To begin, yes: this is a chain restaurant. However, I have yet to have a bad experience or bad food, no matter what location I am at! This review is for the Bensalem location. I have a friend who loves steak as much as I do and we hop about trying different steak houses or restaurants. TX Roadhouse is always a solid option for a great tasting cost effective meal. The blooming onion is always great, along with the roles and honey butter. Depending on the steak you order, there's normally an option of you picking the exact steak that you want. My choice of steak never wavers when here. I prefer the porterhouse steak and a vegetable of some sort. I love eating the filet mignon and saving the sirloin for the next day's lunch or dinner. I just transform it into a quesadilla or fajitas or even the steak for a salad. Two meals for the price of one As for the desserts, I never have room, but they always look great. The servers are always bustling about and friendly. Haven't been here in a few years , and it's not the same to me, imo . Langhorne has gotten better . So I will not be visiting again . Lots of choice on the menu , service was fast and courteous , pretty crowded for a Monday , server was ok , but the meal I usually get just wasn't the same , the gravy was like au jus very runny and the broccoli was white almost like cauliflower , smh ., no peanuts due to Covid I assume . I don't even know where to begin, my fiancé and I were getting dinner and as we were putting in our order the family next to us threw up over their entire table, the seat, and the floor. The staff at Texas roadhouse were emotionally unprepared for this, and had great difficulty cleaning it up, including audibly and loudly gagging to the point I thought someone on their staff was going to throw up. Four other severs came to try and clean it up, but either gagged, cried, or were yelling ew and exclaiming their disgust. This was embarrassing and extremely uncomfortable to sit through, until finally one bus boy and one server cleaned up the entire thing alone. The managers were useless and no one came to check on us or the entire area. Instead, there was a waitress serving tables behind us, telling them what occurred if they hadn't noticed and made it into a joke saying "you all got a show tonight". Again, if a manager had come by they probably would have heard this woman/waitress because she said this over and over to every other table in the section, making the dining experience even worse. I get this is a disgusting situation, and the staff definitely doesn't get paid enough for this, but as a customer, the fact we weren't offered a discount or to be moved to a new area was a joke. I wish the health inspector was there tonight, because even though it was cleaned up quickly, it definitely wasn't sterilized. It was a shame because we never go there and was looking forward to the meal, but it was ruined not because a family threw up, but because of the emotional incompetence of the staff and their rude, insensitive reaction/remarks. Shout out to the staff that cleaned it up without a word, or reaction you are good people who understand things happen and you did your best. Tonight my family and I were out and found ourselves hungry so we landed at Texas Roadhouse. This location is always a hit or miss. I was out voted by my family so here we landed. I ordered my same dish, 8oz. Salmon, garden salad, loaded mashed. My food and my daughters food was room temperature to cold. I asked for our food to be heated. Normally I will not send my food back for concern that my food may me sabotaged. Our food was heated and is now hot. It was good but not the best. The service was slow and basic. Came in on a weeknight with some friends. We were in the mood for some decent steaks and the signature soft Honey Butter buns from Texas Roadhouse. Upon arriving the wait was 15 minutes, which is pretty decent for a weekday. We got the text notification that our table was ready about 10 minutes after we had arrived. We were seated at a spacious table; it was just a bit crammed since there was a larger party next to us. Our server was extremely welcoming and friendly. She was open to giving suggestions and familiarizing us with the menu. We all went for various cuts of steak. For a weeknight with a small customer crowd, I felt that our food took quite a while to arrive. I'd say we waited over 35 minutes. Once our food came out, every steak was way over cooked. I had ordered my steak rare, and I'd say it came out as a solid medium. My friends had I both ordered Medium, and both steaks were dry and way past well done. I also felt that they were very skimpy with my Steak Fry portion. We all felt bad to return our food to the server, as it wasn't her fault that the steak was over cooked. I'd just say it was pretty upsetting considering steak is one of the specialties of this restaurant chain. Overall, this experience was quite disappointing. While I have been to other locations within the past few months, it's been a while since I've visited the Bensalem location. 