We've always loved Texas Roadhouse, but haven't been to one in a couple of years. I had a hankering for a roll with cinnamon butter, and some delicious ribs, and so we had lunch here yesterday. After we were seated, the rolls were brought out, and when my schnoz caught a whiff of them, my mouth immediately began watering. Delicious as always. Even though we ordered the onion appetizer, we couldn't help but to eat 2 rolls each. The margaritas are pretty tasty. Not very strong. The fried onion app is not as flavorful as Outback's, but it hit the spot. We took half home for our son to finish off. Hubs got the half slab of ribs with chili and loved it. I got the ribs appetizer (which seems to be about 1/4 slab). It also comes with fries (I upgraded them to loaded fries - YUM). That's one big appetizer! It was all very good - just as I remembered. We left stuffed and satisfied and happy that we DON'T have to cross Texas Roadhouse off of our list of chains we never want to visit again. read more

Devinne is the worst manager EVER! We eat at Texas Roadhouse restaurants all the time, this one is the worst! We waited 2 hours to get our food. When we finally got it, my daughters BBQ pulled pork came out as dry pork with no sauce, we had to wait 15 minutes to ask for BBQ sauce and my "medium filet" came as an obvious well done sirloin that looked like a scrawny piece of dog food. Asked 3 different people for the manager and 30 minutes later she came out. I showed her my steak next to my other daughters filet and first she said it was just "butterflied" then she kept insisting mine was a filet just over cooked. We all ordered the same steaks and only mine looked like that. I eat the same thing there all the time, I know what they look like! Until Devinne can figure out how to run a restaurant, I do not recommend this Texas Roadhouse. read more

Despite my bias against chain restaurants, Texas Roadhouse impressed me enough that I simply had to give it 5 stars. The experience started with a basket of perhaps the best dinner rolls around -- warm, fresh, coated in buttery goodness, and served with ample dollop of sinfully delectable whipped cinnamon butter. Our waitress brought another round without asking as soon as we inhaled the first. And just like that, we were off to a fantastic start. But the meat was the star. I had a 16 oz. prime rib medium-rare, and it was cooked with precision to 10-out-of-10 perfection. My tablemate had the combo of a 10 oz. ribeye with a half-slab of ribs. This hard-to-please individual used shockingly glowing adjectives about this meal. I could see the tender pork just falling off the bone. The sides were all excellent, particularly the robust, fluffy seasoned rice. I'd love to know the recipe. Also the steak fries were large, crispy and tasty.  The onion explosion known as the Cactus Blossom made for a nice crispy snack between the sweet rolls and main course. It's way too big for two people, though. Overall everything was between good and amazing, with no disappointments. I give an A+ to all the meat entrees.  I will be back for sure! read more

The food is pretty yummy. The bread and blossom are pretty yummy. Pickles is good too, just too salty. The reason why i am giving 4 is because our waitress didnt really give us a good service and our hostess slammed our plates cause she was rushing to read her text. At first I thought she accidentally dropped the plates on us but she was rushing so she can run away and get to her phone. My friend is a usual customer and she orders from this restaurant so she knows what we are missing and what we should be getting. Our appetizer came in first didn't get our bread so We had to ask for our bread and some of our to go food are missing side dish and bread. When i noticed that i am missing a drink she said, i got u with a look like i am asking for a free drink. I asked her, does it come with drinks or no? If not I don't want it. Then she said, i got u And said what do u want? I didn't like her response is like i am asking for a free drink. She could've at least say oh, yeah. I'm sorry about that. If i made that mistake i own it i don't act like that. I would still go to this restaurant just wish that server would be more friendly and give a good service. Even if she gave us that service we still gave her more 18% tip. I hope next time will be a better service and cut down the salt on pickles, other than that it's a nice place. read more

Have not eaten yet. Did call ahead 35-40 minutes. Almost an hour wait ... still not seated. Went to the bar to buy a coke , super thirsty. They said they could not sell me one. Omg. It's 9o out and they won't sell you a coke while you wait. read more

