I wanted to take the time to review the takeout here at Texas Roadhouse because I am so amazed at how great they are doing. I have ordered takeout 3 times and I haven't been let down. The ordering process is easy and the pickup process is fast! The food is separated and organized neatly. Not to mention, it's still hot by the time you get home! Every bit of food has loads of flavor and considering it is takeout you still get a good amount of food. Plus, who can resist the bread rolls and honey butter? I know I can't. Last night, the family took the wife out for her birthday. There were nine of us. I used the call ahead and got on the list. Dinner was FOR 6:30. I was told it would be an hour wait. There were nine of us. We were all there at 6:30, it was jam-packed as usual. We got our table at 7:00, so not a long wait time. We got our hot bread and cinnamon butter as soon as we sat down. Our server greeted us right away and took our drink orders. He was very polite and professional. After we got our drinks, he took our food orders and appetizers. I ordered the rattle snake bites and the ausom blossom onion. They were nicely fried crunchy and tasty. Our server refilled our drinks many times without hesitation and took our orders. Everyone ordered steak and salad. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, and the sides were just as good. It's always busy and loud in there. But that's what makes it fun, plus we got to watch the football game. We weren't rushed or pressured to eat and git. It was my wife's birthday, so she got the usual Road House Birthday cheer. Of course, she was embarrassed. And she got her birthday chocolate cake. Our server kept a close eye on us and was always asking if we needed anything without being intrusive . When we got our check, it was $195.00 ,not including the tip. We gave him a 28% tip. So if you want some good food and steak and sides, and a rowdy Road House atmosphere. First time we complained, 2nd time we dealt with it and the 3rd time I was just too annoyed. Too busy talking with our friends visiting from Europe to complain. My wife and I have been regulars for years and I am not sure we will ever go back. We ordered 1 burger to share and it took over 45 minutes and the meal was still not coming out. When we sat down, there was not a wait for seats. Multiple other customers showed up after us and had already finished their meals before we even got ours. We asked more than once about our food and we were told that it was coming. A customer next to us made a comment that he ordered a steak long after us and he was already done with his entire meal yet we didn't get ours yet. My wife and I couldnt' wait any longer so we asked to speak to the manager. When we asked to speak to a manager, one came out and kept cutting us off while talking and was pretty rude. We told him that we were running out of time for the baby sitter so we no longer wanted the burger. He asked if we wanted it to go, and said "If you don't want it, I'll eat it." When he asked us about us taking it to go, my wife said no and I said yes right at the same time. This upset him and he started to walk away. I told him that we wanted to close out for our 2 drinks and go but he ignored us. As he was walking away, he asked again if we wanted to burger and I said no, he could eat it. He responded "I own a restaurant, I don't need your burger" and walked away. Other staff informed us that we were just speaking with the owner, not the manager. My wife and I, as well as multiple customers around us, were absolutely shocked that the owner treated customers that way. My wife and I have been going to this location for years. We were actually featured on multiple Texas Roadhouse social media accounts when our wedding was canceled due to COVID in 2020. They shared our story and said that we were some of their regulars at the Aurora, Colorado location. We have come to know many of the servers and loved going here a few times a month. Seeing how the owner treats customers, I do not think I want to return. read more

My fiancé and I were expecting a nice evening and it was completely ruined by this restaurant's inability to cook a steak. I know right? Because this place is a "steakhouse". My fiancé ordered the porterhouse steak (medium rare) and was immediately suggested the ribeye by the server. He said no, he wanted the porterhouse and so we proceeded to wait for our food. When the steak came out, one side was blue (barely cooked) and the other side was well done. How does that even happen?! We complained to the waitress and she again recommended the ribeye. My fiancé said no and ask for the manager. When the manager came over, she first blamed the placement of the steak on the grill and then second, blamed it on the prep process. Third, she said this is they're "problem steak" and would recommend any other steak on the menu. Ummmm ok? So he orders an 8oz filet (medium rare). Should be simple enough. Not! The steak comes out BLUE, again! That's it. My fiancé isn't hungry anymore and we are absolutely leaving. Do not feel bad complaining about how your steak is cooked here! Clearly, they like to come up with excuses as to why your food is not up to par with normal cooking standards. Solid place for reliable and consistently good food and drinks. I have been coming to this restaurant for a long time and have always enjoyed this well run establishment. If there's one thing I can complain about, it would be that they always over cook the steaks. No matter what kind of steak we order, it always comes out overcooked and we have to send it back to be replaced with a properly cooked steak. Ribs were super dry like beef jerky and not even edible. Steak was pretty much raw inside and I ordered medium well. Dressing was missing from salad too. I was so looking forward to a nice dinner and was sadly disappointed when I got home to eat it with my family. The rolls and cinnamon butter were the only good thing. I think overall in general food and service has declined. I have yet to find a nice meal for take out these days. Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants going on more than 10 years now this location is always so clean. It just smells great and inviting and the vibes are always excellent. The music is always good. They always have my favorite sports playing and the service is totally worth waiting for 20 minutes at a time. I have even waited 45 minutes to an hour because it's worth it to me and my family. Plus, you can make reservations ahead of time and wait in your car. The food is always cooked. Perfectly exactly how you order it and it always comes out fresh and it's so fast and the servers always bring out my appetizers just in time to finish and give me another round of bread and butter. Most of what the starters tasted was over salted and just something I settled with. I did enjoy the Kenny's Cooler drink, which came in a oval shaped glass, served with a lemon and a cherry; super cooling drink. I learned it was mixed with brands: Blue Chair Bay, (I'm assuming the base color of the drink) coconut rum and something fancy called, "DeKuyper." I tasted the bit of peachy "Schnapps," brand mixed with Minute Maid lemonade! It was indeed a signature sweet and sour taste. My friend's enjoyed the Killer Ribs, which makes me happy. We started sharing the grilled shrimp, then I had the fried chicken and ribs combo with vegetables and sweet potato. My husband had a great steak, cooked perfectly with fries and vegetables. The menu has an extensive amount of additional things to add to your meal. You can top the meat with gravy and sauces, sweet potato with butter or sour cream or loaded, fries with green chilli or loads of other combinations. It's pretty full on. And although it was all delicious, it was a very salty meal. We got 2 baskets of rolls to go (no charge!!) and a slice of cheesecake. It was nice but wasn't my favourite. This steak place was delicious! The Sirloin was juicy and well-seasoned. I recommend ordering the Sirloin at medium-rare to bring out more flavors of garlic, onions, and herbs. The grilled shrimp had bold combo flavors of butter, garlic, and lemon. The baked potatoes were well-cooked with a fluffy interior and crispy outer skin. Yesterday we went to Texas Roadhouse to give them 1 more chance. It was a disaster. New York Strip was almost unedible. Tough stringy and way undercooked. Went to the Littleton Texas RH for a birthday dinner. Had my tiny granddaughter along with 4 adults. The young employee who seated us was angry about something, who knows what. She grabbed a booster seat from another table and THREW it across the table as we prepared to sit, narrowly missing a small boy at another table. She never said a word to us. I asked for the manager, and spoke to Dillon. He said he would talk to this employee. Our dinner was ruined. How dare this young lady acare our granddaughter and endanger all of us! Our server was Brendan. He got a 20% tip because that's who we are. The employee who threw the booster chair spent the entire meal pointing fingers at us while talking dirt to her coworkers. I called Dillon on our way home, because I didn't want to create a scene in front of my grandchild. Dillon said the employee was being sent home because she was on strike 3! Personally, her snotty attitude should have gotten her fired and she should seek employment in a NON service oriented job!
