I always feel like my experience at Texas Roadhouse is just okay. It's always terribly packed and I find the food always leaves me wishing it was done a bit differently. We had a gift card so decided to give it another chance. I'm currently doing the keto diet and even though you'd think a steakhouse would be a great option, I was severely limited on side options. I got the 6 oz sirloin, medium, with sauteed onions and chili to go (since there were *no* keto-friendly sides). My steak came out a mix of well done and medium well. Our waitress was very nice, but very busy and did not check in immediately after we received our food to confirm everything came out right. I probably wouldn't have wanted to wait for another steak anyways, but it's always nice to be asked how things are. As far as the restaurant overall, it was uncomfortably warm and there were a number of problems with getting us seated. So, it's what I expected from Texas Roadhouse. Overcooked and overpriced steak with an overwhelmingly loud ambiance. I know that's their brand, so I do expect it when going, but I always expect the food to be just a bit better and it always disappoints. read more

Very busy on a Saturday at 430 pm. But we only waited about 5 minutes to be seated. Austin, our waiter was so on top of things even though he was quite busy. I have been to many Texas Roadhouse around the country and this was by far the worst. We ended up leaving before our food even arrived. Place was not even full and we waited 20 minutes for our drinks and never actually received the appetizers. Waiter was nice enough but not very competent and the manager was just rude. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

This location does NOT answer the phone for to go orders. It is very frustrating when a few months ago they used to. They also used to do curbside, but now you have to walk in to a crowded restaurant to pick up your food. It has been taking about an hour to get a simple chicken critters meal also. Went in on a slow Tuesday, sat at the bar and ordered food. A few minutes later the bartender came up and told me I couldn't have my stainless steel water bottle because people can use them to bring Alcohol in. I understood the concern, opened it and showed him it was a water bottle with a filter inside. He went to speak to the manager, came back and asked me to take it to the car. I thought it was silly but I offered to just set it to the side and not use it while I was there but they insisted that I get up and walk it out to the car. Order to go because we can't ever get into the place. Ordered prime rib. When I went to the to go window the lady said "you guys got the last 2 prime ribs". Right there I should have known but o didn't look at my food before going home. Mistake on my part. But when you pay this much for food ,you think that you wouldn't have too. Horrible cleaning for this restaurant location. The last time we were here in February 2023 the silverware was disgusting. We came here tonight and the silverware was dirty again. A piece of shredded cheese was on the knife and in the napkin. Never again will I visit this location. read more

