Best Texas Roadhouse since the one in Ashland, KY. Hazel (our Server) was a delight as well as all the help she had behind the scenes. The appetizers were delish (ribs and onion petals). My kabobs were perfectly prepared and delicious and my beer was cold and yummy. My Wife's prime rib was perfect and made her happy. The kids ate their food as well as 437 rolls and 10 pounds of peanuts. The over all experience renewed my faith in the restaurant chain after less than perfect visits to at least 3 other cities. GARBAGE. I was meeting my family here to celebrate my son's birthday. I arrived at the restaurant ahead of the rest of my family and told Ariyana there were 5 of us. Since they hadn't arrived yet, she told me I couldn't have a table. I told her I would like to get a table and a beer while I wait for them to arrive; however, she told me that wasn't possible. I stood there for 15 min waiting for absolutely nothing as I watched Ariyana and her co-workers talk about it as if it was entertaining to them. There were plenty of tables available. I spoke with Kate, the manager, who was of no help and pointed out a sign to me...great management skills there. We have been to this place many times and have always enjoyed it, but this was a complete garbage way to treat a customer. I have always, and will always, treat restaurant workers with the utmost respect and will continue to tip above and beyond as I always do but I will not be giving this place my business again. read more

I will say that for a chain, this place ROCKS! While we weren't excited about a 35 minute wait, there was plenty of outdoor seating and a waitress brought fried onion samplers and took bar orders. We tried to eat here last night as a party of 7. We were told they could only accommodate 6 per CDC guidelines. Although the CDC site lists 6 feet social distancing, they do not give a maximum number. They wouldn't even try to accommodate 2 tables near each other. We ended up eating at another restaurant down the street that says their maximum is 10 people per table, as is the number for other restaurants we contacted in Manatee County. On another note, one of our members forgot a mask. We were told it was okay because it's just a "suggestion". So, let me get this straight... Manatee County requires masks, but you say it's a suggestion, yet you claim only 6 people per table per CDC, yet that number isn't listed anywhere on their site? read more

In these trying times I was pleasantly surprised how Texas Road House has adapted to the situation. We picked up our food at the time selected. The staff was pleasant despite the situation they were in. We scheduled early at 3:30 and everything was done and ready. The food was good and packaged properly. People are going to have to realize that they are going to have to adapt and be flexible as well as the businesses. Went here New Year's Eve 2014. I called ahead for a time I wanted to eat. there were 5 of us. We did wait about 10 min, but being New Year's Eve we expected it. We went around 5 PM...It was crowded. It always is here. Our dinner was on a WED.. ( we knew that the 6 oz steak could be up graded to an 8 oz for only $1.00 more.) We ordered it. the Rolls were on the table, We like having rolls with our salad, and real butter with our baked sweet potato.. Our steaks were done just like we ordered them. The salad was served first. which is how we like it. We ate the "to die for rolls" and had to order more..(no extra charge) Yes there is a noise level to high but OK if you have hearing aids, you can turn them off. Who wants to talk while your eating your steak...As busy as they were, they did their little dance. Great service for New Year's eve. We did have to wait on our staks to be served, but we realized they were cooking our steaks to our order...rare, med rare, med well. Our server was great, She came back often to see if we needed anything. We had no complaints... The reason I didn't give it 5 stars, is because we like to sit at a table, and they don't have many of them. Used the call-ahead seating option, and had a five-minute wait. Johnny, who I dealt with on the phone, was friendly and accommodating for our party of ten. The service was excellent (thanks, Michele!!!) and the food was great. Michele explained to us that extra steps had been implemented to sanitize menus, condiments, salt and pepper shakers, chairs and tables. It was a great experience from start to finish (including my friend's birthday surprise). A little loud, but it's because everyone was having a good time. I ordered the 8oz with shrimp. My steak came out raw and with no shrimp. They took it back and then it was well done when I wanted it medium. All I wanted was a baked potato with butter and sour cream and they brought me the loaded baked potato. The manager said it was because they had a large party that came in. That's no excuse. The place was packed! We got seated in about 20 minutes, there was abundant staff and everyone was friendly. My husband ordered the ribs and I ordered the rib eye steak. The ribs were awesome, the ribeye however was over cooked and a little too tough. When our waitress stopped by I let her know I wasn't thrilled. I feel like she handled my concern very well and quickly took the steak and brought me the ribs instead. Catherine "Cat" was a great waitress and we appreciated the attention she gave us. Bad excuse for restaurant. We were headed to a different restaurant today, the waiting line was out side. So we turned the corner and saw Texas Roadhouse .... No line , parking lot less than 1/4 full, in we go. No waiting, set down and had fresh rolls ( best part of meal ). Server took order, food out 45 minutes latter, pulled pork was dry, beef kabobs at room temp, and my burger was dried out. After waiting so long we ate what we could and learned a good lesson. No lines, lots of parking at busy time ... Keep driving. :( read more

