Many, many years ago when Texas Roadhouse first opened, I ate there once and never went back. It just didn't impress at the time. More recently, my family went here for dinner. And then we went back for dinner again the week after. And maybe a couple more times since then. LOL. It is a lot better than what I remembered back then. This place gets super super busy especially on the weekends so definitely do call ahead. We love the warm, freshly baked rolls they bring with you when you are seated. The dishes are pretty big and you get two sides with each entree. Their steaks are good and cooked correctly to the temp you ask for. The atmosphere is great for kids and families. First off kudos to the employees here. They get five stars for service. Truly a lot of fun, organized, and efficient. Thank you for such a clean location too. Great turnaround time also, which isn't always the case these days. Give this place a try. Taste is subjective. I personally like Longhorn more. Their steaks seem to be tastier and better quality. One of our friends told us to try, so we had dinner there. Could not believe that so many people there after the snow! The lady on the front desk was not friendly at all! Now if you go through my previous reviews you may ask why I'm at Texas Roadhouse but be aware I'm not one to pass up a good Prime Rib Dinner. In fact I tend to search out everyday places that do food well. Like any chain restaurant Texas Roadhouse can be hit or miss but the service and goal of providing good food is found at each one I've tried. I typically sit at the bar with my coworkers so it's easy to have a conversation but also allows for conversations with the bartenders about the important things in life. After a busy Saturday with a visit to the Prince William County Fair, we were on the food and hungry (i.e., "Fair" food was overpriced this year). We decided to stop at this Texas Roadhouse location for a late lunch/early dinner (i.e., it was about 4:30PM). We had about a five minute wait and were then seated. Out server, Riley, came to our table and was attentive to us and responded to our requests in a timely manner (e.g., straws, more butter for the free dinner rolls, refills etc). We both ordered the 12 ounce Ft. Worth Ribeye steaks. Our steaks were just the way we ordered them and flavorful. With the price of beef these days, this meal was at a "bargain" price. We both ate all of our steaks and almost all of the two sides. Eating the free dinner rolls ahead of time was a big mistake! Whenever I come here always get the catfish without fail. Well, they were out. I didn't know what to do with myself. I decided to try the beef medallions. It comes with rice and two additional sides. It's really three sides. I was expecting a little teeny bit of rice but it was a full serving. I selected a baked potato and a salad for my 2 sides. I did not finish my meal. I ended up taking two of the medallions home and all of the rice. The medallions were cooked to my liking, tender, and well seasoned. I loved grilled meat! The baked potato was on point as usual. The "Texas Roadhouse" is a restaurant that I normally would not frequent. I bit too kitschy in the Americana department. Upon entering the eatery a patron must wait to be seated. Fortunately, I arrived before the dinner crowd and was greeted by a smiling waitress wearing jeans and a "I love my job" tee shirt. "Would you like to have some of our freshly baked bread?" She asked as we passed a counter with piping hot buns and a view into the bakery area of the kitchen. Then we passed what looked like a butcher display and was asked if I cared to choose a stake for my my dinner. I was reminded of an old Fraser episode where Martin takes Niles and Fraser to a local eatery he frequented. The steaks were taken from table to table on a cart so the patrons could choose their meal. It was at this point that I began to think I made the wrong decision. The loud country music playing in the background did not help. Shortly after being seated another waitress; donning the same uniform; arrived to take my drink order. No bottled water here, but the seltzer came 'pronto.' With a wedge of lemon and little ice, just like I had ordered. I was surprised that the waitress did not have provide a menu. Since it was my first time at the "Texas Roadhouse" she explained the ropes. Menus are on the table, most orders come with two sides, the buns - she referred to them as 'fresh bread' - was baked on premises and the stakes are excellent. Since it was indeed my first time at the restaurant, another waitress came with a free sampling of six of the most requested sides. I do not like to waste food and denied the sampler. The waitress also provided a, medium sized, free bag of peanuts. I asked the waitress what she though the best steak was. I followed her recommendation and ordered a six ounce New York strip steak. I also ordered a side of grilled shrimp, corn, and a small Caesar salad with the dressing on the side. The salad was fresh and the dressing very tasty. The grilled shrimp were too spicy for me. Shortly after the appetizer the entry arrived. To my delight, the steak was excellent! The corn, although tasty, was also too spicy for my palate. The waitress was very attentive and refilled my glass when it was empty. If you are in the mood for a good steak do not shy away from the 'Texas Roadhouse' in Chantilly, Va. the food is good - especially if you enjoy the kick from spices. Takeaways 1. Ample parking 2. I grew up in a town where Texas Roadhouse was the place to eat every weekend. Fast forward x years and I just discovered this Texas Roadhouse is just 30 minutes away. My husband and I arrived right at 5 and it was already busy! Luckily we joined the waitlist while en route and didn't have to wait more than a few minutes. I ordered the chicken critters to see if it was just as good as I remembered. The chicken was a little dry but the delicious ranch made up for it. My husband ordered the ribeye and it was fantastic. The steak was very tender and had a good amount of fat. I'll probably order the ribeye as well next time, it was that good! If you want a good steakhouse meal for a low price, Texas Roadhouse is where you should go. We went on a Saturday during lunch time and we got seated immediately with a basket of rolls. Texas Roadhouse is famous for their rolls, and they are free so definitely plan on eating a bunch of rolls. Our waiter was very attentive and funny. The food at Roadhouse is always delicious, you really can't go wrong. We had the combo appetizer and the fried pickles were the star of the appetizer. You can definitely fill up on rolls, so you don't