We normally go to Texas Roadhouse in bloomingdale. The sirloin steaks are like filets at that location. We were close to the the Naperville roadhouse and ordered from there. 2 x 8 oz sirloins that I actually weighed on my WW scale. One 5.9 oz and one 6.1 oz. Maybe they Lost weight because they were dry and hard to cut. I don't know how full the green bean container usually is but it was 1/2 fill and at least tasty. The rolls were smashed. We got 2 butters. The one Lighter in color was almost tasteless and the other was darker color and tasted normal. We were very disappointed with this location. So you call to say you're coming in with 11 people for your sons birthday and they put your party in two booths where you're facing back to back and the group can't even have a conversation at dinner with the birthday kid. Came here craving a steak and they delivered! New York steak was juicy and tender. You can even pick out your own cut or meat for them to cook if you want. I ordered it cooked "medium." Usually restaurants tend to over cook steak but not here! It was warm and pink in the middle, just the way I like it. After years of great experiences, I must say this last time was an overall disaster. from having a wait time of 30-40 minutes turn into an hour plus, and rolls that were undercooked. service was very very poor as our order took another hour to get. not to mention the order was wrong after not even being placed in the kitchen by the server. Food wasn't received that was originally ordered, and a terrible experience. not to mention the Manager Jake is about as useless as a snowblower in the summer. After a table of dissatisfied customers has been waiting for food for over 2 hours, it is not professional to lead into a conversation with "how was dinner". He was also going to charge us for this missing item and never even mentioned any form of compensation for our disastrous time. Texas roadhouse has always been my favorite, out of all the locations i've tried, this was the worst. We went in for late lunch at 3:00pm, the place was empty, as soon as we walked in the lady by the entrance just stared at us for few minutes so we asked her if we were just gonna sit ourselves, and that's the only time she asked "for how many?" After we said "two", she spoke to the lady by the counter who gave her the paper thing for our table which i saw rolled her eyes at us. Also, when the first lady took us to our table she was just quiet and left. however, while we were waiting for our food, we saw her welcoming other guests very friendly. The steak cuts arent as nice as the other branches ive tried. I always do medium well and choose meat with a little fat so it's still juicy. Had a bad experience at Texas Road house my last three visits but yesterday 07/06/2024 was far the worst!! While eating with family my mother's sales had a cockroach .... And when I called for a manager hai response was that they clean the salid very well and that everything was ok. We'll long story short he never returned never address me at the of our visit. Ate there for the first time on Saturday 1/13. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food. The steak was cooked perfectly and the sweet potato was fantastic. The only thing I was disappointed in was the brownie. I loved the gooey center and the ice cream, but it was way too sweet! The sweetness overpowers the chocolate flavor. On Saturday, December 4, I took my Dad, Son, Daughter and her boyfriend out for dinner for my son's birthday. He chose Texas Roadhouse in Naperville. I wasn't very happy; I don't know where to begin. First of all, my daughter put us on the wait list. It told her that it would be 1 hour, 4 minutes. By the time we got to my Dad's place, we didn't have much time to go. We loaded up in the car and headed over. The 1 hour, 4 minutes came and went. Customers were streaming out of the restaurant. Still, no response to come on in. My daughter had to call and find out what is going on. Their response, "Are you in the parking lot?" My daughter then told her that "yes, we are and how much longer?" They said another 10 minutes; that they were waiting for a table of five to open up. Then in the next breath, "oh, you can come in." Secondly, our waiter, Michael, was very pushy and rude. He kept on pushing appetizers, saying, "If you want something to eat, you better get an appetizer. Look at all the tickets in the kitchen window." He never gave anyone a chance to look through the drink menu and food menu. He was there five times from when we were seated to see if we were ready to order. Thirdly, I had ordered the full slab of ribs and they came out burnt. I like my ribs with a little burn on it, but not like this. Everyone else said their meal was fine. Severely disappointed. We used their app to put our name on the list ahead of time which said we'd be seated in about 30 minutes but it was closer to an hour. My steak was ordered medium and came out practically well done, and my chicken was covered in so much BBQ sauce there was more sauce than meat. And as usual when you have issues with the food, the server didn't come back to check up on us until after everyone at the table had practically finished so I didn't really have time for them to fix it. After arrival were showed to two booths, which now gave us two parties of five instead of one party of ten. Sense they were busy we accepted this arrangement. When our food arrived, my salad was fine, my vegetables were very wilted from the heat lamp and sitting out for a long time. Horrible service. Out of every location this is the worst one. If you sit at the bar and have a server with long lashes called - Devine, I suggest you run, or switch to a table. Mind you, that besides us there was 2 other people at the bar. We got our app and sat there for 10 minutes to see if she would notice that we don't have silverware, she did not so we asked for it. So she moves over the silverware from the people