During Covid19, May, 2020, we went to the Texas Road House on Sr 70, Lakewood Ranch, Fl. We were told to park and call in to get instruction. I called and listened to the recording then spoke with a girl to get my name taken for a seat inside. The girl took my name, but it was raining and when I asked if she wanted my phone number, she would only say that I kept 'breaking up' and couldn't understand. The process was a mess, both of us yelling, with too much wasted time and she finally said the two of us should just come in and she would find us a table. (She ignored the entire procedure we were supposed to follow). A waitress met us inside and told the girl sitting at a table wiping menus, my last name and party of two. The girl ignored us and the original waitress had to come back and took us to a booth. It was extremely crowded, and even though some tables were not being used, the booths that were back to back were all filled and we they were not following the 6 ft. distancing rule. People waiting in the entrance area were all too close and as we were escorted to a booth, we were within 2 feet of everyone we passed already seated. The blooming cactus was good, the salad was excellent but the cheese/bacon fries were loaded with table salt under the cheese and bacon. I had the Dallas fillet, which wasn't the medium rare I requested, it came to me well done and completely dried out and tough. My companion's sirloin was medium rare but was dry and lacked any flavor at all, she said if she closed her eyes she would have no idea what type of meat it was. My baked potato was cold when delivered. It was dirty, but after the dried out meat the worst was music played so loud we couldn't have a conversation. It actually hurt our ears it was so obnoxiously loud. We both were so close to getting up and leaving due to the loud music. I've been in many other Texas' Road House Rest. like the one in Ocala is fantastic. But this one on sr 70 was absolutely horrible and we will never return. A good salad and a decent Cactus Blossom is not worth the $70.+ dollars for the dried out tasteless steaks. Also my companion wanted prime rib, but was told they didn't have any and this was dinnertime on a Saturday night. Really poor management and poor quality of food from the kitchen, and complete lack of distancing within the restaurant. read more

I would first like to say some of the staff are amazing, but it's the few rotten apples that ruin it for everyone. After two bad experiences in a row, I am never going back to them. So our waitress a "young generation" girl. I ordered my food and asked for a side which I made sure to her to please bring this side many times, this is the way I like to eat my food mainly the steak. They bring out my food(not her) not only is the steak 70% fat but the food is cold, and there was slime stuff all over my drink handle, which I had to go to the bar and replace (they just poured the old one into a new glass in front of me which I think was gross) I did not get the side so I asked the person who brought it. 10 mins went by without her checking in on us in fact she never checked in on us after the order. She comes and asks finally "can I do anything", but I am so upset for the cold food and bad service I had my head down and just said no while shaking my head. She walks away and makes a REMARK about it "don't need to be so rude, of course it's the type of person that says stuff while walking away and not to peoples face". I'm unhappy and wasn't rude at all just upset with my head down. I call the manager over ASAP and told her why I was upset and what just went on, but also said it's not the servers fault and she's alright but didn't know about the other guy not coming back( even after her remark I didn't want to get her in trouble because that's her job I would be messing with), 20 mins go by, the waitress not only never came back to the table but she told the head manager "I CURSED HER OUT" and lied to her. My night and meal was ruined after a hard day. Kelly, the head manager just said sorry and merry Christmas, just wish she would have done more as I felt horrible and ripped off. I go to eat here 15 days a month, and spend at least $1,000+ a month.... that's a loss of $12,000 a year. I didn't eat the meal that much, and got no compensation for the horrible experience or me feeling sad. As I was leaving I seen others complained about the waitress, and I can finally said I'm done with this place. It's really sad because it's over service, not the food as much. The food here it's a "hit or miss" you get amazing food or bad-ok food. Corn some days is amazing or horrible. Steak is all fat or amazing. Not sure why, and I didn't care because I liked the staff, but I hope management thanks that waitress for losing a regular customer, for not knowing how to handle a situation the right way, not being nice and lying about my character. read more