Went here on a Sunday night with son and hubby. We did call ahead seating, which was really good, because there was about a 40 minute wait. Even with call ahead seating, we waited about 15 minutes or so. Not so thrilled, because we were all hungry. And service was horrible the rest of the night as well. When the host seated us, she immediately asked if we wanted rolls with their so yummy cinnamon butter and of course we said yes. She grabbed it on the way to seating us, which was really nice. Service started off pretty well with our waitress coming to take our drink order right away, which is when we placed our food order too, since we had already been waiting. Drinks took a bit of time to come and food took even longer. I felt like for every 3 times a wait staff came to any table around us, our waitress came once. Hubby and son both ordered the Dallas Filet and the steaks were cooked well, with a decent cut and flavorful but a bit overly peppery. The sides of beans, sweet potato, green beans and salad were all good, with yummy flavors and all fresh and hot. (which was interesting since everything took so long) At least our food wasn't cold. I ordered the grilled shrimp dinner and it was out of this world fantastic. The shrimp were a lemon pepper but not overly pepper or lemon flavored. They seemed like they had a grill seasoning on them too. The rice was so bursting with flavors that it was crazy. The sweet potato was loaded with marshmallows and I used some of the roll butter too. I opted not to do the caramel flavoring, but the marshmallows were enough of a pop of sugar. The food was really good, the atmosphere was fun and not so loud that you couldn't talk. I hate to do this, but this place just isn't worth it. Oh the prices are to be expected, and I have no problem with it. But the line at 4 in the afternoon, the parking lot you can't move in, the noise and chaos in the restaurant, the amount of people they stuffed into a booth (8 of us), and the general lack of care. A couple steaks were overdone but you just don't want to wait for a recook. Any number of steak places have comparable food with a better experience. read more