that just left that was used already, then leaves and I'm sure hears us complaining so she brings over fresh silverware.THE BREAD NEVER ARRIVED AT ALL, we got up and got it from the kitchen ourselves at that point. After a day of excessive shopping at the nearby outlet in the fiery, summer sun, we needed some red meat to revive ourselves. There was none other than Texas Roadhouse in which we were able to gorge platters of food without doing regrettable damage to our wallets. Our quad started off with the combination platter of appetizer that consisted of potato skin, jalapeno cheese balls, and buffalo wings. I am usually a fan of combination platters because I am greedy and want to try a variety. The items were standard bar food. Majority of them were fried but that isn't going to stop me from digging in. For entrees, my partner in crime and I had the combination dinner of rib-eye steak, barbecue ribs, steak fries, and buttered corn. This Texas-size feast was well within $30. If you're a red-meat lover, I would highly recommend this selection. You are welcomed to take the challenge and complete this feast on your own. We opted with the safer route and split. The rib-eye was grilled to our preference of medium rare. It was particularly tender and and juicy, especially considering the low price tag. The Texan barbecue ribs were flavorful but the meat was slightly tough. Hold in by the bone and tear the meat off. The sides were standard, vegetarian complements so we didn't have to feel that bad about consuming all that red meat. Our other pair of dinner companions had the barbecue roasted half chicken, barbecue ribs, house salad, and steak fries. The portion was just as Texan as ours but everything else fell short. I would safely say, this isn't quite the right place to order chicken although I understand they did so for health reasons. My motto is always to eat first and worry later. When they came out over 25 minutes later, mine was still incorrect. Then I sent it back again and waited another 20 minutes and it wasn't even close to being medium rare. How does a steak place not know how to make steaks consistently well? It really ruined my night. While we did get two of our meals for free, that is the bare minimum of what they could've done. We have been to the Texas Roadhouse in Bloomingdale, IL several times. We have put up with the number of times their cooks made mistakes, but this is the last straw. Ordered Smothered Chicken with the mushrooms on the side and cheese sauce. Each time this dish was ordered, they did not put any cheese sauce or gravy on the chicken, making it very dry. Broccoli was old and black all over; had to ask for things multiple times and to top it off we get charged $.79 for substituting Parmesan cheese for Cheddar cheese. Normally I would agree but this is the principle of the matter and the manager actually treated me like I was stupid. Parmesan cheese is the same price as Cheddar; they offer it on another salad and we have an allergy to the other one. I've come across this quite a few times they charge you for something that was not extra. If you dine here make sure and review your check details as they may be overcharging you for something they shouldn't. We ordered the 20 ounce bone in rib for $24.00 and I was surprised by the quality of the steak. Mine had a lot of fat and part of it was tough. The bread was fresh and great and again the service we got seating at the bar was a 12 on a scale of 1 to 10. They just need a little better quality cut of meat. This is the first time I had been here since they moved locations. Our waitress was very sweet but didn't come back to check on us but maybe 3 times. I took my sister out for lunch. Where do I start... we asked for more rolls never got them, my sister's rib came out burnt. When she asked for a new rack of ribs the waitress came came back with a very portly cooked rack of ribs. My Fillet was to be medium-rare it was rare. Before we left my sister also ordered a sweet potato loaded to go, when it was brought to our table by one of the managers my sister proceeded to check her to go order and it was burnt the marshmallows look at they have been put on a campfire then placed on the baked potato. She then proceeded to ask to talk to a manager which took 10 minutes for the manager to come to us and by the time the manager came it wasn't the original manager that we were expecting. They did not charge us for the ribs or her to go order but I will say that I will not go back to this location. When the location was still on the corner of 59 and North Aurora Rd. I stopped in for the fundraiser for Naperville Humane Society and National Margarita Day. I was very satisfied with my experience. Friendly staff and I enjoyed the 10 oz ribeye, cooked to perfection. My friend who was with me actually was able to name off the sides by memory just looking at the menu once and her reasons was "Yes.. umm.. that sounds right..." seriously? We've always loved Texas Roadhouse, but haven't been to one in a couple of years. I had a hankering for a roll with cinnamon butter, and some delicious ribs, and so we had lunch here yesterday. After we were seated, the rolls were brought out, and when my schnoz caught a whiff of them, my mouth immediately began watering. Delicious as always. Even though we ordered the onion appetizer, we couldn't help but to eat 2 rolls each. The margaritas are pretty tasty. Not very strong. The fried onion app is not as flavorful as Outback's, but it hit the spot. We took half home for our son to finish off. Hubs got the half slab of ribs with chili and loved it. I got the ribs appetizer (which seems to be about 1/4 slab). It also comes with fries (I upgraded them to loaded fries - YUM). That's one big appetizer! It was all very good - just as I remembered. We left stuffed and satisfied and happy that we DON'T have to cross Texas Roadhouse off of our list of chains we never want to visit again. read more