This is usually a good restaurant I mean the food was wonderful as usual, but I guess I didn't understand a few things. First off the only thing missing was the croutons from the salad and I didn't know there was an up charge for the sweet potato. The waitress wasn't very good. She never asked us if we wanted any more to drink or come by at all during the time it took us to eat. My other confusion was there was an email with a code I had received and our "prize" was a free appetizer coupon. Now I would normally not complain however this coupon is dated from back in May. You would think that even thou they are supposed to be good for a year. I5 knocks two months out right at the start. I don't think any of the other "prizes" were available. It would have been nice to win the grill but I would have also settled for merchandise as well not an appetizer that we aren't going to be able to use because none of the appetizers are appealing to us. So next time why not try to offer something a little better then maybe I will up my rating as of right now we won't be coming back for quite some time. read more

Came here after a great experience in ohio at one of their places there. Steaks were cooked perfectly. Service was great. Would be 5 stars but steak fries came out soggy and muddy brown in color. Said something to waitress and she took them back and brought out perfect steak fries. This place is a lot better than longhorn. We will be going back next time we are in the area. read more

The Steak is a better quality than Outback for sure, but was a little undercooked in the middleand only warm when she brought it out to the table. The blooming onion appetizer is not good at all, doesn't even hold a candle to Outbacks. My friend and I went here last night and the food, the atmosphere, and our waitress was great! I ordered the smothered chicken with a house salad with Honey mustard and a sweet potato with honey cinnamon butter. It was all fantastic! The dinner rolls were excellent also! Visited here a couple times and every time been an extremely, extremely long wait. Better be easily amused sitting around for a table. Service was good, steaks were really good but not what we'd consider great. We don't assume big crowds mean great food. Nice to have free peanuts, like that available. If you don't like loud and busy, you won't like this, but it is your basic meat and potatoes place... which I don't mind at all. This is one of our favorite places! The atmosphere is great and we have never had bad service or food. Its great for our loud children! They always have fun with the music and line dancing the servers do. We LOVE the friend pickles. They are perfectly crispy and delicious! My favorite is the prime rib and my husband is very fond of the country fried steak. The ceaser salad dressing is to die for and the bread is always fresh!!! By far the best steak place around! Started with fried pickles with horseradish dipping sauce and they were fantastic. No grease, very crispy, nice dill flavor. We both ordered the 8oz Dallas Filet. I had double green beans for my sides and my husband had the loaded baked potato and green beans. Just the way we like them - bacon, onions and salty! Our steaks were cooked to perfection and just love the Texas Roadhouse steak sauce. We tried Codys Roadhouse a few weeks ago and OMG, no comparison! Definitely gets busy around 6 so go before then or use call ahead. Our server was KC and she was exceptional. Heads up for peanut allergies, they have peanuts on all the tables. I love that you can order online for convenience! I hate that when you are given a promise time 25 minutes outs of the order and you still need to wait an additional 14 minutes. First time here. We almost left because there was so many people eating we thought we would never get in. We took a chance and got right in since it was just the two of us. Service was excellent and very speedy. They had a mothers day special and I ordered the prime rib and my husband rib eye medium well. I did have to send mine back because it was very rare! The rolls were awesome, nice and warm. We weren't crazy about our Cesar salads. For some reason they had no taste at all. Very bland salad dressing. I ordered green beans and they were very tasty. My husband got broccoli and carrots that was under cooked so he didn't eat them. So in the long run we were very happy with the speedy service and atmosphere and enjoyed or steaks. read more