need an appetizer but I'd recommend trying atleast one. I got the 6 oz sirloin with the seasoned rice and house salad as my entree, and my steak was cooked perfectly. Came here for Mother's Day with the family and although it was super busy, we had a great experience. The sweet rolls are actually sweet enough without adding the sweet butter (like King's Hawaiian rolls), yum! Texas Roadhouse should be a known a known entity to anybody that goes to upscale dining every once in awhile. Kind of like a competitor to outback or ponderosa, Texas Roadhouse has great cinnamon, butter and little rolls that accompany the meals. As we grow into our golden years, we look forward to reaping specials wherever we can. Texas Roadhouse has a great early bird dinner selection. So we take advantage every once in awhile. And the experience is always the same. I like Texas Roadhouse. The ambiance is set for imitating a rowdy honky tonk I guess. But the noise, the buzz, the chatter, is often deafening whereas you cannot hear your own thoughts or the conversation in your booth. So I leave with a mild headache and a full stomach. The food is okay, but I think we're going to give this one a break. No reason to be cheap in retirement unless you can't afford it. We'll look for a quieter place. read more

You can choose a steakhouse quality slab of meat, have it fired up exactly as you want it, and get two delicious sides (I'm partial to the chili) and rolls with cinnamon butter, all for ~$15 (+/- depending on cut and size of steak). The vibe is lively. A great place for dinner with friends, with family (including kids... it's nice-ish but as far from stuffy as possible), etc. We got great service at this location (I believe our server's name was Bert). Quick, friendly, helpful, and pretty funny. To the extent that there's ANY downside to Texas Roadhouse, it's that it gets busy and sometimes there's a wait for a table. Seating was immediate as we utilized the online option to "join waitlist" prior to arrival. Highly recommend this as for a Friday dinner, there was a wait at the door and the dining area was full. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare and the chicken critters were delicious as always. The appetizer and main course were fast and fresh. Service was friendly and very helpful with all our requests. There was even a nice little performance from the wait staff halfway through our dinner with some music and dancing. Ok. I was not expecting a lot from this place. Gotta be honest. I was so pleasantly surprised. Every single staff member I encountered was pleasant, cheerful, accommodating, polite, helpful. We were told that it was going to be a 20 minute wait and it was less than 10 minutes. By the time we ordered our drinks at the bar and took our first sip we were seated. It was very busy on a Sunday night. I didn't expect this however it was a holiday weekend. We were seated with fresh rolls and cinnamon butter. Mmmmmm. Yummy. Our appetizers arrived quickly. The onion appetizer and the potato skins were hot and fresh. Delicious. Our food was cooked as ordered. The portions were generous and our waiter was extremely attentive and prompt. The employees all seemed happy and team players. This place is great for large parties or small. They don't take reservations but you can call ahead to put your name on their list. Due to things they have a small outside area of picnic tables plus indoor is open with every other booth/table closed off. One change is no containers of peanuts at the table but don't worry they are still available... just ask for a bag and one will appear. As seating is limited it's always a good idea to get on their waitlist ahead of time.... can do calling I but they also have a app which has been enhanced... if you use the app you get a text message which tells you to type "here" when you arrive... you than stay in your car till the next text which tells you to proceed to the host stand. Everything about the meal was exactly as one might expect from a chain steakhouse. The wait time was minimal on a Sunday afternoon. They alert via text when a table is ready. Peanuts are available for snacking on while you wait, they can be found in bins near the front door. Service was friendly, and when I asked for a to-go container for my gravy, the server brought me an extra side of gravy to make sure I had plenty to take home. I thought that was super sweet. This location is all booths which I love! There is also a full bar. Speaking of, their margaritas are delicious! However, be aware, if your drink arrives with a tube shot in it, that is an extra charge that will show up on your bill. That was the only thing that left a sour taste in my mouth...I can deal with aggressive up-selling, but when servers take matters into their own hands and add extra things on, that's not cool. What my stars mean: 5 is outstanding, a must-experience, someplace I would recommend to a tourist. 4 is great, someplace I would love to return again and again. Long story short, we took 3 baskets to-go. I came here with a few people and made a reservation about 30 minutes ahead of time. We got seated immediately and ordered a sinful amount of food. I got a medium-rare strip with caesar salad and chili as my sides. Did not disappoint. My steak was cooked a perfect mid-rare. Haven't been here in a while. Stopped in Saturday night around 6 and there was a slight wait. No biggie. We got a table 5 minutes later. Ordered the Cactus blossom and grilled shrimp appetizers which were both good and came out promptly. For dinner, I ordered a filet, medium rare and my buddy ordered a ribeye, medium. We both got baked potatoes and veggies. The steaks came out undercooked. My medium rare filet was slightly less than rare (cool red center) and my buddy got his steak medium rare. Both steaks went back and my buddies came back closer to medium well. My filet seemed to take a while, and came back way overcooked. The manager asked me how it was and I told her it was now overcooked. She didn't offer to fix it or bring me a replacement steak. At that point, I was also full from my broccoli and baked potato. Kind of sad when a steakhouse serves better vegetables and backed potatoes than a steak. Very disappointed. Especially surprised that the manager who brought my filet out didn't at least offer to replace it. I can't recommend this location. They don't cook steaks properly and when they incorrectly cook them and ruin a meal, don't do anything to fix it. read more

The restaurant was very dirty, floor and tables, and the atmosphere was less than pleasant. Servers seemed very rushed and short indicative of a fast food joint.
