Of all the churrasco restaurants I have been to, this one would rank as the most underwhelming for me in terms of variety, especially at the high price point you're paying. There weren't that many (beef) options, and the rotations that kept frequenting our table was the chicken options. Whenever we DID get around to the beef options (which took extremely long whenever we request for it or if it made its way to us), the slices are extremely thin, and it gets thinner if you ask for another slice. I don't know if this is because the carvers want to save time while the other meats are roasting or what, but to wait awhile for the different selections of meat to come out only to receive a small sliver was extremely disappointing. Best cuts of beef for me were the flank and the beef ribs. The salad bar was okay. I felt like there can be more items added. I enjoyed the tabouleh the most, along with the shrimp salad. TLDR; I don't recommend this place for groups of large families/friends based on my experience. Food; if you like really spicy food & really strong flavored food, then go and enjoy. Ambience; it's as loud as Cheesecake Factory. Service; only visit if you can sit as a small group of 4-5 people. There was much left to be desired but it was still a pretty good experience overall. Fortunately, it was a get together for a invite and so I had decided to attend on the day. They had given us time to get drinks, and so service had went around and they attended to every single table as you can tell by the one picture there's three tables which had about maybe 20 people to each table and saw they had a huge group and we had been attended to quite nicely. I had ordered a Sauvignon Blanc And it was there a particular brand of wine for the restaurant so I guess it would be called the house wine. It was a good thing that I did pick the white because they're cold buffet had a lot of things that. Really nicely with that wine such as. - roasted cous cous salad, fresh roasted beats I'm kind of olive oil marinate, sliced not shaven Parmesan, sliced salmon, red and white onion slivers, sautéed mushrooms, fresh tabouli salad, white sauce potatoes at gratin, shrimp salad, Brie (a whole wheel) hearts of palm cut in long diagonals... ((All the things you see on my plate)) the waiters and waitresses were very accommodating. They were going around and they also had to deliver fries to the table, garlic, mashed potatoes to the table and some thing that had been rolled in cinnamon and sugar and it was banana, so I think it was like a banana fosters without the pudding. They seem to want to come around and collect the tickets when you're ready for your next drink, but the thing is they didn't come around enough times to serve water. We had one person at our table that was drinking, a lot of water and the waiters or the waitresses took a while to come back when we told them about three times, but other than that it was pretty busy for them they may have been going around and other people had requested things and what not so I give them a pass on that it's really hard to help 60 people when you have a lot of people requesting for things. in a sense that salad bar that they have is in my opinion very good even without the meat. I didn't even get any lobster bisque because there was just so much good cold food. I probably could've eaten just that portion. If I could just guess maybe I could try to ask them later, if there's a cost for eating without having any meat I have been on a pescatarian diet for a long time and I've only just implemented eating meat once every other week. Updated 01/03/26 - I decided to give Texas de Brazil in Honolulu a 2nd chance. New year, fresh start. So glad I did. We sat in the middle of the main room this time, and it was a huge difference. Granted, it wasn't the week of Christmas on Kama'aina Tuesday ;) Nonetheless, this is the experience that I remember from Las Vegas. Ku'ulei was our server and she was warm and friendly. Every gaucho that came by was incredibly kind...even though I only said "yes, please" to steak. I'm especially obsessed with the picanha and its perfectly seasoned and just-fatty-enough crust lol. What I loved the most is that I brought a friend with me who could only eat well-done cuts of meat and not only did they remember that, they brought both medium-rare and well-done options for each meat when they came around. Leadership is on point. I witnessed table touches at every table (including ours), and each interaction gave the impression of being genuine and not forced. We had a five o'clock reservation, I like being the first when every dish is neat and just in from the kitchen. Now and most importantly the food. I loved the salad bar. From the fresh Parmesan and mozzarella to the variety of greens, fresh beets, roasted garlic and jalapeños, hearts of palm, asparagus, couscous, green beens and more, so fresh! Definitely worth it if you go for their happy hour, not sure about paying full price for the dinner though as I don't eat that much meat. Service was great and attentive. The meat servers were very friendly and encouraged us to try