Texas Roadhouse is the kind of place that does not try to be anything other than what it is, and that straightforwardness is a big part of the appeal. I found the country style atmosphere loud and lively, especially on a busier night when families packed in and the energy in the dining room was hard to miss. It is not a quiet dinner kind of place, but going in knowing that, it fit the experience well. I started with the Blooming Onion, which is a solid opener and holds up as one of the better versions of that dish I have found. It came out hot and the dipping sauce pulled it together well enough that it disappeared faster than expected. The salad was fresh and well portioned as a lighter contrast before the heavier parts of the meal came out. The shrimp and steak were the main event. The steak came out cooked correctly and the meat quality was noticeable, with a tenderness that made it clear the kitchen is paying attention to how things are being prepared. It is the kind of dish that justifies coming back. The shrimp held its own alongside it and rounded out the meal without feeling like an afterthought. Service was warm and attentive throughout. The staff here genuinely seem to enjoy what they are doing, and that came through in how the table was managed from start to finish. One thing worth knowing before going is that wait times can get significant, particularly on weekends, so calling ahead or using the app for seating reservations is strongly recommended. The bread & butter!! Those warm soft rolls with the honey cinnamon butter is all this place has going for it. My husband and I were with friends when they picked this place for dinner. We agreed to not be difficult but we typically don't eat at chain restaurants, and this experience reminded us why!! In addition to the rolls, we also started with fried pickles which were just...fried pickles. Nothing special about them. There were also peanuts at the table but we didn't have any. For my entree, I ordered the 16oz sirloin steak (med-rare). For my two sides, I picked mashed potatoes and a salad. My steak was more medium than med-rare and lacking flavor. The "mashed" potatoes had unmashed chunks in them and the salad was made with subpar ingredients. I'm giving two stars for the bread & butter, but can't say I'd recommend anything else here. TR is a pretty solid joint. If you are hangry it satisfies pretty good too. It's a phun join to hang in and it is quite festivus as well. Great effort and expensive is put into the over-the-top western theme with much taxidermy and ranch/rodeo/cow/horse gear but it also boasts a wicked-huge plethora of bric-a-brac kitsch tchotchkes. Let's get to the grub: You can't fake stake. But you can eliminate prime cuts and various other high-end steaks as this is what TR does. This is phood for the average hangry American. Prices are reasonable and service is good in our case. Our waiter was quite the Johnny-on-the Spot. And those rolls they serve -well everyone knows they are to die for. We got the top-of-the-line steaks (I like using all of these linked adjectives). The Bone-In 23-Ounce Porterhouse. These puppies were yumski and you gotta love those cross-hatched grill marks. Tasty stuff and these certainly took care of business just fine. I ate the whole thing and it left me on a nutritional high, bro. IMPORTANT!: I would like to add that the Texas Roadhouse Steak Sauce is INCREDIBLE. It's what A-1 Sauce (on my list of top five bummer foods) should have been. The TRSS is near indescribable in its yumskiness and complexity. It contains anchovies and lime juice and Monsanto/DuPont liquid smoke flavors -I do believe it may be these ingredients that make it "next level" and "off the hook." They sell the bottles for 10 bucks and I am definitely going to buy one next time. It's wicked epic AF. We got Seezer Salads which were real good (chilled real good too) and these took care of business as well. I got the Chili which was tasty but just room temperature which is a bummer and no bueno. It should be served piping hot -this is the only reason I am deducting a star. We also ordered the Sweet Tee which is de rigueur at TR. I would recommend a big ole sowdown at this location. See you in the Wild West, YELPers! NOTE: As stated prices are quite reasonable due to cost-saving measures such as using Lance (ghetto-grade) brand crackers instead of Saltines brand. The manager also came by and checked on us at the end of our meal. I can't get enough of their cinnamon butter rolls. Their free peanuts are good too. It now comes in bags for you with a bucket for the shells. I always get the prime rib but this time I wanted to try the country fried chicken and