there except for very special occasions. A meal at Ruth's Chris feels like an event. There's so much anticipation. Yes, the prices are high but it seems that you get what you pay for. A wonderful meal with top notch service and ambiance. I did not find it pretentious. I was concerned that it might be. There is no dress code. While some dressed up, others were casually dressed. One man even showed up in a very wrinkled shirt and the staff treated him as well as any other guest. The wait staff is amazing. Our server was Valbon. He was gracious, helpful and very thorough in describing food preparation. My friend had a Porterhouse Steak prepared medium well done with just a bit of pink. It was a massive steak. He said it was prepared perfectly. Same for the mashed potatoes and asparagus. I don't eat much red meat. Valbon recommended the sea bass for me. It was remarkably tender. I enjoyed the sautéd vegetables, too. I was amazed that I finished my entire meal. My friend took part of his giant steak home and enjoyed it the next day. I asked for a light cocktail. A vodka-based Lemon Drop martini was recommended for me. It's a popular drink there. It was just right. Ruth's Chris is a chain. I know that some people frown on eating at restaurant chains because of quality concerns. But Ruth's Chris is fine dining and the food preparation is apparently held to high standards. Our meals were enjoyable. It was our first time trying this restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday. They added decorations on our table and also gave my wife a small cake and candle which was a nice gesture. Steak was great and service was excellent. Our server was very friendly and even the manager stopped at our table to greet us. We will definitely come back.

It's an essential stop whenever I'm in Albany, striking that rare balance between upscale sophistication and genuinely warm hospitality. Under the leadership of Jaime Ortiz and Ken Kehn, the restaurant continues to deliver a consistently exceptional experience. We had a 6:30 p.m. reservation for five while celebrating a friend's 45th birthday. We arrived early to enjoy the outstanding happy hour offerings, including $11 well martinis, excellent deviled eggs, oysters, and duck wings. The next day, I reviewed the bar tab and noticed we had been charged $16 per martini instead of the happy hour price. Since we ordered several rounds, the difference was significant and also affected the gratuity, as we tipped 22 percent. To the restaurant's credit, when I returned and pointed out the mistake, the staff addressed it promptly and reimbursed us for most of the overcharge. 677 is a good choice if you're visiting for a celebratory steak dinner, a business meal, or cocktails at happy hour, every detail feels polished and thoughtfully executed. One standout is the Hanging Tomahawk for Two -- a dramatic 50-ounce prime cut, sliced tableside and paired with parmesan- and butter-breadcrumb-crusted fingerling potatoes. It's every bit as impressive as it sounds. What truly elevates the experience is the staff. They don't simply serve guests -- they anticipate needs before you even realize them. In an era when fine dining can sometimes feel formulaic, 677 Prime distinguishes itself through constant refinement and a commitment to making each visit better than the last. Easily one of the finest restaurants in Albany. One pro-tip: review your tab before paying.

I think many fathers have an idea of how they'd like to spend their special day. This particular dad (divorced) loves bbq. So we went. An adult son came along, too. I was not prepared for the spectacle. The large parking lot on Wolf Road in Colonie was very full. There was a line of people waiting outside. Some were standing while others were seated on cushioned benches. The management had pitched a tent at the front entrance where staff took care of check-in. I'd gone online before arriving and placed our party of three on the restaurant chain's online "waitlist" system. It sent me a text message telling us what time to arrive. We were right on time. The staff checked us in and ushered us inside. We were seated at a table within about five minutes. The restaurant doesn't take reservations but its waitlist system was remarkably efficient. Kudos to the staff for making it seem effortless. There were hundreds of people dining at the restaurant and yet we were greeted by three or four staffers who took our orders, checked on us repeatedly and kept bringing us refills of those deliciously warm bread rolls. Since this is most definitely a family restaurant--there are large monitors on the walls playing goofy videos and a tablet on each table with video games--to keep both children and adults occupied. In keeping with the Western theme there are longhorn window decorations and heads of bison, antelope, billy goats and deer on the walls. Our drinks were served almost immediately. I ordered a mocktail called passion fruit sparkler just in case I needed to be the designated driver. The entrees took a bit more time. With so many people to serve, we just had to be patient. So I played the games on the tablet. The server eventually arrived with my order of the beef tips in mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes and cooked vegetables. The meal was hot and delicious. Everyone was happy with their meals. We were stuffed. I took half of my meal home. Who knew that Father's Day at the Texas Road House was a cultural event? A phenomenon of sorts. I'm still amazed how the staff made everything work so smoothly. With so many families to feed it could have ended up disastrous but it turned out to be just the opposite. My friend had a great day which was made even better when his son surprised us all by insisting on paying for the entire meal. Thanks Texas Road House.

