    Catfish filets and fries.
    Peter T.

I'd been to one other location of this chain, but this was my first visit to this outlet. We arrived, a party of four, at 3PM on a Sunday and were seated right away. I would estimate the restaurant was half full, but it took some time before a server got to our table. Our server's name was Fay, and throughout our stay, her service and follow up was excellent. We had the fried onion appetizer and it was on point, cooked to perfection and served with a dipping sauce. I wish there was a choice of sauces. Three of our party ordered steaks, with a variety of doneness requested, and all were satisfied with the outcomes. Side dishes included baked potatoes and green beans, also prepared correctly. Midway through our meal the manager passed by and asked if were were doing OK. We were. I ordered the four piece catfish (filets), with fries and a side salad as my side choices. Salad dressing comes in a small plastic ramakin, and is made of leaf lettuce, tomato, and croutons. Satisfactory. The fish coating was seasoned cornmeal, and it was also done perfectly. I have a big appetite, but I took half of it home. They do offer a smaller portion that the one I ordered. The accompanying sauce was not a traditional tartar, but rather a horseradish ranch. Not unappealing but not my thing. The restaurant had a lot of people working. I inquired of three employees how many people were there at the time, and received "I don't know," "no idea," and "an awful lot" for answers. The big negative. The restaurant is messy. Paper, napkins, and other customer and server debris in the aisles. With so many people working, I would think would could be in charge of sweeping. Sadly, bathrooms were in similar condition, toilet paper and towels scattered, both in the men's and women's facilities. Would I return? Probably. The food is good and fairly good value in today's challenging economy. And I'd certainly hope I could corral Fay as a server. I suggest you try too.

First time here!!! Hospitality is on point. We were greeted instantly by the ladies in the front. Super sweet with a nice, warm welcome :) We were shocked by how busy it was during a Saturday afternoon! That's a good sign to me, already. Our server, Devin, I would definitely recommend, especially, if it's your first time dining there. He was friendly, professional with a great personality. Not to mention knowledgeable about the menu and sports ;) Pleasantly surprised & we will be back! Keep it up!

Not really a fan of chain restaurants however, Texas Roadhouse kills it! The value here for what you get portion wise is amazing! No where else can you get a 16oz Prime Rib for $33!! Devine and Ariel at the bar are always so friendly and quick to greet you as soon as you sit down also! By the way- don't be surprised if 6 different people here offer you "fresh baked bread!"

Solid spot with good vibes and good service. People love coming here for the embarrassing birthday announcements, and the staff also does some other random dances to keep it lively. I didn't like the fried onion that much, but the rest of the food was solid. Bathrooms were clean, and there's a big waiting room with a TV.

    Love their Caesar salad dressing

Recommend using the call ahead feature in their app. Especially around dinner time! Gets very busy but once you order food comes out fairly quickly. Always fresh and hot too. Just don't over do it on the warm, buns and cinnamon butter before your dinner comes out like I always do :D (Also recommend their Dallas filet... they cook it the way you like!)

This visit was more typical of our visits. Good food. Good value. Good service. Note: we got there at 5pm on a Sunday and it was already super crowded. Call ahead and get on the list!

It was just as good as in the restaurant. We ordered for 4 people. The food was spot on. Tomahawk, 2 Vodka pastas, and the wagyu beef stroganoff. With two brussels sprouts sides, the cheese cake and banana pie. The deserts are to die for! I am amazed this carry-out was just as good as in the restaurant. Well packaged. Still fresh when we got home and as always here, tasty. Well done!