3.5. We went here around 3pm on a Wednesday, after a prolonged meeting in Center City Philly left us hungry but not wanting to brave rush hour traffic by eating lunch downtown at that hour. We were greeted by a short line outside the restaurant and quickly realized that they open at 3 (weekdays) ) Once the doors were opened, we were seated quickly, and had fresh- tasting peanuts on the table to snack on while checking out the menu. The interior is all wood beams and seats, with shiny tabletops, Texas shaped signs and hanging lights (maybe for the holiday season). We went with one of the specials which is served from 3-6 during the week and until 3 on the weekend. I mean $9.99 for steak entreés? Not a bad deal at all.. We had to do it. I got a medium well 6oz sirloin with "fresh vegetables" and Caesar's salad and my dining mate got the same, but with well done steak , and corn instead of salad. The steaks were dry--I'll probably try a medium rare cook next time. The salad and corn were good and the "fresh vegetables" was just broccoli, which needed some salt and a little more cook time. The complimentary bread though, was addictive! Warm, Soft, pillowy rolls with a hint of sweetness. They were served with a butter that tasted of cinnamon. I could've dined on those alone. This TR is pretty decent. I went on a weeknight so the wait was under 5 minutes. I love how they give you warm bread with cinnamon butter as soon as you get to your table, Yay! My waitress was friendly and attentive during my entire visit which was nice. It took the food around 20 or so minutes to arrive, but someone in my party ordered a rib eye so I'm sure that was the hold up. The food was delicious and hot and we devoured it. I had the grilled salmon w/ loaded mashed potatoes and string beans! Heads up- the string beans have pork in them but they are oh so delicious! The loaded mashed potatoes come with a dollop of sour cream, cheese and bacon- DELISH! "If it's ya birthday, make some noise" because they will come around with a bull for you to sit on! No, it's not a mechanical bull, but it's fun and perfect for a few funny birthday photos! The restaurant was clean aside from the minimal amount of peanut shells lying around. *If you have a peanut allergy, stay away from this place!!* The bathroom was spotless which is always a plus in my book. This restaurant is apart of a very busy complex, but there's tons of parking all around. One of my favorite chain restaurants to get a yummy steak! Oh this occasion my mom was treating me for just graduating from Graduate school and she wanted to celebrate my achievement. We ended up going around 6pm- big mistake that was it was crammed and packed with people waiting to sit down! There was a commotion waiting by the stand where the employees were waiting to check people in and the waiting area benches were filled with people. To me that's a great sign when it's packed with people- this place was wall to wall with people so I knew I was on for a long wait before I ate the steak I wanted to eat. To my shock my niece found the bench open up and my party of 4 including my 7 year old daughter sat down and waited. What a relief because my daughter would've gotten antsy waiting by the door. While we waited my daughter drained me of the dollar bills playing a crane game where she actually won 2 stuffed animals and was so stoked. Watching her spend all my dollars and actually winning made the loss- worth it seeing her smile. But then she saw some little boy win three dolls and she got greedy asking for more money as we sat and waited about 45 minutes on a Thursday night to eat dinner. Our little timer buzzed and lit up and then we were to stand near the check in a little longer even though they called us up. This kinda made me irritated- like why would you buzz us if you weren't ready for us yet? And to make things worse we were standing and waiting in an area that was in the pathway of people leaving so it was a cluster F***. By the time we were seated I was aggravated and very hungry! My stomach was starting to growl by this point- luckily the server came down as soon as we sat down and I already knew what I was going to get cause during the long wait I decided. We put in our orders including the drinks and the server was off grabbing it for us. I wish I got the servers name but he was on point and very nice. The bread and sweet butter they bring out is the best! So Yummy! we were tearing that up until our entrees came out. My daughters food came out first so I was happy cause she was starting to act up since the wait ended up being so long. She was tired cause we don't normally go out during the week on school nights- and she was tired from getting up early to go to school. Finally our entrees came and we all were chomping and mashing our teeth and you could only hear chewing because everyone were so into their entrees. I had a steak with mashed potatoes and it was cooked and seasoned to perfection. I had the Fort Worth steak which was a pretty nice size portion, my mom ordered the filet and my niece got a chicken meal, my daughter had a cheeseburger meal because she loves cheeseburgers. It took us longer waiting to be seated then eating but once we sat down we all enjoyed our meals. I wish this restaurant could work on their wait times and maybe get more organized with the staff and patrons waiting to be seated. They definitely shouldn't call them up or buzz them until they are ready to be actually seated and not in a cluster of people. read more

Wow this place gets packed! Honestly we almost gave up and left because the wait was so long even with call ahead seating. I'm so glad that we waited because my ribeye was all that I had been craving. I got the 10oz. My date had the bone in 20oz. Both of us got ours cooked well done and both were still tender, juicy and delicious! I got the side salad and a sweet potato for my sides. The salad was ice cold and I love that. The potato was cooked perfectly and had just started to caramelize a bit. Drinks were refilled promptly and service was fairly quick considering how many people were being served. Prices are fair and affordable compared to many other steak places. I love that they play country music and the song choices were all my favorites! The biggest issue with this location is how crowded they let the waiting area get. People are packed in like a club. You literally have to push your way through. I am recovering from a procedure on my back and it was impossible for me to get out after dinner with having to bump into people. This was actually painful but unavoidable. I have to believe that this many people blocking the exit also might be an actual fire hazard. Also, people were so packed in that they were hovering over some people while they ate. I could never enjoy my meal sitting like that and was very happy that we were seated no where near the entrance. I will definitely not be returning on a Saturday night anytime soon. read more