I love the food here but am sorry that our party of 9. (4 adults and 5 kids) are no longer allowed to sit together. 2months ago corporate announced that they would not seat any party together if it was larger than 8. There are big signs announcing this when you go in but it is still disappointing. We sat at 2 tables in adjacent areas and had to keep running back and forth. Roadhouse is awesome! I have eaten at several of their locations and every time has been great. I love being able to snack on the peanuts from the time you walk in the door until you leave. They also have bags of peanuts available (at no charge) to take home as you are leaving the restaurant. The waitress was great. She was very attentive and refilled our water glasses several times. I ordered the 16 oz. steak and it was delicioius. My girlfriend also really enjoyed her steak. The portion size of the steak and the sides was perfect. The bread was very tasty. The food was also delivered at reasonable times and we didn't have to wait too long to eat. I don't really have anything bad to say about this experience. Terribly run operation. Texas Roadhouse Camp Hill needs new management. Long wait to get the explanation that "the kitchen is busy tonight," then a longer wait still before the second chorus of "well, the kitchen is really busy tonight." The fact is that the Texas Roadhouse in Camp Hill is just not well run. I saw one family leave as their food came out. The adult female told the server to "Keep it. I'm done waiting." as the entire family headed for the door. If you can't service the customer volume then don't fill the tables. Or is the attitude go something like "Fill every table. Take the profit. They'll put up with us or we don't need them." And a tip for the manager: have someone grab a mob and run it across the bathroom floor occasionally. First, I used to go to this location and it had great service and food. Now there are too many millennials working there. I called to order Prime Rib for my hubby for a special occasion and the girl on the phone said "we always have prime rib". I get there and they ran out. After that we go to this restaurant to dine in and they said the same thing when I asked about Prime Rib which is not true! Tonight my whole family went there, a family of 5. The staff was LAZY! They stood at one end of the table and asked us to pass out our own drinks, then they tried to pass out the food, instead of placing our food on the table in front of us, they handed it to us. They even tried to hand my child her food and said be careful the plate is hot. Very unprofessional. I noticed that the parking lot is usually filled up but not anymore! I understand why. Stopped in here on a Wednesday night and it was packed! The wait was only about 20 minutes since there was just two of us. After we were seated, our waitress, Nova, was over quickly to get our drink and app orders. She was super friendly and very fast with our items. We ordered the cactus blossom as a starter and that came out quickly. I actually never had one of these fried onion blossoms before and I liked it! It was a nicely seasoned hunk of fried goodness. Both my mom and I ordered the filet--she got the 6oz and I got the 8oz. We got salads and baked potatoes as the two sides. I enjoy the salads here. They always ask if the items they put on it are ok with you. I love the combinations of hard boiled egg bits, red onions, tomatoes, croutons and cheese. My steak was wonderfully seasoned and cooked to a nice medium rare. No steak sauce needed, which is the best sign! Overall, this place has been pretty consistent with the quality of the food. The ease of online ordering is great, but when you are consistently anywhere from 10-35 minutes late (like tonight) in having online orders ready at the confirmed time, what is the point? Texas Roadhouse will forever be my favorite restaurant. Incredible staff: waitresses, hosts, and cooks are very friendly. I've been to 4 different locations in different states and have always had a great time. Today I got the 6 oz sirloin with corn and mashed potatoes, but I've gotten the roadkill, chili, ribs, I like it all! My sirloin was yummy, but when I first got it I thought "this is so small!", but after eating rolls and my side it was the perfect size. My favorite food here is the french fries with cheese and bacon bits. I'll never order them for myself but I'll eat all of my dad's! Came in on a Thursday around 7pm. Ordered pretty quickly. Got salads, appetizer, entrees. 2 of 3 salads made it to the table before the meal. The third came shortly after. The appetizer was delivered as we took our first bites of our meals. Never offered a drink refill. Ignored by our server. Chili was cold. Somehow a miniature marshmallow ended up in the bottom of my ceasar salad. The manager came by on her own and without us complaining, apologized and took the appetizer off the check. Terrible experience.... Poor costumer service poor management... This is the third time I have arrived progressively earlier specifically to get prime rib (the first on my birthday) and each time they were out this time we arrived at 5:45. But that is just the start. 1. This time when we were seated my family of 3 was put at a six person table in the middle of a busy aisle and when asked if we could have a smaller booth we were told no there were none available and we would need to go the front and wait longer. This even though there was a 4 person booth right beside us that was empty and remained empty the entire time we were there. 2. When we sat down my after a little while my daughter noticed that she had some type of sauce all over her lap! It was apparently on the underside of the table we had been forced to sit at! Calling the waitress over she got a cloth and had my daughter wipe it off and then from under the table. All this with barely a hint of an apology from her. 3. After this my wife also notices caked on food on her "clean" plate. The waitress takes it away and brings back a wet plate which makes me wonder if it was really a new clean plate? I do understand that these things happen but it's another thing in the context of the evening. 4. We finally order and things seem to be ok and I finally order and I'm able to order the prime rib so maybe things can be saved... Nope, the waitress comes back and says they are now out and I need to order something else. Again rudely noting after I explained this being third time and it before 6, "when it's out it's out" 4. After this and talking over with my family we decided to just leave. 5. On the walk out my daughter noticed she also had bbq sauce all over her back!! 6. At this point I was super annoyed and went back in to talk to a manager. After waiting for him to appear he finally showed up and I explained the whole experience. He had an excuse for everything. In the end gave us the owners card and told us to email him if the sauce did not come out when WE washed it plus a certificate for 2 free dinners... there are 3 of us.... Not that we will be going back. Overall a terrible experience. They made their poor management our problem which is the worst kind of customer service. One other note on the doubtful veracity of the Prime Rib availability and poor service of our waitress. The menu says it is available on Friday Saturday and Sunday but one other time over the last month we actually decided call ahead before going on a Sunday and we're told they do not serve it on Sunday's. In speaking to the waitress she said that we should try to come another night like Sunday. As a family of four (2 kids aged 7 and 4), we sat down at 6:30 and weren't served our food (dinner salads and a steak) until 7:30. Even worse, when our food was finally ready, our waitress had missed ordering my youngest's dinner. The manager came over to apologize and said it would be ready in 7 mins. It took 20 mins and was way over cooked. We had already given my child portions of our own meals and were putting on our coats to leave when it finally arrived. People make mistakes but everything about this dining experience was terrible. We all know how busy this place is. Each night they are pretty well packed. I state that as a reference to how much food they must have to have on hand in order to meet their needs. I went there today 11/21/18 as they opened at 3pm. From the bar I placed an order for 20 side order of green beans. Yes, that is a large side order but this is Texas Roadhouse where they must expect to serve a ton of food each night. The bartender took my order and a short time later the Manager comes to tell me that he cannot sell me 20 orders or he will not have enough for the night?????? Seriously, 20 orders of green beans will bring this super busy place to their knees. There was no use arguing about it but being in the business world myself, I often wonder at the stupidity often encountered when trying to spend money. It's not like there was a discount either...the 20 orders are all full price which is fine, I figured as much going in. I suppose it is great that they are so busy they have the luxury to turn away business so freely. BTW went down the road to Cracker Barrel and got the beans I needed...no problem for them!!! Solid spot for mom and dad to get steak and potatoes with a good enough kid's menu to keep the little ones happy without breaking the bank. We've always had good quality steaks here. It's pretty cool that they let you select your steak before it's cooked, though that's more of a gimmick than anything. They all look about the same in the tray.
