Another terrible experience. It's been a few years since we have been to Texas Roadhouse and I again convinced my husband to go. The place was busy, it's always busy. We were told it would be a twenty minute wait. Our wait ended up being less than twenty. After being seated we ordered drinks, a cactus blossom & my sons entree. Our appetizer came out quickly and it tasted fine but was very greasy. I put a couple drink napkins under it to soak up the grease. I had ordered the half rack of ribs and the came to the table burnt. Even the waitress said those are pretty dark. She offered to bring me a new rack. The second rack came out almost as burnt. I tried to eat them and they tasted like charcoal. My husband ordered the 6 ounce fillet cooked medium. And his came out blue rare. So he only ate around the edges. It was a $21 steak dinner. I did ask to talk to a manager. He really didn't care about any of it. You could tell he was overwhelmed and spread to thin. He did take $7 off of our bill so it made my salad and green beans $9. I think the veggie plate that comes with four sides was $11. This is the last chance we are giving Texas Roadhouse. read more

My family just ate in the bar area, we all ordered steaks, I had to send my steak back twice, my family finished their meals and I still didn't have my food. It was 15 minutes after our table was clear before my steak finally came out and it was just ok so I asked for it to go. The server was amazing! She asked if I wanted to speak to the manager, he came to the table and informed us he would not remove the steak if I was taking it to go. I feel like he automatically assumed we didn't want to pay, if I order I have to money to pay PERIOD. He was so nasty to us that I asked for the general manager who did not come to our table. WOW!! What an absolute cluster ( you know what ) during the seating process. I got on line and joined the wait list. We sat in our car for most of our wait time, till we got a text from my Husbands Mom saying she was waiting on us inside. We went in and seconds latter got a text our table was ready. So we walked toward the host desk. There were 3 to four people behind the desk and only one young lady engaging guest. So we stood there while people in front of us checked in. The area is not big. While those people checked in people were trying to leave. Us plus a second group behind us had their text sent that their table was ready. I heard the guy behind the counter say " Should I be seating people?" They had the names and tables printed and taped to the end of the host stand. The one guy grabbed the ticket with the group name behind us so they had to squeeze thru. One of the young ladies took our name off the end and just stood there with it one her finger saying and doing nothing. I could feel my husband getting perturbed. I am a little more easy going but when I can tell he is getting upset it put me into a politely get it fixed mode. Before he says something. So I was about to squeeze past everyone to align myself with her line of sight. Just as I was doing this she finally stepped from behind the host stand and took us to our table. Went for dinner on 3/1/2025. Asked Hostess at computer if we could be seated in Bar Area. Sure, she said, if we found a place open, be seated. After I had cleaned and stacked up dirty dishes from previous diners, first, 1 male waiter came and told us we couldn't sit there and to leave, then a second male waiter came and told us the exact same words yet added "he didn't want to start anything" (?). Really, I'm 64, my hubby is 71. We're not trash. We were both horribly embarrassed, leaving immediately, of course. We went to another restaurant in Speedway, In. Served immediately without me having to "bus dishes or wipe the table off", atmosphere was quiet, service was impeccable, and we weren't asked to leave! Our meals were $72, not including Bar Tab or tip. Roadhouse's loss! The second male denied telling us to leave when I spoke with him over the phone the next day! What a Liar indeed! We went on Valentines around 4:30 pm to try and beat the rush but it was already getting pretty busy! We joined the waitlist online and only had to wait about 10 minutes once we were checked in. We had India as our waitress (we were assigned someone else but they were taking awhile to get to our table) It was getting pretty busy fast and India was kind enough to notice we didn't get our drink order yet or bread and she took great care of us! Good food. Fast service. Clean restaurant. Enjoy the porterhouse and the apple sauce. The apple sauce is to die for.