The restaurant was lovely with caricatures of some famous people on the walls. It was very spacious and comfortable. We were sat at a booth and had a very good waitress. We first ordered the calamari. It was delicious!! For me, it was the first time I had this dish prepared "properly" because the calamari was tender and lightly breaded. So good. My friend said it should never be rubbery or chewy (the way I've mostly had it). For my dinner, I ordered the linguine with clam sauce. I asked her which was the better option, and she said most people order it with the white sauce, so I did. And I'm glad I did, although I know I would've probably liked the red sauce too. It was very good. The clams were perfect and the pasta had chopped clams too. It was so good. One of my Italian favorites and it was perfect. My friend raved about his Veal Marsala. I also had a glass of house Pino Grigio which was lovely. The next day we came back and had dinner again here on Sunday, after the conference. All he wanted was the calamari for his dinner, and he shared it with me. I had a taste for some traditional pasta so I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. I loved it and shared some of it with him because those meatballs were yuge!! And so very tasty. His Italian self said they were made very well. Yum!! With our meals I forgot to mention that we were also served warm Italian bread with butter. Perfect accompaniment. After dinner I wanted something sweet but not too heavy and I enjoyed the berries. It was perfect after my filling pasta dinner. This restaurant is very good, food is delicious and the waitstaff is welcoming and attentive. We even walked around and toured all the interesting artwork in the restaurant before we left the last night. I wish to be able to come back here again soon! I love a good chop steak and find fewer and fewer restaurants offering it. I usually have to go with a large hamburger. This was a welcome choice and really [really] good. Overall, we were all VERY HAPPY to have come here and we all truly enjoyed ourselves. We look forward to visiting a LongHorn not far from where we live. On a personal note... I DO NOT understand the one star reviews. These are not regular Yelp users as shown by the fact that they have no friends, no pictures and either one or two reviews. DO NOT pay attention to them. People are definitely entitled to their opinions but these clearly do not reflect the views of all the people who have been here. KUDOs to the team at LongHorn Steakhouse!

The Roosevelt Room in Troy was a great experience from start to finish. I was honestly expecting a standalone building, but it is tucked into a strip mall near HVCC. That said, parking was easy and stress free, which is always a plus. This was our first visit as a party of four, and the service was superb. The attention to detail really stood out and was noticed immediately. Our waitress checked in at the right times, kept drinks filled, and made sure everything came out exactly as expected. Meals are made to order, so substitutions were no issue at all, and it was nice to see gluten free options available. When you walk in, you pass through a curtain and are immediately greeted by a coat attendant who takes your coats, which instantly gives the place an upscale feel. The ambiance is well done, with soft lighting and nice background music. It is on the smaller side and dimly lit, but that is clearly intentional. The menus actually light up, which was a unique and thoughtful touch that fits the atmosphere perfectly. We had reservations and were seated right away. It did not seem necessary on this particular evening, but I would definitely recommend them on a weekend given the size of the space. The food itself was excellent. Everything we ordered was very tasty, and the presentation across the board was impressive. Desserts are prepared by a pastry chef and were just as good as the rest of the meal. It is definitely on the pricey side, but that is to be expected for the level of service and atmosphere. This feels like a special occasion type of place, and in that context, it is worth every penny. We really enjoyed our night and would absolutely come back. There was also a sign mentioning live jazz on Fridays, which sounds like a great added touch. Overall, a very strong 5 stars.

Located in a strip near HVCC, once through the doors you are greeted by a friendly to welcome and direct you and we were directed to our goal- the bar. First, the design and decor are beautiful. It has clean, updated mid-century modern design that's very cool and elegant. At the bar we we had the pleasure of being served, hosted, by Erika and Ed. Wonderful mixologists who made our time there a true delight. We had scrumptious, perfectly made cocktails and our apps were delicious. Before our apps arrived, we were given an amuse bouche (manchego cheese with fig.) What a nice touch. Will definitely be back.