Hmmm.... 5-star ratings. Why? I've eaten here twice. Once by choice 10 yrs ago. Once by force just recently. First experience. I ordered a salad and got more than I bargained for. A HUGE dead fly in my salad. I complained to my server and asked for another. He told me the manager would come see me. Manager waltzed around the room, occasionally eyeing me. He was clearly sending me a message. He eventually made his way to me. His attitude still makes me laugh heartily to this day. He comped it, but with a very obvious belief that *I* put that fly in my salad to get it for free. No apology whatsoever for serving me food with a bug so big it looked like it could be put on a leash. Is it hilarious or just completely insulting?!! Either way, he was an idiot. I swore I would NEVER step foot in this building again. If only I could be that lucky..... Just recently I promised to take someone out to dinner for their bday. They chose Texas Roadhouse. Heaven. help. me. I cannot grasp why people love this place. The vegetables were soggy and swimming in oil. -It was "Elementary school cafeteria meets Junior High locker room" . Sooooo nasty. Why in heavens name did I order salmon from here? Because it looked like the healthiest thing on the menu. Plus, even 10 yrs later, I don't want a salad from here. Salmon: D R Y. Not. Good. People have admitted to me that they loathe salmon. I never understood how that could be possible. Suddenly, I understood. If *this* (or salmon comparable to it) was the only kind I'd had... I would assuredly loathe it too. Rolls. It's only fair to admit that I am an excellent baker. I teach bread classes. I make it all. But specific to dinner rolls, I have been told many, many times that mine are the "best rolls" someone has ever eaten. Said by serious foodies and food snobs. They really are the best. --it's not bragging if it's true, right? ;) I took one bite of their rolls and didn't finish. If I'm going to eat carbs like that, it sure as heck should be worth it. Saturday night visit with my aunt at the nearby hospital and my husband is starting to get crabby, so I know it's nearing dinner time. I realize that we're in Naperville a there is, in fact, a Texas Roadhouse somewhere in Naperville and I haven't been to one in about 5 years so I know this is where I want to go. As we're leaving the hospital, I call for call ahead seating, which I HIGHLY recommend. It got us on the list. Took about 10 minutes to get there after my phone call to them and we only had to wait about 10 minutes once we actually arrived, total SCORE! Nice waiting area, minus the floor covered in peanut shells, but that's part of the charm. There is a barrel, yes, a barrel of peanuts smack dab in the middle of the waiting area. You can snack while you wait. My husband of course, loved this! It was like being at a Cubs game: break the shell, take the nuts, release the shell. My one suggestion is give those hostesses a tray of waters to offer to people. There is a large group of hostesses standing around. Literally doing nothing but waiting for a table to seat. This may be a better use of their time and make the whole experience a little nicer for the guests. Just a thought. Our pager lights up and vibrates, our hostess grabs a basket of something from the kitchen on her way to seat us and off we go! This place is totally family and large group friendly. No question that people come here for the atmosphere and the food. It's fun and interactive and makes for a great spot to bring the kids. Their noise just blends in with the other 150 people in the whole place chatting away. A lot of birthdays...they bring around a saddle and make you straddle it while they announce to the whole place that it's so-and-so's birthday, and we all do a big "YA---HOO" for the birthday guy or gal. It can be a little distracting but in all honesty, it's that kind of place: fun and loud and gets people in a good mood. Even the older couple at the table next to us, clapped for them and did a yahoo or two. See? Its that kind of place. Our server, Jena, loved her!! She's new to the area and worked at TR in another state previously. She knows the restaurant, knows the menu, and that girl was on top of refills like white on rice. Well done, Jena! We'll be requesting you on our next visit. Such a sweet gal. So, about that basket the hostess grabbed earlier...I had almost forgotten! They have these warm rolls they serve with...wait for it....this creamy cinnamon butter that just glides onto the bread as if it they were meant for each other. Not gonna lie, it's really hard to just have one. You really need to have at least 2. The best things in life come in pairs...so two of these rolls just makes sense. We skipped the apps because in all honesty, you get two sides with each entree and with the bread, that's simplytoo much food. For us, at least. I really wanted a steak but the pulled pork and chicken combo grabbed my attention, so I opted for that and I ate a steak vicariously through by husband who ordered a bone-in ribeye per my suggestion. So I actually got to taste the steak I would have ordered if I hadn't got the combo so it worked out. I got the chili as one of my sides and it had a lot of meat. Surprisingly so. They also will give you onions and cheese if you'd like. I just got the cheese. It was quite yummy! The chicken was a butterflied breast and the pulled pork was tender and had a nice flavor. The steak was excellent!! A nice thick cut steak and sooooo flavorful. I barely ate my dinner after the rolls and the chili so I have plenty of leftovers in the fridge and they WILL be eaten! We will be back. I really enjoy all Naperville has to offer, so this will be a regular stop for us when we're in the area. Festive and celebratory, the Texas Roadhouse is a fun place. With its active envy, it's a good place to go to socialize. That being said, the quality of the food has gone down over the years. I ordered a half slab of ribs, baked potato and a Caesar Salad. The salad only had 3 croutons (oh my), the potato dry and the ribs over cooked. Just not enjoyable. I'm finding that the chain restaurants are going down in quality. I'll be looking for that one that rises above the rest... read more

Restaurant review Cinnamon butter on dinner roll! You can't go wrong with eating at Texas Roadhouse. There is a reason why you have to wait 1 hour to be seated at this restaurant. While you are waiting, you get to eat unlimited peanuts which you can shell and throw on the floor. The meat they use for the steaks are excellent grade full of flavor and the season is just right. At least from my experience the steaks are cooked to perfection. They come with 2 sides (i prefer my chili and mashed potatos). If you don't want steak, they have one of the best salmon dishes that is cheaper than Red lobster. To complement the meal, you get unlimited warm fresh dinner rolls with a healthy slab of cinnamon butter. I downed a whole basket by myself during my last trip. I've been here a handful of times and with each visit, the food has gotten worse and worse. We used to eat here every New Years Day, but NYD 2014, they had issues opening their doors in a timely manner, so we went elsewhere. But our last visit, this past December, was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back, and we swore to be done with this place. I've gotten the Dallas filet and the Filet Medallions, and both were alright. Nothing to write home about. The steak kabobs used to be my favorite, but the second time I had them, most of the meat was chewy and just plain disgusting. For appetizers, the Blossom is alright and I love the Rattlesnake Bites. The Fried Pickles are just okay. Of course, those rolls with the cinnamon butter are good, but that's obvious and don't count as an appetizer, anyway. On our last visit, I decided to try something new, so I chose the Smothered Chicken (no mushrooms, with the jack cheese topping). The dish was a joke. The cheese was terribly bland, the chicken tasted under-cooked, and the onions were so heavily covered in the tasteless cheese that their flavor was hardly detectable. For my sides, I chose double rice like usual,but this time it too was bland, sticky, and pretty much rendered inedible. My husband went with his usual Dallas filet and side of chili. After placing our order, we noticed that there wasn't any silverware at our table. Rather than wait for our waitress to return so we could request some, I just swiped a set from an empty booth a few seats away. Our Rattlesnake Bites arrived in acceptable time but his chili took forever to be brought out, and when it did arrive, our entrees arrived two minutes after. Our waitress was very apologetic about the timing of the food being brought out, but an apology won't buy ten extra minutes to enjoy the appetizers and then wait for the main course. Service has always been decent luckily, but that alone won't entice us to return. We boxed up our leftovers, which went into the trash the next morning for the dumpster squirrels to enjoy. read more