different cuts of meat too. I like how their meats weren't oversalted like other Brazilian bbq place I've been to, and the meat was cooked just right too. Oh don't miss their filet mignon. Bomb! Also loved that they had lamb! It wasn't gamey at all. The buffet station got a bunch of good items too. My favorites were the charred cinnamon pineapple slices, the chimichurri sauce, the sautéed mushrooms. I wish I could like the lobster bisque but it was too salty! I had to pour some water into my soup to make it edible... They brought our fries and cheese bread for the table. I liked them both. The fries were battered, just how I liked them! Cheese bread wasn't the best I've had but I think it's because it wasn't served fresh hot. Had the most amazing experience at this restaurant! Me and my fiancé were looking for a great place to go to dinner on our first night in Oahu! We were told of this restaurant which was about a mile away from our hotel. We didn't mind the walk. Took a little bit of effort to find the hotel, was it was hard to find! This was a rodizio Brazilian steakhouse, with a Brazilian salad bar and then gaucho is coming around bringing different kind of meat. Our waiter Adam was absolutely wonderful, and had the coolest hair!!!! we were treated very nicely and two managers came up to talk to us! This place is really pricey $69.99a person, but you will not leave hungry. [Location] Texas de Brazil is located in Ala Moana Shopping Center, by Olive Garden and Macy's. I didn't see a restroom inside the restaurant but there's one very close by on the same floor. There's a lot more seating than I anticipated, though seats fill up quickly for the half-off deal! [Service] The hostess was efficient and very friendly. She's amazing! The employees carrying the meats are kind as well. My server for the night, Terry, was exceptional! Please be sure to tip the staff well. They work very hard! [Food & Drink] The salad bar is quite lovely, and well kept. I know people rave over the lobster bisque but it's a bit salty for my liking. Still worth a taste! You will get sides provided at your table such as the fries, mashed potatoes, bananas and cheese bread. The bread tastes great with the goat cheese from the salad bar. DO NOT BE LATE OR YOU WILL MISS THE SLOTS. The promotion is for the bar and select tables, so it is possible to be there at opening and miss out. If you are going during the promotion time, it is best to get there at least 10 min before opening. Some people did intend to stay the full 2 hour happy hour slot, and were allowed to do so, so seats typically won't open up. Even trying to eat quickly, it took me over an hour to get to try all the meats and until 5:30 to pay and finish my dessert. So instead, take your time, relax. Assume you are locked in for an approximately 2 hour experience. And be glad you made it on time. Checking out requires a manager during the promotion, so it can take a bit. Dessert is a separate cost, but is also discounted. Total with my dessert was about $50, and adding in tip was about 60 total. General note - the spice level of the spicy meats was higher than my usual, but I prefer things milder, so it may be just right for you. Almost everything was amazing, with the exception of the lobster bisque, which was a bit bland when I got it at the evening's start. My meal highlights were the sent to table Garlic mashed potatoes; the salad bar Potatoes au gratin; and the Parmesan pork and Garlic picanha (roast beef) that were wandering items. Like in a dim sum restaurant, the main dish meats wander the room and come to you. Meats start slow at open but they do all come around. I was sitting at far end of bar, and service was still good. Do still try to watch the room. The Parm chicken came around twice, but most cuts didn't. My creme brulee was eggy with a hint of lemon, crunchy top but deep and creamy custard under it. I would get it again even at full price. The restaurant's bathroom was small but clean. The men's had two stalls. The door had one of those foot grips for opening it without touching the handle. Honestly, having been to quite a few Brazilian steakhouses, I have a standard for the kind of service you usually get at these places. Unfortunately, this visit just didn't hit the mark. The service felt off from the start, even just waiting to be seated felt like a hassle. Once we were actually at the table, it didn't get much better. It felt like the staff was genuinely annoyed every time we had a request, which made the whole meal feel awkward. To top it off, we could literally hear the servers complaining about having to stay late and questioning why people even come in that late... which is pretty frustrating considering the restaurant is the one letting you book a reservation for that time in the first place. Disappointing experience overall. The wait time between meat service was very long, and when the food finally arrived, nearly 90% of the meats were medium-well or overcooked. Most cuts were very tough and difficult to chew, if you're looking for a jaw workout, this is the place. Several items were burnt, and the overall