So first off, the rolls are just AMAZING they taste reallly reallly reallly AMAZING. Next, the service is great but the last time I went there I had like 7 different people serving me and my dad. They are so nice there they bring rolls when we run out and refill drinks. Then there is a tablet thing where you can play many games on there. There is a basketball game, golf games, a ships game where you find the hidden ships, a quiz game, a game where you raise pets, and a gambling game (not for real money) and those are all I remeber for games. The blue Fanta lemonade there is so so deliousos. The steak bites are just perfect that they are better than my dad's steak somehow. The bread comes with butter which is good. The mashed potatoes are great. There isn't that much of a wait to get in there. It's a great place for birthdays because you get on a saddle and they yell " attention Texas Roadhouse *name* is turning *age* today and can I get a yee-haw." The intearior and extearior are very great and fit the vibe of the Texas theme. There's tvs so you can watch sports, news and more. There's booths and tables. There is a lot of space there. I go to this Texas Roadhouse 4-5 times a month. I went on 06/16/24 for Father's Day. Ordered a 8oz. Filet medium rare and a baked potato. The steak was well done. I sent it back. The replacement that was brought out had no pink and was dry and hard. The baked potato had little to no butter and sour cream. It was dry and nasty. If i could give them zero stars, i would. It is a random Wed evening. We have been waiting an hour and a half. I asked if they could at least bring the kid's chicken fingers. They brought the chicken fingers about 10 min later and everything was cold. I told the server it was fine because the kids will eat cold food, but the adult orders better come out hot. Finally after about an other 10 minutes our food finally come out and LITERALLY everything was cold. My baked potato was cold, the ribs were cold, the shrimp was cold, even the chili was cold!! They brought another order of chicken fingers and even that came out cold. So at this point everyone is hangry and i asked to speak to a manager. The manager finally comes out and says the best she can do is discount the meal 50%. I said I'm not paying for cold food. So she (the manager) proceeds to take the food from the table. She finally apologized, comped the bill (minus the alcohol) and brought a voucher. But honestly. That's the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. I shouldn't have to argue to comp the meal when literally everything came out cold after waiting sooo long. And to not let us box the food when all they can do is throw it away is just petty. Unbelievable!!!!! My friend said her vegetables were still frozen. Everyone pointed fingers at everyone else. The waitress said the kitchen was backed up. The manager said the food was sitting out, but none of it makes any sense. Even if the food was sitting under a heat lamp the butter on the potato would have melted, but it wasn't. In fact the whole time we sat there dealing with it, it hadn't melted because the food was cold. Seriously?!? I will never come back to this location. And it's a shame because I love TRH. read more

I go here alot UNFORTUNATELY because I love Texas Roadhouse. This location iv never really liked but then again almost all Texas Roadhouse locations in Indianapolis are just as bad. They take too long to get the food out. The waiters never redil your basket of bread. The waiters have no enthusiasm anymore they all look like they're experiencing burnout. They are quick to check the table for tips as we get up to leave which I find rude. You ask for your steak to be cooked a certain way they bring it out the opposite way. The floors look caked in grime and bathroom are horrid. I recommend getting a good cleaning company with steamers to come in and clean this place. Also recommend the bathrooms be cleaned at least every hour shouldn't take no longer than 5 minutes as the bathrooms are rather small. Retrain the waiters on how to represent the company and treat customers with the upmost respect as it really helps their tips. As well as actually write down everything we say so it doesn't slip their mind. The male busboys stare way too much and it creeps my wife out every time. I'd like to also mention. One time I was with my wife and one year old daughter waiting in my truck for our turn to be called into dinner. Well one of the cooks/busboys came out and started to look into the windows of my truck (it was night and my windows are tinted dark) he didn't see that I was sitting there and I had to draw my firearm and open my door and tell him back off and he ran inside got more of his friends they apologized and went to other cars looking into the window. Then they opened one car popped the trunk and ONE OF THEIR EMPLOYEES WAS IN THERE!! He was stumbling around as he got out of the trunk hopped in the driver seat and they brought out a pack of beers gave it to him and he tried driving off but was clearly intoxicated enough to where one of them had him switch seats and they drove off together!!! Ordering at this location is a nightmare. It is never ready on time even at non busy times. The only way to order is online and no one will answer if you do try to call. For the last year, just at this location, they do not give you the option to order rolls, which is what they are known for after steak. All other locations let you order rolls online. I have complained about this and they say they will look into it but never do. If there was another location close, I would never order from this one. read more

Not sure what to complain about first. I checked in online at 4:15, said hour wait. Got there was told they will text when my table is ready. After about 30 minutes I went to check on my time and they said it be a little longer finally after another hour approximately 645 to 7 o'clock I was finally next in line. I made the reservation so early but instead put in the name ahead meant nothing. Not to mention why we were standing there waiting for a waitress to come for us to be seated the manager Austin came over very rude, yelling at people to get out of the way, all while telling them he was the manager and to do what he said and not get smart with him! not a very good way to talk to the people that are paying your bills in my opinion he needs to be taken down a notch if not spoken to my upper management-as we sat down the waitress though was very very nice we did place our order for food and our drinks unfortunately the food came out cold my dad he ordered the ribs they were cold on the inside all of our steaks were less than room temperature my fries also: very disappointed in the meal it was my birthday dinner and my parents were paying so I didn't really wanna complain but my dad he did send his back and even the second set of ribs was cold he did decide to take it all home so he could heat it up in the oven. overall a very disappointing birthday meal not sure why this place is always so busy maybe people standards are a little lower than mine but I can promise you I won't be back there Longhorn across the street is much much better or better yet spend a little more money and go someplace even nicer but I highly recommend you skip this place!!! read more