So I haven't been to Texas Road house in about 3 years. Tonight was the first night I've been back since and not because of the first times service. It's traditionally just my vegetarianism. Anyway we first got there and was seated promptly our waitress I don't know if her name was Madilyn but she was a total sweetheart. Now where we were seated we could see into the kitchen and there's nothing wrong with that it also seemed that if you were seated at a booth you could take your mask off which we happily did thinking it was safe. So my first problem was the fact that as soon as we got our water I literally killed a fly that was buzzing around the table. Now I guess I can understand the fly thing it's the middle of summer and there's a kitchen there but it's also kind of gross considering the virus we're going through. But the next big problem was now don't get me wrong I'm not racist in anyway but an African American male with exotic looking hair that stuck up from the top of his head an another employee not sure if he was a waiter or a bus boy not wearing a mask walked near our table and made a weird taunting noise with his mouth like quite close to me and my girlfriend it was like a ( psh psh) noise it seemed like he did it on purpose to try and scare us maybe. I have no clue it made absolutely no sense and was completely unnecessary and also gross considering he wasn't wearing a mask. Finally the worst problem we had was either a cook or staff member from the kitchen a slightly bigger around the waist guy he wore a baseball cap and had facial hair (beard/mustache) and hair that went a little below his hat so a little higher than collar length. Kept eyeing me and right before our meal was finished he walked over closer to our table literally took the mask off his mouth and coughed towards us! Which is all around disgusting and unacceptable with a pandemic going on! i don't know who that man was but he definitely ruined our experience at TRH. Which blows cause the small stuff they do have for vegetarians is genuinely delicious. Other than that there were quite a few back of the house or kitchen area that would not change their gloves and place their hands in there pockets. Usually I'm not the type of guy to care about stuff like that. But with it being 2020 and the pandemic it's only natural to worry and at TexasRoad House it was more than less essential to worry about getting Covid 19. It really changed my outlook on the company I called and complained about the man coughing and was told that I was right and that's completely unacceptable and that I'd get an emailed coupon or a call from the manager to work something out. Which I honestly think I deserve my whole meal compensated or a gift card with the whole dirty situation that we had to experienced there. It's now the next day and I have yet to receive a call or an email from said manager. What really kind of irked me was the fact that they saw me pull my phone out and hit the yelp app as soon as our meal was done we were given two boxes of they're rolls as we were leaving as if they knew they had did something wrong! Honestly my whole prospective on that restaurant has changed and am contemplating ever going back. It sucks when it hurts to write a review about a nice place. But with the lack of people's safety in this time and respect I think it was necessary to let others know! read more