quality was far below expectations. The pacing, texture, and execution just weren't there. Unfortunately, this location doesn't compare to Texas de Brazil locations on the mainland, which are significantly better in both service and meat quality. Went on a Monday evening after exercise class. We were seated promptly and the servers bringing the meats and our table person was great. Meats came out hot and consistently. The host gave a recommendation for the beef ribs which were really tender. Wished we knew about beef ribs earlier. There wasn't a menu with a list of meats and prices. We did receive drink menus. The salad bar items looked fresh and we got full pretty quickly so didn't go back for seconds. As a gluten free diner, I wish they had signs that indicated if items contained allergens like gluten or dairy. When I asked my server which items were gluten free at the salad bar, the response was to look it up on the website. That's why my rating is a four instead of 5. It was a positive experience overall, but I think have a couple of letters on the signs that are already there informing people of the allergens would enhance the dining experience. read more

Reservations were made easy via Open Table. The restaurant is gigantic with many tables and sections, including private and semi-private rooms. The walls are deep red with chic tables to complete the ambiance. We were provided with excellent customer service. Our main server was Kuulei. We had many servers, which included the gauchos (servers that came around to carve churrascaria style meat). There are little coaster-like cards, one with a green side, and one with a red. The green side will let the servers know you would like meat, and the red side tells them that you need a break, or need to tap out. However, when I set mine to red, the servers came around anyway to ask if I wanted to try a meat. Many meats are made picanha style and there are over 12 different meats available served medium rare. If you prefer a different temperature, all you have to do is ask. My favorite was the braised beef ribs that were fall-off-the-bone moist, and rich and flavorful. Other favorites were the leg of lamb and filet minion. The only disappointment for me was the chicken. I tried two kinds: the bacon wrapped chicken and the parmesan drumettes. Both were dry. I expected as much, since chicken dries out pretty quickly, but was hopeful, especially when I thought the bacon would be its saving grace, but the chicken was really dry. Next time, I'll pass on the bird. Each meal comes with 4 refillable sides for the table. They include mashed potatoes, fries, sweet plantains, and Pao de Queijo (Brazilian cheese bread). They also have a buffet area where you can help yourself to soup, salad, and charcuterie type items like salami and cheese. The night we went, they were serving Lobster Bisque which was good, but my bowl was taken away prematurely and I opted not to get a second bowl because I was quickly filling up on the meat. I tried their signature cocktail, Caipirinha. It consists of cachaça, lime, and sugar. If you like mojitos, this drink is for you. Tastes very similar, but lest minty. I think all you can eat meal is well worth the $70/person if you love meat. Desserts are priced pretty straight-forward at $12.95/dish, but the flavors were anything but. We tried the Brazilian flan, pecan pie, key lime pie, creme brulee, chocolate mousse cake, and bananas fosters pie. Most of them were very rich. I enjoyed the key lime pie the most. The salad/vegetable bar had a good selection of sides- the fail was in that the serving utensils were left inside the platters and some had fallen into the food. The place says Tex-Brazil but didn't see anything that resembles Texas. They only had 2 good cuts of meat. The filet and flank. And they kept coming back with the salty Parmesan pork and chicken. 1 of the workers even came to the table with a plate of bones asking if we wanted short rib. If you're a carnivore this is the place for you. I dined with Nadine a while back and the selection was huge. We came for dinner and it was all you can eat for $69.99. They had a variety of food for the salad bar: greens, beans, cheeses, meats, soups, etc. I love lobster bisque and it's one of my fave soups. However, the soup here was a miss. It was lacking the natural sweetness of lobster and I couldn't taste the sherry. The Brazilian cheesy bread that they brought to the table was great. It was warm, cheesy and chewy. The fried banana was also very good. We got another order of those. You have two signs at the table, red for stop and green to keep it coming. They bring the meat on skewers and carve it at the table for you. We had sausage, chicken, steak, filet mignon and lamb to name a few of the items. It was coming so fast that I couldn't keep up with the names. I do remember the ribs being my favorite. I was so stuffed at that point that I could only manage to consume one rib. My boyfriend and I came here for dinner on July 4. It opens at 4 pm. Luckily we were the first ones to get here. I was so excited to eat the salad bar. Everything in the