the waiter offered both the white and brown sauce to me. Tonight's dining experience almost didn't happen. My party of 4 arrived to dine and we were told there would be a 10 minute wait. That usually means the staff probably just needs a few minutes to clear a table. Well we waited, we used the restrooms and waited some more only to see multiple parties being sat before us. I have not been to Texas Roadhouse in a long time, since pre-pandemic. I went and they no long do the peanuts on the floor, but they have bags of peanuts for you to pick up if you want to bring some home to eat. But I forgot how good the food was, especially the steak. The ribeye was cooked very well and came with sides and the price was fantastic, about $31. Service was top notch the best, fast service with a smile. Well, I went out for my birthday with my best friend. This is one of our favorite places. We love their steak. The server was excellent. For as busy as it was, the drinks came out super quick. The appetizer came out just as quick. The food was hot. The plates were hot. She was very quick to catch our empty glasses for refills. All in all, this location is one of my favorites for a good time and even better good steak. One thing I wish the added was there peanuts in a bag like I have seen at other texas locations. The customer service there sucked from the moment we walked in so we left and came here (which was her 2nd choice).... Should have read the Yelp reviews 1st before heading to Yamato smh... Anywho, glad we came here cause yet again we had a great experience, great customer service (even while it was crazy packed on a Saturday night), and most importantly we had a great meal! My BFF ordered the filet mignon meal medium rare... She ate every last drop lol! I did not even have time to take a pic! I ordered the country fried steak meal again (you can't go wrong with this dish)... It was sooooo bomb! We had the assorted appetizer and the margaritas with a patron kicker! My one and ONLY nic-pick is I wish they had the price of the drinks on the menu (but that's like every restaurant)... My biggest regret is not leaving with a box of their famous freshly baked bread and cinnamon butter and their peanuts. There peanuts come in a bag now but our table didn't get any. I heard so much about this place and my son thought it would be a nice place to eat for my birthday. We ordered online to bring it home and i have to say i am very unhappy. We were told it would be ready at 6:30pm and when we got there they were so disorganized you go inside because your not greeted by anyone under the tent. Which looked like valet parking because it was in the middle of the parking lot. Then they ask your name send you back out to wait after 20 minutes food finally comes out meanwhile people are coming up with no mask and nothing is said. This was our first Texas Roadhouse experience. We are in town for a wedding and although this is a chain restaurant we don't have many in our area of Pennsylvania. I would definitely say this is a super fun place to go with a group looking to let loose and the rolls on the table are AMAZING !!! I ordered a half slab of ribs mashed potatoes with cheese and bacon and corn. My fiance ordered a 10 ounce ribeye with steak fries and corn. We both thoroughly enjoyed our food, the portions are huge and we had plenty to take home. The staff was also friendly and attentive. My only complaint however is the cleanliness. **NOTE: IF you have a peanut allergy I would steer clear of this establishment by a city block.... PEANUTS EVERYWHERE ** If there is one thing I would recommend here it is DEFINITELY their bread + cinnamon butter combo (Holy cow yummm). For a steakhouse chain the place is pretty consistent for some of their steaks. They have complimentary peanuts (and will give you a paper sack full if you ask for it!) and as mentioned above, their bread is awesome. Our table shared the cactus blossom which is basically an onion sliced in a particular way, battered and dunked into hot oil. The dipping sauce goes great with it but looks like they didn't peel the onion completely when they fried it as there were bites that still had the skin attached. I got the 12oz prime rib (medium rare) with a caesar salad and fries with a side of au jus and horseradish. The prime rib was cooked to what I ordered and was pretty good. Our server was a nice enough fella but seemed like a new hire (our beverages were topped off only after some persistence in getting his attention). I tried some of the other offerings (country fried steak, ribs, shrimp etc) which tasted alright but not something I would personally order for myself (prime rib or nothing!).