I'm completely dissatisfied with the costumer service I received at this location. Decided to try a burger from there. After an extremely long wait time, a over seasoned DRY one arrives. I had my dinner companion taste it to see if they agreed and they did. We then proceeded to talk to our waiter about the issue. He reassured us that new burger would be out shortly. After more then a 35min wait. I've had enough. Asked to speak to a manager who tells me that the burgers are not seasoned. No apologies for the wait or inconvenience of either burger I didn't eat. The NEW location has HORRIBLE customer service and the place is already DIRTY!! Went there Friday 4/15/22. Waited 15/20 minutes for a table. That was no big deal. They sat us at a table in the back which was a main pass through for the staff. Our booth backside was up against the staff station /computer login to check orders, tables and staff. They sat us down and placed plates on the table. They never brought us water nor bread. We sat their 35 minutes waiting to be served. Keep in mind we are in plain sight and the staff is checking on the tables all around us. We finally stopped a server and asked if someone was going to assist us. With attitude she said she was going to get someone. We sat another 5 to 6 minutes with no follow up. We finally got up and left. I asked for a manager. A very young gal came out to hear our complaint. Clearly she had no management skills. She just stood there looking like she did not know how to respond. I asked well doesnt this concern you. She finally apologized and said they accidentally closed our table and she can get someone to help us now. Total time waiting was about 1 hour. She could even off a free appetizer for the bad service. I told her I was going to write a bad review and she said ok. Like she didn't care it wasnt her restaurant. Horrible service and very poor management!! The restaurant has only been open a couple of weeks. Looks like now one has cleaned the floors since they opened. Peanut bags and dirty napkins all over the floor, goo and silverware. Yuk!!! The old location in Naperville on North Aurora was beyond gross and I had given up on the place but my husband wanted to give them another try since the new location was opening. BAD DECISION! We order drinks and they came in very old glasses and in any glass. Not the glass that was advertised with the drink. My husband order 3 of the same beer and got 3 different size glasses. Same of me, I ordered 2 Long Island Ice Teas and they came in 2 different size glasses. Trying not to get up set, I just said forget it. The last straw was our food came out with dirty silverware and the place was beyond nasty!!! The saddle the the Birthday person sits on looks like it had not been clean in months. For the price, pretty decent little steak. I usually do the 6 oz sirloin, had bad experiences with the more expensive grades of meats there. Usually get that six ounce sirloin smothered with mushrooms, onions and cheese on it with the chicken critters as a combo. Can't forget the steak fries with honey mustard and you basically can't go wrong. Those rolls too. Bueno. Love the newer bigger location too on Route 59. read more

The service was horrible and managers are ignorant and oblivious. We were quoted 25-35 min wait time and were waiting over 50. They let people stand by the bread rolls with their hair brushing against the bread and didnt seem to care. read more

Hubby and I ate here last night since we were in town and close by. We both ordered the Prime Rib, it was fantastic, and the fresh Sweet/Dinner Rolls that they serve with Cinnamon Butter are melt in your mouth delicious. We had a middle aged man as our waiter but you could tell that he has been there for quite some time. He was super knowledgeable about everything there, he was very good at up selling and he was quick, courteous and on the ball. The young woman who seated us had a big beautiful smile and was pleasant and courteous. The Restaurant was clean and had a very good ambiance, the music was country and very fitting to the atmosphere. We would absolutely eat here again and we would recommend this facility to others. read more