salad bar was good and so after we were served meats. A wide variety but I noticed the same ones coming. My boyfriend and I got meats such as lamb, prime rib, sausage etc..i forgot to post photos of the meat because it came out pretty quickly as we ate it. There's a green and red to say stop bringing the meats and we got to try a few rounds of the lamb which was good and juicy. Overall I would come back again but maybe with reservations because they may get busy.. Service was pretty good by our waiter. Food was fine but just not feeling it here for the price. All previous times we have celebrated here, a dessert was comped. Last time was just in April. They also have started dimming the lights in the restaurant. The lighting was dimmed significantly two times to where it was so dark by the time we were done that I signed the customer receipt and took the restaurant!'s copy home. My husband loves meat so we decided to go here for his birthday. I've been to fogo on the mainland and my husband have been to both on the mainland so we kind of compared our experiences there to here. I made a reservation for 5pm on a Monday. When we got there, I was surprised that there was people already eating inside. Service was really exceptional. My son has a severe peanut and tree nut allergy but our server informed us that my son could have all the meat and the sides they had brought to the table. He loved the French fries. Also there was a lot of people always offering us meat. The sides weren't as good as fogo on the mainland. The restaurant is actually pretty big so that's nice. I made dinner res at 5 PM in advance via OpenTable for four people. Check in process was a breeze. Highly recommend making res because there's a lot of people waiting outside and packed inside from 6 PM moving forward. Fave meats per preference were the picanha, garlic picanha, Parmesan pork and Parmesan drummette. Lobster bisque tasted spicy and three other guests at our table said it tasted salty. Only soup. Disappointed to see and not taste any pieces of lobster in the bisque. I really enjoyed leafy mixed greens, thinly sliced smoked salmon and one of their imported cheese. Potatoes Au Gratin was served heat hot and very yummy. Brazilian cheese bread was tasty; however, the side wasn't served hot even though it arrived in a basket with cloth napkin. Located on the 4th floor of Ala Moana SC, Macy's side, where Lens Crafters used to be, this buffet style restaurant is a place worth dining at for special occasions (only because it is a bit expensive, or if you are rich, every day or week). To be exact, it's a 4.5 because no Kamaaina Discount and they do not accept any GCs that was sold at a discount at Sams club, as well as my napkin had food stains on it or wasn't washed well, but they quickly replaced it after I showed them. They had an opening for 1pm for Easter lunch, so my family of 9 reserved a spot. This was during a yelp elite scheduled event, but unfortunately, I was not selected, so I am posting my review on here since I ate here as a regular patron. Salad buffet - 4.0 - by itself for $39.99. They had an easter special so it also included hot foods like scrambled eggs, portuguese sausage, lobster bisque soup, black beans and pastries. This could fill me up alone, but I was craving for their meats. Although a little pricy, a really good spread of fresh, upper scaled quality veggies, cheeses and cold meats. Only thing missing was an assortment of fresh fruits. They only offered pineapple for fruit. AYCE meat - 5.0 - for $69.99, it includes the salad bar, and they bring out a skewer of freshly bbq'd meat at a time, and after making their rounds, they re-roast and reseason the cut portions so the outside is again hot and flavorful. The brazilian meats are amazing, a variety of steak, lamb and pork, I could eat a whole bunch, always hot, freshly roasted and not oily or fried. I liked the inside medium rare cuts more because the outside was a litttle too salty, and the insides were seasoned only on the edges. I tried a spicy meat, which they said wasn't as spicy, but it was too spicy for me, and felt the burn in my mouth for a while. Drinks and desserts are not included in the buffet, so we bought ala carte at about $13 a piece. They offer free dessert of our choice for our birthday. All the desserts were delicious! Sevice - 4.5 stars - excellent service by our waiter and meat servers. He explained thoroughly about the different meats and desserts and answered which ones he thought was the best and which were popular. However the lamb, which I love, took very long to cook and finally offered, after an hour or so. Cold water were always being filled, and the meat servers were very friendly and happy to serve us, but sometimes skipped us. Lots of parking since it is at Ala Moana, so it can get crowded, but can always find one even if far away. Definitely will go here again for special occasions. Quality fresh meats and flavorful brazilian seasoning that goes with it. Wish they would at least accept GCs or have a Kamaaina or senior discount so I could go more often. read more