First time here in years. They don't do reservations at all but they do something called a waitlist where you can sit in your car and be waitlisted your be seated. It was extremely busy for a Thursday night but we were seated within the 15 minutes we were waitlisted for. Our booth was in a back corner which is an inconvenient spot for both patrons and waiters/waitresses. I'm not big on restaurants like this but the kids like it. We asked for more bread but never got it. 3 of us got steak, one got ribs. We also had the blooming onion called something these which was my favorite thing there. Everything is average. Steaks were cooked as ordered which is an accomplishment for some places. The manager and safety captain also came to check on us which was nice. Food was cooked as requested. Some food I was a fan of some I was not. Wings, steak, chicken breast, ribs were great. Texas Roadhouse is *USUALLY* my go-to for steakhouses, however; when trying to accommodate ~15 people for a birthday dinner, I called for a reservation. I told them it was for 7:00pm. The woman on the phone told me that they don't do reservations but to call about an hour before the party showed up and they should be able to seat us. I called, and was told "due to our high volume, we stopped taking parties bigger than 8 at 3:00pm, sorry about that" leaving me to SCRAMBLE to find another spot to eat! I am furious. Dinner last night (Mon) to say goodbye to a couple who were moving to another state. Busy and noisy as heck. Poorly trained hosts, indifferent. Booths most uncomfortable. Food almost 'thrown' at us by an inexperienced waitress. Pork chops I suspect were straight out of the freezer and onto the grill, then slapped onto a plate. Dry, tough and tasteless. This was a very bad experience, I live around here and my family loves here. I ordered the beverage as usual, but today the young bartender only gave me 70% of the amount. I reacted the situation to my service, who took the drink back to the bar for adjustment, but the bartender just filled the rest of my cup with ice. And tell my server that this was the normal amount. I feel like I am not respected. Every time we eat almost near the end of the food, there is always a manager to come over to ask how to eat, but today the female manager asked except for all the tables near our table, only ignoring our table. I am also in the service industry, I still generously leave a 20% tip for my waiters. But I don't think I and my families will be back again, because this is not the Texas Roadhouse we had of the community read more

This is a regular stop for us. The steaks tend to be really good some nights and then just okay on others. Tonite was a just okay night. My sirloin steak was just ok, not as good like other times that we've been there. The service is always very good. Texas Roadhouse is always busy unless you get there right when they open. This is seriously one of my all-time favorite restaurants--particularly THIS Texas Roadhouse! They have never once brought me a steak that I didn't love. It's always cooked exactly how I like it, seasoned well, and super juicy and flavorful! I've never ever had a problem with their steaks! Can't rate TR without talking about their iconic buns and cinnamon butter! Honestly, what's not to love? They're free, always hot, and sooo soo good!! Also love that they give us free peanuts as well! One of my favorite apps to get is the cactus blossom. 110X better than outback's bloomin' onion! I honestly, don't even care that it's dripping with oil, because the oil it's in is SO DAMN GOOD! The only food I would avoid from here would be the grilled shrimp! EVERY time I get it, it's packed with salt and overcooked. It's unfortunate, but definitely doesn't take away from their awesome steaks! Also, this place is super fun for the kids! Celebrated my Pops 60th birthday here and no he would not get up on the saddle to our dismay. Fairly crowded on a rainy Thursday night night but our party of four was seated immediately. Our server, Asia, was phenomenal. Attentive, caring, accommodating and polite. We ordered a round of drinks and then placed our orders. Overall, the food was good. The steaks were cooked just the way we ordered and it all came out within 20 minutes of ordering which was pleasantly surprising. Have I had better? Yes, of course I have but I've also had much worse from their chain in NJ. The general manager came to our table to ask us about our meal and service which was very kind and professional. Service was decent, food less so. Bread is fairly good. I've had much better at similar places. Appetizer of boneless buffalo "wings" are really "bites" at best. Flavorful tho. Caesar salad dressing not good compared to other "fast food" joints. Main course was Steak Kabobs, if that's what you would call it. I'm not sure about you, but whenever I hear the word "kabob", i picture nice pieces of steak and vegetables on a skewer. Not Roadhouse style tho. No skewer and steak was more like broken up small pieces of strip steak i think. No where near the piece of steak you see in almost any photo of a kabob. Dry and looked like pieces of steak dog treats no that I'm thinking about it. Would not return to one of these establishments, unless forced by family. read more