So I thought we were all set. Our reservation was for 6:00, and we arrived at 5:54. We were told to wait until six, which was perfectly fine. Six o'clock rolls around and we're told they're still cleaning the table. Okay, we wait. Then we wait. And wait. Thirty minutes later, we find out the people who had the table STILL hadn't even left. Baby...what exactly were we reserving three weeks ago, a future dream? They offered us a complimentary appetizer, which I appreciate in theory, but when you've got a party of eight waiting 40 minutes past their reservation time, I'm not really looking for the cheapest appetizer on the menu. I'm looking for the table I reserved. Eventually, we were seated, and thank GOD for our server Alexis B, because they completely turned the experience around. Funny, knowledgeable, incredibly kind, and genuinely one of the best servers I've ever had. If I could give them five stars separately, I would. They made us feel welcome and somehow kept the whole table laughing after that rocky start. The food had some hits and misses. The crab cake was a little too spicy for my taste, although the rest of the table enjoyed it. The mini sliders, however? DELICIOUS. That buttery, well seasoned bun was doing exactly what it needed to do. Then came my Entourage burger, and baby...THAT burger understood the assignment. It was absolutely packed with flavor. So good that I practically inhaled it. My server even asked if I wanted another one because apparently I ate it fast enough to qualify for a second round. Unfortunately, the management situation left a lot to be desired. After the issues getting our table, the managers seemed to keep watching our group throughout the night. If you're going to stare, baby, at least commit to the performance! It made an already awkward situation feel even more uncomfortable. Honestly, my server Alexis B, was the ONLY reason this experience ended on a positive note. They were so charming and personable that by the end, they felt more like a friend than a server. I'm genuinely going to miss them. The food was good, and that burger was fantastic, but a three-week reservation should not turn into a 40 minute wait with a party of eight standing around wondering when they're going to eat. So unfortunately, I'm leaving with two stars. The food gave me reasons to come back, but the reservation experience and management gave me reasons to stay home. And to my server: you were the star of the night. Protect this person at all costs.

After too many years as an unrepentant…read moreFoodie chasing the next big thing, and marrying a beautiful, wonderful Woman possessed of a timid palate; I realized I was happiest with a fine Filet Mignon (rare), a starch of some kind and a green something or another to round it out. Wife always has the same order, although her steak is always medium. We've tried so many places, including the posh ones, only to be disappointed time after time. (Al's Steakhouse in Joliet is the outlier--it's proudly old school and always excellent. Find my Yelp about it for more info). LongHorn is a Darden Chain restaurant. Anytime you have "chain" in the long description there's an automatic caveat that kicks in. The hazard is in the fact accountants may be in charge of the Kitchen. Such a situation is pure gourmet repellent. It appears, however, the Darden Bean Counters might have lost the files on Longhorn. At least for this one. 'Cos the Steaks and Sides here are ALWAYS delicious. How many times have we walked out of a Snooty Steakhouse with the words "Longhorn was better" on our lips, having just left the equivalent of a car payment behind. I'm experienced enough of a fresser to know the difference. It seems the fancy joints (more of them than not) have given up on the notion of actually SEASONING their steaks. I've gotten the stink-eye from more than one waiter when I've asked for a salt shaker when there was none on the table. One might say the Filet is the least flavored of all steaks but the tenderest. That's as may be. It's my cut of choice. To prove the point, I'll sometimes swing with the Sirloin or NY Strip. They're always beefy and tasty. The Filet is no fluke. And every once in once in a while, I'll fly with the Lamb Chops if they are in Season. Not quite up to Greek Islands (q.v.) but still damned good! (I ask them to keep the included mint jelly in the kitchen, I don't stand on ceremony.) At Longhorn, Steaks get a dab of what they call "love sauce" before service. They'll give you a ramekin of it for the asking. It's really nawt more than Lemon Butter, but that little kick seems to kick the savory goodness up a notch or 5. I almost NEVER have to hit my Steak with salt at the table, but it doesn't bother me if I have to. It's MY taste. The afore-mentioned Al's in Joliet hit theirs with a quite distinctive seasoning. Always tasty. The Potatoes are always great at Longhorn, as is the bright green Broccoli. In season, the CobCorn has a treatment which renders it close to Mexican street corn, which is always yum. I like a Caesar salad to start, and Longhorn's is a winner. Wife is a ranch aficionado and loves her regular dinner salad with that dressing. The service at this Longhorn has always been top notch, and the Managers are always there if there is a question. From time to time I want a lighter feed and I opt for the Salmon which is as good as the steaks. Since I was a youngster, I've had an occasional fondness for Chopped Steak. The version here is always fine, although I prefer the included Onion/Mushroom topping on the side. We used to go to Outback, but everything just started to taste tired. I thought I heard adding machines in the Kitchen, but I might have been mistaken. No such distraction at Longhorn. I've been to other Longhorns in other cities, and the quality hasn't veered. Someone in charge knows what they are doing and has not allowed anyone to mess with the recipe. Only one gripe. I wish they served a Skirt Steak. Every once in a while I get an urge for one. I'll bet they'd do a great job with it. You can skip the Ribs. Not awful, but there's better places for BBQ. I've never tried the Pork Chop. A big fat solid 5 stars for this great steak Resto that won't shock your wallet. Eat at the Ritzy places if it soothes your ego, but if you're down for a good feed, try Longhorn...

The food is always good here. I would recommend going here. The service is always good too.read more