Personally, I feel like everything about here is just alright. With the price point being so high, I expected a better overall experience. Was first guided to my table and left without any explanation of how things worked despite expressing that it was our first time at the restaurant. We sat for a solid 5+ minutes just confused before my partner told that we should maybe go to the salad bar, I followed him very unsure as we, again, weren't told anything. We weren't helped till we have already begun eating for a bit, maybe totaling ~15mins before we were even given water. The food is alright. The meats were pretty good, cooked pretty well. I really enjoyed was the fact that the meats were obviously hot and fresh. Additionally, if you really like the crusts of your steaks, you would love this as this is all you will be getting, meaning every bite is quite flavorful. Other than that, I personally don't feel that this place entices me enough to come back. If I wanted really good steak, with the price point, I would just go to a steak house. Feels pretty gimmicky, would try once but not a repeat. Also everything other than the meats and the salad bar are extra charge, as a desert lover, I was slightly gutted (wouldn't mind paying the extra but it just didn't make sense in my mind). read more

Went out to dinner with the family this past Sunday. We were greeted warmly by the hosts and promptly seated. Our server Gaby was wonderful, offering many suggestions and recommendations for drinks and meat choices. She even noticed while walking by, that my soup(which wasn't as good as I had hoped) looked a little thin and would check in with the kitchen to see if they can bring it up to their normal standard. I didn't complain about it or voice displeasure. This was her recognizing the issue and ensuring quality for the customers. The rest of the experience was wonderful. Service was fast! So many meat choices as well. Definitely worth the cost as taking my family out, as I have definitely paid more and received far less in terms of food quality, service and overall experience. read more

Located on the top floor of the mall so we parked on the 3rd by Lucky Strike and went up the escalator by Macy's. The restaurant was bright and had a high ceiling, but gave me a sort of empty feeling. I'd have liked the darker lighting with romantic atmosphere but just my preference. We went there early in the evening and the place was empty, so we had all the attentions of workers and the service was decent. We were more focused on the meat than salad bar, and the best meat was Picanha. It was so soft and tasty. Other meats were okay. Some were overcooked or dry. It was definitely a fun experience, but I really wished that they had more meats that were as good as Picanha. Also, I thought cocktails were sweeter than the average. read more

Dinner in Honolulu, Hawaii... My friend, Angel, asked me where I wanted to eat. My answer: Texas de Brazil at Ala Moana Center. I had dined at the Las Vegas location and had fun! I guess the challenge is the $69.99 (plus tax and tip) pricetag, even though it's All You Can Eat. The other option is Salad Bar only - no meats - for $39.99 (plus tax and tip). The salad bar is extensive! It included items such as lobster bisque, cold cuts, Cole slaw, and Sautéed mushrooms. Some sides were brought to our table: sugared, fried plaintains, mashed potatoes, crunchy French fries, and yummy cheesy bread. The meats kept coming... filet mignon, bacon-wrapped chicken, steak, lamb, sausage, etc. I couldn't keep track of everything. Service was very welcoming and polite! Our server was actually the bartender! All of the traveling meat servers were friendly! We went early on a Monday (4:15pm reservation) and had no problem with the free parking nor waiting for a table. The venue is spacious, clean, and beautiful! read more

Texas de Brazil is great for meat lovers, vegetarians, or anybody who loves to eat because it's all you can eat! Great salad bar with so many different veggies and even charcuterie. You got your starch bar with rice, beans, mushrooms, potatoes, and lobster bisque. Beautiful fancy interior with bar seating, regular dining, and section for big parties as well. Everyone was so friendly from the host, to our server, to the meat walkers lol. It's so cool. You have a medallion on your table for stop and go, stop is no meat, go is for the meat walkers to come and bring you the good stuff. That was so fun for them to come around and cut the meat off the meat holder right on to your plate and try the different types of meat!!! They have happy hour. We didn't even know they had happy hour, but it was so nice. We eat dinner early, so we went 4PM. Normal price per adult is $70. Happy hour is $50 per so that was awesome. I'm guessing happy hour is 4-5 or 6 on certain days? Not sure, but for the vegetarians, salad bar only is $40 per head! Everything was great, great place, great location - located in Ala Moana shopping center, between macys and maitais (same floor as maitais), if I not mistaken, was old Lens crafters, and also had one arcade place?, great food, great customer service!