I tried this Texas Roadhouse location after finishing an appointment in the area. I bought a gift card on line with a promo Texas Roadhouse is running (Buy a $30 gift card - get a $5 bonus gift card). I didn't realize I couldn't use the gift cards with an online purchase. So, I went inside & placed my order. They were extremely busy (3:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon) and there were quite a few people waiting to be seated; the parking lot was crowded as well. They had several To Go spots so I easily found a spot. I placed my order; and I was able to use the gift cards. I was told it would be about 30 minutes as they were quite busy. I ended up getting my order in 20 minutes. I have been to the Carmel location many times both dining in and take out. I feel the food tasted equally good and was extremely happy with my take out order. I will gladly be revisiting this location when I'm in the area. read more

This is one of my favorite places to eat. Their menu is of choosey nature. It's kid friendly and catered well to steak lovers. I for one am in favor of their char broiled chicken meals. And that char grilled lemon for flavor, um um good. Their house salad is always crispy and delicious. Their portions are great and I'm just down right pleased to beat regular customer of the roadhouse. I even worked there in the early 2000's as the bread Queen . I always order just enough to finish my meal and not be stuffed or worry with left overs. Hats Off to Texas Roadhouse. Save your time and money, go somewhere else. This location wasn't so bad a few years ago, but it's terrible now. I don't plan on ever returning after my last visit. This place is a total slob. My fiancé and I both ordered water and our cups were disgusting. With our water being clear I could obviously see everything in and ON the cup. GROSS! When I picked up my glass I could feel stuff on the side, it literally felt like it hadn't been washed since before another person used it. So I tried not to make it a big deal and we just asked for clean cups. This is where it gets funny....they brought us styrofoam cups!!!! Are you kidding me? That means they either can't take 2 minutes out of their day and actually wash two glasses OR all of their cups were disgusting! When we realized our cups were dirty I checked my silverware as well, which was also dirty. Shocker. Today, we waited in pick up area for 30 minutes with no one addressing us. Someone had to call the restaurant to get someone to come help! Steaks over cooked. Items missing. Salad warm and incomplete. Items not well packaged and spilling. Think we're going to take a break. We both ordered side salads but they didn't arrive for 20 minutes. Our entrees arrived 20 minutes later. Steak not cooked to wife's instructions but we decided it would take longer to send it back. So I came here to eat with some friends it was super busy. The wait was average about 40 min for 7 people. The food was hot fresh kept up with the table we had our drinks in minutes. Our apps were out in less then 10 min. Our meals in less then 30 for a large party thats amazing. Everything was spot on our waitress (Courtney) certainly made us feel welcome. Not one drink was ever left empty or bread basket left empty. We were greated by a host named Diesel he was funny and charming fellow knowing we waited a awhile it was overall a great experiance. No orders were wrong every order as requested shows our service was great and our waitress and the chefs in back paid attention to every detail and request. I would deffinantly reccomend this location i saw lower reviews posted but this place was on par with any other steak joint and we will be back. read more

Would give no stars if possible. Been to this establishment twice. First time was last Summer and it was 100 degrees inside. Second was last week and there was an open staple in my chicken fried steak gravy. Luckily I was eating with my glasses on and saw it. Went on a Friday night. We knew it would be busy and were given a 40-50 minute wait. We ended up waiting approximately an hour. I'm shocked they don't have an online check in option. We were on a timeframe but we knew we could do the wait. We ended up getting a seat in "Q" aka Quentin's section and he exceeded our expectations. When he came to the table we knew what we wanted. We told him we were in a bit of a hurry so he took our order and I'm pretty sure it was back in 10 minutes. He was fast on refills, rolls, questions, check...everything. Horrible customer service. Put in reservation at 6pm. Waited an hour for a table for 3, double checked about 20 minutes in and was told that they would have a table at 7 for us. No issues. Went up at 7pm and was told it would be another 40 minutes after they searched for my reservation. Asked why it was that much additional time when we had double checked halfway in. Michael, who said he was the manager, told me it was because people wanted to sit and talk instead of leaving like they should. He was very rude about it and asked if I 'had a problem' with it. Obviously I wasn't going to give into his attitude and ruin our night further so we left. We will never return to this location. On the bright side, we went across the street to Olive Garden and had a wonderful meal with even better service. This place gets more and more run down and trashy every year. Bartender more worried about entering tips, doing closing duties, socializing then the fact we are sitting with empty drinks and trying to choke down our dry and overcooked filets. We keep giving this place a chance and it's always something. My steak that was ordered medium came out well well done the last 3 times we been here. Sitting at the bar the swell of raw sewage is so bad. The place needs a big scrub down. Everything feels dirty. Fruit flies everywhere. Service is not great anymore either. Pretty much done with what use to be our go to restaurant. Will go to Long Horn or Charbonno's and spend a little more for way better food and service. read more
