My experience at this restaurant was terrible. I came with very high expectations. They were very stingy with our Blooming Onion. My kids meal tenders were as small as popcorn chicken. I asked the waiter for BIGGER chicken tenders then they proceed to ask if I want to order more chicken tenders on the adult menu. I called the manager over and she was not very helping at all and basically repeated what the waiter said. Not to mention, she was very rude and nonchalant towards my concerns. We did a curbside pick-up order... first of all, if you try to call to place your order forget it, they left us on hold for like 15 min so we downloaded the app and placed the order. Since it was our first online order, we got a welcome coupon through email and got a free appetizer which was nice. When I got to the parking lot I had to call to tell them I was waiting outside, I recommend them to use the app to let them now who is waiting, but it was fine. My husband order the ribs which were good and i ordered the NY strip with shrimp. I requested my steak to be medium well and it was not. The server took and back and the manager brought it out. Wish I could rate 0 . The customer service was horrible and the food was horrible . I waited 1 hour to be seated on Sunday . The only reason I went here is because someone gifted me a $25 gift card . I explained this to the waitress and she took a picture of the gift card and took my debit card ( total was $40 ) once my party was ready ..... she charged my card the entire amount and didn't even use the gift card .......... I checked my card and realized I was charged the full amount . After telling her this she charged my card 5.99 more for a meal I didn't want . Then said that will be refunded also . So my husband and I came here on a Friday night when the place was pretty busy. We were advised it would be a 15 minute wait. Okay, cool. Total fine with us. We waited about that long until we were finally seated. Once we were seated we realized we weren't given any silverware. Not only that, but our waiter took quite a while to greet us. Once we got our drinks from him (Which also took a while) we put our food order in since we knew it would be a while until we saw him. And well we weren't wrong. Someone brought my Husband his second drink. Not too long after that we finally got our food. We had ordered the cheese fries to start. We didn't get those until we had already finished our meal and were ready for the check. When the lady brought them over to us we let her know we didn't want them. I'm pretty sure an appetizer is supposed to come out first. Not as a dessert. My husband ordered the herb crushed chicken which he thought was fine. I ordered the chicken critters and ribs. Everything except the ribs were great. Maybe I'm just used to the way we cook them at home (on a smoker for a few hours)... but they were terrible. Our server was very friendly... the few times we saw him. Other than the disgusting ribs and slow service (pretty sure a sloth would've been faster) everything else was ok. I was there for a birthday party with reservation. Surprisedly, the wait wasn't too long. Very crowded, need a better waiting area. The food was just okay. Nothing special. Some of my shrimps were undercooked, but the waitress saw that the whole meal was redone. Unfortunately it was still an inconvenience. Our waitress was accommodating, but a bit condescending at times which made our party feel very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I'm not impressed. I highly recommend this place. I put in a takeout order online and for me, it was earlier than ordering on the phone. The country fried chicken with a side of mashed potatoes with gravy and loaded sweet potato were exactly what the doctor ordered. And to my surprise, I found another Togo box in the bag and it contain dinner rolls with incredible honey cinnamon butter and that was the best. We waited an hour for our food that most came to our table COLD! Husband and I ordered a medium steak kabob each. It wasn't just well-done, it was charred! Broccoli was over-cooked and had a weird taste to it. Others at our table had cold food as well. We strolled in with a rather medium size party. About 8 people. We did the Join the Waitlist Online with an estimated wait time of about 20 minutes. When we got their, we actually had to wait an additional 30 minutes and it was very apparent the wait staff was annoyed with us. But it was the day the car drove through the building, so I might have been annoyed too. So pass granted. The waitress was very nice and polite. No issues with her except she disappeared towards the end our meal. I ordered the Steak, Loaded Mashed Potatoes, and Vegetables with a side House Salad. I particularly enjoyed the House Salad no issues there. However, the Steak was very salty. I felt like my mouth was a slug and the steak was the salt. I almost died. Others complained of their food being salty as well. The potatoes and vegetables were good - no issues. But not enough to come back. I had dinner with the family, and while the food was a little below the usual, the service was exceptional. Our car battery died, and roadside assistance was going to take hours. We went inside and asked the front staff for assistance; they were happy to help. Korbin was happy to help us. The ladies in the front offered to hold our baby in the cool while we figured things out. After Korbin got us all set, he showed us water for the road. Korbin went above and beyond. Like other locations, peanut shells litter the floor but that is just part of the restaurant trend for them. The beer selection is limited but I wouldn't expect extensive for this place. My mother wanted to dine here for her 52nd birthday but they were so packed that the line was out the door. We chose to come back on a less busy day doing the week, so we thought. It wasn't as packed as before but the entire restaurant was still full. I was familiar with the chain because I saw it on several trips to the mall in Savannah. I had never dined there before but always made a note to try them one day. There was always a line there too so I'm not surprised that there was a line in my hometown. The hostess greeted us and showed us the selection of hand cut steaks and told us that you could pick out which ever one we liked. I thought that was cool. We were quickly seated and showed different things on the menu. The hostess also placed bread on the table. It was baked to perfection and had a great butter concoction to accompany it. It was sweet and delicious. I think I ate about 3 baskets. Then, the waiter came and took our order. He was very friendly and even suggested things that were great on the menu. We ended up ordering Potato skins for an appetizer and I ordered steak and ribs with mixed vegetables and green beans for my meal. My mother ordered steak as well and a sweet potato and green beans too. The steaks were actually really good. We didn't even put any sauces on top of it. The flavor stood alone. The ribs were good as well. They were so tender and they fell off the bone. The sides were delicious too. The green beans were made with bacon and onions. It gave them a wonderful kick. All in all, my visit to Texas roadhouse was great. I even saw a friend of mine who works there. He raved about how he loved his job so much. It did seem like a fun environment. But the high point of the night was when the staff stopped everything they were doing and started doing the Footloose dance when it came on on the radio. Come here a lot. I was so impressed by their ability to cook a great steak time and time again. The flavor has always been top notch- not what you would expect from a chain at all. The staff is always friendly and adopts the southern charm very well. Highly recommend the salmon, shrimp, ribs, pork chop and BBQ baked chicken. This used to be THE best cooked and seasoned steak in the area. Unfortunately they've begun to fall on their ability to deliver a perfect steak every time. I can no longer trust the cooks in the back to get it right the first time. Also, the veggies are ALWAYS and obviously microwaved. Had dinner there last night and ordered the 20 oz rib eye rare with a Cesar salad and loaded baked potato. The steak was cooked to perfection! Flavor was on point and it was as tender as a dry aged steak. The Cesar was as expected as was the baked potato. They served a hot sauce that they make that was really good and HOT! Service was good .... a little on the slow side but acceptable. Overall I really enjoyed it and will be back for that same set up again!! As a chef I am very observant of meats and have typical only had steaks at very high end steak joints like Ruth's Chris or "better". I have not eaten at a reasonably priced steak house like this in many years. I was really surprised in the quality of food. Job well done!