Our family loves coming to Texas Roadhouse. It's always been such a great atmosphere. We went last night and it was packed. No issue there, our server was very sweet and kind. We did have a few issues. We ordered an alcoholic beverage when we first sat down and it did not arrive for around 20 minutes. We then ordered a cup of chili and that did not come until we were done eating our meals. With that being said the rolls were delicious and we always got those in a timely manner. Now for the sad part. Two people out of the 4 of us got very very sick last night. The one thing they had in common was the cactus blossom and sauce. We are assuming that was what caused it and were wondering if anyone else had this issue. This place is always great however, out of fear we will probably never order the onion ever again. We are never disappointed in Texas Roadhouse. Consistently good food! Great salads, baked potatoes, sweet potatoes, grilled chicken. Perfectly cooked, tender steaks! Check-in staff really botched it with waitlist issues, but it was Saturday night and I didn't want to make it take longer (for us and other customers) by requesting a manager. Glad I ordered the "kicker" for my one drink since it didn't arrive til our dinner was already on the table. No rolls until after dinner arrived either, and only because I pointed it out. Got my sides wrong, but again, decided not to cause a fuss. My steak was a sad, skinny thing for a ribeye. My daughter's ribs were WONDERFUL fall-off the bone. Won't be coming back. I don't eat steak much but I absolutely LOVE their steak here! if you come here, go with the steak, trust me!!! Tender, meaty, juicy, and so GOOD! You can choose your fillet and choose your size of fillet. Hubby got the 8 oz and I got the 6 oz petit filet mignon. Also, their bread here is DELICIOUS!!! it's a sweat roll and buttery bread that comes hot table side and honestly, it's the BEST bread i've ever had probably. (beware, it's probably so bad for you. . . haha) The waiter's here are very nice and totally will help you out with the menu if you have any questions. The only reason I didn't give this restaurant a 5 is because although, I love the food here, if you come here, do NOT expect to eat a healthy meal. . . haha. . . you gotta be in the mood for it. =) *They do have salads here as well . . . but who orders a SALAD at a steakhouse?!?! come on. . . you gotta go for the real thing. read more

Food still good. Details still a problem. There was no bacon for salad. The rest was what I ordered except the steak appeared small, maybe by half. I ordered an 11oz sirloin well done. This one weighed 4.8oz well done. Sirloin is quite lean so a 66% shrinkage seems highly unlikely. Last Week: The food and service are quite good. They do need to work on the details. When in restaurant, correcting errors is easy enough. Take out, I recommend taking inventory before leaving. Today's errors, no cheese or bacon for the baked potato as ordered, steak medium, not well done (usually correct), plenty of butter but no rolls. Missed rolls last time. Ordered two dressings for salad, got one (a frquent error). Usually order a gallon of unsweeted tea. A couple weeks ago one half gallon was sweet. The sugar in a pint of sweet tea about what I use in a half gallon. Some like it that way, many don't. On the whole, I recommend the place. They could take a little time to be sure what is ordered is what they deliver. read more

Food is always good at this location and they get our to go orders right however, it's GETTING our orders. Last Friday was probably our 4th of 5th time to order to go and we ordered the pick up for around 5pm. It was tremendously busy there. Trying to find a parking space to wait for the order was impossible. 5pm came and went....Finally called around 5:20 and was told my online order (which was placed around 3:30pm) had not gone through and they were just now in the process of making it. The order was pretty much right and the food was good but this is like the 3rd time it has happened. Apparently this location must be terribly understaffed. read more

The food is always delicious, but on my most recent visit I had Lucy as my waitress. Best service I ever had! I came in during an obvious rush, however Lucy provided top tier service and made my dinner much more enjoyable. She is very funny and attentive. I love Texas Roadhouse. I am from Calif only living here for a few years. I swore I would not go to restaurants that are in Calif but Roadhouse is an exception. Just like at home the food is great and so is the service. My husband always has steak and he says they always cook and season it just the way he likes. We love the bread and cinnamon butter that you get when you are first seated. Don't know why this only has 3 and 1/2 stars but I always will give it a 5 and will keep coming back while we are here. read more

Food is the standard Texas Roadhouse menu, hence I will spare you the pictures and prices that their site already has. What sets this site apart is the staff. This establishment is manned by young adults and yet there is an atmosphere of professionalism and happiness. Everyone seems genuinely welcoming. The air is light and they joke around each other, laugh with customers and most of them broke out in a choreographed dance number when "Footloose" came on. Our drinks were constantly refilled and even though the place was packed at 3pm on a Friday, our order was delivered promptly. This only means management is wonderful! Extremely disappointed with the food and service. We were so excited to visit the new place. It started with ABSOLUTELY nonsmiling hostesses. No smile, no greeting. The server did not check how we were doing how it suppose to be. We ordered steaks, one of the plates with steak came with black hair on it. NOBODY EVEN APOLOGIZED. They took it out of the bill, though. The baked potato, loaded potato and chili came so cold, cheese just sat there not melting. The gravy on country fried steak was cold as well. While we were waiting for bill, we saw a few fruit flies are flying around. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. read more
